Why is DW lagging (for 2-3 seconds at a time) when all I am doing is scrolling in code view?

Sorry, but this discussion title is slightly misleading. The lagging happens at nearly every point of interaction with the DW UI.
If I mouse over a button, the pinwheel pops up. If I select a new palette, the pinwheel pops up. If I drop the cursor into a different line of code, the cursor pops up. This happens in docs with external js and it happens in docs that had nothing (no css, no js, etc.) in the head tag.
I'm on a 2009 MBP, 2.8 Core 2 Duo, w/8GB RAM and the startup / apps are installed on an internal 160GB SSD.
Also, the lagging was not a problem 14-16 months ago, when I installed the SSD. It's a relatively new problem. I can't pinpoint exactly when, because I've been working on a desktop station primarily—for the past 9-10 months.

This is the html and the css... (I commented out the other media queries) of a simple test page I made. Same issues apply.

It was a little feature called "Right Zoom" that was causing the issue. It maximises windows fully when you click on the green button (because Apple only maximises a window to the full width needed for that window, not to the whole screen).
I trashed it, and now Illustrator is working properly.

Airport Extreme drops connection for a few seconds at a time

My airport extreme seems to drop its connection for about 5 seconds at a time and then is back up. It does it every 10-15 minutes or so. I am not really sure why it is doing this because it has just started happening recently and worked fine for months and months. I need help because I dont know much about networking.

When you inserted your AirPort Extreme (It was an AirPort Extreme card, right?) card in your G5, did you attach the antenna cable AND the external "T" antenna?

You Tube videos play for 2-3 seconds. I have tried all the fixes listed on this site.

You tube videos were playing well and then started to load slow and play video for 2-3 seconds at a time. We updated Adobe Flash player and Internet explored to version 11 and tried all the listed fixes but nothing is fixing the problem.

I probably "over-read" the Apple website hype about the advantages of creating a single personal Apple I.D. which would apply to practically all things Apple. To quote: "An Apple ID lets you personalize your Apple experience. Once you've created an Apple ID, you'll use it to access Apple resources where it's helpful to identify yourself. From Apple Discussions to iTunes to the Apple Online Store and everything in between, Apple ID is your passport to the extended Apple experience."
Hence, I created an "Apple ID," following the example "[email protected]" (Who wants to miss out on a "passport to the extended Apple experience.") However, I already had an ID (though it was not my Apple address), and apparently was already the benefactor of the benefits of the so-called "personal Apple ID." Consequently, I now have two different iTunes IDs and two different passwords. Apple has responded to my requests to have a single ID by saying that my request is for the impossible. I simply have to remember both IDs and both passwords, entering both when attempting to use different computers and devices while downloading and taking inventory of my iTunes files.
So I'm pretty sure I've followed your suggestions already with respect to all 3 "eligible" devices, but I'll certainly give it another go-round. From what you say, it appears that being "associated" with the cloud should not limit me only to an iPod Touch 4th generation.

Macbook Pro Retina blacks out for a few seconds at a time

I have a new (2-3 weeks) Macbook Pro 13" retina display. A few times since I've had it, the screen went black for about 10 seconds and then came back. Any idea what's up with this? Is this something to return the machine for, or is a software issue? Has anyone else had this happen?

You are still under warranty. Call Apple Care. Make sure you get a case number as all repairs have an additional 90 days of warranty.
#1 - You have 14 days from the date of purchase to return your computer with no questions asked.
#2 - You have 90 days of FREE phone tech support.
#3 - You have the standard one year Apple warranty.
#4 - If you've purchased an AppleCare Protection Plan, your warranty last for 3 years. You can obtain AppleCare anytime up to the first year of the purchase of your computer.
Take FULL advantage of your warranty. Posting on a message board should be done as a last resort and if you are out of warranty or Apple Care has expired.

When on call, people hear me in-and-out for like 3 seconds at a time.....

Has anyone experienced a problem where you're making a phone call and the person at the other end can hear you only for like 3 seconds -- dead silence for 10 seconds -- and can hear you for another 3 seconds? I've just started to have this problem and I purchased this about 2-3 weeks ago.

Did you get a new case for your phone, it sounds like the phone isn't turning the screen off and your face is hitting the hold button... Many cheap or bad designed cases cover up the face proximity sensor above the ear speaker...

Macbook Air only connects to the internet for a few seconds at a time.

My 2013 Macbook Air (10.8.5) will only connect to the internet for a few seconds. It recognizes the wifi, but will just timeout when trying to access a website. If I turn Wifi off and then back on, it will work for another few seconds, only for the same issue to come up. I've tried EVERY SINGLE troubleshooting tip I could find and nothing works. I've renewed DCHP, rebooted my Mac, rebooted the router, network diagnostics, everything. I've scanned with Sophos multiple times and nothing has been detected. My 2007 MacBook Pro works just fine on the network as well as my roommates Macbook and my Apple TV. I have no clue how to fix it and am praying someone knows what to do. Please help!

Start by getting rid of "Sophos," which is worse than useless.
Remove the Sophos product by following the instructions on this page, and also this one, if applicable. If you have a different version, the procedure may be different.
Back up all data before making any changes.

Ive tried to update and sync my ipod touch and its froze, itunes wont recognise it and when it turns for a few seconds on my apps have all gone?

i cant get my ipod to turn on - i tried to update it and it froze with an apple and loading bar on the screen. it finally asked me to plug it in to itunes which i have but then it wont recognise it and when it does it tries to restore it. itunes says it has been restored and needs to be synced but then it disappears and cant be found by itunes again. the ipod itself turns on for a few seconds but all of my apps have gone?! then all goes black and i have to start all over again. please help xxx

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Only in iTunes when I click next song or close iTunes mid song the sound jitters for a split second. That is when I actively click on a functional button. This does not happen when I let the song end and flow into another song. Any ideas?

I have disabled sound check, crossfade and in quicktime settings in control panel audio is set to 16 bit.
The jitter/stutter is like a blip. If i press next track it will cut the sound from the previous track momentarily then resume from where I stopped it for a split second before proceeeding to the next track.

Outlook provides the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl + < (Last item) and Ctrl + > (Next item) to view the message after we open the email item.

Why is Expose lagging for Snow Leopard only in my account, not in guest account? How do i solve it?

I installed an itunes update and somehow my 'expose' starts to lag, not being as smooth as before. I don't know how this can be linked to me updating itunes but somehow i think it is. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Expose requires a lot of system resources and it is posible that you may have a program or programs on your account that are running in the background using a lot of these resources. If you open Activity Monitor and look at the tabs on the bottom and if you click on CPU and Memory and notice that FREE does not have a lot of space than that might be the issue and if you look above that on the charts you may see some apps that are using a lot of these resources and you may wish to close them.

Lion, Spinning Ball for a few seconds at a time

Macbook Pro, Lion, 8Gig. I have frequent encounters with the spinning ball. Everything stops, the ball comes on, stays for several seconds, then back to life. During the episodes Safari, for example, is completely unresponsive. During the episodes, I can click on another application and switch to it.
This mac has been through several generations of OS X, and several different physical machines, using Migration Assistant at each shift.
Any help gratefully received!
