Windows events not in report
Hello alli've a very strange problem that prevents:1) events from being present in a scheduled report
2) events from being present from all but the PC spiceworks is running onMy current setup:- a central site
- some remote sitesThe connection between sites works correctly; central site version is on 7.3.00108, while remote site on which i'm having trouble is on 7.4.00065.On central site i'm able to see all the PC on the remote site succesfully scanned without errors. The events are also registered (see picture capture1.jpg - one of the remote site PC showed). When i generate report for this PC, i've always got empty report.
The report is a SQL query which is working on another group o PC from another remote site. Also, on remote site, i'm running spiceworks on say PC1 and for a long time 'ive got reported events only from that PC1 and non...
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks Community
Update to 9.1.3.
If that doesn't fix it, then select all the pics in the Event, flag them and go Create Event from Flagged Photos

after writing an html report on a floppy disk and removing it, labview shows an error message window: disk not present.
My pc is based on asus motherboard. Labview 7 and Windows 2000 sp4 installed.
The error message continue also if i stop the application that generated report on a: .
I've got this problem only on a pc: on other machines i don't have this problem (Labview only continues to access floppy but it doesn't show any window).
Find below an example: first press the button to create a report on a: then remove the floppy, after 30-35 sec i've got the error message

prova.vi 55 KBHi,
I tried your vi: I don't get any error message after removing the disk but LV7 keeps on accessing the drive at regular intervals even if you stop the vi and close it!!! This is not supposed to happen.
The only way to stop it is exit LV7.
If you don't use the file dialog and you wire a full path, you don't get any problem.
I also created a very simple vi that conditionally writes a text file on a: and I got the same behaviour.
This problem occurs only with LV7, I tried the same examples in LV6.1 and everything was fine.
If anybody wants to try I attach this simple example,
Alberto

Error encountered while signing. Windows cryptographic service provider reported an error. Object not found. Error code:2148073489. Windows 7, Adobe Reader XI, Symantec PKI, Smart Card and CAC. I have seen other threads for this error but none have a resolution. Any help would be appreciated.

When starting Windows 7 Sync Notifier reports "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll." Any suggestions as to how to rectify this issue?
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
3. Now paste it in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.

Urgent: "The Metric Windows Event Severity" Is Not Raising Any Alert
Hi, All,
The version for OMS server & agent in my env is 10.2.0.4. We need to monitor a windows host as well as its windows event log. So I set the metric for 'Windows event severity' as log name='System', Warning threadhold='Warning', Critical threahold='Error'. But there is no any alert raised at all. I am sure there are 'Warning' and 'Error' event log in the windows host.
Does any body meet the same problems? I found a doc 561050.1 which metioned the same issue and it told me I should patch 6752515. But it still does not work.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Dear Technet,
Windows could not start the Cluster Service on Local computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 2.
My cluster suddenly went disappear. and tried to restart the cluster service. When trying to restart service this above mention error comes up.
even i tried to remove the cluster through power-shell still couldn't happen because of cluster service not running.
Help me please.. thank you.
Regards
ShamilHi,
Could you confirm which account when you start the cluster service? The Cluster service is a service that requires a domain user account.
The server cluster Setup program changes the local security policy for this account by granting a set of user rights to the account. Additionally, this account is made a member
of the local Administrators group.
If one or more of these user rights are missing, the Cluster service may stop immediately during startup or later, depending on when the Cluster service requires the particular
user right.
Hope this helps.

PLEASE anyone help? I am not a techie person and i dont know how to fix this problem. Thank you and regards. Now, this is pretty complicated for me to understand but one thing is just clear, this is counterfeit. I have asked help from other Windows7 forums and all they tell me is to report this to Microsoft.
MANY people have counterfeit installs - very few of them actually know it! And im one of them.
A large proprtion of counterfeiting is done b vendors who can make a quick buck by buying/building OS-free machines, and installing 'Ultimate' to unsuspecting purchasers.
Another thing is that I cannot see any COA sticker anywhere my unit.
I used a keyfinder softwareto find my product key but it's not valid for activation since the key used in here is a Default Key. is is getting worst.
I am not very good with this technology stuff and im getting really frustrated.
Is it possible that if i upgrade my system to Windows 8, and use a legal purchase, will i be able to get rid of this "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine." thing???????
Please help. Thank you. -
Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Windows update not applicable
HELP!!! We have 3 Windows 2008 R2 servers that were updated with SP1 back in March. Last month we noticed on our Retina audit that the three servers were missing several Windows critical patches that were released after SP1 was applied. WSUS did not report
any missing patches for those three servers. When we tried to manually apply those missing patches we get the error message "This update is not applicable to your computer". After some troubleshooting we found that KB976932 (Service Pact 1) is not listed in
installed updates. However, system property shows Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Enterprise Edition. We are certain that SP1 did NOT come pre-installed. Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer detected no missing patches. Microsoft System Readiness Tool CBA logs show no
errors. Ran SFC /SCANNOW and found no error also. Force install of the patches with command switch /wuforce, did not work we still get the same message patch not applicable. We compared our servers that are fully patched running Windows 2008 R2 SP1 against
the three unpatched servers and found several dll and sys file's version to be different. Those dll and sys files are also the files that would have been updated by the critical patches. The only thing different between the fully patched Windows 2008 R2 SP1
servers and the unpatch are the unpatch have no public internet access. We confirmed patches that were required prior to SP1 push are installed: KB2454826 KB2534366 KB2533552 KB976902 Confirmed: Partition with Windows 2008 R2 SP1 installed is set to "ACTIVE"
Windows Event Collector service is started Windows Modules Installer is started Uninstalling SP1 is not possible because the KB976932 is not listed and verified "not hidden" in installed updates list. Rebuilding the three servers are the very last option,
since they are critical. Other than the missing patches.... the servers are running great, we have no reported issues with the three servers. Attempt to reinstall SP1 failed after reboot, error 0X800F0826. If anyone has experience this problem and know of
a solution please help.Hi,
I would like to confirm that what updates are not applicable for your three Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 servers?
Based on the current situation, please run the System Update Readiness Tool as Meinolf Weber mentioned and check the CheckSUR.persist.log for the corrupted
files. After that, please refer to the following Microsoft TechNet article for how to repair them.

