why does my itunes say "Itunes could not connect to the iphone because the device timed out"? I just want to sync my iphone with my itunes. please help

If you are using a USB hub, don't. Connect directly to the computer. Disconnect all other USB devices except for keyboard and mouse.

  • While restoring my iPod touch 4G (iOS 6.1.2), after the "extracting software" step, iTunes says that it cant connect to iPod server. Now my iPod is in recovery mode and I can't do anything. Please Help.

I have Windows 7 installed with the LATEST iTunes software.
I get this message while restoring and now my iPod is in restore mode. When I try to restore it fails after this message pops up. Please tell me a fix to it.
    1) I've checked my internet connection. All the sites work perfectly.
    2) I've tried it after disabling the windows firewall as well as my antivirus.
    3) I've also tried changes with the "hosts" file in Windows>System32>Driveres>etc.
    NO HELP WHATSOEVER.
    PLEASE HELP.

    Try:
    - Powering off and then back on your router.
    - Anything else here
iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
    - Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
    Public DNS — Google Developers
    OpenDNS IP Addresses
    - Try on another computer/network
    - Wait if it is an Apple problem

  • ITunes says I'm not connected to the internet when clearly I am...

I have re-authorised, re-started, re-installed...iTunes says I'm not connected even when I have the home page open. I don't know why it can't connect to server. I'm trying to restore an iPod touch. I can connect and back up my iPhone buut not the iPod. ***?

I wonder if this is a variation of the problem discussed in this article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304468
If that isn't it, try breiefly diabling your firewall to see if that allows connection. If it does, you need to look at the configuration of your firewall.

My itunes says " We could not complete your itunes store request.  The network connection was reset." what do i do?

All you can do is wait. Apple should have spent the money they allocated toward making iOS all white on network infrastructure to handle the traffic flow during the upgrade rollout.

  • I can not update my phone because itunes says i am not connected to the internet, but i am connected

I can not update my phone because itunes says i am not connected to the internet, but i am connected to the internet.

Download the last IOS you need and install it.
    Download iOS 4.3.5 Links

iOS 4.3.5 download (iPad 2) (WIFI)
iOS 4.3.5 download (iPad 2) (GSM)
iOS 4.3.5 download (iPhone 4) (GSM)
    iOS 4.3.5 download(iPhone 3GS)
iOS 4.3.5 download (iPod touch 4th generation)
iOS 4.3.5 download (iPod touch 3rd generation)
Step 1: Download and install latest version of Apple iTunes
Step 2: Sync your iPhone with iTunes
Step 3: From iTunes sidebar, select your device (in devices section on sidebar)
Step 4: Press and hold Shift key (Windows) or Alt key (for Mac) and click on “Update”.
Step 5: Select the location of .ipsw file you want to restore or load on to iPhone
Step 6: That’s all from your end, now iTunes will perform some automated steps to complete the installation. Your iPhone will restart once the progress is complete.
    Good luck !!

  • Itunes could not connect to your ipod because it is lock with with a passcode

itunes could not connect to your ipod because it is lock with with a passcode.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad/iPod into Recovery Mode

  • After downloading 10.5 Itunes says I'm not connected to the internet

I downloaded 10.5 and Itunes says I'm not connected to the internet. I am connected and the diagnostics inside Itunes even says I'm connected.

That was the first thing I tried..what the site told me, but its still telling me I'm not connected to the internet when I am. Should I just delete everything by hand. Like I said I wanted to take it back and upgrade to the 80 gig ipod.
