Why do I have a lite blue scan bar and a lite blue box that goes on then of at diffrent times on my I-pad 2.. Does anyone know if there is a virus scan i should have on my I-pad?.
This happens on and off and if the scan like bar is into going across then the small box is going around each place like around the longin bottom then the next thing after that. But never at the same time and sometimes it doesn't do it at all. But then it will do it right off. Thanks for the help. Alice.
Virus=no. There are no known viruses that affect iOS devices.
I cannot picture what you are describing
Try a reset by holding the power and home keys down until the Apple logo appears. If the problem continues, take it in for diagnosis.

That appears to be a hard drive based camecorder. Usually these mount on the desktop of your computer as a little white hard drive icon. If you go inside you should be able to find the movie files the camera is saving. See what format they are (the last 3 letters at the end of the file name is a good place to start).
You can drag the movie files from the camera hard drive to the computer to copy them. Then convert them with a video file conversion program to a format iMovie can understand.
Try converting one of the files using a video file conversion program like Video Monkey: http://videomonkey.org/downloads/
In the "Convert to" drop down menu choose "DV" (Preferred), "Quicktime", or "MP4". Then import the resulting file into iMovie and see if that works any better.
If that program can't convert the files you can try another file conversion program:

how do I share movies/music between my computers. I have opened shared on both computers and both are on, but i am not able to drag anything from one to the other. Does anyone know where the settings button is on the bottom of the itunes screen?
Oops, I forgot a step between 7 and 8 ... before syncing the iPhone I need to explicitly send the document back to iTunes on the iPhone, or the changes won't come over at all ...
and then one more thing ... Numbers on iOS does NOT recognize a number of key features of the OSX app, such as conditional formatting ... so after editing my document on iOS and syncing it back to OSX on my Mac, all of those settings are lost (no more conditional formatting, have to do it all over again)

i've downloaded some free games for my iphone4 but they are using my internet because they have ads. does anyone know if there are any games that don't have these ads and don't require internet AT ALL?and if i disable my internet connexion, does it help?
Thank you. I put it in airplane mode like you suggested, but it looks to me like all the applications and ads are still running. Anyway, I'm just gonna play when I'm really really bored and use them as less as possible. Thank you again for your quick answer.

have figured out a few already (ln(x), log(x), x^y, sin(x), asin(x), sinh(x), asinh(x), sqrt(x), pi(x), exp(x) ) but a complete list would be very useful. At the moment I am trying to figure out if it can handle factorials (x!). Any ideas? I am using LV6i.Such a list is in Chapter 1 of the "G Math Toolkit Reference Manual". Please note that there are some differences to the formula node. Therefore, the help on the formula node lists some functions, that do not work with the Parser VIs.

I have an iPhone 5s and i've been noticing that my phone would go into Do Not Disturb mode at night. So I looked under settings, and there was a profile labeled "Consumer Input" and then I noticed DND was set for 10pm-7am. Does anyone know what caused it?
You downloaded a profile from somewhere. If it's not one you want or need, delete it.

I have lupus and am extremely photo sensitive. I have a filter on my laptop screen that blocks out 99% of UVA and UVB rays (otherwise I have very bad flareups). Does anyone know if there is a similar filter for the iPad? I have searched, but still have not found anything.

I have almost 1200 contacts in my Outlook, all of which were assigned to a Category, so I could look people up by that Category. Almost 900 of the Category assignments are now blank. I am a recent iPhone user. When I had my BlackBerry, you could see or assign the Category in each contact. I don't see that when I go to "edit" in a contact. I don't want to go through all my contacts and reassign the Category, and then have them wiped out again. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I'm not affiliated w/ the developer, just a happy user that gave up fighting the apple podcast app a while ago. I used to have a bunch of smart playlists in itunes for my podcasts, and come home every day and pathologically synced my phone as soon as I walked in the door, and again before I walked out the door in the morning.
Since my wife was doing this too, we were fighting over who's turn it was to sync their phone.
Since I've switched to Downcast, I no longer worry about syncing my phone to itunes at all. I can go weeks between syncs.
Setup a "playlist" in downcast (ex., "Commute") and add podcasts to that playlist. Add another playlist ("walk" or "workout") and add different podcasts to that one.
Set podcast priorities on a per-feed basis (ex., high priority for some daily news feeds, medium priority for some favorite podcasts, lower priority for other stuff). Downcast will play the things in the priority you specify, and within that priority, it will play in date order (oldest to newest).
Allegedly, it will also sync your play status to other devices, although that is not a feature I currently use and can't vouch for. It uses apple's iCloud APIs, so to some extent may be limited by what Apple's APIs can do. -
Hello, for some strange reason I cannot open any of the apps I have. I have tried turning the ipad on and off and this doesn't work. I can open everything else (videos, camera, etc) just no apps. Can anyone help please?
If it's the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's all apps including Apple's then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
Like my header says.. I have a I Phone 4S.. with recently installed OS 7 software.. One problem has occured.. when someone calls me thier phone rings
3 to 4 times before my phone rings.. I have tested this with several family and friends calling me..

My Epson Artisan 610 printer will not work with my new iPad 2. Not AirPrint compatible. Only certain HP printers work. Are there any solutions to this other than buying an HP printer?
Epson iPrint doesn't allow printing directly from something like Photos, you have to call up iPrint and THEN select Photos, but it does work and very well. For my Epson Artisan 725, I had it print a photo, best quality, on 4x6 Premium Photo Paper, and it DID automatically select the right "tray" with my photo paper.

I have to "force quit" every time I use iTunes or mail,does anyone know how I can fix this?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -

No, there's absolutely no issue. I guess the co-op just thought that now that the new iPad is available, and costs the same as the iPad 3 used to cost, it might as well offer the latest.

Is it possible to customize line spacing in Pages 5.5.3? My previous Pages 2.0.2 allowed me to choose spacing in 0.1 increments, but as far as I can tell Pages 5.5.3 only offers four options. Very limiting for creative documents.
