Why is Apple selling Malware in the app store

I downloaded an app from MacUpdate , thankfully did not then go on to buy the whole thing, which I have since found out is pretty much useless as there are better things for a lot less money if not free out there.
It was when I started to have real problems with my computer that I came to discussions only to find this particular piece of software is MALWARE and apparently in the Apple apps store to boot!
How do I go about getting this dirty piece of work removed from the store.
It was also not easy to clean off my MAcbookpro running 10.6.8 as it hid bits all over the place, unlike ordinary AMc software I was unable to drag it to the trash to delete it.
I had to go into my library and other places to find the little bits left behind once I had cleared my library
I will not name it on here unless I am able to do so legally.
So I would like some advice on this please.
MacDefender was a similar piece of work thankfully I stayed clear of that.
This one also purports to clean our system and looked legitimate but from a source that helped me uninstall it the reviews on its site are fakes.

It is embarrassing that as a seasoned Mac user I got drawn in by this So how do we warn new users to keep very clear of this malware.

First on a computer try editing your ID to change the payment method to None.

When is apple going to update the App Store so it works with ios6......?? Yes I am joking I know it's been updated I'm just so fed up with it not working and apples lack of help. So to my point my app store will not load anything at all just stays blank and if I'm lucky it even crashes for me and every now and then it installs 2 or 3 of the same app with out warning it's installed a game 3 times that takes 1gb each time. Idk if anyone can help cool if not I'm going to get a ice-cream sandwich.

What kind of network connection are you using? Is it cellular data or WiFi? If WiFi, is it your own? I have seen some business WiFi configuration that block network access to some sites. This can confuse the apps.
I would also try one of the other apps, like iBooks, that uses the store. That would help isolate the problem.

Why are there no emulators in the App Store?Store?

I've tried to look for emulators to play vintage games on my iPhone 5s but have only found one way because the App Store will not support a rom emulator. I tried this one location but found it's only possible through adobe flash player, which coincidentally is not supported by Apple anymore either. What's the deal here?

Why must I log on to the app store to get an update to iLife?

I paid for the software. Why can't I just download it through Software update like I do on the Mac that came with the same software? What a pain in the butt!
I won't buy anything from the App store ever again. If I can't get a disc at my local Mac supplier, I won't buy it.

There's a difference between purchasing components of the iLife suite of software and purchasing them separately via the Mac App Store.
Whatever you download from the MAS... that's where the updates will be available.
You had to have agreed to the MAS terms of use before making purchases. Very important to read beforehand.

I have 2 Apple ID's but the app store will not let me update iPhoto with either

I have a MacBook pro 2011. For some reason i have ended up with 2 Apple ID's i must have forgotten something or i changed my account name from when i first set up the machine. Some apps allow me to upgrade with one but not the other. I have upgraded to Yosemite via a clean install at the Apple store. I have loaded back on my back up but iPhoto isn't there and it has asked me to upgrade via the App store. Unfortunately neither Apple ID's will let me upgrade.
The Message on screen is:
Upgrade unavailable with this Apple ID
This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled
Do i head back to the Apple store and talk with them or is there something i can do at home?

I think you're confusing RAM memory with hard drive memory storage...the two aren't the same.
Although you're being told you need 2GB of RAM to run Mountain Lion....I would consider 4GB the minimum. You should be able to upgrade the RAM in your iMac to 4GB for well under $100.

I have an early 2008 Macbook Pro that I had purchased the Snow Leopard for through the app store. I just paid the 20.00 bucks and downloaded it without any issues. I have now given the computer to my brother and in order to have all of my stuff erased and it set up under his apple id and such I had to reboot the system using the startup discs that came with the computer originally. No issues there, I was able to do it but I want to upgrade it now to Yosemite but of course it has to be an OS X system no later than 10.6.8 which is Snow Leopard. I understand that I have to pay for it again and that is not an issue BUT now I have to order it and wait for it to come as is appears to not be available on the Apple app store anymore.... does anyone know if I am missing something? Its saying that it wont arrive until Jan 5 and I was hoping to have all of this done before Christmas so I am super bummed....

You needed Snow Leopard to get to anything higher. So, yes, that disc must be bouncing in a drawer somewhere.
If you can't find the SL disc, you could try to download the installer for whatever you did buy online for $20 (Lion? ML?) on your new Mac, then use that installer to upgrade the old Mac. I don't know whether that procedure will work--you may still need SL on the old Mac to upgrade to something higher--but it's worth a shot.
First, on the new Mac, go to the App Store and check your Purchases. See if you can find a link for the previously purchased Lion or ML. But because the purchase may be tied to the serial number or some other unique machine identifier of the old Mac, perhaps you won't find the old purchase. (I don't know. I haven't been down this road.) However, if the purchases are tied instead to your Apple ID, then you might reasonably expect to see these old purchases in the App Store on the new machine. If so, follow the instructions that you find on the net (for instance, http://osxdaily.com/2013/11/01/re-download-os-x-mavericks-installer-mac-app-stor e/ or http://osxdaily.com/2014/02/24/re-download-older-os-x-version-from-mac-app-store /) for downloading but not installing the Lion/ML installer on the new machine and then transferring that installer to the old machine.

When I try to Sign In into the App Store, it always says that my Apple ID has never been used in the App Store before and that I have to review my information. When I click Review it leads me to create ANOTHER Apple ID! What should I do?

Search the Web for the phrase "My Apple ID." The top hit should be an Apple web page with that title. I'm not posting a direct link because such links are never to be trusted. Sign in and verify the ID.
