Why the placement of repeating frame hide he record of other fields ?

Hello,
After creating a data group in Data Model, I place a repeating frame corresponding it the group created.
But In the presentation of the report, There is records in first line and after space, no records of other columns only data for the column grouped is seen. And too the reality number of pages has increased.
Why this fact is occured ?
How to avoid this ?

Try 2 select the repeating frame by selecting one of the fields in ur group layout then
e.g
F_BANK_NAME then select it's parent frame > will select the repeating and adjust it.

How often do you need to display it? It sounds like you might want to base a summary on that formula with a function of first or last. If it's a per page basis, it can be a page level summary. If it's at a higher level repeating frame, then you can create the summary at that level. I'd suggest taking a look at the online help for summaries using the first/last functions.

I am trying this. Take an object, move it some inches on the right while holding the option key, so I duplicate it.
Usually, I pressed on command+d to duplicate this action on and on (duplicate the object and moving it some inches away), but now it is not working.

It may be time for the list:
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you may find the folder here:

5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);

6) Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Why do I get repeating frames when exporting to QT MOV?

I have a Canon 7D and I'm shooting HD video files in 24p. I can import directly to the time
line in PE 7, but sometimes, when I export to a QT MOV file, the 3rd and 4th frame are exactly the same.
Original clips are fine, so it's something in the way PE 7 exports.
Strangely, I can have three clips on the time line, and two of the three will export fine, but one will show the duplicate frames!
I'm using the project setting of 1080i and timebase is 29.97 even though the camera is shooting at 23.97. Has anyone heard of this problem, and more importantly how to fix?

The Project Preset should match all aspects of your source footage. Having a disparity of 29.97 vs 23.97 will be problematic. Now, I am not sure what the options are for 24p footage in PrE 8.

am using import flv option to insert flvs, flv size vary from 11 MB to 20 MB. the delivery method is progressive download.
i have uploaded SWF and Flvs on Amazon, slide content is playing well but am facing A/V repeating problem in flvs, unfortunately its happening on strong bandwidth also - 2mbps, at any random time it occurs.
my client facing same problem and am really not able to locate it.

In Project window. Click on a video-clip and down left in this You see a coggwheel looking symbol.
Click on this and bottom of the unfolding menu select - Adjust Crop Ken-Burns
Now in viewer window click on top left most option (adjust) so that the full picture is shown.

Hide Duplicate records of Key Fields (SAP BEX 7)

Need Advice.
On BEX 7, I want to hide repeated/duplicate records in KF object(formula) for the output when being converted into spreadsheet.What i did was i just modify the query properties and uncheck the 'Hide Repeated Key Values' on Display Option. But the fields that were affected by this changes are those only on the characteristic field. Duplicate records on Key Fields are still visible. I can't find any other way on hiding those duplicate records. Below will show sample output:
Defect:
Plan Owner | Plan ID | Status | Plan Comment | Total Plan Count
A | ID001 | Active | Test A | 15
A | ID001 | Active | Test B | 15
A | ID001 | Active | Test C | 15
Modified:

Only records on the characteristic field were hidden.
the value 15 still exist for all 'ROWS' after exporting into spreadsheet.
Question: Is it "POSSIBLE" to hide as well those duplicate records on the KF?

Hi,
I also faced similar issue where i was getting duplicate keyfigures values usually it happens when you make a query on infoset or you do a lookup on another dso to get the value.
You may try with a code to delete adjacent duplicate records keeping a check on your characterstic.

Why the iTunes on my ipad3 freeze a lot while other features are functionning fine?

