Wi fi not connected message

My ipad 2 wi fi is not working,  I get a Not Connected message.  Has anyone had this problem? if so what is the solution to be able to reconnect.
Thanks

Bghawes-
I suggest you unplug your WiFi router for a few seconds.  Then reset the iPad's network.  Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings.  You will then need to re-connect the iPad to WiFi.

Okay ... it's a better bet with a 1067 error message when trying to start the Apple Mobile Device Service, but we'd better check for a LSP issue, as per the following document:

  • BT Home hub not connected message

We use my wife's XP sp3 laptop wirelessly at home, but when we use it away from home on a 'paid for' wireless providers network (as no BTFon is avaliable at that location), we occasionally get the BT Home hub not connected message come up in an IE page. How can it be turned off, there is no solution in BT FAQs?

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Just for good measure, I would install another web browser while you still have internet access. Then if you have the same problem, try the other web browser and see if that works.
I noticed that you said it says that the Hub is switched off. This is the message that appears when there is no internet connection at all.
Maybe the WiFi had dropped and there was no signal for a small period of time, then when it went to go to the 'page cannot be displayed' screen it redirected you to the 'hub is switched off' message because it had been cached previously.

  • HP LaserJet 3030 printing gets "is not connected" message

When I send data to print, the printer appears to power off then restart with "Scanner Bulb warming up" message on the printer.  Then I get a message on my computer that the printer is not connected.
This occurs with either a USB cable attached directly to my Macbook Pro, or the USB cable attached to an Apple modem with HandyPrint software installed.  Either configuration was working previously.  Somehow it just stopped.
    Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

OK, can you go into your router settings to find what IP address it has given the printer?  If you want help, let me know what brand/model of router you have.
Is there a way to get the IP address by reading it on the front panel of the printer?

  • Printer not connected message

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion, and since then I am unable to print--I get the message "Printer Not Connected".   My printer is connected to my Airport Extreme router via Ethernet cable.  When I go to system preferences, then network, the firewire and the ethernet choices are red--as in not connected or not working.  When I go to advanced, after choosing ethernet, I clicked on Renew DHCP Lease, but this doesn't change anything.  Any help would be appreciated, because I use my printer all the time.  It is a Canon Pixma MG8120.
Also, my Airport utility is saying "No configured Airport base stations have been found.  Airport Utility will continue searching."

This is a common complaint after upgrading from Snow Leopard systems.
Try this - reset your printing system as described here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
Choose Print & Scan from the View menu.
Hold down the Option key while clicking the "-" (Remove printer) button. If no printers are currently added, hold down the Control key while clicking in the box that appears above the "+" (Add printer) button, then choose Reset printing system… from the contextual menu.
Then, add the Canon Pixma again using the "+" button.
What does Reset Printing System do?
    Deletes all queues and jobs.
Resets all printer settings to their default by deleting configuration files.
Performs a permissions check on the /tmp directory.
Any printers, scanners, or fax modems that previously appeared in System Preferences will need to be added again after resetting the printing system.
    That should fix it.

  • "Printer not connected" message, but printer may end up printing anyways hours after

I'm pretty much helpless after trying reinstalling drivers (the printer is a HP C7180), updating and reconfiguring my router in various ways (Dlink DIR-655, 2.07NA) and trying all types of connections possible for the printer (ethernet, usb, wifi, auto dhcp, fixed adress dhcp), deinstalling and reinstalling the printer in Lion.
The drivers were properly re-downloaded and reinstalled. I followed Apple instructions for this printer under Lion.
The printer will work just after reinstalling from a first computer, but will immediately start behaving strangely after that. Any other computer will be told that the printer is not connected. The job will be put on hold, but it might end up printing an hour or two after that (or never).
I can't tell for sure if the printer is defective. The diagnostic isn't clear at all. I'd buy a new printer, but I'm afraid it might do the same thing, because it could be some problem with the router, for instance. I haven't found anything specific about this type of problem with this router model and this OS version (Lion 10.7.3).
    Any idea ?

    Hi @lbf626,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that you cannot connect your HP Officejet 6500 a plus 710n-z to your MacBook running OS X 10.10.2. I am sorry for the frustration, but I am happy to help!
    Please see the following:
'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Does Not Print: Mac OS X. (I would follow the instructions for OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion and OS X v10.9 Mavericks. As it will work on Mac OS X 10.10.2)
Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
Tips for troubleshooting wireless connection issues
The following tips can help you troubleshoot and avoid wireless connectivity issues. You can try these tips separately or in combination to get a successful wireless signal.
Move the printer and the computer closer to the router, but no closer than 6 ft (1.8 m). Wireless signals can be weaker at greater distances between the printer and the router.
If you are experiencing an intermittent wireless connection, try restarting your router. Consult your router manufacturer, Internet service provider, or network administrator for instructions on how to restart the router.
Remove any metal objects between the printer, the computer, and the router. Objects such as refrigerators, microwaves, or metal bookcases can interfere with wireless transmission.
Move any device that emits radio signals, such as microwaves and cordless telephones, farther away from the printer. Such devices can interfere with wireless signals.
Make sure the router is broadcasting at 2.4 ghz and not at 5 ghz.
I would also recommend this website, HP Wireless Printing Center - Troubleshooting Issues.

