Wierd problems of JDMK in Weblogic8.1

Hi, all,
I use JDMK5.1 to connect two Applications with JMX RmiConnector. The Applications run in WebLogic8.1.4. App1 is a normal application monitored by App2. App1 creates RMIConnectorServer and App2 creates RMIConnectorClient, an HtmlAdaptor listening 8082 is also created in App1. App2 manages App1 by monitoring and controlling the mbeans of App1.
I got two weird problems making me crazy:
1. App2 can get the MBean's property of App1, but if the property is primitive type (such as long, int or boolean) and the MBean is not a StandardMBean, the property is null in App2, and "UNAVAILABLE: javax.management.MBeanException wraps [java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: long]" is shown in the html page of HttpAdaptor.
2. App2 can get some mbeans but not all mbeans. App2 can get objectname of all mbeans, but with some mbeans, App2 get the MBeanInfo will encounter the exception below:

Wierd problem with web start in windows 7

I have a wierd problem with my web start app in windows 7, it just hang it self. it work fine in windows XP and Vista.
The wierd thing is that i can open the app but when i press on a specific button that will make a jlabel present a .png image everthing crash. why do i get this problem now? when i start the app, i load some pic i jlabels and that seems to work fine, but when i do it under the exection it seems to crash, why?
Should i do something different to make the app work in windows 7?
I hope someone can help me out!!

You should:
a) open the console (java control panel, advanced options) and see the stackTrace (if any). If it's not there check for swallowing.
b) post a code snippet, to at least show how and where you retrieve the png. Possibly a SSCCE.
c) check if this happens also running as a standalone app (may be more Swing-related than JWS-related).

Oracle Report Server wierd problem

Hi All,
I am facing very wierd problem with oracle report server.
I am using Oracle Report Server 10g R1. The problem I am facing is as under:
There is custom parameter form where user enters report filter criteria and press a button to create the report.
The problem is that report is giving output some times and sometimes it gives no output at all. Both the times, the parameters passed by user are same. The report executions are done for both runs one after other. We have tried to look in report server trace file but could not find anything. When report server fails to give any data in the report, at the same time, we have tried to execute the report query on SQL prompt and it did return data.
Can any one give any hint where the problem could be ?

Hi,
When i used to get only one page the options like facing, continuous facing are disabled. And displays only single page.
These options are enabled only when there are multiple pages in pdf.
One more thing i found that it happens when I first view the report as pdf it displays
all the pages, then i change the display format to csv and again when i change
the format to pdf the problem starts.
And when I will restart the report server service, it works fine again until i wont view it in CSV format.

Wierd Problem

Hey guys, I wonder if you can help me..
Im having a wierd problem with my wifi/safari - i connect to my wireless network, youtube videos work fine, and google searches also work fine. The problem is, other then searches on google, no other websites load up. So for example if I were to search for "Ipod Touch" in google it would give me the list of all the sites, as you would expect google to do, but when it comes to me loading one of the pages it just wont load... Itunes is also not working..Its driving me mad....
I dont think its a problem with my router as my laptop, my wii, and my psp all work...
Any suggestions as to what to do?

What error(s) are the users receiving on the affected vlan? Are they using XP with the local firewall?

Updating a databse using jsp. Wierd problem

Can anyone help me with this wierd problem.
I update a databse using:

Observe that there is an apostrophie in bachelor's and this would cause pblms. I do not want to restrict users from stopping the use of apostrophie and neither can I remove apostrophie using other Java.String methods.
Is there any other way?

A wierd problem while encoding URLs

Hi all,
I'm facing a wierd problem with the java.net.URLEncoder class. The encode function in this class is used for encoding URL based on standards like "UTF-8" etc..
I need to encode the URLs, because i have to send this information in a XML to another server.. Here's what the URLEncoder is doing if i give it the URL
http://mydomain.com:80/myServlet?_fileName=filename.mp3&_useStreaming=true
its encoding this as
http%3A%2F%2Fmydomain.com%3A80%2FmyServlet%3F_fileName%3Dfilename.mp3%26_useStreaming%3Dtrue
but, all I wanted is to encode only '&' character ( as XML misinterprets this character with schemes ).
So, my question is .. is there any way that i can selectively encode the characters in the URL?
Any help wud be appriciated in this regard. :-)

I accept what you are saying.. URLEncoder encodes any string that's passed to it..
I infact have two different problems in hand.. The reason i mentioned only one above is because the solution to the first problem cud as well solve the second.. Anyway, here's the second problem ...
I'm recieving an XML from a server, where i get the URL info and i have to download the CONTENT from that URL.. Sample xml is given below

if you see the URL in the xml, that infact contains spaces in it.. I have my logic which checks if the given URL is a absolute URL or relative URL

I append "http://domain name:" stuff to make it absolute
else
i connect to the URL directly to get the Content

URI i = new URI(str);
i.isAbsolute() method to determine whether its a absolute URL or not..
but this method doesn't seem to work for URLs that have spaces in them.. So, i encoded the URL and tried passing it to the method.. but it still doesn't work..
I probed into URI class itself and found out to my amazement that URI class assumes that URL contains only alpha numeric characters and few special characters like '+' , '/' , ':' etc..
Since the encoded URL has '%' character in it.. its not able to say that its a absolute URL.. Tht's the reason I asked for selective encoding.. ( say, which encodes only [space] character)..