I tried to download free episodes from podcast and after I exited, I can not go back in to iTunes. The icons on the iTunes all freeze, I can not select any of them. If I click the music icon from the home page of the iPad, then iTunes move to stay ont the music, can not go to any other icons. I just bought the iPad yesterday and this is the second time it happened. The first time it happened, it was back to function after three hours. Can someone tell me what could go wrong? Thanks much

Multiple repeating frames with same source printing same Values

Dear all,
I have a report which is having more than 10 repating frames in this 4 repating frames have same source assingned,during the report execution just before printing the repeating frames at various levels am inserting records into the source table assignd to the 4 repating frames.i actually want the repeating frames to print values i just inserted in to the table,diffrent repeating frames should print diffrent values.
i have put source query like this;
select * from <table> where print_status is null.
just before printing the repeating frames am inserting values in to this table
insert into <table> values ();
print repeating frame 1
insert
print repeating frame 2
insert
print repeating frame 3
insert
print repeating frame 4
in this particular case the report is printing only one row which i have inserted before printing the repeating frame 1.(basically the query is not refreshing at various grups)
I want to print records which is inserted at each level .using one source query and 4 diffrent repeating frames.

Currently am modifying an existing report which is designed few years before, and having hell lot of frames and repeating frames and I need to include the above said portion between these repeating frames. The major reason why i tried to adopt this method is, during the execution of the report at each different intervals I am doing some calculation and then inserting the results into a global temporary table, again the same global temporary table am trying to print it in different places .Since I have multiple rows to print from this table I am using a repeating frame.
I have resolved this issue using packages and assigning values into packaged variables. But I had a gut feeling that declaring too much variables might confuse others especially some other developer.

Please suggest problem in increasing height repeating frames

in my report normally up to 100 are printed. i setted the vertical elasticity as expand and horizontal as fixed.
but while priting, in vertical, it is contracting if date is too short enough and expanding when dat is large enough. But what my requirement i want to specify the height of each field in repeating frame fixed. i.e. 3 centimeters and it should be same for all records printed on page and on each logical page and i want to print maximum 8 records per page becoz my print page size can hold maximum 8 records and each record at 4 lines. And even if the data is short enough it must not be contracted, if data is one line,and the remaining space that is in 3 cemtimers should be left blank and it must to go to second record. That is in fixed heigt of record repeart frame i want to print the data. If data goes more than 3 centimetres then date must be truncated. I did not find any height to set this property in Repeating frame property.
please suggest solution'

Hi Prasanth,
Enlarge the Repeating Frame height to say, 3 centimeters in the layout.
Set the Vertical (& Horizontal as well) Elasticity of the repeating Frame as Fixed.
In the Property Palette of Repeating Frame, set Maximum Records Per Page to 8 and Set Page Break after property to Yes.
This will solve ur problems.

Footer for a report with 2 repeating frames with down/across print directio

I have a report with a frame for title shown in first page. the content of the report is shown on two columns in a repeating frame(R2) which enclose an other repeating frame (R1). In R2, just after R1, I have a frame for totals. Both repeating frame have down/across print direction. All repeating frames and title frame are enclosed by a regular frame(let say frame A) that have vertical elasticity fixed. at the end of the report i must display an other frame(frame B) with signatures. I put frame B in frame A, just after R2. If I set vertical elasticity to fixed or contract for R2, when the title frame is missing i get an empty space in the bottom of the page(except the first page, where the title appear)(R2 is anchored to title frame). if I set vertical elasticity to variable for R2, the frame B is not shown on last page with records, but in next page. I need a solution to keep the frame B in last page of the report which have records. the problem appear only when I have records in second column.
Can somebody help me, please?

I think without using Across/Down instead of Down/Across this is not possible. But then the output is
1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8
If you need to have
1 3 5 7
2 4 6 8
then you had to add some logic in an additional column for sorting the output. (sounds easy, but the logic need some work depending the count of records and their position.

Multiple child tables and repeating frames

I have three tables(A,B,and C) where A is the parent of both B, and C. There is no relation between B and C.In the data model, There are three queries, one to each table and I have set up the parent/child relationship in the data diagram.
In the layout Window I have a master repeating frame which breaks on each record for A. And within that master frame I have two constrained repeating frames for both B and C in that order designed to print all on the same page.
The problem is that when there is more data for B, the extra records are not displayed .For overflow conditions, I would want A and C information to be reprinted along the top and bottom of each successive page while the middle section would contine on with the extra B records. (I realize this is similar to having header (A) and footer (B) information in the margin, but it is not quite the same thing since B and C depend on A's repeating frame.)

