WIP Operation Resources - APPLIED_RESOURCE_UNITS, APPLIED_RESOURCE_VALUE ?

What do we mean by these columns functionally. I have gone through ETRMS, but couldnt understand them. Can anyone explain what these columns mean functionally.
These columns are present in WIP_OPERATION_RESOURCES table.
Also what is the difference between Assigned Units and Applied Resource Units?
Thanks and Regards,
Upendra
Edited by: upendra.pisupati on Dec 20, 2011 10:46 PM

Hi,
These columns talk about how many resources are actually consumed during production run of the job.
For example, if you have defined routing to consume 2 Hrs of resource on item basis at operation 10,
(in resource master, say cost of resource is $15 / Hr)
and if you have created a job for 7 Ea of finished good and you are moving 10 Ea of from step 10 (Queue) to 10 (To Move)
Applied Resource Units will be 7 Ea * 2 Hrs / item = 14 Hrs
Applied Resource Value will be 7 Ea * 2 Hrs / item * $15 / Hr = $ 210
Additionally, you can also have manual resource transactions, due to which applied_resource_units and applied_resource_value can get updated.

  • Query to find attachement information for wip operation seq number

    Hi Experts,
I am working on EBS 11.5.10 and database 9i. I want table link to find attachments for particular operation sequence number.
    Navigation:
WORK IN PROCESS --> DISCRETE JOBS --> OPERATIONS --> ATTACHMENTS(IN MENU YOU CAN FIND).
In operations screen, for each operation sequence number, you can have attachement. In attachement, i want to pick the remarks column.
    Table: OPERATIONS -- WIP_OPERATIONS
    ATTACHEMENTS - FND_ATTACHED_DOCS_FORM_VL
    REMARKS - fnd_documents_short_text
Link between FND_ATTACHED_DOCS_FORM_VL and fnd_documents_short_text is media_id. But i am not able to find the link between wip_operations and fnd_attached_docs_form_vl.
Could anybody help me how to get attachement data for a particular operation sequence number.
    Thanks in advance.

    The link is
    entity_type = 'WIP_DISCRETE_OPERATIONS' and
    pk1_value =wip_entity_id and
    pk2_value = operation_seq_num and
    pk3_value = organization_idHope this answers your question,

  • How to make Routing Operations mandatory in WIP Job

We have multiple operations for routings but in the WIP jobs users are able to skip operations. Can we make these operations mandatory in some way so users cannot skip these? e.g we have routing ABC with three operations 10 , 20 and 30. In the Job users are able to Skip Operation 20 and complete the job.

    Hi,
If your requirements is only to make sure that even if user skip the operation in between while performing move transactions, corresponding operation resources has to be charged means you can follow what Karthik has explained.
Or irrespective of resource charging if you want that system should not allow users to skip the operations for WIP jobs, there is no facility in WIP module. But we can overcome this in R 12 if we use Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
In MES we have a setup parameter as Enforce Sequencial Move, which makes sure that user performs move transactions in sequence.
    Hope above clarification is useful.

We checked produciton order status TECO (CO03)
but WIP is not equal to zero (KKAO)
Also, we found production order status show "rel" status in KKAO.
Why order status in CO03 is TECO, but show "REL" in KKAO?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
We also had similar issue that the WIP is not equal to zero even though the status of the Process Order is DLV/TECO. When we analyzed, we found that few of the operations/resources/activityeps are not yet confirmed in the same month for the order. These operations/resources/activityeps are confirmed in subsequent month, then WIP got automatically Zero.
Also refer the SAP Note 530563 - WIP calculation: Status DLV and TECO. Which provide the details for how WIP will get calculated.

