Why Won't The AV Connection Work!!!!!

I've done everything you are supposed to do to see videos on my TV. I've put my iPod's TV out on. I connected the USB outlet power adapter to the dock. I connected the AV cable to my dock's line out. I matched the three colored plugs into the three colored ports on my TV. I pressed the "imput" or "video" button (depending on what type of remote you have) on my remote for my TV. Nothing happens. No sound or video. Just a blue screen. What can I be doing wrong. I feel pretty stupid. Please Help. Thanks

if you did not buy the apple av cables you need to switch the yellow and red around. if you did buy the av cable from apple then i would say go video settings then ware it says tv out on or off change it to ask. this way you know for sure it is set to tv out. also make sure it is set to NTSC.

Why won't my bluetooth connection work with the new sofware when it comes to my ITunes?

After I installed the software, my phone will connect to the bluetooth (so the phone and such work and the music) but I can no longer control my music from the radio and see the song that is up (scroll on screen). I have checked all the settings, but they are good. So it has to be the software.

There is an alternative downloader for 64-bit editions of Windows here:

Why won't the flash player work in the html loader in my air app

Air is very new to me. I am working on a desktop app that has an html loader in which can only go to
certain web pages. If the url contains any flash content on the page, the html loader will not show it. Why is this?
Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated..

Do I have to pay $299 for a DUNS number? Why won't the $49 version work?

I'm trying to register as a company to build a for-profit application and launch it in the iStore. It says I have to apply for a DUNS number which is fine, I understand about building business credit and establishing ourselves as a reputable entity. I called D and B and they said I HAD to sign up for the $299 plan to get the number and that the $49 version on their website was not good enough to get into the iStore.
Any ideas if this is true and why? (I've only heard it from the sales rep at D and B so I'm slightly skeptical) Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I was offered a free DUNS number but the process to getting it would take 30 days and I'm in a hurry, so I decided to go with the expedited service (around $120 USD) which takes 24 hours only. What I'm starting to question is whether a simple DUNS numer is enough for all countries or not, we know it is enough for US companies since they can update their company profiles themselves via D&B iUpdate service, but for us foreign companies there's no such thing and apparently a "D&B Full Profile Analysis" (around $200USD) is the way to go. I spoke this morning to the person in charge of processing DUNS number requests and she encouraged me to insist with Apple that my DUNS number is valid and that my profile is complete, and to also ask them to verify the information with their D&B executive(s), she said there are a lot of other companies here in Mexico having the same problem since January and that most have been able to fix it by asking Apple to double check the information with their D&B executive(s), she also mentioned that updating Apple's D&B plattform completely actually takes 2 months and not 14 days, that's why sometimes not all the data is there when we try to sign up and that's also why Apple needs to ask a D&B executive to double check the info in other databases/platforms/whatever they use to keep our data temporarily, anyway right now I'm waiting for an Apple senior advisor who is looking into the issue since last week, I'll keep this thread updated.

Why won't the Continue option work in my advanced action?

I'm in Captivate 7. I have a slide where the user clicks on a click box which executes an advanced action: to show an animation, then play an audio file (a beep) and then it should continue (go to the next slide). But it won't. The slide is set to be 4 seconds long, but pauses until the user clicks on the click box. The advanced action reads this way: Show Laserline; Play Beep; Continue.
In the preview mode, if I wait more than 4 seconds, when I click it just goes to the next slide without executing the action. If I click within the 4 seconds, it will play the advanced action but it won't advance to the next slide (unless I click on the clickbox again). I've tried changing the continue to Go To the Next Slide, but then it won't Show or Play. What am I missing?

I think you may be approaching this the wrong way.
If I understand you correctly, you were expecting that the series of actions you added into your Standard Action would be executed to allow the animation to complete first, THEN play the sound, THEN continue to the next slide. However, you don't mention how long your animation runs for. The standard action will indeed execute all actions one after the other, but they will likely be executed within milliseconds of each other. So this could mean that your animation may or may not have time to complete.
As proof, you yourself said that changing your Continue action to a Jump to Next Slide means that everything happens so quickly that it appears as if your action only jumps to the next slide and that's all.
If what you want is that clicking the object causes the animation to play AND complete playing, THEN a beep to occur, THEN progress to the next slide, all you need to do is lay these things out on the timeline. Place your animation to appear on the timeline and begin playing immediately after the pause point of the Click Box (i.e. the pause point is right at the end of the click box object's timeline). Then place another object on the timeline that will NOT be visible and add the beep to it as object audio. (Use a highlight box set to 100% transparency.) This should be right before the end of the slide timeline. After the beep has played, the slide should automatically continue to the next slide.

Why won't the new flash work, I get a blank screen?

I have a Mac, OSX 10.6.8, and downloaded the new Flash. My settings says: plug-in version 11.1.102.55 is installed. The challenge is - it does not work. I simply get a blank grey screen. I have followed all the directions. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled - several times. I don't know what else to do! Can anyone help?

