Why won't iTunes save my customizations?

HELP! Every time I customize the info of my songs on iTunes, the next time I open up iTunes, all the edits I made change back. It is extremely annoying and it takes a while for me to fix all the things I want to fix.
My laptop died on me recently so I've switched to the family desktop. This iTunes memory swipe has never happened before to me and my sister who regularly used this computer before she got a laptop for Christmas told me iTunes never did this to her on this computer.
Is there a problem with my iTunes? Any way to save changes?

It's probably a Vista permissions problem.
Take _full control and ownership_ of your top-level music folder,and all its child/subfolders.
Having read & write permissions is often not enough for Vista.

There are temporary workarounds but tags will still revert after a time.

Why won't iTunes save my Album Artwork when I drag it to "Get Info"?

In previous versions of iTunes I could copy/paste or drag JPEG copies of album art into "Get Info" for that album. With the latest update that is no longer possible. Any suggestions?

.wav tracks don't have a tag, so you can't save artwork, or indeed other metadata to them. Use AIFF or Apple Lossless if you want the highest quality, but 256k or 320k mp3 may be just as good depending on the equipment you have and your own hearing.

Is it actually prompting you for a credit card, or just asking you to verify billing details? Due to recent security issues and identify theft (mostly due to phishing scams), the iTunes Store seems to be requiring more frequent verification of billing information, even if you have a balance from a prepaid card. Go into the Payment information in your account and set the payment method to "none", if it's not already, which should then stop the regular requirements for verification. It may still ask - mine did for a while - but you should just be able to click through the buttons without problems.
By all means, though, if you prefer eMusic, use that service.

Why won't iTunes 11.0.1 sync my Podcasts to my 3rd Gen iPod Touch on IOS 6.0.1? I'm running iTunes on my MacBook with Mac OSX 10.6.8. I've checked to make sure in iTunes that the Podcast Sync box is checked and it is. I've tried checking communities and tried several suggestions and nothing seems to work for me. Everything else syncs except Podcasts. I can't figure it out. Any suggestions to get Podcasts syncing to my iPod Touch again? Thanks!

One other step I've tried was removing and completely reinstalling the playlist to the iPod. That cleared up the problem for about two days.

I've solved it!
When you have saved the stationery, and opened a new email, make sure you have NO SIGNATURE.
If you have 'None' in the signature drop down list, then the template will display fine.
If you have a signature automatically added to emails, it interferes with the template being displayed and all you get is the signature.
So start with a blank email and no signature, before you select your custom-saved stationery.

Why won't itunes load on travelmate 290

I have an Acer Travelmate 290 and although I can download iTunes on it, it refuses to work properly.
I cannot sync to it and all the features are not present.
Can anyone help?

Click where it says 'Subscribe in iTunes'. When the page opens, click 'View in iTunes'. When iTunes opens and shows the Store page click 'Subscribe'.
If that doesn't answer it, you need to give more details as to what exactly you are doing.

I want to gift a couple songs to my boyfriend, but when i try to gift the songs it asks for my credit card information. i have over $100 in itunes store credit from gift cards. i want to use that money to purchase the songs i will be gifting. why won't itunes allow that? i looked up tutorials and gifting should be easy and all you submit is the other person's email but thats not happening for me.

Why won't iTunes Store adopt the Google approach of no questions asked refunds within 15 mins if you aren't happy with an app? I have countless apps that I have lost money purchasing because after installation they don't do what I want.
ITunes ripping the public off, one app at a time!

It either A) shows me a white screen where the store should be, B) shows me the white screen with iTunes Store written in the middle or C) actually shows me the store, but as though it can't read all the sophisticated coding and wants to convert it into just plain ol' HTML.
With those symptoms, I'd check through the following document:

This gets especially annoying because if I tell Itunes to store my "media" in my user/music folder, Itunes will then create a folder named "music" in my "music" folder and will also create additional folders in my user/music folder location to store other non-music media in as well. It is very annoying to see this lack of affinity for folders between two Apple created programs.
