My uprade has happened. According to the BT tester my IP Profiles are 66.1 down and 20 up.
The BT tester showed 28 megs down and 13 up. (before I was getting 37.5 down and 8 up) - oh yes ... WIRED!
Namsco showed 50 megs down and 13 up.
BT (new) Beta shows 68 down 6 up and a ping of 56ms (low upload is repeatable!)
So, will my IPP change over time? My line has loss of around 8-9db to the cab, and it's also aluminium (so of course, it'll probably be noisey).

IP profiles can vary due to line noise and increased cross talk as more users buy FTTC services and you are now working at the margin of the line whilst before you were not. The modem will be operating on a SNR margin of around 6dB whilst before when capped at 40Mb/s it had a margin well over 12dB so your profiles are more likely to change than before, but don't worry too much as they should remain well above 40Mb/s.
I really would not worry too much about speedtesters as results vary. The main BT Speedtester should not be trusted last night it reported I had a 4Mb/s download speed just after I had downloaded a file at over 8MB/s it is severly broken! Other testers also give results all over the place so cannot be easily compared so I always use the same server on Speedtest.net and only get concerned if that varies by more than 20% then I check my profile and download a few test files.

Just make sure you update it to 10.6.8 (the last version of Snow Leopard) once you get it if it isn't running it already. Just go to the  menu and then Software Update. This will give you access to the App Store which is needed to download Yosemite.

IP Profile change methods

Seen a lot of posts asking about IP profile change methods and so here is how i believe they work. Hopefully this messgage will remain formatted as it is typed
You will be on one and only one of the 3 methods although there are some rare exceptions such as fixed rate lines and banded rates. For banded rates due to line issues I have been informed that it can take 3 days to sort itself out if the line remains ok. Additionally for new or reset lines the bedding in period varies between 3-10 days and than can effect the profile used.
1 88.2% method.
This is the newest method and basically removes the concept of a profile as such as matches similar other schemes in place by other providers. Your 'profile' is set to 88.2% of your downstream sync rate (which allows for the overheads needed that are contained wiithin the traffic). Setting is I believe reasonably concurrent with a change in sync speed but that remains to be be confirmed and it could be that it may take up to 75 minutes as per currently decreases would take. IMJOLLY has confirmed that change is immediate.
It is believed that all exchanges will be upgraded to this method eventually but that has not been confirmed. If you run a BT speedcheck it will tell you your IP profile, if it is not a nice round value ending on 0 or 5 then you are on this method already, otherwise your profile should fit one of the values in the table further down (unless your speed is greater than I cater for) It is now suspected that only CN21 enabled exchanged may be getting updated leaving the others at a even greater disadvantage.
2 Oldest method
Decreases in profile take up to 75 minutes to apply, increases can take up to 3 days from the time of a higher sync.
3 Adaptive Max
Adaptive max is available on some exhanges and is an attempt to speed up the resets for those affected without resetting it too quickly and causing more issues if there is a line issue.
Change depends on the lowest rate that caused a decrease and the new profile that your current sync would fall within. (decreases are within 75 minutes, the table is for increases only)

Old rate is down the side and new rate along the top, the resultant value is the number of hours for a change to take place. This is the minimum time and it seems that it may take a few hours longer than expected, probably because I suspect that the process to check/reset the values only runs periodically and so you should probably allow up to 2 hours or so extra.

Still not been able to get a confirmation of the upgrades (or at least mine) neither the mods here nor BT technical helpdesk have replied yet to my query on it.
When it comes it it will I expect remove the need for a lot of people to be raising issues and calling the helpdesk.
I am pretty sure re how adapative max is working on my line, the last few occassions have all fitted that pattern as near as I can tell exactly. Different exchanges may run the updates at different times perhaps but I suspect it is a common setting so perhaps not but for me the time starts to count from the next xx:30 time after a higher sync, lasts 12 or 24 hours and then the next xx:30 time therefater the profile gets reset.

