Why is EVERYTHING I put in the SORT & FILTER window of this forum resulting in "INVALID TAG" error windows?

No matter what I put in, whether the version, my OS, or the problem, nothing I put in the sort & filter window will actually sort & filter the messages! I do not really wish to go through each one to find those relevant to my issue, computer, & version I'm running! Also, why is there no way to look up the questions I've asked, to see if there have been any responses?

The sort and filter is used to filter be specific, pre-set tags. For example, all Mac 10.6 tags are, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions?tagged=mac-os-x-106. You can't put whatever you want in that field, that's what the search is for.

I’m wondering why there is no feature that allows attaching files from our hard drives! It is not practical to upload our file first in a certain web to provide it as a link in the post.
Is there a way to attach our files directly from our hard drive to the post?
Please, have a look on the screenshot below that shows a forum which includes all the very basic features!

Just a guess on my part, but I would suspect non-image files in this case.
As Ted points out, that WAS possible early on, and then the capbility to attach non-image files, was actually retained by a certain few forums, though not for long. This change was coincidental with a major spam attack, and at least one disgruntled user attempting to attach some rather nasty "stuff." I do ot know if those events prompted the change, as I was not part of the decision making group, that initiated the change.
Though 95% of the files that I wish to attach, ARE image files, there are times, where a TXT file would be ideal, say for a crash log, or similar. Now, I can convert that TXT to a PNG, but then one has to work with pixel x pixel dimensions, and some files, like those crash logs, can be rather long.
Personally, I find the loss of the Attach File (was via a button at the bottom-left of the editing screen) to be a sad comment on the actions of some, on these forums, but then that just reflects life outside of the forums.

PS - I am glad that you found that little article useful Especially in the PS, PrPro, PrE and Encore forums, screen-caps can tell so very much about what is going on with a person's program, system or their Projects/Images.

How do we stop the flame wars that diminish this forum?

Some Internet venues have moderators whose job it is to monitor and remove defamatory content or content inappropriate to the subject.
Wikipedia, for example, lets anyone update their content, but vandals are cleaned up after and locked out.
The OTN database forums seem to have gotten several flame wars lately that do not contribute to the dissemination of information or knowledge germane the forum.
Does/should OTN forums have moderators who perform this housekeeping chore?

Surely, when someone clicks the little yellow triangle next to a post, your application code is smart enough to make a note of the unique ID of the post being complained about?
I don't quite see why any particular "combing" effort is needed. Someone complains about post ID 3746238746283. You read the words of that post. If you think they violate the terms & conditions, you delete post 3746238746283. Job done. The whole point was that you shouldn't be "combing through" threads at all, on the lookout for abuse that someone might have overlooked in their rush to complain, but simply responding to specific complaints about specific posts. And if you get fed up at a thread generating a whole lot of complaints, you simply lock the thread from any further additions.
Incidentally, I don't recall seeing in the terms and conditions that "posts have to be on-topic", only that they must not defame, harass or annoy or be a form of advertising, or a solicitation to join a commercial online or offline service. So why did you lock a perfectly civil thread in which no-one was being annoyed, defamed, harassed, solicited or advertised to about the legalities of libel in this forum? Suddenly, you appear to have made "extra-curricular-ness" a test all on its own. Unfair, I'd have said. Indeed, a year ago you were writing that "one person's nourishment is another person's poison" and that you were very much "in the "nourishment" category", firmly of the opinion "the beauty of a blog is that it can be a vehicle for creative self-expression, in which the reader learns something about the writer - not just dry facts." What is sauce for a blog, I'd have said, ought to be sauce for a forum.

The trial is always extended. The serial number you enter determines whether it runs as standard or extended.
I'm getting through fine with that link, so it must be a browser issue or some such thing. Try another browser.

I have the same issue. This is a single-purpose physical mailbox server with 320 users and 72GB of RAM. That should be plenty. I've checked and there are no manual settings for the database cache. There are no other problems with
the server, nothing reported in the logs, except for the aforementioned error (see below).
The server is sluggish. A reboot will clear up the problem temporarily. The only processes using any significant amount of memory are store.exe (using 53GB), regsvc (using 5) and W3 and Monitoringhost.exe using 1 GB each. Does anyone have
any ideas on this?

We had this event log entry as well which SCOM picked up on, and 10 seconds before it the Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange updated all of its engines.
We are running Exchange 2010 SP2 RU3 with no file system antivirus (the boxes are restricted and have UAC turned on as mitigations). We are running the servers primarily as Hub Transport servers with 16GB of RAM, but they do have the mailbox role installed
for the sole purpose of serving as our public folder servers.
So we theroized the STORE process was just grabbing a ton of RAM, and occasionally it was told to dump the memory so the other processes could grab some - thus generating the alert. Up until last night we thought nothing of it, but ~25 seconds after the
cache flush to paging file, we got the following alert:

You will wait for the rest of your life. You need to fix it; no one else will. To turn off "Find my iPhone" and its associated Activation Lock you need the Apple ID and password that were used to turn it on. If you know the Apple ID you can contact Apple Account Security and have them reset the password (after you prove you are the rightful owner of that Apple ID). see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.
If you don't know the Apple ID the phone is permanently unusable.