Me and my cousin both have the CURVE 8520. We both have the same OS (5.0.0.1067 platform 5.2.0.96)
We are both on the same GSM provider (warid pakistan). Our provider supports cell tower triangulation.
Here's the interesting part:
He is able to check-in on facebook but i can't! (I can assure you he has the curve 8520 and NOT the 8530)
(I know the curve 8520 does NOT have gps)
We're both using the latest facebook app (3.1.0.17)
(please refrain from telling me that he has the curve 8530 because:
1. our provider is gsm and i believe the 8530 is cdma
2. I have checked and checked again.
Any sloutions to this wierd problem will be greatly appreciated!

Wierd problem in iTunes Match with iPhone 5

iPhone 5 with iOS6. I have a wierd problem. I have iTunes Match turned on. All of my songs show up when I tap Songs. All of my playlists appear when I tap on Playlists. Great. BUT, when I tap on Artists (my preferred view) it says No Music. What the heck?!? Works fine (great even) on my iPad.

I'm having the same problem. I can access my itunes match on iphone 5 via wifi, but when I'm using 3G/4G/LTE in get a error message stating my membership has expired. This only happens on the iphone 5. It didnt happen on my 4S and nor does it happen with my "New" ipad Verizon. I'm not getting kind of help via itunes express, which *****. I'm starting to realize the iphone 5 is a piece of junk.

Zen stone , Wierd Problems. !!!!

I have a Zen stone , i was happy with its performance. but now its got some wierd problems which make it completely useless.
Its not getting charged. When i plug in it to a PC , it gets detected & i can do all the transfering.
But when connect it to a charger, it automatically starts playback ..!!!
After disconnecting the charger if i try to switch it ON, it won't power up.
What could be the possible problem?
If the problem is with battery, Is there any option to change it's

Did you charge your player before you used it's Even if you charged it when you first got it, 30 days would probably be enough time for the battery to discharge quite a bit...

Wierd problem starting gnome

Ok i have a slightly wierd problem. I wanted to install gnome 2.1 but i have no interent connection so i downloaded all the gnome related packages & their dependancies and installed them. I dont know exactly everything i installed but among others i installed the following and their dependancies:
gnome-applets
gnome-audio
gnome-backgrounds
gnome-blog
gnome-common
gnome-desktop
gnome-icon-theme
gnome-keyring
gnome-menus
gnome-panel
gnome-session
gnome-terminal
gnome-utils
gnome-vfs
gnome-volume-manager
I removed the exec entries for wmaker etc from the bottom of xinitrc files in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc and /etc/skel/xinitrc and put in exec gnome-session. - I wasnt sure which was the default xinirc file.
The problem is that gnome does kindof start but i get some kind of a mutation between what you get from starting xinit and gnome. Basically the gnome desktop and panels start in little windows which is no good.
Is it that theres something i need to install and havent or something i need to uninstall to allow gnome to work properly or what am i doing wrong?

There i no .xinitrc in the home directory by default, X defaults to one of the two i mentioned above - i didnt want to complicate things by putting one in my home directory.
Edit: Thanks though - i could have missed it.
Either way i finally go pacman to do pacman -S gnome and that fixed it. Must have been missing some package.
I get a proper gnome enviornment now but the terminal doesnt work and neither does nautilus. Trying to open the file manager crashes it removing icons from the desktop and the context menu.
Is this a common problem? Im thinking i might reinstall the whole thing because ive spent so much time messing around with it, bound to have broken something . . .

Wierd problem, monitor no signal.

ok, this is a pretty wierd story...
I was sitting at the computer, worked great with win x64, i turned it off and then i went on a vacation for 2 weeks.
Later when i come home i wanted to use the computer but when i put on the power (power off during vacation) and the cpu fan starts (it always do for some reason) and i press the power on/off button everything dies and i couldn't boot the computer at all anymore. i tried to reset cmos and change dimm slot for my 512 mb memory and it worked so far. now i can boot up, and shut it down when holding the power on/off for a couple of secs but my graphic card wont work. monitor keep says no signal even though i tested 2 different graphic cards and 2 different 512 mb memory compenents. anyone have any experience of this problem or similar problem i would be greatly appreciated if you replied in this thread.

no monitor and btw i just rebuilded my computer with my older asus a7n8 card with all the same components (Not cpu as a7n8 is a socket A) and it works excellent. Either it is the cpu or the motherboard's fault and i guess the cpu cant make the monitor go black?
perhaps something wrong with the agp slot or something. ill try to return it, if i cant i dont know what i'll do...

