Why is CC refusing to open my projects ?

Yesterday everything was fine . Today nothing works. Why? When I try to open my projects that I have been working day and night with for two weeks, I get this message : "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type. " I understand that this has to do with validation. Well, I have paid and updated my Creative Cloud for almost a year now, and this has never been a problem before. Yesterday ,I sent a rather irate message to Adobe. I wasn't aware that Encore is no longer supported, and that Dynamic Link no longer works in connectiing Encore with CC. When I try to open my projects in CC in Cs6, I get error message. You cannot open CC projects in Cs6. What am I supposed to do ? Is Adobe trying to block me out ?

If you are trying to open your CC projects in CS6 , It will not open as backward compatibility is not there.
Whereas If you are trying to open the CC project in CC and you are getting the error "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type. "
Then Just signout from Premier pro
For sign out from premier pro Click on Help->Signout
and also Sign out from Creative Cloud App
From sign out from creative Cloud App
Open Cretive cloud App
On the right side top click on setting Icon
Under setting click on prefrences
Under Prefrences there is Genral Tab
Under Genral Tab there are 2 sub Tabs ,Genral and Accounts
Click on Accounts and Click on Signout
Signin Back in creative cloud and launch premier pro project everything should work fine.

FCP refuses to open particular projects

Hello everyone
My problem basically is that FCP suddenly refuses to open projects that were able to a few days ago. It seems that it is selecting the ones it wants to open rather than ones I want open. All were edited in FCP6.02
I tried doing a clean install (upgrade) from FCP 3 to FCP 6.02 and the problem still exists. Two projects still won't open. When I re start I get a FCP message stating "Something has happened"
Can anyone help?

Sounds like something's pretty weird if you can't find the autosave versions. Do a spotlight search for your fcp project name and see if perhaps they're hiding someplace.
But here's another idea. Often, when a project won't load, the problem is a corrupt piece of media. First and easiest thing to do is to delete all your renders. You will have to rerender but that shouldn't be too big a problem. If that doesn't help, try taking all your media offline. Hopefully all your media is on an external drive, so simply disconnect the drive from the computer before trying to launch fcp. If your project will load, do a save as for the project and shot down, reconnect the drive, launch the saved as project and gradually reconnect the media til you find the problem.

I recently bought a new (intel) iMac with iMovie 09 to replace our old (PowerPC) iMac G5. I had created several movie projects in iMovie on the old iMac, but these are apparently unreadable on the new one. I presume this may have something to do with the switch to intel - but is there any way I can import the files?
The files contain slideshows of still photos with music and some video mixed in - and I'd like to update them with newer material, so importing the entire file as a quicktime movie or something like that would not really help...

Perhaps - but how? I cannot open project from 08, have read many forum posts from others with the same goal ...that have been unable to import/open previous projects. Please share some tips (or secrets!) that can help.

Why can't I edit/open my project in iMovie?

I was editing a video (that I had already edited down to 8 minute in length) and decided to change the speed of one of my clips. After doing this, the little scrolly thing that moves as you move it across the clips (I don't know what that's called. The mouse, I guess!) didn't show up. So I quit iMovie, opened it back up again, and the project is no longer able to be edited or even opened, unless I change the name of it.
I have no idea what's wrong or how to fix it, and I really don't want to start over on editing the originally 1 hour+ long video. Can someone help?

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your ZTE Open C device updates. I experienced this same issue in a ZTE Open C device in the past.

Shouldn't really be the MPE at fault here ... what is the codec of the footage/sequence/project?
Second, can you create a new project in PrPro, then in the media browser, import that sequence from the other project?

I had Firefix, however I downloaded the newest Firefox along with all plugins. Now when I click in the desktop icon firefox refuses to open my default webpage. Why?

I can go to internet explorer or AOL and it opens right up to my homepage but not when I click on Firefox.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

Why can't I open my project in Prem. Elements 10?

Why can't I open any project in Prem. Elements 10? Message says Windows must close the program because of "a problem," and will notify if a solution can be identified. I reinstalled the Premiere Elements 10 portion of the (bundled) program but never installed Photoshop Elements 10, and am currently continuing to run PS Elements 8. This has worked in the past, so I don't understand what the problem is. I am running Windows 7, 64-bit. Thanks!

