Why we go for the partner concept

Hi All
Could you please tell me the purpose partner in oracle.
Thanks
Vivek

Partner concept is part of Oracle's TCA - Trading Community Architecture.
TCA is a structured way to capture information about all the entities that a business deals with - customers, suppliers, sites, contacts, organizations etc.
For more details, see excellent explanation in About TCA architecture

  • No INBOX Selection for the Partner

    Hi Experts,
    Could someone please tell me where we can configure a Vendor for "No INBOX Selection for the Partner".
    Is this at some transaction level or in the Shopping cart.
    We have this field in the table CRMD_PARTNER,  Field - DISABLED
    Due to this the Vendor gets dropped and the PO goes into HELD status.
    We have implemented the Preferred to FIxed Vendor and works perfectly, except for these partners with CRMD_PARTNER-DISABLED = 'X'.
    Thank you.

    thanks

  • PO Address for the Partner Order address.

    Hi,
    We have a problem with the address in the PO. We want to complete automatically the address from the partner Order address that has different address than the vendor.
    So Vendor Number 1000 address in Madrid has the Partner Order address 1001 with address in Barcelona. We want to complete the address in the PO with the partner Order address from Barcelona. However the system always gets the address for the vendor in Madrid.
    How can we do this process? The standard should be works like this. Otherwise we have to develop this procedure. But Are there any easy way by program to complete the address in the PO process or after that?
    Thank you and best regards.

    the address from the OA partner is taken for the print out, where and why do you want to maintain it in the PO?

  • Access sequence for the partner is optional?

    Hello Experts,
    Is the access sequence for determining the partners is optional? What if no access sequence is mentioned in the partner determination procedure for any of the partner functions? Is there any other way of determining the partners exists other than access sequence?
    Could you please clarify?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Swathi

    No, you must use access sequence. The only other way would be that you write your own function in which you prefill partners and trigger this function with event or if you write the same logic in on of the suitable badies.

  • Why two records for the same key???

    Hi,
    I'm finding that our database contains "duplicate" records even though it is set to disallow duplicated. In particular, from DbDump, here are two keys from our database:
    737201037870770c0001000000a6005a001471c678
    737201037870770c0001000000a6005a0014711678
    You can probably really think of them as
    737201037870770c 0001000000a6005a00147 1c678
    737201037870770c 0001000000a6005a00147 11678
    where only the middle part is "our key data". Use use Externalizable and have methods for the key:
    public void readExternal(ObjectInput in) throws IOException, ClassNotFoundException {
              short oldVersion = in.readShort();
              this.primaryKey = in.readInt();
              this.orderPurpose = in.readChar();
              this.foreignKey = in.readInt();
    public void writeExternal(ObjectOutput out) throws IOException {
    out.writeShort(externalizationVersion);
    out.writeInt(this.primaryKey);
    out.writeChar(this.orderPurpose);
    out.writeInt(this.foreignKey);
    public int compare(Object o1, Object o2) {
    byte[] b1 = (byte[]) o1;
    byte[] b2 = (byte[]) o2;
    final int compareLen = b1.length;
    for (int i=0; i<compareLen; i++) {
    if (b1[i] != b2) {
    return (b1[i] < b2[i] ? -1 : 1);
    return 0;
    My question is basically this: what are the trailing bytes for in the key and why do they differ in my case? BTW, we're using an old version, 2.0.90, and we recently switched to Java 6 from Java 5... (just in the interest of full disclosure!)
    Thanks very much in advance,
    Dan

    Yes, you're right. That hint really helped me find
    my problem !!Glad to hear that.
    I still don't know what the leading and trailing
    bytes are used for but at this point, it doesn't
    really matter anymore.They're output by Java serialization when JE calls ObjectOutputStream.writeObject, so they should be defined here:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/serialization/spec/protocol.html
    Thanks for your help,You're welcome,

  • Why no support for the Leica M9 in LR 2.6 RC?

    Hi - bemused that there's no support for the M9 in this release (especially as LR is bundled with the M9).  Even more confusing as the Standard Adobe calibration profile for the M9 that comes with the LR3 Beta is pretty good (beats the embedded profile that comes with the Leica DNGs) - and this can be added to the LR2.5 profile library with a bit of copying and pasting.
    I'd be grateful to hear from Adobe if there's any chance of a good M9 profile making it to the 2.6 final version.  Seems a shame to miss this opportunity.
    Thanks
    Chris Tribble

    Hello Chris,
    thanks for the nice feedback.
    For the moment, I will use LR for the fast preview of all images,
    cataloging etc., and RawDeveloper for the fine tuning, as often as the
    image permit it.
    (sorry for my english!)
    Lets hope that we will get through all that without loosing our
    perfectly nice temper !
    All the best to you,