I'm assuming that all the rows of (C) can always fit onto the page and don't overflow to the next. If so then you'll need the following:
A Group frame "M_A" that completely surrounds (A) fields
A Group frame "M_B" that surrounds (B) and defines the space available for (B) to print
A Group frame "M_C" that surrounds (C)
Set the properties against each frame:
M_A:
Vertical Elasticity: "Variable"
Print Object On: "All Pages"
Base Printing On: "Enclosing Object"
M_B:
Vertical Elasticty: "Fixed"
(Re-size this frame in the layout to define the space available for (B))
M_C:
Vertical Elasticity: "Variable"
Print Object On: "All Pages"
Base Printing On: "Enclosing Object"
You should end up with:
A.....
B1....

Layout problem - multiple repeating frames

Hi, I have a layout problem, pls help!
Short report description:
- Repeating Frame1 - gives 1 record, contains all other frames, variable vertical elasticity
- - Frame2 - contains all frames beneath - variable vertical elasticity
- - - Frame3 - variable vertical elasticity
- - - - some boilerplates
- - - - Repeating Frame 2 - various number of records, fixed vertical elasticity, height 100
- - - - Repeating Frame 3 - various number of records, fixed vertical elasticity, height 30
- - - - .. other repeating frames ..
When reaching the bottom of a page, and there is not enough room to print a record for Repeating frame 2, a record from Repeating frame 3 is printed in the bottom.
Next page starts with the remaining records from Repeating frame 2.. and then the remaining records from Repeating frame 3.
For example:
Page 1:
Rep frame 2 - Record 1
Rep frame 2 - Record 2
Rep frame 2 - Record 3
Rep frame 3 - Record 1 -- not enough space to print Record 4, so this record is printed
Page 2:
Rep frame 2 - Record 4
Rep frame 2 - Record 5
Rep frame 3 - Record 2
How can i ensure that all records from Rep frame 2 is printed before records from Rep frame 3?

I tried to use anchors, but they had no effect when connecting top of 3 to bottom of 2, got the same layout.
I then tried to create frames with vertical elasticity expand around both rep frame 2 and rep frame 3, and it seems to do the job.

Summary Column and repeating frames

I have a report that shows customer orders(1 per page). If a customer orders 3 pizzas and 2 of them are identical, same size, same toppings, crust i want the quanitity column to sum as 2. So for this example instead of having 3 rows with two of them being identical with the quanity column dispalying 1 for each, I want 2 rows with quanity showing 2 for the identical pizzas and 1 for the other.
I have everything in the same group/repeating frame right now and it is showing all 3 pizzas on there own row. Do i need a summary column and change my groupings? How can i achieve this the summed quanity for identical orders?
CURRENT:
Crust......Toppings......size.....quantity
Thin.......Cheese........small....1
Thin.......Cheese........small....1
thick.......meat.........large....1
NEW:
Crust......Toppings......size.....quantity
Thin.......Cheese........small....2
thick.......meat.........large....1

Forget summary columns. This can easily be just a group by query:

Count Repeating Frames

What is the easiest way to count the number of repeating frames(records) that are returned when a report is generated? I want to be able to set items visible based on whether the frame count is even or odd.

Let me see if I understand your Q... I think what you want is this:
EmpNo..... EName...... Salary...... SerialNo.....
100....... King....... 1000........ 1
101....... Luther..... 1100........ 2
102....... Doe........ 3000........ 3
If this is what you want, then a function of Count will give you the desired results. It will return 1 for the first row, 2 for the 2nd row and 3 for the 3rd row. You just have to make sure that in the "Data Model", this summary column is placed in the same group as the other records (EmpNo etc), and not outside the group. Choose Reset At > Master_Group or Report (depending on your report design).
Pl let me know if what you want is different.
