All apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection that is tied to the iTunes that was used to download the apps. This means you have apps on your iPhone that were downloaded with your daughter's iTunes account. Apps cannot be transferred or merged with another iTunes account.
Delete the apps from your iPhone that were downloaded with your daughter's iTunes account to prevent being prompted for the account's password when there are app updates for the apps downloaded with the account. An iTunes account cannot be deleted.

I found that the only time Siri will read anything to you is if it finds a Wikipedia article. Siri will let you know it found that, and ask if you want it to be read out loud. Other than that you will hear the "I found this, take a look".
The only other thing you can do is activate "Speak Screen". It will involve you taking a look at your phone for a moment, selecting what you'd like to look at, but Siri will read the content to you. It's in Settings > General > Accessibility. Once activated, all you have to do is slide two fingers from the top of the screen and you will have it read to you. I use it all the time because of my astigmatism. It's pretty useful. -
Why can I not disable the guest user in the 10.8.2 update? I have never enabled the guest user, but after the update, it was automatically enabled with a "managed" tag. It is not selectable even after entering my admin password to unlock the options. I was able to select the account under "parental controls", but again, could not delete it. Why Apple? Why?!!????
SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

after upgrading to IOS 5.1 I no longer can see Verizon at the top of my Iphone and under settings>general>Network>says Not Available Why is this? Did the upgrade cause this?

If this doesn't resolve it you most likely have a hardware failure. Fortunately, your phone is in warranty, so if you take it to an Apple store they will replace it. -
I have a Western Digital My Book hard drive which i use to store my media/data/back up. I tried to transfer some files on my desk top to it yestrday and it was taking forever so decided to stop it. Now it just shows under the Copying box, stopping but it isn't? I tried then to down load the same images t my USB memory stick and now that is doing the same. I wonder if i is to do with upgrading to Mavericks as no problems before?
I have check my WD My book on another computer and thankfully all mmedia is still in tack!
How can i quit this copying so i can shut down my computer?

I really need to back up my work by tonight - help! Any suggestions there too?option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. Why is it that in these newer versions of Firefox (I have 21.0), when I open a link that I've saved, it does NOT display the URL in the address bar any more?
I can't drag and drop the link into an email, and I can't see the actual web address I'm connected to for reference OR for security purposes. Why was this changed?
It becomes necessary to reveal the properties of the URL link I've saved, using the Windows "Properties", then copying and pasting the URL into the Firefox address bar, before I can do anything with it.No changes have been made and no problem with extensions has interfered with the URL appearing in Firefox before. Only with the last few new versions of Firefox has this cropped up. Also, the link opens correctly - it just doesn't display the URL in the address bar, instead it just reads (in gray) "Search or enter address." How could another extension interfere if Firefox is the sole program associated with .htm, .html files?

The songs on my Ipod Classic wont play at all although you can feel and hear the machinery working hard. The tracks are not playng at all but you can see the Ipod rewinding them all and returning to the album. And this happens to the second IPOD I just got!
First off, I would STRONGLY suggest that a external hard drive would make you life much easier by at least being able to back up your songs on the external drive for when you need them. Even if you don't want them in the iTunes library, you can have them all ready on the external to be re-added as needed. You can get 100's of gigs for under $100 shipped.
Anyway, since you used Yamipod, are all the songs back on the computer? If so, I would go ahead and restore the iPod, let iTunes then resync everything back to the iPod, then switch it back to manual and see if the restore and resync clears up the issue.

Why in the world would Apple make the track pad LESS useful in OS Lion? I hate that I can't g back to the top of a web page with a singe swipe. And of course all the other gestures are totally reversed. IMHO, this was not an improvement.

When I sync iphone to itunes, why do my soundtracks not show as albums but via artist? IE: Pulp Fiction has 16 songs by different artists. In itunes I can pull up pulp fiction and play the 16 songs. In iphone sync the 16 songs are seperate and listed by Al Green, cowboy junkies etc... How to fix this so the ipod part of my iphone will show & play the soundtracks as albums... thanks.
What is selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
If you have chosen selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres - if Pulp Fiction is available under the Albums section to be selected as an Album to be transferred to your iPhone, is it selected?
If so, when you select Albums via the iPod on your iPhone, the album is not available there to select?
You can always create an iTunes playlist with these songs placing the songs in your preferred order. -
