Why ASP pages on desktop open in DW CS3

Hello,
I just completed the installation of CS3 on Win XP SP2
machine. Everything seems to work fine, except that when I click on
an ASP file, with the windows explorer, located anywhere on my pc
the file opens in Dreamweaver CS3 instead of in Internet Explorer.
Why is this? What's wrong?
Just in case, Internet Explorer opens ASP files on the
Internet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not only is that page invalid HTML (the text needs to be in a
container),
but it also contains no ASP/VBScript, or any connection to a
database.
Notwithstanding that, however, merely opening this page in DW
should not
also fire up IE. And you sure shouldn't get any error on it -
since there
is really nothing there.
Finally, you cannot just OPEN an ASP page from your computer
in IE, you
would have to SERVE it by browsing to -
http://localhost/pathtothefile/filename.asp

FF4.0 wants to download a .asp page ratehr than open it. How do I change this behavior?

I am on a OSX 10.6.7. One example of the page that I want to open is at http://tinyurl.com/3moz8fk When I click on the link, FF downloads the page. When I enter the link in Safari, it opens as expected. I don't see anywhere that I can change the behavior of the .asp documents in order to open as expected.

I know that the doc is a PDF. Firefox isn't getting to the point of downloading the pdf, it thinks that it's supposed to d/l the ASP page.

Why does pages 09 keep opening a new mail message

I'm using pages 09 now (was using 08; tried the new 5.0 but it is useless based on backward compatability)
When I click on a name in a document it immediately opens a new email message with To as the contact I clicked on. I've tried turning off all the auto complete, etc I can find but it still happens.
Specifically,
if I go to the footer, the next time I land on a name in the body of the document it opens up a new email.
Once I close the mail message I can continue typing, editing etc.; but the moment I go to the footer and then return to the text box it jumps to a new mail message when I click on a name.
How do I turn this off?

More on this and a correction-
there is a part of this document outined in blue- whenever I go into this part from the footer it initiates an email to me; it doesn't matter where I click. My earlier question said when I click on a name this happens; but actually anywhere in the outlined area.
some of the document does not have thin blue outlines; when I go there I'm ok- no new email.
so, what are the blue lines about?
and why does it send me an email when I move into the outlined area?

Why WAS Page does not open on 80 NR ? But Open on 5 NR 00 in ABAP+JAVA Sys

We have ECC 6.0 with ABAP+JAVA System
We recently upgraded to SP12 on ABAP as well JAVA.
After that
http://hostname.domain.com:80<NR> link does not open with WAS Page
But
http://hostname.domain.com:5<NR>00 link open with WAS Page.
Due to this Our PDF Pages generation is failing in Travel Mgmt.
Any suggessions dear Experts.

Why my Pages dosen't open any document?

It woks fine in the template chooser screen, but when i try to open any files or try to create a new one it freezes. I don't know what to do. ):

Well, it was up to date. But when i tried to reinstall it still didnt work. but when i tried to recover it from Time Machine it worked and i dont know why. Anyway, thanks.

Web page will not open. "Safari cannot open page. I've deleted cache, reset, gone into proxy settings--(will not allow to go further--needs)

I am trying to figure out why some pages will not open. I've tried proxy settings and it does not allow me to check boxes. Certain pages--like groupon stuff--will not open. Is there an easy fix? Will you hep? Thanks

I am so sorry to hear that you cannot open some web pages by typing a URL.
Please supply some specific examples, so other Readers can try them to see what the problem might be. Trial and error is impossible.

Why are pages windows open in all of my desktops??

I am running pages in the most recent iteration of osX. I am wondering why the documents I have open are on each of my desktops. Such that when I swipe between desktops to look at something other than the documents I have open in Pages those open documents follow me. What is up this did not happen in the recent past. I have repaired permissions and restarted to no avail.

