The Radeon 9000 driver works for the Radeon 7500 card.  I have successfully used it on a T43 with Vista Ultimate x86

Unfortunately no.  The Radeon 9000 driver should bring your graphics score up to close to 2, but it will not get it high enough to enable Aero support.

  • HP LaserjetPro M277dw printer and windows vista driver installation issues

I ust got the hot off the press HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277 which seems to be a miraculous machine.  Just one problem.  When trying to download and install the printer driver it goes through the whole process and then tells you the driver will not work with this operating system.
Hmmm.  It says on the HP website that this is the correct software for this machine.  I have been through at least 10 HP support people up to Level 3 support and hours of online work with HP people trying to install the software.  The word I get back is that it will not work with my machine.  So I am wondering if I have a Windows Vista 64 bit machine, and the software says it is for that machine, but it wont load, what machine will it work with?  The last person I worked with just told me I will need to get a new computer.  I thought I just bought a printer that would work with my computer, and now I am told i have to buy a new one?
Any ideas on how to get the software to load?  I have some functionality, such as wireless network printing that one technician was able to get to work, but no scanning.  Another technician changed all the permissions for installing various programming segments to "everyone" but that didnt work either.  He had it so messed up that the it would not print anymore wirelessly either.  I had to restore to an earlier date after that guy got off my computer so i could at least get some functionality back.
So, without the driver, I cannot scan to this computer, and i really dont know what other good things i am missing out on because I have never experienced the correct configuration......please help if you can.  I need to send the machine back within a certain time period, and I really do think it is the solution for my business, if I could get it to work......Thanks!
PS Direct connection to computer and downloading software that way does't work either.....cannot use the printer directly connected.....

    Hi,
Is it the following one ? If not, please download then try again:
        http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL60646/kj-145845-1/HP_LaserJet_M277_PCL6_Legacy_Print_Dri...
By the way, what is the model of your Lasejet M277 printer ? Must be M277 something.
    Regards.

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @Stodgy70
I understand you're facing troubles when installing your Envy 5640 on a Windows Vista system.
After researching the error you're receiving, I would suggest creating a new User Account on the computer and ensuring it has Administrator Privileges, and trying the installation again from there.
Here is the direct link for you to download and install the printer on Windows Vista:

  • Windows Vista Driver for Sound Blaster 5.1 P

I want driver for Windows Vista 32 Bit edition for Sound Blaster 5. PCI sound card. I have loaded the Windows XP driver but as a result of that it is playing audio in 2 speaker stereo mode, but i have creative 5. speaker system. As a result of that sound is coming almost only from the front two speakers. Creative MIXER is also not working. Please suggest a solution.

Hi daniel_k , the driver works fine but there's a little problem : when i reboot , the startup process stops at about 50 percent (stops responding)?, when i launched the startup repair utility which takes about 0 mins to complete , then the pc boots normally?. When i look in device manager , it says my sound card?has no driver installed?but when reinstalling your driver it's ok again ! The main problem is when i restart ! Please note that i reinstalled windows 7 and performed a clean install of the driver as you requested before this problem arises . Please?can you fix the driver or give another one . Thanks .

  • Sorry: zen micro windows vista driver Proble

my zen is up-to-date firmware 2.2.02?connect it to windows vista 32 bits and windows says it can not find driver?why does this appens since creative says that zen micro is vista compatible.. thanks

I agree, Vista is a disappointing product, considering the time MicroSoft had to work on it. :|
I hope that they'll release a Service Pack soon to address their lack of legacy device support.

  • C6 Bluetooth to Windows Vista driver problems

While trying to connect my C6 to PC for the first time, Windows Vista starts asking for a driver  for a Bluetooth Peripheral Device.
Windows recognizes 4 such devices in total that need a driver.  As no installation CD is provided with the C6 phone and an online search yields no results, the installation can't be finalized and altough there is a Bluetooth connection established, no drivers means no services available that can use it.
Where can I find the drivers I need?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

After a long nigth of tinkering with, I got Bluetooth working.
I first changed the standard microsoft bluetooth stack for Broadcom, but connecting to the C6  failed again. I then installed Bluesoleil. That got the bluetooth connection between PC en C6 working, but only from within the Bluesoleil software. I then removed Bluesoleil and when I tried to reconnect my C6 over Bluetooth, installation went  without a hitch.
@jakke: Connecting from within Ovi Suite failed too.

