Will iPhone 1.0 still work as an iPod touch if AT&T service is stopped?

If I purchase an iPhone 2.0 and my existing iPhone 1.0 AT&T service is transferred/upgraded to iPhone 2.0, will my iPhone 1.0 then function as an iPod touch? Or will it be a brick?

iPhone 2.0 is a software update that includes many new features and can be installed in your current iPhone. If you do get the new iPhone (called the iPhone 3g) your old one would still work just fine. One of the major differences between the old and new iPhones is GPS (Global Positioning System). The original iPhones won't have true GPS like the iPhone 3g, even with the software update.

You will need to have a SIM in the phone to activate it. If it's still locked to a carrier, it will need to be a SIM from that carrier. This would need to be done if/when you update the software.

If you erase the device and re-configure it for you and your Apple ID, then he cannot track you without knowing your Apple ID and password. And, be sure you enable Find My Phone via iCloud preferences on your computer.

Try a soft reset, press and hold both power and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears, about 15 seconds, then release both. If still no joy, go into Settings>General>Reset then tap Reset All Settings. If still no joy, back up your iPod to your computer then do a Restore to Backup, if that doesn't work Restore to new through iTunes. Apple is not telling you the Complete story about Lion.
The installer for FCP 6 is Power PC code/ IBM CPU code, which Lion does not support.
FCP 6 is NOT Power PC code, it will run on Lion and Mountain Lion, as I have read on many posts.

Do nothing, its already running OK
Solution condition where FCP 6 not installed and OS Lion installed.
Connect a firewire drive to your MAC and install the old OS on it (eg snow leopard) ,
Reboot to that OS
Install FCP 6
Reboot to your new OS (EG Lion)
Run FCP 6

After upgrade will older iDVD themes still work?

I currently have iLife 05 Installed with all themes from iDVD 1 to 5. Will these older themes still work after an iLife 06 upgrade?

Yes, in iDVD 6 are included the old themes: from iDVD5, 4, and 22 themes called "old themes". I don't know if those are all of the ones from 1 to 3, but looks like.
Anyway, you can keep for some days both version 5 and 6 of iDVD if you rename iDVD 5 with a different name (like "iDVD 5") before installing version 6.

HT1212 Reset does not work on disabled Ipod touch. I did the never synced device option on a computer that we have never synced with. Still says try again in 22,462,172 minutes. Itunes says it cannot sync also. Any ideas???

Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
