Why does my launchpad have ripples on the side of my screen?
This is my first time posting on the discussion, so I apologize if I incorrectly do something. Anyways, whenever I pull up launchpad, the entire right-side as these "ripples" that distort the screen. I have restarted my computer and it still does not fix it. Please help if anyone can.

There are discussions popping up everywhere about this now. I am seeing the same thing.... But I am still able to download from the App Store and iTunes - in spite of the fact that I am getting the Can't Connect to iTunes Store..

Why does my GoLive have most of the menus inactive?
I have GoLive versiion 8.0, running on a Mac with Mac OS 10.4.1, with 640Mb RAM
But most of the menu options are 'greyed out', so I can't even work out how do publish a site by changing any ftp / site settings.

Also check and repair permissions for your GoLive folder inside the ASpplciations folder. You need to have read & write perms for that folder and its content to start with. -
Why does my MacBook start up with the OS X utilities screen?
When I turn on my MacBook I get a screen that says OS X Utilities. It has 4 options, restore from time machine back up, reinstall OS X, get help online, and disk utility. I have played with the options but I'm scared I'm going to erase all of my files. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
For some reason it is starting directly into the Recovery HD - normally this has to be done deliberately by holding the key combination of Command + r
Firstly, try restarting holding down the Alt (option) key and it will hopefully take you to the Start-up Manager. Select Macintosh HD (you may need to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select it) and press enter. Let it boot, hopefully into 'normal' mode. Now restart again from the Apple menu - does it boot correctly now?

Why does Live View not work with the following: @media only screen and (max-width: 480px)?
When I use the above media query in my stylesheet Live View ceases to update the viewport. I have to update it manually each time I add or change a style. This is not the case when I use styles under a common tablet sized query @media only screen and (max-width: 768px), or when there is no query at all. Is this a bug or is there something I am missing here?

While watching an iTunes movie from my Apple TV, why does my movie stop playing at the 1 hour mark? I'm assuming I have a setting causing this to happen, but I have no idea what setting needs to be changed. Can someone help me?
It's right at an hour (consistently), but the computer goes to sleep prior to that. It's as if iTunes goes to sleep. Also, it wasn't always this way. Originally, the movies played through without interruption. At some point, I guess a setting was changed, and now I only get an hour. Also. My energy settings are set to go to sleep at 10 minutes.

Why does my clip have a higher quality in the viewer than the canvas?
When I am editing, I have noticed that sometimes my images and clips have a drastically higher quality in the viewer than the canvas/timeline, what is causing this, and how do I edit and export my films with the highest quality possible?

The answer is very simple; the Viewer shows the media at its native resolution while the Canvas shows the media at the Sequence resolution. I'd bet that in your case, the original media is of higher resolution that the Sequence in the Timeline.

I want new tab to open to home page and why does firefox not have a simple check box in the options because I can't keep going through the long tedious procedure each time I install firefox. It is something that should be in the options tab , and I want to know why it isn't. I am totally frustrated with firefox and getting ready to switch.
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Why does my ipod have on its screen the itunes symbol and the cord with an arrow pointing to the itunes symbol. I can't do anything with my ipod now!
Plug it into iTunes. If that does not work hold the power and home button untill the screen turns off then let go of the power button but KEEP holding the home button... this should bypass the connect to iTunes screen. Hope it helps.

Why does my 3GS have a white screen sometimes, and I have to lock the screen for it to go back to lock screen? Sometimes I have to attempt the lock screen several times, and it still doesn't work. I, then, attempt to restart it by powering it down, and the lock screen will appear again. The display goes out sometimes while I am on a call, and I can't hang up. I have to go through this hole process over and over again.

Back up all data before proceeding.

Working with two cinema display and PN- K321 and I can not preview the output video at 4K by DisplayPort, whereas with premiere and after effects I have no problemsLook, you can build an HD DVD with an SD movie, just as you can build an SD DVD with an HD movie. This is not a bug, it is most likely user error. Apple will not be addressing it.
Just start over, and ensure you are building an SD DVD by bringing up the inspector for the disc (click on the background in the Graphical tab).
Make sure SD DVD is selected:
(If you do the same thing on your ill fated project, you'll see that HD DVD is selected)
Build your DVD and you'll be fine.

P.S. You will need to google HD DVD and Blu-Ray if you want to understand the difference between the formats. The reason that DVDSP included HD DVD was that its format was similar to SD DVD's. Blu-Ray is something else entirely.