    * the <tt>DB_INIT_LOCK</tt> is generally not useful on its own -- if you have general purpose locking, that means you have the possibility of deadlock, so you will also need transactions (<tt>DB_INIT_TXN</tt>) so that you can roll back. For simple applications, you probably want <tt>DB_INIT_CDB</tt> instead.
    * it looks as if this code is from a function that is called repeatedly. In that case, you should open the handles once, and reuse them for each call. If you open them each time you access the database, there is a huge unnecessary overhead. Also, if you open the handles, you need to close them with <tt>DB->close</tt>.
    Regards,
    Michael Cahill, Oracle Berkeley DB.Thanks for your reply
    1. If I use DB_INIT_CDB while open DB_ENV, DB_THREAD is needed at the same time both for DB_ENV and DB? or complexly, use DB_INIT_LOCK | DB_INIT_TXN flags, any other flags will should be used at the same time, say DB_INIT_MPOOL, DB_THREAD, DB_REGISTER | DB_RECOVER
    I am very confused about flags, if I have multiple writers and readers in multi-threaded program, what flags I should use?
    2. yes, that code is from a function, but handles is opened only once because its global variable, so its not a problem. I open db and db env while program starts up and close them while program exits.

  • Here's why Adobe closed for the week

    June 30, 2009
    Adobe is closed this week (and what that means)
    http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/2009/06/adobe_is_closed_this_week.html

    Could anyone object to getting four weeks' holiday in a country where that could seem generous? The problem is that Adobe's reasons for the shutdowns – its attempts to cope with the economic slowdown that has, in turn, reduced demand from its core customer base in the "creative knowledge worker business" – don't mean that it's easing up on staff.The office closures didn't mean that deadlines were pushed back by a week for those developing software. And for those preparing for a conference, such as the RSA conference in April, which came immediately after one of Adobe's one-week breaks, there was simply no let-up.
    People in the UK, of course, may have a better reason than any for pausing, as the – an increase that was announced earlier in June but that is still not documented on the company's UK website. That has pushed the disparity between the pricing of CS4 in the UK and US to 39.7%.
    Hmmmmmm.

  • IDoc type could not be determined for the IDoc

    I am trying to Post the payment run through the transaction F110.
    In the payment run log i get the following message:
    "IDoc type could not be determined for the IDoc"
    But in fact the IDoc is generated and it is displayed in We05.
    I have configured the Message type PAYEXT-PEXR2002 and EUPEXR-IDCREF01 both for the partner.
    Has anybody Idea about why this error is coming and how i can resolve this?
    This is important because in Payment run log, they need to know the IDoc number generated for that run, else it may become difficult for user to identify which IDoc was created for a particular payment run.
    Would appreciate if anyone can please help on the same.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    If you are paying the payment through F110, if the payment exceeds the limit what you are spefied in available amounts in FI12 screen. First Please check this screen.
    still if you are having any problem
    Check in the below path:
    IMG- Financial Accounting (New) - Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable - Business Transactions - Release for Payment - 1. Create Workflow Variant for Release for Payment
    2. Assign Release Approval Procedure for Release for Payment
    3. Define Users with Authorization to Payment Release

    Dear All,
    The below mentioned error is encountered by us in F110.We have check all the setiing  and not able to find the solution for this error.
    Now our heads has gone for a toss....can anyone kindly suggest what and where we have missed out.
    The system is not creating the IDOC file.....
    IDoc type could not be determined for the IDoc
    Message no. B1090
    Diagnosis
    The IDoc passed to the ALE layer could not be processed. The specifications passed in the control record were not correct.
    The basic IDoc type (field EDIDC-IDOCTP on the outbound side or EDI_DC-IDOCTYP on the inbound side)has not been specified for this IDoc.
    The attempt to read the basic IDoc type from table EDIDO also failed. No table entry was found for IDoc type  from field DOCTYP.
    Procedure
    Possible error sources:
    - The calling program did not provide values for the fields specified above correctly. Make a note of the transaction in which this error occurred and consult your ALE administrator.
    - The IDoc type  is not known in your system and must be maintained.
    Kindly do the needful.
    Regards

    If you want to create IDocs from the proposal run, outbound parameters (we20) with the 'Test' flag are required in addition.
    see OSS note 504230 : Message EUPEXR forms the logical unit around the individual payment messages (PAYEXT IDocs). The E1IDRD1 segments contain the IDoc numbers of the payment messages in field DOCNUM. Segment E1IDRS1 contains check sums (total of all amounts, account numbers, bank numbers, number of payment messages). This information is provided for the EDI subsystem. Set up EUPEXR In Transaction WE20 for the partner profile for the house bank, create the outbound parameters for message type EUPEXR with IDoc type IDCREF01. If you want to create IDocs from the proposal run, outbound parameters with the 'Test' flag are required in addition.
