Hi
I have looked more into this.
If I use the import package with the option "Merge data values" it works fine.
I can also use the clear data package fine with no problem.
I only get this error when i say "Replace & Clear Data Values" when using the import package.
This means my data is ok, my transformation is also ok.
I'm using BPC 7.5, has anyone had a similar problem?? I also tried using BPC 7 import package, still get the same error.
Any ideas is appreciated.

  • Import error - key cannot be null

    We upgraded to v7.5 (MS) back in December with no major issues, and everything has been functioning normally. But, a few days ago I tried to run an import package (we get our actual data into the program by creating a file from Oracle then importing it). I used our usual Transformation file, and was about to validate the data file. But, when I went to import the file it failed and said "Key cannot be null. Parameter name: key". Can somebody tell me what is causing this and how to fix it?

    Hi Shawn,
    If you are using CSV file for data upload, Try this and let me know if it works:
    1. Go to the last record in your Row and Select the entire Row next to your last record.
    2. Press "Shift", "Control" and "Down Arrow" key and delete the entire selection. It will not have any data anyways.
    3. Go to the last record in your Column and select the entire Column next to your last record.
    4. Press "Shift", "Control" and "Right Arrow" key and delete the entire selection.
    5. Save the file and try uploading it again.

  • Exception: Error decoding message (Key cannot be null)

    Hi guys,
         Coherence 3.3.1/389
         .Net API 3.3.1.2
         I've wrote small invocation task, which collects the info about cluster members, stores it to HashMap and return it as result. This is the code:
         NamedCache cache = CacheFactory.getCache(sCacheName);
         CacheService service = cache.getCacheService();
         Cluster cluster = service.getCluster();
         HashMap res = new HashMap();
         Set members = cluster.getMemberSet();
         Iterator iter = members.iterator();
         while(iter.hasNext())
         Member member = (Member)iter.next();
         res.put((Object)member.getProcessName(), new Integer(member.getPort()));
         As you can see if member.getProcessName() returns null, then null is placed to HashMap.

  • Impdp errors with ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into

    Hi Experts,
    I have very intresting situation when I use impdp to import table back to DB.
    Environment:
    Database Server: 10.2.0.4 Enterprise
    OS: RHEL 5.5 64-bit
    We have a table and it's size is 350+ GB and so to reclaim space I want to perform expdp/impdp operation. When I following below steps:
    1) expdp table
    2) drop table
    3) impdp full table
    It works like a charm and I am able to reclaim 83% space and table size shows about 20GB.
    But when I follow below method:
    1) expdp table
    2) truncate table (To save some time not to import indexes, stats, constraints , etc)
    3) impdp table
    I get following error:

    expdp and impdp operations should not be executed as SYS - try SYSTEM account instead. See first Note section here - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14215/dp_import.htm#sthref243
    Pl post the complete expdp and impdp commands used, along with a description of the table for which you encounter this error.

  • Help with Detail entity Insert with row key null cannot find or invalidate

    Hi,
    My Problem:
    I have created a form in JDeveloper ADF. This form is based on the Table Name IT_HARDWARE. The IT_HARDWARE keep track of all the hardware and it is in the relationship with the IT_SYSTEM table, IT_LOCATION, EMPOYEES. So the IT_HARDWARE has a FOREIGN KEY from IT_SYSTEM (SYS_ID), IT_LOCATION (LOC#), EMPLOYEE (EIP#).
    When I create a form to insert data into this form, I receive message "Detail entity ItHardwareInsert with row key null cannot find or invalidate its owning entity."
    I tried all possible to understand what is causing this and I can't find it. Can someone help me?

    Than you for the link, I appreciate it. I kind understand the root of the problem, but since I am new to JDeveloper, I am getting trouble to solve the problem. I am going to read and understand what is going on. Thank you for the link.