    Purpose
Oracle Bills of Material - Version: 11.5.9
존재하는 costed resource는 Resources Define Form(BOMFDORS.fmb)에서
Resource를 'Outside Processing' checkbox의 checking하여 outside processing
FRM-40200 Field is protected against update
    Solution
Costed check
만일 오직 BOM_OPERATION_RESOURCES의 조회 count > 1이라면, 당신은 쉽게
    operation(s)에 add 할 수 있다.
    select tablename, count(*) from (
    select 'cst_resource_overheads' tablename, resource_id from cst_resource_overheads

  • 'Resource Usage' field in Planner workbench

    Hi,
Currently the 'Resource Usage' field in Planner Workbench > Item > Routing Operation > Resources doesn't not display decimal places.
What do I need to change in profile option or preference or anywhere else so that atleast 1 place after decimal is display. In the database column this field has data with decimal places.
    Thanks

    Hi Geert,
    Thanks for the advice.
I put '1' decimal place in Capacity Plan but it didn't work. Then I entered same value in all decimal places in all tab in Preferences, then it worked.

Some light on Variant Configuration in Detail.
    The procedure is as follows:
    1. Create a Material - KMAT type with Item category (002)
    2. Create Charateristics in CT04 - Zbike, where in values mention the Color of the bile like Red, Blue etc
    3. Create another characteristics in CT04 - ZPrice, where directly go the additional data tab and maintain the table SDCOM and field VKOND (ABAP Dictionary it will ask for)
    4. Assign these two characteristics to a Class in CL01 - ZBikeclass ( Type 300) in characteristics tab page.
    5. Then go to CU41 Configuration profile select the material and enter the description click on the class assignment ie assign Zbikclass.
Now go back to CT04 - enter Zbike -go to values- select Red- go to extras - Other Dependencies - Select Procedure enter in front 10 write - $self.ZPrice='Red' and save
    6. Now go back go to extras - Other Dependencies - assignments and assign relationship ( by default it will come just save)
    7. Now select Blue- go to extras - Other Dependencies - Editor - Select Procedure enter in front of 10 write - $self.ZPrice='Blue' and save
    8. Now go back go to extras - Other Dependencies - assignments and assign relationship ( by default it will come just save)
    9. Now go to VK11 - Enter VA00 (Condition)(For Std RVA001 Pricing Procedure) - enter variant Red and Blue give the rates accordingly and create the sales order.

  • Difference bet ween Fleet Object and Production Resource Tools

    Hi all,
Please give me the difference between Fleet Object and Production Resource Tools in Plant Maintenance
    Thanks in Advance
    Thanks,
    shriraam

    Dear,
    Production Resources/Tools (PRT)
Unlike machines and fixed assets, production resources and tools (PRTs) are movable (not stationary) operating resources that are required to perform an activity and can be used repeatedly. For example, PRTs include documents, engineering drawings, jigs and fixtures, and measurement instruments.
    Fleet Management
Here can map the vehicles as equipment master records and enter vehicle-specific additional data, which is displayed in the system on two additional tab pages. This means that you can now specify important fleet data such as the license plate number, load volume, consumption data, fuel card number, engine data, or fuel type and so on directly in the equipment master record.
You can also perform maintenance planning for a fleet object. You can make the date of the next scheduled service dependent on the distance

  • Production Orders without Operations

    Hi All,
lately we are seeing production orders in APO without operations/resource. We see this happening once we make change to production orders in ECC. Has anyone seen this issue? we have implemented report as per OSS note 918648 to provide a list of all the inconsistent orders. As a manual work around, we re-select the SOS ( Re explosion) to fix this issue. But for orders that have already started we are unable to domake this change.  Note that these orders are not corrected in Compare Refresh report or OM17.
Any similar experiences with resolution are appreciated.