Did you purchase this product direct from Apple online, in an Apple Store, or through a third-party authorized reseller? Or did you buy it from an original owner whose Applecare plan was supposed to be transitioned to a new owner, by them?
Do you have an original shipping carton the unit arrived in?
If the product was a retail 'open carton' purchase and no
back-track is possible, contact the reseller.
And if the computer had seen a major service with logic
board replaced, etc, it may have other issues with serial
number vs one they may have assigned it. Usually a
new logic board may have the SN flashed or if a unit
was determined to be a reman, a new # assigned. But
that would appear in System Profiler, if officially reman.
If you registered a product anywhere with Apple, it would show on a web page along with its serial numbers, going back several years, at this page after you log in there.

Once this has taken affect you should be able to install SQL without any issues.

This forum is irrelevant now.
There's an upcoming new Windows version, Windows 7.
Right now there's a Release Candidate for download. And even Creative, for the first time in years, is doing things well developing a Stable Beta driver for this OS.
Creative should create a new forum called 'Windows 7' on this board, or rename this 'Windows Vista' forum to 'Windows 7' to regroup all messages, problems and fixes regarding the Beta X-Fi Drivers and Windows 7. Even, other Creative Hardware like PMP or Webcam and the Windows 7 compatibility could be discussed here.
The goal should be have a complete final stable drivers for all X-Fi products, soundcards and other Hardware at Windows 7 official launch, like NVIDIA, ATI/AMD or other Hardware compaines.

You are having problems after SP2, I am not. One of us is doing something right. You may have an issue with something else going on in your system, like
An Nvidia chipset motherboard, poor chipset drivers for your IDE/Sata controllers, old drivers on your system in general, or old bios, or new bios not setup properly for your card. If you find this hard to believe, how is it that I have no problems with my X-FI Titanium or X-Fi PCI Fatality and you do
If you have an extra hard dri've lying around, you could install Vista, Sp and then your sound hardware. Test everything, see if it functions. Then install SP2, reinstall your X-FI 2.0 Dan K. driver/applications pack and then see what happnens. I think if you rule out all software but operating system, service pack, and then drivers, you will be good to go.
This sounds like a lot of trouble but at least you will have your final answer and rule out any offending applications that you may have installed on your system, since your last format and install.

Based on your answer, I guess and fear, that there exist no "user guide" for this Text Editor.
I will wait a little bit more to see whether I get more information/answers. If not, i will probably write a "Feature Request" to request that Adobe provides us or point us to a reasonable User-Guide for this Text Editor.

When I try to download even a free app, it is saying that the Apple ID has never been used in itunes and it is asking to review it. I posted a simple logical question that was/is well within any License Agreement and is common knowledge among any Apple Enthusiast, User, or Geek like myself.
The question asked about installation of the much needed and highly anticipated updates to Aperture 1.0 on a current test version of Tiger. Anybody can read online at any Apple Enthusiast Site as is common knowledge that an update to Tiger is imminent and forthcoming.
I made no reference to the update nor gave any information regarding such. More importantly I kept every written and/or oral license agreement with Apple, I didn't violate any forum rules and the question was STILL removed without explanation!
With that being said why was my question removed when it only dealt with an installation issue I couldn't resolve on my own. I clearly stated that I was posting the question as a last resort since I normally don't need any type of hardware or software support.
Not that I am perfect but I am blessed with enough knowledge to resolve my own issues. Posting a question was/is a first for me and I clearly made that known.
I would appreciate a quick resolution to my inquiry because I need help and I need to get this project done immediately. I thought that's what these forums were for. You (the Hosts) are preventing any help that some kind and considerate person/people would have and already had begun to post in response to my original question.

William, I just wanted to let you know that I finally was able to install all the Aperture Updates on the test version of Tiger.
I had to manually uninstall Aperture, reinstall it, and then perform the updates in sequence before booting up Aperture for the first time. Aperture and each of the updates were installed incident and are performing flawlessly.
The best part of the install was being able to exclude the install of the sample files which ate up about 790MB. That alone was worth the frustration and the time consumed of trying to get these updates installed and running properly.
After an extended search I was able to locate one web site or forum that had these simple steps posted to help anyone experiencing trouble installing these updates.
So for the record for anybody experiencing problems installing Aperture Updates here is an easy solution;
Make sure OS X is up to date - have the latest version of Tiger (10.4.6 as one of the requirements for installing Aperture), and that you meet the hardware requirements.
1.) Uninstall Aperture, use spotlight to search your hard drive for all the Aperture files then move them to the trash.
2.) Reboot your system
3.) Install Aperture, if you like you can choose to exclude the sample project, if your not going to use this sample you can save 790MB on your hard by omitting during the installation process. DO NOT OPEN APERTURE UNTIL ALL THE UPDATES ARE FULLY INSTALLED. Eject the Installation Disk.
4.) Mount the Disk Image of the 1.0.1 Update and install the package on your hard drive. Eject the disk image after successfully installing it.
5.) Mount the Disk Image of the 1.1 Update and install the package on your hard drive. Eject the disk image after successfully installing it.
6.) Mount the Disk Image of the 1.1.1 Update and install the package on your hard drive. Eject the disk image after successfully installing it
7.) Reboot your system
8.) Open Aperture, register! and away you go!

Need password reset for HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP the same as others on this forum.

I have the same M1536dnf password problem here, I can't access the settings.
I can't activate the duplex mode without it.
