Wl-plugin sp4: ap_proxy deadlock warning

Running weblogic 8.1 SP4 & Apache 2.0.54 on Solaris 8. Following the upgrade of the WL-plugin mod_wl_20.so to SP4 version we are getting intermittent warnings in the apache error log:
[warn] (45)Deadlock situation detected/avoided: ap_proxy: couldn't create the lock
This is logged when an apache instance is restarted and then intermittently at seemingly random intervals.
Havent found anything on this in any apache or WL newsgroups. does anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks

Thank you Russell. I was pressed to get an Apache load balancer up in front our our BEA server. I realize that I did not provide very much information but you pointed me in the exact right direction.
<P>
I am running Apache/2.0.52 that came with Solaris 10 on a Sun Fire V240 dual processor machine. I was getting the error message:
<P>
<i>[Mon Oct 17 11:36:29 2005] [warn] (45)Deadlock situation detected/avoided: ap_proxy: couldn't create the lock</i>
<P>
about every 30 seconds or so. To be honest, I wasn't sure if this was coming from a problem with Solaris, Apache, or the BEA plug-in. I couldn't seem to find much information from Google, Sun, or BEA in the short amount of time that I had to research the problem. I found that turning off one processor seemed to stop the messages so I went forward with that to meet my deadline. Now I am building Apache/2.0.54 from scratch on another Solaris 10 Sun V240 dual processor machine and found the same problem.
<P>
I just added <b>AcceptMutex pthread</b> into my httpd.conf file on my new server and so far the messages have stopped.
<P>
Thanks again,
<BR>

  • How do I disable the "some plugins are out of date" message

    I am running firefox 3.6.3 on a powerpc mac laptop. There are no more upgrades to either firefox or any of the plugins it is using. It's a powerpc and the current updates of the plugins all require an intel based mac. I constantly get the message "some plugins used by this page are out of date" message above the screen, or Firefox disables plugins because it says they are a security risk. I don't care. This is an old computer that would work fine if Firefox would just stop trying to upgrade either itself or its plugins, or try to warn me about something that can't be upgraded and that I don't care about. MAC rule number one: The user is in charge. How do I fix this annoying and PC like feature?
    In the future if Firefox is going to continue to have this "feature" it should keep track of what kind of computer it is running on and what what updates can and can not run on the computer it is running on, or give the user the option of turning off not only the messages but the whole plugin update function.

  • How to remove unwanted plugins (and no I don't want to read any unrelated articles that never answer your question)?

    I want to clear out the unwanted plugins in Fire Fox . One plugin even has a warning about not using it (Java Deployment Toolkit). But every time I ask "how to remove a plugin?" , I am redirected to an article that doesn't answer the question. And then the circular argument begins again without ever actually answering the question.
    IS IT NECESSARY TO UNINSTALL FIREFOX TO REMOVE A PLUGIN??????

    Plugins like ex Flash and Java etc are not installed in Firefox like Extensions and Themes are. They are on system and Firefox has found and is making use of them. This is why you can only activate/deactivate which tells Firefox to make use of that Plugin on system or not.

  • [SOLVED] Cheese missing gstreamer plugin: videobalance

    after a recent system update, cheese no longer runs properly... it will load, but have a big error icon in the middle (similar to the Wrong Way street sign) with this written above:
    One or more needed GStreamer elements are missing: videobalance.
    Please refer to the help for further information.
    thing is, most menus are greyed out (including the preferences option) and help is missing... no one else has posted about this here (searched for videobalance) so I'm wondering if this is a unique problem (once again) that I am experiencing...  Any insight would be appreciated...