  • Ati 9700 Windows Vista Driver Problem on a P10-792

I tried Windows Vista beta 5308 in my Toshiba P10-792 and i was unable to get graphics accelartion with Windows Vista graphics Driver for Ati 9700 , which is is built in P10-792.
    It reports error code 43.
After some research i found http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=268378&SiteID=1
Some people suggested to get the latest bios update for the laptop. I updated to the latest bios, but the problem still persists, is anyone experiencing the same problem ?
    Any help would be valuable.
    Thanks

    Hi
Usually you should use the Toshiba graphic drivers on the Toshiba notebooks.
I have found the description of the Error 34 on this Microsoft site:
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;310123#XSLTH3439121122120121120120
Error-Code 34: Windows cannot determine the settings for this device
Solution:: The device requires manual configuration
Well, the fact is that the Windows Vista is not official on the market and there are many test needed. Furthermore Toshiba doesnt proffer the graphic driver for Windows Vista at this time. In my opinion you have to wait for Toshiba graphic driver. Im sure that original Toshiba graphic drivers will work in the future.

  • SB Live! 5.1 Dell and Windows Vista Driv

Since the Sound Blaster Li've! 5. (digital) card included with Dell computers a few years ago are no longer supported by Creative, and since I now have Windows Vista 32-bit Ultimate edition, is there any way to get Creative drivers for it, or will I simply have to purchase the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro card that I planned to buy for a new custom-built high-performance computer?Simply put: Are there any Creative-made drivers for Vista for the SB Li've! 5. cards?

Try using the kX drivers. Admittingly, I also use kX on my XP MCE2005 box because the Creative drivers hang during install on MCE2005. I've also tested it under Vista 32 and it appears to work (didn't stick to Vista 32 because it was problematic and lacked certain features i.e. What-U-Hear for me). Good luck!

  • BREAKTHROUGH FOR WINDOWS VISTA DRIV

right....i stumbled on this purely by chance so im not sure if it works with everyone's set up.
Im running a SB Li've! soundcard, and have just installed Windows Vista Beta . Obviously there are no drivers out for this OS at present.
I downloaded the XP/2000 drivers for windows, and then EXTRACTED the .exe using WIN RAR.
I placed the extracted folder on my desktop.
I then went into audio/drivers, and clicked on "component install" or something like that. (can't remember what the program is called, but its not hard to find).
It installed them, and asked me to reboot vista, and when i next logged in, it found my PCI sound card!!
EDIT: all above processes were done in Vista, for obvious reasons :P
I have absolutely no idea if this works with any other sound card.
Can someone reply if this does seem to work, as it would solve a lot of peoples problems.

Anyways HOPEFULLY by the time beta 2 comes out Creative just might have released some official drivers, so we don't have to keep relying on hacks for sound :P...

  • HELP! Can Creative build a Windows Vista driver for my Nomad Zen USB 2.0

Hi there,?I just upgraded my operating system to the Windows Vista 34-bit thinking that I would actually be keeping up with the times but instead found myself leaving behind some old "toys" that no longer work with this computer...help!?Fingers crossed that Creative will come up with a solution to this problem. I love my NOMAD!?Thanks.
    ~Alex

It's multi-voltage (00-240V), so the voltage is not an issue. All you need is the plug adapter, as you mention.

  • The Windows Vista driver probl

I can understand the frustration everyone has, but being frustrated doesn't really solve the problem now does it's? Many of you need to understand, that this is a new operating system and with any new operating system release, there will be issues and hardware problems until the third party developers are able to create working drivers for the hardware and software as well. Here's what makes creative look bad at the moment:?Creative is an extremely large company and they have been around for years. In fact, they were one of the first to market. Since... well.. I can remember as far back as Windows 3.x. You would think a company as large and advanced as Creative would have the research, money, time, developers, etc to be right on track with these drivers. Many other companies have pulled through for us. I have found drivers for all my hardware components except my Li've! 24-bit card. Well, I correct myself. I found drivers for this card on the creative website, but they were developed in 2005. Wait.... did I just say 2005? Hmm.
I thought about an alternate soundcard. I checked the Turtle Beach website, since I hear they make a good card. Unfortunately, there are no drivers available at all, whereas at least creative has released beta drivers. Perhaps it's just a pain to create drivers for Vista. Maybe some sort of bug in the operating system is complicating things. I duno. Is the problem vista or creative? ... wait a minute... let's go back. Last drivers released for my card was in 2005? hmm. And the drivers work if I go into F8 and disable drivers signature checking. I think the problem is Microsoft. They are trying to take over the world. We already should know that.