What page are you visiting? Are you using Safari? As a test, can you try downloading Chrome and see if that allows you to see Flash content?

Why won't the music app work after the IOS 7.1 update?

Every time i try to listen to my music in the Apple Music app it opens then freezes. Sometimes it will let me open an artist but wont play the songs. I tried going into the settings to see if i could change anything but it wont let me open the music settings tab, the button just turns gray and freezes my phone. I've tried force quitting the app and re starting my phone and nothing has worked.

First, I recommend resetting your iPhone:
Reset

Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if videos etc play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. When done, restart Internet Explorer.

Why won't the send button work under messages?

I can receive message and type in the reply field but when impress the send button it won't send. How do I fix this???

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Why won't the home button work

I just dropped my iphone for the first time. It didn't have an otter box, just a thin plastic cover. It landed on it's screen but shows no screen damage whatsoever. Now I can't use the home button. I can listen to my music and play games just fine, but when it comes to getting back to the home screen with the home button it doesn't work. It makes the usual clicking sound, but nothing else. I got it to the home screen a couple of times by pushing the button with alot of force but I'm affraid that will damage it more. What should I do? Is it fixable? Do I have to take it to be repaired or can I fix it at home?

Sounds like you broke your phone. Bringt it and $149 to the Apple store for an out of warranty replacement.

Why won't the Tabs function work (Open new window in a new tab instead)??

My current problem is- - I'm running FF.32, and when I click on a link (in an email, article, webpage link... anything) it opens in the Current window... it doesn't open a new* window, or new tab (as selected)... it "closes" the current page and opens the clicked-on link or email... Unless* I right-click on it and Tell it to open in a new tab instead (but I have to right-click and tell it to do this). I don't think this is normal. What do I need to change..?

I think it is Firefox's default setting to open links in the current tab unless the site forces the link to open in a new window, or you explicitly open the link in a new tab/window.
You may need an extension like [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/ Tab Mix Plus] to open links like how you want.

Why won't the video recorder work?

I bought my 8G ipod nano a mere week ago, and whenever I try to record, the graphical lens opens and the little red light and timer come on, but the screen is black. It will even say it is recording, but I cannot see anything. If I then try to go back, the graphical lens closes and the ipod freezes and has to be reset.
I just tried restoring it on a PC (it was previously set up on Mac) to see if anything would change. But alas, no success.
Anyone know how to solve this one?

Why won't the 3d widget work in my Photoshop file?

For simple files, the 3d widget appears when I convert an object to a Postcard and responds to my use of it. For some of my complex multi-layer files, the widget shows up but does not respond to my mouse clicks. It just sits there. I can manipulate the object using the 3d navigation tools, but the widget is useless. Is this a memory problem? I'm having problems with a 170 MB file with no other apps running other than Photoshop.
I'm on a Mac 2.66 GHz PowerBook with 8GB of RAM running OSX 10.8.5.

Why won't the iPod Classic 160GB charge with the iPad charger?

I found out the hard way that the iPad's 10w charger which works on my iPad-1 and on my iPhone 4s and on my iPod Touch *does not* work/provide a charge to my 2nd gen iPod Classic.
I had gone to Europe with a full charge on all of my devices, and on the long flight I used both the iPad and the iPod. Once in Spain, I left the iPod in the hotel safe; the phone and iPad were used throughout my vacation, receiving a charge every day via the 10w charger and European duckhead. The night before I left, I plugged in the iPod, knowing that I would need it for the return flight. Imagine my surprise the next day at the airport when I discovered that the iPod was practically dead. Before boarding, I verified that the charger itself (with the European connector) was still working on both the iPad and iPhone, and it was; but as soon as I connected it to the iPod...nothing.
When I eventually got home to the States, I sat down with both the 10w charger and two or three of the many other USB chargers I have accumulated over the years. With the exception of my ancient firewire connector, every single one will charge every single device-----except for the 10w charging the iPod Classic. The iPad will even get a charge from the non-10w charger; it just takes a very long time to get back to 100%. If I could find my 3rd gen Nano, I would try that, but I'm not sure where it is.
What gives here? Why won't the 10w charger work on the iPod Classic??

I finally got curious enough to get a young person's eyes to read the stuff on the bottom of my iPad Mini charger: 5v 1a which equates to 5W using Ohm's law P=IE (E=IR).
So that beng the max charging rate of a normal USB 2.0 port explains (derived from above posts by Bilbo_cheshire and CMJRoss) why that iPad charger does work when some of the larger iPad chargers do not work with the iPod. The current is limited so it does not cause the iPod to sqeal .

As said in the title Why won't the Avatar Interactive Desktop work on Windows xp SP3. I have tried everything (uninstalling AIR, reinsalling it etc) I can think of but nothing makes it work. This image shows what I get in return every time I try to install the app. My PC meets all requirements to run Adobe AIR. Why is this occuring? I have the current version of AIR.