    It's working here too thanks to that workaround, I got I686 architecture by the way.
    Here is a BASH script, based on that workaround:
    #!/bin/bash
    # Removing the current blob registry, or whatever it is.
    rm ~/.gstreamer-0.10/registry.*.bin
    # Uncomment if you don't like the old backups too.
    #rm ~/.gstreamer-0.10/registry.*.bin.tmp*
    When you run cheese again, this debug message will be printed:
    (gst-plugin-scanner:16822): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstice.so': libssl.so.0.9.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    ** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GstObject)
    sys:1: Warning: specified instance size for type `GstMsGSMPayload' is smaller than the parent type's `GstBaseRTPPayload' instance size
    (gst-plugin-scanner:16822): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_element_register: assertion `g_type_is_a (type, GST_TYPE_ELEMENT)' failed
    The next time Cheese is loaded it will be clear.

  • How can I avoid the plugin check page?

    Every time I open Firefox now, I get a second tab taking me to the plugin checker page. I updated all the vulnerable ones, and I just don't want to see the thing every time I open firefox! Can I disable this annoying feature?

    I uninstalled Viewpoint Media Player (and the AOL IM client "AIM", since apparently that's what forced Viewpoint Media Player on to my system.) Viewpoint Media Player is responsible for the plugin called "MetaStream 3 Plugin r4", and I believe this plugin is triggering Firefox to open the plugincheck page. It is not enough to disable the plugin, it must be uninstalled. For me, after uninstalling Viewpoint Media Player, the "plugincheck always opening" problem then went away.
    I see, however, that you do not have this plugin ("MetaStream") in your plugins list. So it may be that there is some other plugin of yours that is causing this tab to pop up. Go to Tools->Addons->Plugins(tab), and look in the list for any plugins with a red warning icon. If there are any, this is probably the plugin causing the problem.

  • SaveBeforeExit plugin configuration

    Hi all,
    I need a help with SaveBeforeExit plugin configuration.
    My scenario:
    I have a tabular for where one column is defined as popup LOV. I would like to use a SaveBeforeExit plugin to display a warning message when there is some not saved data on the page.
    I use a jQuery selector as "Disable Warning Selector" to disable the warning message when something is changed in existing row and user clicks on LOV arrow button (this works).
    table.report-standard aBut this approach does not work when the new row is created. When I create a new row and put some data to some column and then click on LOV arrow button then the warning message is displayed. I have also tried to change the event scope of dynamic action from Static to Dynamic, but without success.
    Could you please help me how to solve this issue?
    My test appl..

    As browser I use IE 8.
    Thanks in advance!
    Jiri

    Since i have an IE8 here i can reproduce your issue. Works in FF without issues. I've been looking at it for a while, but i'm honestly getting so enormously frustrated by the crap that is called IE8. Debugging is such, SUCH, a pain. Even with the dev console open i'm not getting debug from apex.debug. The row that is added by "Add row" is not present in the pathetic piece of code that ie8 pretends is a DOM inspector. The console's inability to show objects. Sigh.
    I can only guess it has something to do with no warning disable being run on the newly added row (and anchor tag). Not sure if this is a ""bug"" in the plugin or not.

  • Clientless SSL RDP Plugin Issues with Java 1.7 update 45

    Hi All,
    It appears the latest Java update (1.7 Update 45) has caused some issues with the Cisco RDP plugin for Clientless SSL VPN.
    When attempting to run the plugin to connect to a host, the following error message is receieved:
    I believe this may be because the plugin is unsigned which on the previous version of Java seemed to cause pop-ups prior to running. This error seems to occur in both IE and Firefox. The OS is Windows 7.
    I can confirm that the previous version of Java (1.7 Update 25) worked OK with this plugin apart from the warning mentioned above.
    Does anybody know of a work around or a fix for this? Does Cisco have to update their plugin for this to work on the latest Java version?
    Regards
    David

    Hi Jouni,
    Thanks for the reply. From the thread you linked:
    The workaround posted in the Cisco  Bug is to uncheck the setting "Keep temporary files on my computer"  which is found in the Java Control Panel under the General Tab /  Temporary Internet Files / Settings ...
    This workaround has worked for me with Jave 7 Update 45 on both PC and Mac.
    I've just tested this and it has resolved the issue for me.
    Thanks!