How to track mrp profile change

Goto MM02 -Enter Material -Environment - Display Changes - Here ,You will get list of changes in transaction with time , user id .
Now if you select the check box and hit magnifying glass symbol , it will take you to the changes done by certain user .
For MRP profile :
In the Material Master menu, choose Profile ® MRP profile ® Usage.
The selection screen appears.
Enter the name of the profile. You can also enter a plant and MRP controller to restrict the selection. Then choose Execute.
A list is displayed of the material master records in which the MRP profile is used. You now have the following options:
You can display or change the MRP profile by choosing Display profile or Change profile respectively.
You can display or change a particular material master record in which the MRP profile is used by choosing Display material or Change material respectively. In the material master for industry, the MRP view on the material master record appears, from which you can access the other views. In the article master for retail, the Display or Change Article: Initial Screen appears.

CRM WebUI Layout Profile after upgrade.

We have upgraded CRM system from 6.0 to EHP1. In the earlier system, there was a custom layout profile. Somehow that is not working after the system upgrade. On Web ui in personalize option, when i select that profile, i can see only the text on UI, all graphics are not visible, and for buttons cross image comes.
I opened the BSP application "THTMLB_STYLES" in the upgraded system and found that after system upgrade, few files have been added to standard layout profile i.e. default. These CSS files are not there in the customized layout profile after upgrade.
Now my question is "Is there any report program kind of thing that can synchronize the standard and customized layout profile?" like we have report for runtime repositories comparisons.
If not, then should i create another layout profile by copying the default and make changes to that or is there any way to edit the current custom layout profile.

Retriving partner profiles after upgradation

Hi All,
We are upgrading our system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0. so while upgradation, will the partner profiles of the IDOCS be forwarded to the new version?
If no, how do we get them in the new system. If yes, where they are stored.
I mean, what are the tables they are stored.
I found out that, they wont be carried fwd to the new version. we need to configure them manually. But when they are in thousands it is difficult task right.
Is there any perfect procedure for this task.

Will I be able to upgrade from Lion to Mavericks?

First, I know my machine will handle Mavericks, that's not my question. What I want to know is:
If I have Lion now, will I be able to upgrade from Lion to Mavericks for the Mavericks price quoted, or will I have to upgrade to Mt. Lion and then Mavericks? I was going to upgrade to Mt. Lion right about now, but don't want to pay for two upgrades within 3 or 4 months if I don't have to.

If everything goes like in Mountain Lion, you should be able to upgrade to Mavericks from any OS X version with the App Store: Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion, always that your MacBook Pro is supported, thing that we don't know yet until Apple releases the requirements. Note that this may change with the final version

Will I be able to upgrade ever again without being forced onto a Share Everything plan?

I just got off the phone with customer service and I'm seriously hoping they were wrong about the upcoming changes. I currently have a family plan with 4 smartphones, and have determined that the new plans will increase my bill by about $50 a month, for less data. I am not interested in the new plans at all, and feel they are a huge insult to all but a small portion of the customer base (but I digress, that's not my question).
Anyway, after trying to convince me that I'd be getting a better deal by increasing my monthly bill by $50 (seriously) they told me that ANY upgrade performed after 6/28 would force my entire account (all 4 lines) onto the new plan. This is not a question of unlimited data vs capped data. My question is: will we be able to upgrade lines and at least keep the 2GB $30 plan in the future? If anyone can provide any details on this question I would greatly appreciate it.

You're not required to move to Share Everything but if you do, unlimited data will not be retained on your line. As a Verizon Wireless customer you have choices when you upgrade at discounted pricing. You can choose from a standalone data package starting at $30 for 2GB or a Share Everything Plan. If keeping unlimited is important to you, you can choose to upgrade and pay full retail price for the phone.

Will iTunes 720 movies be upgradable to 1080

I was wondering the movies I have on my iTunes already that are 720. Will you be able to upgrade to 1080 almost like iTunes Plus. I want to move all my movies to 1080 without having to re-download them.