Series of Wierd Problems

Just recived a call from the user about this system (AGAIN!)
I have been having a go-round with a new I-Book G4. This system has given me a number of different problems. I have already been in touch with Apple and currently have a box to return it for repairs which Apple sent. Only problem is that the original problem which is what Apple entered as the reason for the call is not present any more. A new problem has occured.
The original involved trying to connect to a network. When the system is plugged in to our campus network it first worked on an of a number of ports. A few days later, this same system would not find a DHCP address but only on most of the ports. It did continue to work on a small number of ports. This is solely an Ethernet (wired) connection.
The OS was reloaded on a clean install from the DVD which came with the computer but there was no change in the problem. Updates from Apple could not be installed since the computer would never connect to the network.
It did however show the IPV6 with a hardware address. What was really wierd is that this only occurred on some ports. It worked just fine on other ports on the same sub-net. Other systems, both Apple and PC, would work fine on the ports where the IBook would not. Our network people ran several tests but could find no problem with the network.
A few days later, when I was giving it a last look prior to returning it to Apple, IT CONNECTED JUST FINE FROM ALL PORTS INCLUDING PORTS WHICH DID NOT WORK EARLIER. There were no changes made at either network or computer.
I took the system home to use it in a wireless enviorment and it connected to a couple of different wireless networks fine. IN FACT THE OS WAS UPDATED TO 10.4.3 USING ONE OF THESE WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTIONS.
a few days later, the log in times were longer than any I have seen. It might take a half hour to complete the log in from the time you hit the power button till you could use the computer. Then something changed, without my intervention, and the system would log in in about 30 or 40 seconds. Now it is going back to the very long log in time. Either the spinning wheel or the spinning beachball may appear. Sometimes the problem occurs before and sometimes after the user login window.
All things on this new (four weeks old) system are factory original (except for the OS which was updated from 10.4.2 to 10.4.3 as listed above. No external equipment. 512 Meg RAM (factory original) Problem occurs on both battery or AC adapter.
At one time or another in troubleshooting the network connection problem the PMU was reset, Safe Boot, Disk Permissions, NVRAM and PRAM Reset and all of the other things I could think of were done. Some of these were done again while the Apple Tech was on the phone with me.
With the intermitent nature of what has been happening, I am hesitant to send it back for fear that when it arrives at Apple it just might work perfect. Using the computer in different operating positions, (lid fully opened, partially opened, on its side, on its other side etc.) did not change anything. I had thoughts that a loose connection, bad soder joint or such might have been influencing the problem but I could not induce or remove a problem by any such mechanical means.
Any ideas anyone?????

Followup Info:
The long time to boot only occurs, or so it seems, when Airport is turned on. It does not seem to matter if there is a wireless network available or not. Turning Airport off before shutting down or logging off and not turning it on till after the log in process has completed seems to result in normal operation.
Why would Airport block the login process for a half hour or more????

Wierd Problem with Logitec mouse

I doubt this is board related but then again what do I know
I have a logitec MX 510 optical mouse. Driver version 980.
I get the wierdest audio feedback when browsing the internet. My mouse squeaks when I scroll pages. I am also getting sound feedback from my hard drive and fans but it's comming through my speakers/head phones. I did a clean install and tried "all two" of the different versions of the Logitec drivers for this mouse.
I still here the squeek even with the volume shut down completely.
The only thing I havent tried is using different chipset and audio drivers from Nvidia. I am using the current ones from there website. I don't think it's a sound driver problem though due to the squeeks and noises being audible with the volume turned all the way down.
I personally think it could be a USB problem or board problem. Maybe even a mouse problem..
Seems like a wierd power feedback problem or something to me.
I'm going to keep working on it.
I came here because you guys always seem to have some good suggestions and are willing to help. I will not get my feelings hurt if you don't have any ideas for this problem. I know it's wierd...

I have the same problem, but using different equipment. K7N2 Delta-L and a no-name Optical mouse. I get the noise/squeek upon moving the mouse. It's not loud, but it is there.
It has to do with the optics of the mouse, because if you lift it off the mouse pad = no noise. If it is staionary = no noise. If you move it when all other functions are silent, then the feedback. I have tried both the NVIDA and the REALTEK audio drivers, same problem. My next test will be a different mouse.
Any one else hear this noise?

Macbook Pro wierd problem

Hi! I have a brand new Macbook Pro 13" Retina Display with i7. I bought it brand new from Apple for about 2 weeks ago and something wierd happens sometimes. The keyboard stops working, and the touchpad. I can not move the mouse, and I can not press any buttons. This usually happens on YouTube or when watching a video, which makes me to force the Mac to shut down. Any suggestions to prevent this?

You should of did something about it when you first had it. Apple has a 14 day No Questions Asked return policy for full refund. Now that you have had that Mac for more than 14 days you are kind of stuck with it and hope Apple fixes the problem.
There is a KB article on it also. Something about closing the lid for one minute when this fault happens.

Now, it doesnt look as bad in the screenshot because everytime I would hit the button to take it, the screen would calm down for the split second that I had the button pressed. But you can still see that its not right. Just imagine it being a lot worse than that. I really have no clue of what the problem is. Also it just does wierd flickering at times while in games. Can anybody help?
The pic may look a lil small to some and it may not look as bad while it is small. If it is, i guess you can just save it or something and zoom in and look at it a normal screen size. It really looks bad.
