To use wifi you just need access to a wifi network (and it's password if the network is password protected). If you want to be able to get online when you don't have access to a wifi network then if you have a iPhone you might be able to use that and it's network as a personal hotspot for the iPad (if your carrier supports it), or you can get mifi devices which take sim cards (and therefore also use a cellular network) and which act as mobile hotspots - for either of those to work you would need to be in area that is covered by the phone's/mifi's network

CS2 was created for the Power PC processor which your old iMac obviously was.
Your new Mac with OSX 10.9.5 is an Intel Mac and no longer runs Power PC applications.
For several years after the transition from Power PC to Intel Apple had provided an emulator called Rosetta that allowed Intel Macs to run Power PC applications.
However, the last version of the Mac OS that had Rosetta was OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.
Even if you could find a copy of OSX 10.6.8 it would be highly unlikely that it would ever install on a newer Mac due to different firmware versions.
Your only hope is to buy an older used Mac that can run OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard or earlier.

the free apps are only for ios device (iphone ipad ipod touch) and do not work on mac computers. if you do get pages and numbers on your mac though you can sync the information using icloud

Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

If there are fonts, transitions, builds, video or audio in the PowerPoint file that are not compatible with Keynote, it will either prevent the presentation opening or Keynote will substitute the settings causing playback changes.
I use Open Office to play and open any PowerPoint files sent to me, they play exactly as in PowerPoint.

First, to prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on your iPod. You may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, to prevent purchases in case the child gets hold of your iTunes Store account information, and set the password to be required immediately. Good luck finding the solution. I have another posting https://discussions.apple.com/message/25145839#25145839 on this exact same issue, and that is after looking on my own for the solution on the web and on Apple's forum without any luck for a real solution. Having to RESET a device every time I need to clear out old messages from memory sounds to me like an intended pain from Apple to keep pushing iPhone users to purchase additional iCloud backup plans.

Save the videos to your computer. There must be some way to do it. Read the documentation that came with the app or go to the app online support. Perhaps it uses iOS file Sharing.

If you want to have Pages, Numbers and Keynote on the iPad then you will need to buy the app versions from the iTunes app store - the Mac version (OS X) is not compatible with the iPad (iOS), they are different operating systems.