  • Trouble shooting "the printer is not connected" message

Trying to print on photo paper. From MacBook Pro to HP Deskjet 3520. Blue wireless light on printer is blinking, and when I try to print I get a message, "the printer is not connected." We recently got a new wireless modem. Thanks for sharing any insights!

    Hello KristenStram,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand your Deskjet 3520 wireless blue light is blinking and you're unable to print a document. I will do my best to assist you!
I would recommend reconnecting your printer since this printer should have a solid blue light. I would recommend following this entire HP document on Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Have a great night!

  • Cannot email from iPhoto: internet not connected message

I am using the latest version of iPhoto and also have just upgraded to Yosemite, though this problem has existed forever and I am just now at my limit of tolerance.
I get a message that says my internet is not connected or working properly; completely false btw.  I have tried deleting my accounts in iPhoto and reinstalling them to no avail.
    What do I do?

I could have sworn that I had chosen the options you suggested in the first place.  I did change to select Mail as the app and after your message, I tried once again to select iPhoto as the email app and yes, my iCloud account was at the top of the account list in iPhoto.  This time the email from iPhoto worked perfectly.
As they say in NYC..."Go figure"
    Thanks for the help

  • BT Sport Not Connected message

When using the App on my I Pad on WIFI to watch BT Sport I keep getting a message saying I am not connected to the Internet, although the picture continues to play, which I have to 'OK'. The programme then continues. I suspect that these are very short interruptions that the App is detecting. I do not get the problem on my Mac.

Ok, if you have a BT Vision+ box and can view the other extra broadband channels have a look in the following.
Help & Settings > Settings > Entitlement Information
That controls what you can and can't view.
If it doesn't include 'BT Sport SD' and possibly 'BT Sport HD' then it suggests your order for BT Sport hasn't been processed correctly on the system.

  • Wrote email was not connected message disappeared! any hope?

Important message written while not connected.  Connected later but can't find it in any part of mail. Message was not received. This seems a very OLD problem!
Any hope! Please keep it simple...

Even after rebooting, my last "stuck" email is not going out. When I open mail, it is immediately trying to send it again, but like before, without success. It is in the outbox. The Mail Activity window just shows the email half way through.
So now I have two problems:
    1) Can an email disappear after you hit send? Not getting sent and not ending up in your sent folder? If so, can I retrieve it from somewhere?
    2) What to do about the "stuck" email.
    Thanks,
    Don

  • Original MBP giving "not connected " message, connects after diagnostic

Forgive me for not being super savvy about the technical ins and outs of my original MBP...
I recently got a new wireless router (Belkin N) and that's when my issues began. Though the Airport signal is at 100%, safaru gives me the "not connected to the internet" message with the diagnostics button below. It was happening about every 15 minutes, so I called Belkin customer service and spent an hour on the phone, and the guy said the things we did (again, apologies for not remembering specifics...) should solve it. Though it did HELP (I can go up to about 2 hours without an issue now...), I still get the message.
I click the diagnostcs button, pick my signal, and either 1) it re-connects instantly ('you're connection appears to be working normally") or 2) makes me re-enter my password (and I always re-tick the 'remember in keychain' box) and THEN connects fine...
So ***? Can someone help me, with step by step instructions and layman's terms...?
    THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
<Post Relocated and Edited by Host>

How do I do that? I don;t see anything on the router IP that seems like the obvious thing to do... (I's only moderatley tech savvy, P.S....)
    THANKS!

  • Wifi problems.  I am using my ipad connected to a secure server.  I keep having connection problems.  My ipad shows I am connected, but I can't use the internet at all.  I keep getting a not connected message.  Help

I am using my ipad on a secure network.  I have problems staying connected.  It shows I'm connected with full bars but I can't use the internet.  I turn the wireless off, reset the network and turned off the ipad, but this problem keeps happening. (Its been going on about 2 weeks)  Any ideas?

Sayingyou went through all the steps of fixing provides us with little information see we do not know what step you tried.
    - Have you reset your iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Powered off and then back on your router?
    - The troubleshooting here:
iPhone and iPod touch: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections-
    - Configuring your router to use no encryption as a test. If OK, the try a simple password.

  • [SOLVED] After upgrade received PRINTER NOT CONNECTED message

In the event that anyone else gets this message on trying to print, I discovered that the lp module was not being loaded (as it always had been).  Loading the lp module fixed the problem. It took a while to track it down, and thought this quick solution might be helpful.

Great, thanks. Fixed it for me too.
