Why does my download box show the active download but then when it's done the box is empty, before this it used to retain the name/title of the download ?

My download box used to show me the completed downloads ... now it just shows the progress of the download and then goes blank?
It used to retain the completed download title/name and I could click it to open instead of having to go out to my desktop to open the download ...

that has not changed it ... I still get a blank download box after the download :(

I have the EXACT same problem. I just got done talking with Verizon, and a replacement is on the way.

Same problem here. Uninstalled old versions CS. Downloaded Creative Cloud Installer. Launched Installer. It said everything was installed (Creative Cloud for Desktop). Tried to launch CC for Desktop : nothing happens.
Then uninstalled CC Desktop, downloaded Installer, installed, launched installer, nothing happens…
So tired of that unefficiency!

The only way to see the contact name is for the information coming from Caller ID to match what is entered in the contact exactly. If it does not, then it would not display the name. Check to make sure what you are seeing when the number comes across that it is matching what you have in contacts. This includes the prefix as well.

Why does Firefox SOMETIMES not show the AVG toolbar

I have Firefox 14.0.1 and when I open it SOMETIMES the AVG toolbar is not there but sometimes it is. When it is not there the space for it to be in is there but nothing is in it. This happens often and I have to open another Firefox screen and go on doing so until one with the AVG toolbar appears

Do you need the AVG toolbar? Some people have reported that it causes problems with Firefox.

Why does my ibooks app show the remaining pages in the book instead of the remaining pages of the chapter?

The book that I'm currently reading always showed the remaining pages in the chapter. But as of this morning, the "... pages left" item on the down right side of my screen doesn't show the remaining pages in the chapter anymore, but the remaining pages of the book.
Was there a setting I accidentally changed? Because I can't remember changing anything. Anyone knows how this behaviour is triggered? And more important, how it can be changed back.

Not positive here but it almost sounds like your sign in was up and your wife used the computer and clicked on different sites that showed up on your sign in, Truth be told it was an accident that both you and her were unaware of. This is the reason that we have one sign in that we both use and when it gets cluttered I simply create a folder and put her stuff in it that way it isn't in my way.

My family has an iMac 21.5 with 10.8.5 OS. My wife and I both have user ID's set up. Recently, her bookmarks began showing up on my side. As far as I know, nothing has changed in our preferences, but a service update was recently performed and several things seem to have changed on the way I had my Safari set-up. For instance when I opened Safari, instead of showing my home page it would show the Top Sites page. And the bookmarks thing. Any suggestions?

Print a Wireless Network Test from the front of the printer (Network menu). Is it connected to your router with a valid IP address (not 0.0.0.0 or 169.254.x.x)?

The TV is seen as a second monitor, you need to drag content onto it. Just click this window and drag it to the left and it should appear on the TV. If you want the TV to mirror what you see on your iMac then you have to tell got to System Preferences - Display - Arrangement tab and click Mirror Displays.
