Wine C++ Runtime Error

Hi,
I'm running 64 bit arch and installed the lib32-wine package from AUR. I've loaded up Steam and tried to play a few games. HL2 runs flawlessly, however counter strike or any other source-based games will give me the error after a few minutes of playing:
runtime error R6025
- pure virtual function call
I've googled all over the place and it seems like people have been having this issue for a number of years with multiple games, but I haven't found a fix. Does anyone have any insight to this issue? I would greatly appreciate it!

I had this problem as well, but it seems to be fixed after I downloaded http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=18679 and followed the instructions inside, as per the thread http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7698. Hope this helps

Ppcs5 on win 7 (64bit) runtime error message when starting PPRO

TS2363 Why do I get a runtime error R6034 message when installing iTunes 11.1.4.62 on my WIn XP (SP3) system?

iTunes prompted me to download and install the newest version of iTunes (11.1.4.62). I followed all on-screen prompts. iTunes installation gets to the very end, then I get a popup stating that I have a Runtime Error # R6034 "an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Okay, I am doing that. FYI, I am runnning Windows XP (SP3). Oh, and BTW, now iTunes is COMPLELETY unusable, and I cannot synch any of my multiple iOS devices. Help please!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Runtime error installing Win 7 driver for OJ ProL7680

I purchased a new Dell computer running Windows 7 64 bit. I am trying to install the full featured Windows 7 compatible driver (OJ Pro L7X00_FULL_14.exe) for my OJ Pro L7680. After extracting the files from the download I get the following message: "Runtime Visual C++ Library error: This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way."
I can currently print, using a generic HP driver, but I cannot scan or use any of the other features that I could when this printer as installed on my previous computer using Win XP. The AIO L7680 is useless to me without the full features.
I have it coonected to my computer using a USB. My computer is connected to a home net twork to which my wife's laptop is connected by wireless. We share the printer.
If anyone has a sure solution, I would be glad to try it.

I had the same problem (runtime error with Microsoft Visual C++ library) using Vista (x64), OfficeJet Pro 8500, here is what I did:
1, uninstalled all HP products
2, removed all the HP services manually
3, downloaded and run the HP scrubber (v14)
4, run CCleaner (v3.05) (http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER)
5, restart
6, I had version 14 of the installer (OJP8500vA909_Full_14.exe)
7, unpacked it to a directory
8, it had an error relating the missing HP service
9, found and run two msi packages (\setup\devicediscovery\DeviceDiscovery.msi and \setup\network64\Network64.msi)
10, executed setup.exe (\setup\setup.exe)
Everything seemed fine until the step 10/12 (removing unnecessary components...) when the installer crashed. It was the HPZscr40.exe.
After debugging I got this error:
Unhandled exception at 0x000007fefed425d9 (advapi32.dll) in HPZscr40.exe: 0xC00000FD: Stack overflow.
and the stack trace was the following:
advapi32.dll!HandleToKeyName() + 0x39 bytes
advapi32.dll!Wow64RegOpenKeyEx() + 0xe0 bytes
advapi32.dll!RegOpenKeyExInternalA() - 0x9ee9 bytes
I am not sure if this matters, but I have the MS C++ library 2010 (x64) installed (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632).
It's very disappointing that there is always something wrong HP software.
Anyway, I hope it helps someone, and someday they will fix this.

I have a visual C runtime error stopping my pse elements 10 running in win 8.1. I am not a techie so am looking for a very clear way to resolve teh issue without needing too much technical ability. Can anyone help?

I had been using my elements 10 for much of the day so do not know what I have done to upset it! I was starting up again and it began to load then offered me this line of script re a 'runtime error'. That means nothing to me except that it no longer works. I have had a peek on Google and see various suggested fixes from sources I don't know whether to trust. Also some fixes give a list of do's that to a non techie like me are not followable. Can anyone offer me some understandable guidance so I can get back to playing with my photos?

Manually reinstall the MSVC runtimes from Microsoft. This could be a compatibility issue because the installer did not install the proper latest versions.

After a restore in my pc, during the staring of windows I took a message 'run time error for visual C++' and just after that

I tried to open the iTunes but it seemed not working.
I uninstalled and tried to reinstall iTunes.
During the installation I took a message 'service "Apple Mobile Device" failed to start. Verify tat you have sufficed privileges to start system services.'
I continued giving 'ignore' but the result was not that I wished.
I applied to Microsoft and they consulted me to apply to you.
Could you please help me to solve the problem?

Runtime Error on Win. Vista

I had to download Windows Vista for school because the college of business I am attending upgraded when windows did so I got screwed. I am immediately kicking myself for uploading Vista because it is the worst product ever made. Bill Gates convinced me to buy a iBook as my next computer. My iTunes will now not open and I have tried EVERYTHING that this site has told me. I even tried calling Windows themselves but they were going to charge me $59.00 to call them. I keep getting the same error message reading:

We cannot know. Your information is hugely insufficient. Check Your Windows Event Viewer and tell us the "fault module" plus provide detailed specs for your computer. Runtime errors usualyl mean that A DLL is missing, a security tool is blocking critical functions or that the processor is not compatible in teh first place. Just as well this could be a driver issue with your SATA bus or whatever.

Adobe Illustrator CS2 Runtime Error

I have Adobe Creative Suite 2.0 and am running Windows 7 on my PC. Although all the other applications in the CS2 suite launch successfully, I receive a Runtime Error with each attempt to open Adobe Illustrator that reads:

Crystal report runtime error on print preview

Hi everybody
I've built a CR report based on a 'SAP B1' connection type
I pick my tables from the DBO menu and not from the B1 tables menu (not the one which is organized like the SAP main menu)
I open CR application and the report
I click on the print preview button
I enter the parameter
I enter the Company user password in the "Enter connection details below' window
After this step, I've often have a C++ runtime error

I do not understand what makes tihs error to appear or not.
The only solution I've found so far :
Re open the report
Go to DATABASE Manue / Set Datasource location
I change the location of all the table to a new connection source.
environnement : win XP SP3 and CR 12.2.0.290 or Win 2008 serv and CR 12.2.0.290

Please do a fetch from the database and then change the information in DRM console for the CSS parameter. This error I received only due to the CSS details in DRM 11.1.2.

TS3694 latest upgrade of iTunes causing all sorts of problems - won't even install. Message says "Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe

Can't contact Apple iTunes support as they want a serial number (I assume from my iPhone where I can't find it, let alone read it as all the printing is so small). Any help appreciated.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:

Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