    Hi,
    I assume this is a child entity in a composition association. So when you create the rows for the child entity do you populate the parent's reference key ?
    You can use NameValuePairs
    NameValuePairs nvps=new NameValuePairs();
    nvps.setAttribute("ForeignKeyReference", value);
    createAndInitRow(nvps);

  • Detail entity Location with row key null cannot find or invalidate its owni

    I have a simple parent child relationship generated in ADF BC. It's 1 to many...a Work Request can have one or more Locations. If I turn on Composition Association in my assoc definition, I get "oracle.jbo.InvalidOwnerException: JBO-25030: Detail entity Location with row key null cannot find or invalidate its owning entity." The error occurs on the CreateInsert for the Location entity. I've spent hours looking at other solutions and posts about this issue to no avail, including attempting both methods at the below post.
    http://radio.weblogs.com/0118231/stories/2003/01/17/whyDoIGetTheInvalidownerexception.html
    When I turn off Composition Association and I only add one Location to the Work Request, both the CreateInsert and the Commit work properly. However, if I add a second Location, I get a database constraint violation because ADF BC tries to commit the Location before the Work Request. I have verified that the Work Request Id is populated properly on the Location object, so I'm at a loss at this point. I'm on 11.1.1.3.

    Here's the answer in case someone else burns a day on this like I did. Turns out it's a bug (SR submitted), and one that's easy to recreate. The problem is that the parent object isn't "initialized" until after one of it's setters are called. So, what was happening was that I was invoking CreateInsert on the parent, then CreateInsert on the child, then setting properties on the child. So, since I invoked setters on the child first, the child is initialized first, and is thus ADF BC atttempts to insert it first upon commit. The strange thing is that the child had the correct ID for it's associated parent in the logs. Anyways, here are the steps to easily recreate:
    1. Model a simple parent child relationship (1 to many, not sure if that matters).
    2. Generate the ADF BC components (entity, assoc, vo's, and view links).
    3. Ensure that Composition Association is checked in the Assoc object.
    4. Add the parent to the app module, then add the child nested below it.
    5. Create a new task flow and drop CreateInsert for the parent object onto the flow. Make this the default activity
    6. Drop the CreateInsert from the child object onto the task flow, and link it as the outcome of the parent's CreateInsert
    7. Drop a page fragment onto the task flow that is bound to the parent object, and make it the third step in the task flow.
    8. Drop a commit onto the task flow as the forth step, and place the button on the page that invokes the action corresponding to the commit.
    Run it. As soon as the CreateInsert is hit for the child, the error is thrown.
    Another associated bug is that (appears to have the same culprit) the child will not be inserted unless one of it's attributes is set (note that you have to turn off Composition Association to get the above error to disappear). However, the child will not be inserted into the database unless one of its setters are invoked.
    **The workaround is to use CreateWithParams instead of CreateInsert in order to create the parent object, and pass in at least one parameter to set an attribute on the parent (even to blank). The same must be done on the child unless one of it's setters are invoked.
    Note that we're using SQL Server 2008 R2. This appears to be a problem with ADF BC and not with the target DB platform, but I have not tested with Oracle.

    the readable descriptors had been changed to code consisting of some upper case letters and/or single symbols!
    So now I cannot tell which is the symbol  iCal.plist
    Thanks for leading me so far, but how do I find that plist for my calendar?

