WIP JOB START DATE

Hi,
I need to understand the concept of WIp Job Start date. Also i am interested in when the start date for the job got Grey out (Not allowed to Change.)
Please help.
Thanks,
Kaustubha

Also to add to the avinash reply the WIP job start date can be altered manually till the job is not closed. Its default today date when you are creating job manully. Based on the date start date giving and the routing assigned the end date for the job is calculated.

  • ASCP Job start date

    Hello,
    I want to start my all jobs from a sepcific date.. Can anyone tell me that how can I do it..
    For Example: I am running plan at 12-jan-2012.. but I want that ASCP start plan my jobs from 20-jan-2012..
    Also note that in forecast of Finished good, I have entered 1-feb-2012.. But as sub-assy date is earlier than FG.so i want to start my sub-assy from a specific date...currently, ASCP start my job from 12-jan-2012.
    Kindly help me out
    Regards,
    Ali Raza

    Hi Partha, Thanks for your helpful reply!
    I have got your point..but still have problem that if i delay a job of a sub-assy by a week, then it will be delay all the time which is not required.. See below example:
    FG: A (forecast daily qty:1000) 7-feb-2012 to 28-feb-2012
    Sub Assembly: B
    Sub Assembly: C
    Plan start date: 31-jan-2012 14:18
    Currently sub-assy jobs are being start at the same time above..If i will delay sub assy 'B' by a week.. then in the mid of plan, it will also be delayed..
    Also If i will delay jobs. then it is not necessary that i will launch plan every time before a week... so i need some permanent solution. that start time of jobs start from particular date or time (say: 3-feb-2012 in above condition).. and ASCP start plan jobs from that particular time.. how can we do this???..
    Looking forward to your response..

Then click button Start condition, and there is a dialog which name is Stat time will pup up. And click button Date/Time, there will be a new button appears in the bottom. Click Restrictions, You will see a new dialog box which name is Star Date Restrictions. There is a field which name is Calendar ID in selection portion Factory calendar.
    Is there exist one report to check all the jobs calendar ID instead of to check one by one?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    please have a look into table TBTCO, restricting by field CALENDARID.
    I hope this helps. Kind regards,

  • WIP Job Start quantity in Fractions in Discrete Manufacturing

    Hi,
    Can we create a discrete job with start qty in fractions(say 0.5 or 0.299) with UOM as RL and perform all the WIP transaction accordingly?
    Any help or pointer on this regard will be of great help,
    Thanks,
    Avinash

    Hi Avinash,
    Yes, you can create the discrete job with start quantity in fractions. System does allow for the same.
    But as a process, Discrete jobs are created in integer numbers because we don't create the partial assemblies in fractional quantities.
    If your assembly is something which is going to be stored with fractional quantities then you may try creating the discrete job for the required quantity. The material requirements for the components will be calculated accordingly.

  • Actual start date in WIP

    Hi all,
    I want the following confirmation whether the data picked up on the "original WIP job quantity" and "original WIP job start date" fields are truly the original ones and not any subsequent amendments as both of these fields can be amended after the original release.
    Here for the original WIP job quantity Iam considering the start quantity and for the original WIP job start date Iam taking the minimum transaction date from the mtl_material_transactions table.
    Thanks in advance

  • Automatically update WIP start date

    Hi,
    I have a discrete job created from Sales Order. If the Sales ORder schedule ship date is changed, does it automatically change the WIP start date?
    Is there a provisiion to auto update any of the WIP job dates from the Sales Order? Any inputs would be helpful. Thanks.

    Right now users are manually updating the status to Complete(irrespective of quantity complete of not). They want this process to be automated for the jobs after three days from scheduled start date, since they have so many in a day. For automation is there any available functionality or If write a custom program to update the status what other tables do i have to update other than wip_discrete_jobs?
    Any ideas, appereciate your help.
    Thanks.

    Hi Experts,
    Is it possible to reverse the WIP of Production/Process Order at month starting date eg. 01/07/09. Posting date & Document date should be: 01/070/09.
    In my current project production is batch management system. Some of the batches start at month ending days (Eg. 29/06/09) for we calculated WIP at dated: 30/06/09.
    My Client wants to reverse that WIP next day, month starting hours Eg. 01/07/09 but while reversing the WIP system is posting the WIP reversing doc. posting date is 31/07/09.
    Same batch which started production on 29/06/06 is closed at 03/07/09 as well as goods received same date. FG Stock A/c updated in accounting books.
    At the same day If I print my trail balance system showing the Stock value double (WIP stock as well as FG stock)
    First Month

    Second Month
          WIP Reversal Posting date:31/07/09 by system     : 50000/-INR

  • OIM 11g - User Not enabled After the job "enable user after start date"

    Hi,
    I have a future hired user in OIM whose start date is set in OIM. The status of the user in OIM is 'Disabled Until Start Date'.
    After the start date has passed and the scheduled job 'enable user after start date' is run, I see that the user is still in the status 'Disabled Until Start Date'. I re-run the scheduled job 'enable user after start date', this time manually, still the state of the user remains unchanged.
    Please help in troubleshooting as to find out the root cause of the issue and a workaround/solution, if possible.
    This issue is intermittent and has happened with quite a number of user. Any pointer would be helpful.
    Regards,
    Sudipto S.

