WHY IS IT THAT ADOBE OFFERS POOR ASSISTANCE ON OLDER PRODUCTS?
I have Dreamweaver CS3 which I upgraded from an earlier version. The other day my computer crashed and after I have rebuilt and reloaded all the othe programs I have, it's only dreamweaver I cannot reload, nor can I get any help from Adobe. Apparently something happened in the configeration so I am held up and frustrated because their is no clear method for me to get help from Adobe.
That will be a big mistake Adobe, I go somewhere else and make sure many will know of poor service.

The drive was not wiped just certain sections, then we reloaded the
operating system and reloaded all the programs. Drteamweaver is the only
system that has given me a problem. That is why I went back to them for
support. We are using Dreamweaver CS3.

The largest issue which is preventing you from utilizing Creative Suite 2 on your current computer is the switch which was made from PowerPC processors to Intel processors. This coupled with Apple dropping Rosetta support, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosetta_(software), which previously allowed Intel processors to utilize applications coded for PowerPC processors is the main cause of Creative Suite 2 no longer functioning under newer operating systems. -

which proclaims to be a (broken) Active X component of "GetPlus",
I am totally unable to remove it from my machine.
Just why I should be afflicted by this digital dogmess I don't know since I never knowingly downloaded GetPlus.

As you can probably gather from the distinct air of dis-illusionment in my initial post, I'm getting to the end of my tether with this problem and not too impressed with Adobe and their staff!
My apologies for not advising the basics,
I'm running Vista Ultimate SP2, and Internet Explorer Version 8.0.6001.18943 no other browsers installed.
Following your link, informs me that "Flash version 10,1,82,76 is installed".
The file I'm trying to eradicate only seems to exist in "Windows>Downloaded Program Files".
Right clicking the file only gives the context menu "Properties" which proclaims this file to be zero bytes and "damaged",
On the general tab of the Properties window there is a link under "Code Base" -http://platformdl.adobe.com/NOS/getPlusPlus/1.6/gp.cab,
But in their wisdom Adobe have omitted to give any explanation as to where this link will take me, what the file is that immediately requests that it is downloaded, or what to do with the blessed thing once it's sat on my desktop.
It's a ".cab" file by the way....I haven't dared to open it for fear of what might jump out!!!
I digress, ...the only other method of removing this file seems to be to highlight it (in Downloaded Program Files) and select either "Remove Program File", or plain old-fashioned "Delete" from the "File" tab....both commands are ignored!
Ah, I hear you say, go to "Programs and Features"......would that it were so simple, there is no mention of "GetPlus" in the list, nor any others that might at some stretch of the imagination be somehow tenuously connected thereto.
I think I've just about covered all avenues explored so far...I just hope you can shed some light!

I heard that Adobe offers a free cloud where I can make files that I did available for download. This download is done through Adobe Content Viewer, however I do not know how to create an account to access this cloud. I ask for help.

True, PSB is the only format will take it to those limits, iirc. I didn't think he was anywhere near it. I wonder how portable it is? Do programs outside of Photoshop read it? I'm thinking if you needed it printed professionally.
What amount of ram should you have for a 10 GB psb? What is the recommended scratch space?

One thing about PSB is Mac/PC thumbnails. Since Apple is not rendering them yet. Quicklook does that. Ardfrey codec for Windows when you need it at the desktop level. -
Why is it that when I am trying to install an adobe product, I get 33% of the way through and then it gives me an error "unable to load metafile"?? It happened with Reader and now with Flash player. With the Reader, I was able to find a different installation link using the troubleshooting guide. I cannot find the same with flash player. Why is it that the new Macbook Pro processor upgrade option only offers up to 2.8 Ghz boosting to 3.3 Ghz with Intel Dual Core i7, when back in Sep 12 I bought a 2.9 Ghz boosting to 3.6 Ghz Intel Dual Core i7 Macbook, is the new one tuned somehow to go much faster anyway, or will the new one be slower in fact? Or does the solid state drive compensate for the lack of increased processor capacity?
The CPU's come from different Intel 'families'. The older ones are 'Ivy Bridge' and the newer ones are 'Haswell'. Numbers alone will not determine the efficiency of CPU.

The "Pin as app tab" produces tabs that do not persist across sessions. I have this problem on two installations (PC and laptop, both running Win7), and it's really annoying (since the Permatab Mod no longer works in Ff4). Can you offer any assistance?

Why can't Adobe add the feature of viewing focus points? This is an obvious, common sense feature that Adobe Engineers must understrand how to do, No?
I've seen this requested in several past Lightroom versions.
Is Adobe not addressing this basic feature for a reason?, I mean, even Aperture has this feature, it can't be that hard to add? Can it?
Maybe Adobe isn't reading the feature request?Honestly, I am hardly qualified to even guess - there are tons of bugs reported that would be easy to fix, but aren't, features that would be useful and easy enough to implement, but aren't. Things like focus points which seem like a no brainer but are never implemented - your guess is as good as mine..
But to be clear: focus points are different for different cameras, and are stored in proprietary metadata. - not impossible to get at, obviously, but requires some programming/maintenance..
Worth noting: Apple is shutting down their Aperture business. Yeah, they support focus points and all kinds of good stuff, but I guess Aperture isn't a real money-maker for them (lotsa maintenance work, but not a lot of revenue) - relatively small market.
Adobe has been working on Revel, and Lightroom Mobile.., instead of focus points (and bug fixes, and...) - my guess: that's where the money is, or where they think it is.

Per Adobe website, a download for Acrobat 9 for Mac is "not available." What alternative does Adobe offer to those who have bought and paid for Acrobat and now have computers without optical drive to install that previously purchased software? Buy a PC? Buy an external CD drive? Is the answer really "too bad"?