  • Flash does not work on youtube after update

    I use Firefox on Fedora 14 x86_64. I do not have the 32-bit applications or libraries installed. I have been having the problem for a while. I saw it with FF 3.6.14, FF 3.6.15, and FF 4 beta. I do not know if this is specifically a FF issue. Firefox operates the Adobe flash module with NS Wrapper and the problem seem to be with NS Wrapper. I do not know how the FF and the NS Wrapper projects are related.
    The problem is that 90% of the time FF fails to startup the video player plugin when I visit a page with video. It plays normally once it starts but usually it just doesn't start. When it happens, there are usually no graphics drawn for the video object (no black box, no thumbnail, no video player gadget, just a big empty space). When I run from a terminal then I get the error messages listed below.
    I am using the recent 64-bit flash release. flashplayer10_2_p3_64bit_linux_111710. This worked before and it works with the Konqueror browser.

    Flash plugin crashes every time it loads.
    Flash works fine here on Firefox and Safari (actually 10.6 users shouldn't be using Safari as Apple doesn't support it anymore)
    You said you reinstalled OS X, but that only does OS X unless you first wiped the drive of all users (and their data!) and programs.
    So your issue is likely a corrupted Flash user cache file or user permissions issue in your user account.
    Since you uninstalled and reinstalled Flash and the problem continues, that would suggest it's the cause.
    It can likely be confirmed by logging into another user account.
    You can delete your Flash cache file in the Apple menu > System Preferences also use the OnyX routine in the Step by Step fixes should clear other cache issues.
    Also run through this list of fixes to eliminate other issues (like failed user account permissions) as you generally tune up your machine.

  • Stop firefox opening multiple update tabs automatically

    Hi there I'm having trouble with firefox opening up auto update tabs by itself. When you are on any site after about 5 seconds a new tab opens requesting you to auto update my video player. Then 5 seconds later another tab opens saying the same thing. and again. and again and so on perpetually. If left unattended for two minutes 85+ tabs will have opened. I am running firefox 30 on windows 7. I have found a temporary fix is to reset firefox. This works for a few days and then the update will occur 5-10 times in a session and then stop. Then a few days later it reaches critical mass and hijacks firefox, tab after tab after tab.
    I would like to have gotten a screen shot but the reset lost the tabs. I don't think the problem will have shown in the troubleshooting diagnostic (mainly due to the reset). I have gone through my history and have managed to get the common URLs of the tabs.

    During all this going on is a program file download/install box is appearing asking if I want to save the file. I thought if I downloaded the file and ran it then the messages would disappear. The file was a media player file associated with multiple advertising addons that would be installed if you did a typical install. I did a custom install and only installed the player. This did not stop the problem. The tab thing remained. I have uninstalled the program. The problem existed a few weeks before I did this so installing was not a trigger for further attacks.
    I have discovered that resetting firefox also breaks a few links. I have to re-allow popups and re-enable my java plugins. I am enrolled in a tafe course and it also runs a diagnostic. This is what it checks.

  • Stop firefox from pausing a tab when going to another tab or window

    I am running firefox v5.0 and I have noticed that ever since v4 when I open another tab, the other tabs are paused and when I have an upload (ie: a video to youtube) going in another tab and I want to browse the internet using a new tab/window, it is stopped. I tried looking through about:config but I couldnt find any thing to disable firefox from pausing tabs.

    I uninstalled Viewpoint Media Player, which fixed my problem with the plugincheck tab always opening. Viewpoint Media Player is responsible for the plugin called "MetaStream 3 Plugin r4", and I believe this plugin is triggering Firefox to open the plugincheck page. It is not enough to disable the plugin, it must be uninstalled.
    Since it seems you don't have the "MetaStream 3 Plugin", it may be that some other plugin is causing the plugincheck tab to pop open. Try going to Tools (menu) -> Add-ons -> Plugins. Look through the list of plugins, and see if any of them have a red warning icon next to them. If one of the plugins has a red warning icon, it may be the plugin responsible for triggering the opening of the tab. Try uninstalling that plugin, or updating it to a newer version.