    I agree with Nayan.
    One alternative approach can be to write your own custom scheduler which can overcome the limitation of OOTB scheduled job 'enable user after start date'. Let the OOTB job get executed first. After it, your custom scheduler should fire a simple SQL Query:
    SELECT USR_KEY, USR_STATUS FROM USR WHERE (USR_START_DATE > SYSDATE -1) AND USR_STATUS='Disabled Until Start Date';
    //Means those users who are supposed to get enabled today and are still not yet enabled and are in 'Disabled Until Start Date'. May be 2-3 user keys at max will come...
    As you said it happens only intermittently and not for all users... So, let the OOTB scheduled job take care of most of such users... And after it has finished, if any user still remains in 'Disabled Until Start Date', your custom scheduler should enable it via using tcUserOperationsIntf.enableUser(userKey);
    Using API is always better than database update... Because APIs trigger downstream provisioning workflows as well and not just updates OIM Database...
    Keeping your constraints in mind, I think it is the correct answer.

  • Request vs Actual Start Date in Scheduler Jobs

    Hi, I want to run a PL/SQL block, all days, at 1:00 AM
    I've defined the following scheduler job, in a new (and empty) Job Class:
    <font face="Courier New">
    SQL> select job_name, repeat_interval, job_class, job_priority from dba_scheduler_jobs where job_class = 'MY_NOCHE_JOB_CLASS';
    JOB_NAME...........: UNIFICA_CLIENTES
    REPEAT_INTERVAL....: FREQ=DAILY;BYHOUR=1;BYMINUTE=0;BYSECOND=0
    JOB_CLASS..........: MY_NOCHE_JOB_CLASS
    JOB_PRIORITY.......: 1
    </font>
    However, the process is starting later, for example:
    <font face="Courier New">
    Request Start Date....: Nov 10, 2010 1:00:00 AM -02:00
    Actual Start Date.....: Nov 10, 2010 4:06:33 AM -02:00
    </font>
    Why is the difference between Request Start Date and Actual Start Date ?
    Is there any way to enforce the start of the Job at any time ?
    OS: Solaris 10 8/07 s10s_u4wos_12b SPARC
    DB: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bit Production
    Thanks in advance

    The database is not down since at least 2 months
    <font face="Courier New">
    SQL> select LAST_START_DATE from DBA_SCHEDULER_JOBS where job_class = 'MY_NOCHE_JOB_CLASS';
    LAST_START_DATE
    ────────────────────────────────────
    17-NOV-10 04.21.00.447083 AM -02:00
    </font>
    Any advice ?

  • Ability to set same Start date for two different discrete Job in ASCP

    We have two ATO Items and these to be built & shipped together which have different leadtimes, How we can have achieve same start date when we release from ASCP.
    E.g: ATO_Model1*24234 SO Line 1, the rolled up LT=10Days
    ATO_Model2*325325, the rolled up LT=3
    So, under normal scenario ASCP will suggest two different release dates based on LT. So, I would like to start both Job togther considering the max leadtime.
    Hoping for your expert advice.
    Thanks

    Such as
    10/31/2012 11:55:03 PMThen, as Hoek says, you don't want TO_DATE. For example:
    WHERE   TRUNC (start_datetime) = TRUNC (SYSDATE - 7) or the more efficient
    WHERE   start_datetime >= TRUNC (SYSDATE - 7)
    AND     start_datetime <  TRUNC (SYSDATE - 6)Also, it doesn't look like the EXISTS sub-query is corelated to the main query. That's almost certainly a mistake.
    If you're still having trouble, post your revised query, a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements). Point out where that query is givimg the wrong results, and explain how to get te right results.

    It all starts with the client software running on each location’s POS server. This client is a small application that is set up to execute using Windows Scheduler. • BOM Error - WIP job not Releasing

    Hi,
    I've a issue with a BOM because of which all WIP job for the assembly are failing, I'm not sure what the issue is, Please find the explanation below.
    WIP job fails when try to Release it and also when I try to simulate the wip job using standard Simulate WIP job form, and click component button, I get this message.
    'if the component is assigned to non-existing operation 1, then the same component but of different basis type cannot be assigned to minimum operation, because the merging of the component quantity would fail'
    The component for operation 1, I dont see it being used again in the BOM for operation 1 with different basis type, not even end dated operation.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Sandeep,
    Thanks for responding. Yes, I do see a phantom supply type. I flipped "Inherit Phantom Op Seq" (BOM > Setup > Parameters) which was checked to unchecked but I encounter same error when I try to simulate wip job.
    I'm attaching data for ope seq 1 here, I'm showing end dated too. There are several other operation sequences too though.

  • WIP Job Workbench - Required, Available & Overload Calculation for Resource

    If I go to WIP>Job Workbench and search for a resource and turn on Gnatt Chart, I see these three values in the bar graph.
    Required, Available & Overload
    How these are calculated? Is there any base table where I can find that and any logic to derive these.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, the Required and Available time is calculated from start and end date on jobs in WIP. and the particular resource assign on the jobs with their usage and quantity of job.