  • Resource utilization

    Hello,
    i have problem :)
    I have ROUTING - TEST, that uses resource A1 - 2 hours/item (scheduled).
    Resource A1 described as:
    - working hours - 8 hours/day;
    - units - 20.
I make Discrete Job for TEST assembly, and set quantity 100.
    Problem description:
Scheduler uses only 1 of A1 resource, and operation "doing very long".
If i start this job today, i complete this operation 100*2/8 = 25 days.
I can do, that system use all of resources (A1-20 units) and do operation faster?
    (100 quantity of assembly/20 units of resource * 2 hours/item= 5 quantity/resource * 2hours/item = 10 hours of resource usage. If i start job today, i complete this job tomorrow.)
    Regards

    Andrius
The Routing for an Assembly is where you define the Resources the Work Order uses. If the work order consumes two resources, both resources exist in the Routing. If you want only one resource, go to Routing window (in BOM) and delete the Resource you don't want.
After that, all work orders for this Assembly will use only one Resource.
If that doesn't work, send me an e-mail with print screen of Bill of Material, Routing of the item, and Work Order (buttom Operations > Resources).

    Ricardo Cabral

  • Examples of resources, departments, routings

    Hi,
I am looking for examples on how to set up resources, departments, and routings for capacity. I am really having a hard time trying to figure out how to do this. I'm not sure whether i need to break the resources down to people, machines, and time; or make it the number of people for a duration of time.....
I'm not sure how to tie it all together.
Is there documentation of examples for this anywhere, or can someone please share their setup?
    Thank you very much
    Suzanne

I had the same problem at first....
There are three levels to a routing when it comes to departments
    and resources.
The top level is the Department Classes (many departments to
department classes), then there is Department (many resources to
    departments). Department Classes are options.
In our example, you will have to create two resources in the
Resources form. Then in the Department form associate the
    resources. This is all setup.
Now when you defined the routing, click on the operation
resources button, add the machine resource, units and time, the
second line is the people resource, unit and time (per person).
If three people run the machine, the machine resource should
have the run rate for the machine but the people resources
should have a units of 3 and 1/3 of the run rate. This will
    then cost properly..
    Hope this helps...

  • Serial control in wip discrete jobs

    Hi gurus,
i had created a discrete job with serial control enabled for components.
but when trying to query for job im unable to get it.
so whats the mistake i did?
when going thru oracle white papers they mentioned to change profile option
TP:WIP Operation backflush setup to online processing mode.(for having serial control in job)
but i cant able to get the profile option in wip responsibilty.
will u pls guide what are mandatory steps for building discrete jobs with serial control and to perfor move transactions?
    waiting for solution pls.

    Dear Mr.Riccardo
I would like to bring to your notice a document from Metalink. It says that we cannot do move transaction of Serial controlled Items in Desktop forms.....
Subject: Is Serial Number Association Functionality Only Available Using Supply Chain Mobile Applications?
    Doc ID: Note:265512.1 Type: HOWTO
Last Revision Date: 01-APR-2004 Status: PUBLISHED
The information in this article applies to:
Oracle Work in Process - Version: 11.5.9
This problem can occur on any platform.
    Goal
Is the new functionality of Serial Number Association only available through Mobile Applications?
    Fix
This functionality provides support for standard discrete jobs with or without a routing.
The User Interface for this functionality is via Mobile Applications
Serialization can be activated within a job...this can be for entire job or beginning at
a specified operation. This new feature is optional. It is defaulted by org parameter and controlled at the job level. The user will need to define the default to steps for the moves.
When turned on, then when Jobs are created automatically ...via CTO or Planning, the serial will be turned on.
The current functionality of serial number generation and uniqueness is used. Auto-generation and association at the time of job creation via Mass Load is added with this functionality. Also import of serials from 3rd party systems is supported.
The serial association can occur anytime during or after job creation. Users can use pre-generated or on-the-fly serial numbers. This association is also not tied to job quantity and is changeable until assigned to a specific unit.
Once the job is 'Serialized', you cannot transact this job through any of the Desktop forms. A new Menu structure is added in the Mobile Applications called 'Serialized Assembly and Material Transaction'.
Users utilize the mobile pages under this menu to perform serialized move or completiontransactions.
These assembly items for which the serial numbers are associated at the time of creating the wip job itself can be transacted only through Mobile Supply Chain Applications (MSCA) .