    stgeorge wrote:
In Creative Labs' defense, the *only* reason EAX and direct access to the sound buffers were removed was strictly due to DRM and the wishes of Hollywood studios due to their irrational fears that everyone is a criminal until proven innocent.
But this was all known to every hardware manufacturer way back as early as WinHEC 2005 (about 20 months ago). Therefore, there is no excuse for not having non-beta drivers by now.
What?! You've got to be kidding me! DRM is causing us this trouble? OMFG. First DRM (Digital Rights Management, for those who don't know) keeps us from playing music by requiring licenses downloaded. Then, they make plans for "trusted computing" which will eventually require ALL video & audio to be approved before playing because they want to assume we are criminals and pirated the material. THEN the groundwork for Trusted Computing is put into Vista and now DIGITAL RIGHTS MANAGEMENT IS KEEPING US FROM ENJOYING AUDIO IN GAMES, BECAUSE THEY WANT TO KEEP MUSIC TO THEIR GREEDY SELVES! DAMMIT!
Do you have any links discussing DRM & removal of the HAL (Hardware Acceleration Layer) from Vista? It would be an interesting read.
It certainly isn't Creative's fault for removal of hardware acceleration for most 3D games. Wow, it's the greedy Hollywood *******s... BUT, creative still should of had a more complete driver for release. They should of had CMSS working, bass boost & bass redirect options, etc!Message Edited by Cornflake on 02-2-200706:9 PM

  • No driver for Airport Exteme WLAN card working in Windows Vista (32bit)

    Hello,
Fairly recently I had an Airport Extreme card installed into my Mac Pro. Of course everything works on the Mac side and the card appears with the following info:
Wireless Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x8E)
    Wireless Card Locale: USA
Wireless Card Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (5.10.38.35)
    Current Wireless Network: XXX
    Wireless Channel: 1
Under Windows Vista Ultimate (32bit) the card comes up with the following hardware ids:
    PCI\VEN14E4&DEV_432B&SUBSYS_008E106B&REV01
    PCI\VEN14E4&DEV_432B&SUBSYS008E106B
    PCI\VEN14E4&DEV_432B&CC028000
    PCI\VEN14E4&DEV_432B&CC0280
The Leopard DVD does not seem to contain any compatible drivers for Windows using Bootcamp for this card. I am really struggling to find a driver that works. The card is listed as 43XX in OS X, and by the Windows hardware ids it seems to be a 432B? I've tried third party drivers for this Broadcom chipset range and nothing will work and even detect a compatible card installed.
Surely there is a working Windows Vista driver for this Broadcom chipset? Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

thanks for replying..... I'm using the latest driver from the site X.0004 for the x-fi xtremegamer fatality pro. The Sound card is detected just fine. The card shows up correctly, but its just that there are no sound coming out from any of the line out. If I play an mp3 or a movie, I can see that the bar is moving under "Sound" in control panel. I've tested it using headphones etc. The card itself is fine because I tested it on windows xp, well the store where I bought it from did. So its not a hardware problem.

  • Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor Vista Driver - When is this comi

When is the Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor vista driver coming. This is becoming ridiculous...

To add to Cat's message ... some customers are finding solutions (for the video functionality):
I have used the follwoing procedure to install a working configuration of the Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor in a clean install of Vista Ultimate.
() Download from Creative Labs (US) site: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ the following files:
    (a) Creative Sound Blaster USB Series Windows Vista Driver .00.0060 - USBVS_PCDRV_LB__00_0060.exe (from the Vista section)
    (b) VidCap for Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor .00.000 - A2VX_PCVDE_L9__00_000.exe (from the WinXP section)
    (2) Use WinZip or WinRAR to open the file (b) and extract the folders \DrvInst and \Vidcap into your Vista Downloads folder.
    (3) Connect the Video Editor to the power supply and a video source; connect the USB cable to your PC. Ignore the "Found NEw Hardware" dialog that pops up.
    (4) Doubleclick on file (a) to install the Creative Sound Blaster USB Series Windows Vista Driver, and follow prompts as required; accept all defaults. After install is complete, let the PC reboot.
    (5) After rebooting, in the "Found New Hardware" dialog that appears, select the options to search for a driver, don't go online to search, browse for a driver and point the search at the \DrvInst folder you extracted in (2) above. The USB video driver will be installed from the \DrvInst\Video\Driver\Win2k.
    (6) After the video driver is installed, doubleclick on the Setup.exe file in the \Vidcap folder you extracted in (2) above to install the Vidcap application.
    (7) Setup the options in Vidcap, and run a test recording.
    Happy capturing under Vista.