If you don’t mind me asking. is there an easy way to check if your current movies are offered in 1080P. Or do you have to check each movie individually.
I don't know if there's an easy way but I haven't looked for it so maybe there is. The way I did it was basically go into the iTunes Store, looked up each show I had and checked to see if it had "1080p download" in the description. If you haven't done so already, be sure to go into your iTunes preferences and change the preferred download from 720p to 1080p; otherwise you won't see if an movie/episode is available in 1080p.
And another thing to watch out for - most of the time, if a 1080p version is available, it will says "1080p download" in the description. But I've noticed that sometimes, even though a 1080p version is available, the description only calls it "HD." That makes it confusing whether it's referring to 720p HD or 1080p HD. I was able to tell it was 1080p HD because the "download" button was selectable next to the episode rather than saying "downloaded." Since I already had the 720p version, being able to download it again meant a new version - the 1080p one - was available.

N97 profile changing

DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE IF HAVING THIS PROBLEM BUT IF I CHANGE MY PROFILE USING THE HOME SCREEN THE RING TONE DOSE NOT CHANGE. I HAVE TO GO INTO SETTINGS TO CHANGE THE PROFILE TO GET MY RINGTONE BACK. P.S. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS THIS DAM N97 WILL ONLY TYPE IN CAPS ON SOME TEXT BOXS

I just ran the following text on my N97 RM-507 (firmware V11.2.021) and cannot replicate your issue.
I have a Melissa Etheridge song set as the ring tone for my Normal profile. I went into Settings and set a John Farnham song for the Outdoor profile. I activated the Outdoor profile.
I then rang my phone, John was loud and clear.
From the homescreen, I then changed back to Normal and rang my phone again. Melissa was loud and clear.
From the homescreen I changed back to Outdoor and I definitely had John again.
I did this swap a few times and each time I got the ring tone I had set for that particular profile.
While this doesn't solve your problem, it does indicate that it is not a bug with the model as such, but maybe an issue with your particular handset. A visit to Nokia Care may be in order.

Will Sky remove device change limit during Windows 10 migration?

Hi, does anybody know if Sky will remove the device change limit for this month? just upgraded all machines in the house to Windows 10 and it looks like now it ill take 4 months to get the deviecs all registered again, which is not user friendly and show poor planning on Sky's behalf as well as mie for not doing a simple test. I had the same frustration as you and came on here to ask the same question. My frustration was then multiplied because 'super users' kept telling me it's not Sky's fault.
I can confirm I've spoken to Sky at some length about this. Firstly they do support Win10, contrary to what some of the super-users say. Secondly, they can remove limits and they did for me and many other people. Like you I lost use of Sky Go on updated devices but within a few days I managed to get them all restored.
Win10 isn't broken and Sky Go works perfectly with Win10. The only issue is that of the upgrade to Win10 seeing it as a new separate device which isn't a technical fault as such and only became an issue because Sky have a monthly limit.
As I say, Sky recognise that and have lifted the limit for many. Your biggest frustration will be getting someone in customer services who's helpful and willing. Good luck.

HR PA and Planning (PD profile) changes not updating auth profiles of users

PROBLEM:
We are on ERP version 6 since 2008. We started experiencing this problem December last year and now it is all over our system. As soon as employees are transferred or new appointments are made in HR on PA or if the PD profile is changed in planning the changes cannot be seen by the user in their auth profile. The user can literally not see the newly appointed employee on the org structure or even newly created org units and positions are not visible. When RE_RHAUTH00 is run on the user name the update indicates that the changes (new employee and new org unit) is linked.
The following updates run every night: RHPROFL0_DAILY_UPDATE and RHUATUPD_NEW. I have also run PFUD during the day to make sure all updates go through. We have also "played" with some profiles with PD profile changes but it is as if the profile remains completely static. We have looked for personnel lists and deleted them to no avail. Our Basis administrator has cleared the buffer for us and has run report RSUSR405 that did not do anything. We have searched through notes on Support packages and have just loaded and tested support pack 46 to 53. The only work around seems to be to delete the user and create a new user and then it seems to easily accept new changes.