  • Customizing rulset of flexPMD 1.2

    Hi,
    I am totally new to FlexPMD and iam happy that i got succeeded in executing FlexPMD commandline tool version 1.2 for my flex project and take care of the warnings.
    I just wanted to customize or add some extra rules in addition to the existing ruleset available with version 1.2
    I read the instructions given in http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexpmd/Get+Source+Code to download the source code and followed as per mentioned.
    I got the entire source code (including branch, trunk,..etc)..As I mentioned before since i wanted to customize the rule available with version 1.2, i thought  i need to edit the project flex-pmd-ruleset of 1.2 which is found inside "trunk" folder.
    Before doing that, Iam supposed to make the environment ready as mentioned in http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexpmd/Developer+Documentation.
    while i tried to execute the mvn package command into flex-pmd-parent folder, i did not have internet access to my machine..
    is the command internally access any resource from net in order to build the project?
    i got the following error msg after a long list of warnings......

    i also tried opening the project files in eclipse galileo without executing mvn package command ...i noticed many errors in import statements where the actual package referred does not even exist in the code...pls refer the attached image..is the source code downloaded is unstable...
    where am i going wrong...pls help me with a detailed procedure to set the environment so that i can customize the ruleset...

    The documentation has not been updated since early days of planning, I am not even sure if it is still valid as in my experience it is hardly ever used.
    If you are version 11.1.2 then I would assume it would be the file in the planning product installation directory.
    Cheers

  • Embedding connect asset (captivate project) in web page

    How do I reference a Connect address (asset) such as from the Connect server that don't end in an html file using the embed command in html so that the content shows on my web page?
    a.    I tried the flash object and movie in dreamweaver CS3 but I couldn’t get it to work.
    b.    If I upload the swf files to the same server as the web page I can use the embed command to push the swf files on a web page. I bypass the html page that makes the plugin announce a security warning.
    c.    If I do that the FLVs don’t play using Captivate 3 on an http server.
    d.    My Captivate projects works when I play the URL from the Connect Server and the FLVs play but I can’t embed them in a web page. Can I see some sample code.

    Hi Shekhar,
    Thank you for your response, this was helpful, however the problem remains as to how the video is seen in the frame. Unless I specify a height for the iframe, (which I don't want to do as it need to be responsive) the height of the captivate project has huge borders, margins which I can't seem to get rid of when it is part of an iframe?
    Please find screen capture of what is happening
    Kind Regards

  • Text Problem - 'Editing or Rendering the text layer will cause the layout to change'

    Hello all,
    The problem I'm having is that when I try to edit a text layer, the layout of the layer changes completely - I have a grey warning triangle in the affected layer thumbnail that states the following message when I hover over it :
    'Font is present on system but requires a layout change'
    When I double click to edit the text layer, the following warning dialog pops up:
    'Editing or Rendering the text layer will cause the layout to change'
    I'm forced to click 'okay' to proceed which is when the layout of the text layer changes completely! Obviously this has massive implications for branding and page consitency!!
    Now even if I have to do this the long way round, which means rebuilding each individual text layer for every single document, there is another problem, it appears that after I click 'OK' photoshop distorts the text! This means that I can't increase or decrease the font size to match it up! Same font, Same height, same AA, same weight, different circle radius!
    Any help is massively appreciated,
    I'm using CS5 64bit Cloud edition on Windows 7, I've already tried updating and reinstalling Photoshop but it doesnt remedy the problem, I've reinstalled a sample batch of the fonts affected and deleted any plugins
    GULP!

    That warning is pretty clear - you don't appear to have the font on your system. Not sure what otehr answer you are looking for. The layout changes beyond that could be indicative of a million things like the original source layers having been heavily customized with manual kerning, used a different version of a seemingly similar font, have been created with glyph substitution on a system with a different language and whatever... Unless you mean you created the files yourself just yesterday and the warning appears despite nothing have changed, everything works as intended. If you think something is up, you need to provide more info.