  • Cannot choose library with option key

    Well, guess it's my turn...
    Am afraid I've done something stupid.
    At current, my most immediate problem is that I cannot choose which Library to open. Even when I press the Option key, iPhoto just opens normally without asking me which Library I want to use.
    There are no more photos in it however, as I deleted those.
    It's probably best if I explain how I got to this point.
    I bought a 2nd hand Powerbook a few weeks ago (PB 12", 768MbRAM, 60GB, cd burner, dvd reader)
    Wanted to re install OS as it was 2ndhand and have everything 'new'.
    However, by the time I could do this, I had already imported quite a lot of photos and keyworded them. So as part of my backup before Erase&Install, I burnt all these to cd, which came to 3 CD's.
    Upon completion of new install, I tried to re import photos. Got the photos double in the library and with no key words. Decided to empty it again and look into a solution later. When checking, when I opened iPhoto from the CD, the key words were there, no problem.
    As did not have access with my PB to Internet lately, this took some time.
    In the meantime I had to empty my camera (Canon powershot sd100) and therefore down loaded those.
    Almost forgot this until I yesterday I finally got round it.
    After searching on the discussions, found something similar and tried that: insert CD and then drag the Library to the desk top, with the aim of joining them together there.
    It told me there already was a Library (this was the one with the last batch from the camera).
    Then burnt these pics/ library as well, with the following result: mixed up key words - its only a few dozen pics though, so this is not a major problem, can reassign key words easily (btw, have delivered a bug report Old Toad :))
    When trying to copy Library nr 1 from the discs, it told me "A newer item named 'iPhoto Library" already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it with the older one you are moving?" STOP REPLACE
    As I have the new pics that are in there on CD, choose replace.
    When finished copying, opened iPhoto with this library (Library 1) with the
    option key, and found out the following:
    have in the meantime upgrade iPhoto with a newer version...
    when I then say yes, upgrade all pics come in nicely, but without the key words... checked, there are no key words on this CD either, so that's normal.
    So, went on with 2nd disc (which HAS the key words on the CD).
    Had to rename the first one I dragged in, done.
    Then just before this 2nd disc finished copying, it tells me 'The operation cannot be completed because an item with the name dir.data already exists.'
    Clicked ok, let it finish, then deleted this Library nr 2 again, moved Library nr 1 to a different folder and then repeated dragging Library 2 to the desk top.
    No problems this time.
    Opened iPhoto with the option key, checked Library No 2, shows ok, including the key words.
    Checked back with opening Library no 1. Fine. Then moved and renamed Library no 2 in preparation for dragging disc 3 to the desk top.
    After some thought, realised I didn't know how to join the 4 libraries I had by now. Seen how Library no 1 did not have key words, figured I could open with No2, then simply import No1 into no2.
    However, could not get No2 to open again.
    I now know this is because I renamed and moved it after having opened already another library, but last night I didn't.
    Tried to use option key while opening, but this didn't work, it did not ask me to choose a Library, but just opened with No1!
    To try to solve it, tried deleting No1 from Finder, then from Library in iPhoto, even emptied the Trash (I felt secure because I have it all on CD).
    Then I tried again to open Library No2 while using the Option key when opening iPhoto. No chance to choose library again.
    It just opens, shows "loading photos" and then comes up with a black screen.
    Tried to delete iPhoto and re install it.
    No difference. The new install even has the key words I created in it ea

    Hi Marlies,
    So basically what you have are 4 libraries with different names all in the Pictures folder.
    You want to join the libraries to create one library.
    Problem: iPhoto is being a jerk and not letting you choose a library, even after you have chose each of the libraries before and they all worked.
    Possible solution: Delete the Preference file and try again
    Preference file
    Possible solution: Download iPhoto Library Manager to mage the 4 libraries or even merge them
    iPhoto Library Manager
    iPhoto Library Manager documentation
    this page will show you everything you can do with iPhoto Library Manager.
    You can also try iPhoto Buddy
    Possible solution: You can open one library and then use the menu command "add to library" .
    So you open one library, then use the "add to library" command and then navigate to one of the libraries and choose it. Do this for each of the libraries. What will happen when you do this is outlined on Page 2

  • SSIS package is failing in SQL agent job with webserviceTaskException: Service Description cannot be null

    Hi All
    we are using webservice task in our ssis package and the package is successful in SSDT . when we created SQL job using that package it is failing with  webserviceTaskException: Service Description cannot be null.
    we have given access to web service for ssis proxy account  and have access on wsdl file folder  and given access to temp folder .
    what would be the reason for the failure?
    Surendra Thota

    Hi Surenda,
    As per my understanding, the error message is too general. In order to troubleshoot this issue, we should view the detail error message about this job. For more details, please see:
    Troubleshooting Jobs
    SQL Server Agent Error Log
    Besides, since when you call a Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package outside a SQL Server Agent job step, the SSIS package runs successfully. However, if you do not modify the SSIS package, then execute it via SQL Server Agent job step,
    it fails. The scenario always related to the user account that is used to run the package under SQL Server Agent. Please also verify that the account has access to the Web site or to the Web Service Description Language (WSDL) file for HTTP connection manager.

  • ClassNotFound Exception integrating Coherence and Eclipselink with composite key entity objects

    I am hooking up coherence as an L2 cache for eclipselink in weblogic 12c (using the latest released weblogic and eclipselink 2.4.2.v20130514-5956486).  I have my application war and coherence gar packaged in the same EAR file.  For Entity Objects with single primary keys (Longs) coherence integration works as expected.  However I have several multi-part key Entity Objects that use an IdClass to represent the key.  When these objects get serialized, coherence throws a class not found exception.  I'm assuming its because the cachekey used is an instance of my applications IdClass, and the weblogic classloader doesn't have access to this.  Since eclipselink hides the cache integration with coherence, I cannot pass my classloader off to coherence (as i do with other caches i'm using directly with coherence).
    How can I get around this problem?
    I saw this option in ExternalizableHelper.xml, but modifying it directly had no effect:
