ie. C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Test Software\~test\test.exe
Affect OS: Vista, Win7, Win8/8.1, Win10 TP2

According to the error messages ,this issue seems to be related to the test software. Is it a software developed by yourself ?
Please check the test software path .Exclude the special "~" symbol of "~test" in the path and then check the symptom.

Intially i am used dbms_scheduler to schedule pl/sql jobs that's working fine,But according to client standards
need to schedule pl/sql jobs using autosys to run on windows, Can Oracle 11g support autosys to schedule pl/sql
jobs run on windows environment(version 5), If so what package oracle package will be used ? How to schedule,

Dbms_scheduler is a much much much more mature product than any thid party tool.
Also, why schedule PL/SQL outside the database (likely exposing passwords) when it can be done inside the database (without exposing password)
Please ask the client why they want by this 'requirement' to stick to obsolete technology.
They pay for dbms_scheduler, and they don't need autosys
(and yes, I consulted autosys documentation for free on your behalf)
Other than that: your request to provide autosys documentation in an Oracle forum must be judged inappriopriate and points to refusal to do your own research.

Windows firewall rules

Hello Dear Sir/Madam
I am trying to create an inbound firewall rule to grant access ICMP4 to my server(2008 r2),although I have created this rule I can not ping my server by its IP address. but when I disable firewall I can ping It so could you please help me why windows firewall
can not recognize my new rule?

Hi,
Can you ping other computers? How did you create the firewall inbound rule? In general, enabling incoming ICMP Echo messages will allow others to ping your computere. Please try to enable the File and Printer Sharing ( Echo Request- ICMPv4-In) in the inbound
firewall rules to see if the issue persists.

For months now I have been unable to connect to the iTunes store on my Windows 7 64-bit PC. Tried everything. Windows firewall is replaced by McAfee firewall and I enabled full access there for iTunes. What else can I do to fix this?

K7T Turbo limited edition can't support Windows XP!!!!

i'm user of K7T Turbo Limited Edition mainboard, i treid to upgrade my OS to Windows XP currently and i found that the installation aborted abnormaly when it reach windows is restarting phase, and my PC will just hang without giving any response, i'm wondering my mianboard can't support Windows XP. There is no reason why your mobo (or printer for that matter, XP-drivers, both for parallel and USB interface can be downloaded from the HP site) would NOT support Windows XP.
It could be, however, that you need to update BIOS first. If you have a BIOS version prior to 3.0, you will have to update.

An .exe file means you have the windows version. Go get the mac version:

Hi Abdallah,
According to your description, could you please post the summary and detail logs for further analysis? By default, the logs can be found in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log.
Usually, the error occurs when the Windows Installer Service is not running or the Windows Installer registry settings are corrupted. I recommend you reset the Windows Installer Service settings in the registry and restart the Windows Installer Service,
then reinstall SQL Server 2008 R2. For more details, please review this similar

Setting port exceptions for Windows Firewall via GPO. Is there a limit on the number of exceptions that can be set?

We would like to utilize GPOs to manage our Windows Firewall rule set. We have servers that have different requirements (HL7 connections, other programs) and our doctrine is to only open ports that are going to be used.
We need to be able to audit and enforce these standards, so GPOs seem to make the most sense to me.
The problem I am running into is when I attempt to define multiple Windows Firewall Inbound Port Exceptions. (More than 10) After "Applying and Okaying" I will go to verify the firewall rule-set but I find that quite a few of them are missing. It
seems like I am limited to 8-9 port exceptions per GPO.
I am unable to locate any documentation about this, but we can work around this by creating multiple GPOs.
Has anyone run into this issue before?

No, unfortunately. Our main server FW exception GPO contains 44 rules
with port or program exceptions, and it works flawlessly...

What rules do I need to include in Windows Firewall to allow Thunderbird out?

This issue applies to all mail clients I try (tried with Outlook too), but I'm asking here because Thunderbird is my preference.
I'm using Windows Firewall on Windows 8.1. I changed the default Allow Outbound traffic in Domain, Public and Private settings to Block so that my outbound traffic is restricted only to what I allow through firewall rules. I've allowed thunderbird.exe. But my mail client doesn't connect to the webmail servers and retrieve mail. Because I don't have an application to watch my firewall in real-time, I don't know if the specific disconnect is when Thunderbird tries to authenticate with the remote end or if it simply can't retrieve the mail (although my guess would be the former). But when I change the Block Outbound setting to Allow, it connects.
That tells me that I'm missing a rule, and just allowing thunderbird.exe out isn't enough. Has anyone experienced this issue before and know what other rules I would need to apply? If not, then would anyone suggest a good, free firewall analyzer that I can use to sleuth what's trying to get out?

Your Office 2011, though a Microsoft product, is designed to work with OSX the Mac operating system. Any program/application ending .exe is an executable program for Windows. It will only work in Windows and is not part of or openable with Microsoft Office.
the application you want to open needs Windows - you have a couple of alternatives:
Open it on a Windows PC
Install a valid version of Windows via Bootcamp (or Parallels or VM Fusion) which will allow you to boot your Mac into Windows where it will function like a Windows PC and you can use it to run the application.
See if the manufacturers of MFI_Simulator have a Mac version available.
Please note that if you follow the second option, then you will need to purchase a copy of Windows (if you do not have one already). BootCamp is free (part of OSX) but Parallels and VM Fusion cost too. I see quite a few posts from people who buy Parallels and try to run the program under Parallels - this doesn't work - you need to install Windows as well.

When I click "Firewall" in Control Panel nothing happens. I ran "sfc/scannow" in cmd as I was suggested, and it replied that it found damaged files but couldn't repair them. Any solutions?

Run “chkdsk” to check the health of the disk before you run “sfc/scannow”,sometimes the bad sectors of the disk may result in the repair`s failure. You may need to try to run “Sfc/scannow” in safe mode to have a repair.
If it still cannot be repaired, please check the logs related to this operation in this path:%WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. You may need to manually replace a corrupted system file with a known good copy of the file.

After doing this ,check the "Windows Firewall service " from the service controller .
If the issue persists and if it is possible ,a system restore may be a solution.