It required a password ( ? ) which I do not have. Now I cannot access any of my webpages or bookmarks, including mail etc. I have no idea what I might have done to cause this problem. I am not particularly savvy and don't know where to begin.

Because, without THE BlackBerry Data Plan, you will only have use of your WiFi HotSpot browser, and that is that. No email, none of the RIM data application features like AppWorld or the BlackBerry Facebook application.
It worked at first, because you probably had leftover provisioning Service Books from the previous owner, I am guessing (you mentioned "checked with my seller).

I have a problem a tabs each time I open a fresh webapge it will open up in a previously open page instead of opening in a fresh page. WHY? BTW Open in a new windows instead is ticked

I have two tabs up "facebook and download.com" now if I click on a fresh page I hope to see a 3rd tab open up but no! it just opens up in one of the two tabs I have already have open.
I have no idea why this is!

The setting in Tools > Options > Tabs: "New pages should be opened in": "a new tab/window" is for links that specify a target window to open the link in.<br />
That option allows you to divert such links to a new tab or to the current tab.
* Hold down the Ctrl key and left-click a link or middle-click a link to open a link or bookmark in a new tab.
* Hold down the Shift key in addition to the Ctrl left-click or middle-click to toggle loading in the background.
* Hold down Shift and left-click a link to open a link in a new window.
Links that do not specify a target window open by default in the current tab.

I have tried a several times to repairing permissions, restarting the mac, relaunched Finder, but no difference.
I copied the download folder to the dock...there I can open the files, but not deleting them or copying them.
When I open finder, then I click on the folder Download, after a while of thinking, it throws me out and back to the desktop.
already tried to sign in with the guest user account, then I am able to open the download folder.(but not seeing my files)
When I am trying to change the download folder in Safari, it also throws me out and gives me a error report ,for sending to Apple.
I think it's a settings fault or i think my download folder is locked. Almost desperat, already called support center,
They couldn't help, for free, due the 90 days free online help i have reached. If I want to solve this problem, they could try it , but it cost me almost 50 euros.
hope there is someone, who's knowing this problem.
By the way, I think it also could be that I dragged some downloaded music to the desktop, and dragged some folder that has the settings. Now its changed???
Or I was downloading something, and deleted the files in the download folder while it was unpacking and reparing the files.
It's not easy for a beginner Mac user (3 months) to already solve this problems.

Why am I prompted to download the .asp file whenever I attempt to view an asp page in a browser?

I am doing tutorials on dynamic pages in Dreamweaver 8. I am doing both php and asp. When I preview an asp page, for instance, it displays properly - from 'Localhost.' When I enter the url of the page in a browser, however, the 'Do you want to open or save this file?' prompt appears. (See attachment 'Doc1')
What gives? Thank you.
The same thing happens with php pages. I can preview them ok. But when I try to view them in the browser on the WWW, instead of page content, I get the prompt to download the file.

Why do .asp pages not show in Design view

I have been asked to take over a website
built with .asp. Originally the pages all showed perfectly and I was able to amend. However, recently some pages will only open
displaying code - not html but computer code. This is a small excerpt from one of the pages. I would so appreciate some help. I use Dreamweaver 8.

Certain pages won't open via Time Capsule - why?

First of all, my internet works fine via Time Capsule - except 2 internet pages I cannot open. I tried with my HP Laptop (not via Time Capsule), they work. So it's to the pages fault.
Does anybody have an idea why? Here are the pages

Until yesterday they worked perfectly fine. But now "the site cannot be loaded" anymore.

Already tried: Reset Time Capsule, Delete Cookies, Reset Safari, Google Chrome/Firefox (exactly the same pages won't work there either), Restart Computer, Update Flash Player - nothing helped.

1. Checked with ISP, everything is fine (Pages worked when i used my old HP laptop wirth the same ethernet cable...)
2. broadband was always fine, even 2 days ago when all the homepages worked

4. If I connect my old HP Laptop directly to the modem, all the sites work perfectly fine.