Hello,
Setup a new Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 domain with WSUS.
Added a new OU & linked a WSUS GPO to it.
Added one Windows 7 Pro 64 bit test client to the domain & moved it to the OU.
Confirmed WSUS sees the client machine under both 'All Computers' & 'Unassigned Computers' but with a 'not yet reported' status.
Successfully ran ALL the steps in this article below including wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow and it's been over an hour but still not change in status.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708627(v=ws.10).aspx
Should I give it more time and see or are there other steps I should take instead?
ThanksHi Steven,
I have completed a rebuild of my test client (Windows 7 Pro 64 bit) and then:
- Connected to internet & installed one round of 29 windows updates
- joined the client to my Windows 2008 domain
- moved the client to my WSUS OU, replicated to all DC's
- successfully ran gpupdate /force
- Successfully ran ALL the steps in this article below including wuauclt.exe
/resetauthorization /detectnowand
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708627(v=ws.10).aspx
- as mentioned yesterday, the MS Report Viewer Redistributable 2008 is indeed installed however still
has the 'not reported' status
- attempted a client shutdown a few times and no updates are installing
Below is a snapshot of the client's windowsupdate.log after it's connected to the WSUS server for your review:

Windows does not fully shutdown--case lights and fans remain on
Hi all.
My computer (Win 7 64-bit) is not shutting down properly. When I click "Shut Down," Windows appears to carry out the shut down process, and the display then goes blank. But power to
my case persists; fans and LED lights remain on. I have no idea if this is even a hardware (motherboard, power supply, conflict) issue or software issue (OS, BIOS, etc). Any ideas how I can pinpoint/troubleshoot the problem?
I tried booting into safe mode and shutting down from there, but after a couple seconds the process then froze on the Windows Shut Down screen.
My system specs are:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD3R-B3 (rev 1.x) (latest version of BIOS is installed)
BIOS: Latest for my motherboard (F9 I believe)
Processor: Intel Core i7
Memory: 8 GB DD3-1600 (4 x Kingston KHX1600C9D3K2)
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB WD10EZEX (brand new)
Power supply: 700W Stronger SPSN-070P
GPU: Radeon 6850
This is a fresh Windows install, and all Windows updates are up-to-date
Thanks in advance.OK below my event logs for the shutdown process, from 2 different systems: the system with the shutdown issue (system 1) and a system with working shutdown (system 2). The broken system reports 1 error during shutdown:
The Superfetch service terminated with service-specific error The operation completed successfully..
I can share the details from the event viewer if you'd like, but it's a lot of gibberish. The most interesting would be:
[Name] Service Control Manager
[ Guid] {555908d1-a6d7-4695-8e1e-26931d2012f4
Unfortunately they are not identical systems They are both running Win 7 32 bit, but the broken system (system 1) has no Windows Updates and no extra software installed. The working system is up to date with Win updates, and has some more software
installed. I also have event log (*.evtx) files of each shutdown process, showing details.

104 Log clear
The System log file was cleared. -
We are currently deploying remote management in our organization. As part of
this process, all the policies have been created. We are deploying the
client 4.83SP3 and 3.32SP2. Our Win2K machines are importing just fine and
without errors. However, on the few Win98SE machines that we have attempted
this on, we are getting the following error:
*****(1)***** 04/08/04 10:35:15 am
WSREG-v3.0 This log file is reporting activity on a UNKNOWN_EVENT event.
WSREG-v3.0 An old version of WSReg32.exe called WSReg.dll using the
obsolete BootStrapper() entry point.
WSREG-v3.0 Registration will not occur for this event.
WSREG-v3.0 The program finished running.
I have run unreg32.exe and wsreg32.exe several times and have not been able
to clear the problem. We are using ZfD3.2. Any insight or direction would be
most helpful!
Thanks!

OK. Download ans install Ethereal from www.ethereal.com. You must also
install the packet driver. Connect a pc with ethereal and the PC you
are
observing to the same hub (since you need to see all traffic). Then:
On ethereal PC, start ethereal, then Capture, Start.
On error PC try running wsreg
When wsreg fails, stop trace, have a look at it. You will see all
traffic
to/from PC, including any files loaded and from where.

WSUS 3.0 SP2 Some clients have not yet reported
Hi, I am ready to tear my hair out here. My WSUS Server is running version 3.0 SP2 (Server Version 3.2.7600.274. I have installed the following KB's on the server (KB2720211, KB2734608 and KB29308066). Around 60% of my clients have a status of not yet reported.
The clients are on client version 7.6.7600.320. I am attaching some of the windowsupdate.log details from one of the clients which has not yet reported. Have I missed something obvious here?
Many thanks,
Niall.