Am I correct in reading that you have never been able to open your Premiere Elements 10 running on Windows 7 64 bit? If so, we can rule out problems with the source media and damaged projects and concentrate on the installation and system requirements.
You write that you have attempted uninstall reinstall of Premiere Elements 10. Is that correct?.
Adobe also has a Tech Note directed at troubleshooting Premiere Elements installation issues, including how to install if your installation disc might be damaged.

Final cut pro x refuses to open projects/events from external hard drive

I have a Lacie Rugged 1TB USB3.0 hard drive which is paritioned. Previously I was a lways able to open and edit projects from the drive but now it refuses to open it.
When I initially open Final Cut, it says 'reading .....' and it reads the projects and events as usual(from the hard drive) and then it opens the window, and for about 5 seconds all my events are open and listed, but then I just dissapears and it only reads from the internal hard drive. I have tried everything from restarting but I have not reintstalled the program.

I shared a project to iTunes and reopened it in iMovie without a problem. The yellow exclamation sign shows, but I am able to update the project - almost. I encountered a new situation. I installed elements 12 and premiere 12 DVD on the 17/9/2014 in windows. I registered serial number's DOB and password with ADOBE. It was installed successfully.I opened elements 12 today and edited and saved a file -no problem. This evening when I opened elements 12 the organiser opened, I tried to open the editor but all I got was a request for my I.D. I posted above information,but it still will not open. I am pulling my hair out. I would appreciate any help from you please. I get the impression that ADOBE don't want to know when you have a problem with their products.

Automatically save every minute(s) = 1
Maximum Project Versions = 5
In the Adobe Premiere Elements AutoSave Folder were:
My new video project-1.prel (first and the oldest)
My new video project-2.prel
My new video project-3.prel
My new video project-4.prel
My new video project-5.prel (last and the newest)
I am OK with the first 5 with the maximum project versions = 5, but.....
Since I have set for only 5 versions, where do the subsequent versions go every 1 minute since you continue to
see only the above file names in the Adobe Premiere Elements AutoSave Folder.
My new video project-1.prel
is now the 6th AutoSave and replaces the original first AutoSave.
My new video project-2 prel
is now the 7th AutoSave and replaces the original second Auto Save.
Since I did 7 AutoSaves, this is the last and the newest.
My new video project-3.prel is still the original third AutoSave.
My new video project-4.prel is still the original fourth AutoSave.
My new video project-5.prel is still the original fifth AutoSave.
So, after the generation of the 10 th AutoSave, all the original 5 AutoSave would be gone,
and the My new video project-5.prel would then again become the last and the newest)
As for the question about

Yes, but review the Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks for the locations of the scratch disc. If same as
project, then those scratch disc will end up in the folder with the AutoSave which has become your project.prel.
A battery failure was at the core of this situation. So you should be OK moving forward.

Why can't I open items in iDVD sub menu & Open Existing project lists?

Recently I installed *Jam Pack-Music of the World*. Since then, my iMac experienced one Kernal Panic while I was using iMovie. Later I tried to burn the movie I had been working on, iDVD got stuck at audio encoding and then quit unexpectedly a while later. When I tried to +'Open Existing project'+ in iDVD, I noticed the list of files in the *Movie folder* of the iDVD dialogue window are shaded grey and could not be opened. (They could however be opened from the *Documents foder* where they are shown as .dvdproject files.) Additionally it became clear that about 40-50 GB of storage space on the hard drive had been lost. I have also noticed that the items listed in the *iDVD sub menu* (tool bar) are also grey and cannot be opened - although if I first open a project from the documents folder these items then show black and can be opened. I've had my iMac for 18 months and had no real problems till now. I'm new to computing and at a loss as to what's happened and how to rectify it.

I don't purport to be an expert, but since you have not gotten a response as yet, I'll give you my comment.
If you got a Kernal Panic, your computer is in need of some maintenance. The following recipe is from one of the gurus on the iMovie formum in a different context. " Restart from your install disk (by holding down the C key as you restart), and go to Disk Utility, then repair the hard disk. Restart as normal and then repair permissions from the same utility."
Make sure that you have enough free space on your hard drive for these programs to work -- at least 15GB and better 25GB.
You could also try uninstalling Jam Pack-Music of the World, and see if that clears up the problem.
