WLAN automatic enable/disable?

Hello:
I have a WCS 4400 system and run 3 seperate WLANs: 2 WPA secured networks and 1 open, using LDAP authentication.
Is it possible to schedule, or script, one of these WLANs to automatically disable at 8am and enable at 2pm each day?
I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered before, I tried searching the KB and google for quite some time, but to no avail. Thanks VERY much to anyone who is able to help in this!

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it! Unfortunately I'm not sure how to implement this.
I see an option in WCS for Scheduling a start time for a WLAN, but no option for a stop time. Or is there a correcsponding CLI command that does this?
As far as using active directory to implement the scheduled enable/disable I know WCS is linked to my AD through LDAP to allow user control, but I don't know how to use AD to control login times. Can you give me any pointers on how to do this, or point me in the direction of the appropriate manual.
Thanks again for the help so far!

  • Automatically enable disabled jobs again

    Hi, in our company some jobs are executed during night which should be finish by next morning due to DB performance during daytime.
    But sometimes they didn't run during night and the job status is DISABLED next morning.
    Next morning all jobs cann be enabled manually without an error message.
    Questions:
    1) why do they get status DISABLED?
    2) is there a possibility to change the status of a job back to SCHEDULED automatically to force executing the jobs during night?
    Thank you very much for helpling!

    Hi, thank you very much for your very quick answer!
    - yes, we are talking about DBMS_SCHEDULER jobs created with exec DBMS_SCHEDULER.create_job ...
    - we do not get status BROKEN - the status is DISABLED, and ALL jobs didn't run during nighttime at all
    - there are no error messages reported selecting * from ALL_SCHEDULER_JOB_RUN_DETAILS where JOB_NAME = '<jobname>' and LOG_DATE > trunc ( sysdate - 1 ) order by LOG_DATE desc;
    - also no error messages selecting * from ALL_SCHEDULER_JOB_LOG ...
    You propose to execute following code all day and nigtht to 'wake up' jobs with status DISABLED:
    Begin
    For i in (select job_name from dba_scheduler_jobs where state='DISABLED')
    Loop
    dbms_scheduler.enable(name=>i.job_name);
    End Loop;
    End;
    We tried this solution already - using this code in a new job.
    But it didn't work as I wrote already that ALL jobs have status DISABLED next morning - also this new job.
    Therefore this new job didn't 'wake up' the other jobs with status DISABLED.
    How do you think it is possible to execute this code as well?
    Starting it in a SqlPlus session?
    That means that this session may not be closed - if closed, the code isn't executed anymore!
    And what about DB shutdown and startup? Then the SqlPlus session with this code has to be started manually again -> this is not a good solution.
    Is there another opportunity to execute this code in a better way than using a SqlPlus session?
    Thank you!

  • Why can I not disable the guest user in the 10.8.2 update? I have never enabled the guest user, but after the update, it was automatically enabled with a "managed" tag. It is not selectable even after entering my admin password to unlock the options.

    Why can I not disable the guest user in the 10.8.2 update? I have never enabled the guest user, but after the update, it was automatically enabled with a "managed" tag. It is not selectable even after entering my admin password to unlock the options. I was able to select the account under "parental controls", but again, could not delete it. Why Apple? Why?!!????

    SOLVED Ok. I actually was able to disable it. I had to actually log in as the guest user to make it accessible in the preference window. Then I disabled it and logged out. Apologies if this was obvious for some people, but I have had some sort of issue with something every update since Snow Leopard.

  • How to enable / disable SSRS Parameter

    Hi
    I want to enable a parameter called "start date" (type is date) when another (value from dropdown) parameter is selected
    Say for an example, i have below 3 parameters
    1. drop down which 2 values called "vtextbox","vdate"
    2. start (data type is date)
    3. finish (data type is date)
    when i select "vdate"value from the dropdown 2nd and 3rd parameters has to be enable
    similarly when i select "vtextbox" value from the dropdown 2nd and 3rd parameter has to disable
    I have searched many forums every one says this is not possible in report manager interface
    But this is possible in custom code
    please make a note all three parameters are independant
    It would be great if any one provide the custom code for same
    Regards
    Santosh

    Hi itsmesantosh1982,
    According to your description, you want to use a parameter to control enable/disable other two parameters. Right?
    In Reporting Services, when we create a parameter, this parameter has been enabled. The only way you want to disable the parameter is deleting it. In this scenario, disable the two parameter is same as selecting all values in these two parameters. So
    we can just modify the default values in 2nd and 3rd parameter instead of using cascading parameter. We can create a dataset, put in the query below:
    IF @Param='vtextbox'
    select distinct startdate from [table]
    else
    select '[value]'
    The [value] can be any value which is not existing in [table]. So when you select 'vtextbox', the default value will be all values in the table. If you select 'vdate', it will need you to select value automatically because the return value is not existing
    in the table. This can be an effective workaround for your requirement.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
    Best Regards,

  • Bridge is very slow when WLAN in enabled

    It is nearly impossible to work with Bridge when WLAN is enabled. At every single action Bridge freezes for several seconds. When I disable the network connection the problem disappears, but this is not an acceptable workaround, because I need to connect to network and Internet.
    It seam Bridge browses continuously the folders in the network and just stops working when the network resource cannot be reached.
    I saw a lot of discussions about that problem in different forums, even with older versions. Adobe seems not to be interested to solve the problem.
    I work with Windows 8.1 on a Surface 3 Pro. No other applications shows this behavior.

    You are correct.  You are NOT addressing Adobe in these user forums.
    Just a clarification:
    BOILERPLATE TEXT extracted from the FAQ:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/375816?tstart=0
    Do not be abusive or aggressive in your tone
    An aggressive, demanding, accusatory or abusive sounding post (like this one of yours here) will often evoke an aggressive or abusive and unhelpful reply (the unhelpful part coming right up ).
    Remember, you are not addressing Adobe here in the user forums.  You are requesting help from volunteers users just like you who give their time free of charge. No one has any obligation to answer your questions.
    The volunteer contributors chime in when and if they have an answer for a question.  In this case, I'd guess that not too many users use or have used Photoshop and/or Bridge on a Surface Pro tablet.  Personally, I've never even touched a tablet or iPad myself.
    Bridge is just a file browser, nothing more and nothing less.  In its first few iterations it was just Photoshop's File Browser and that's exactly what it was called.  Then the marketing folks at adobe came up with the totally artificial notion of the "suites", renamed the file browser "Bridge" and extended it to other applications.  Ever since then, Bridge has not been particularly robust when working over a network of any kind.
    The "suite" concept is a fabrication of Adobe marketing and bean-counting types.  The engineering teams are totally independent of each other, they are not only in different buildings but in different cities and states of the American Union, even in different countries.
    The fact that they have little if any communication among them is highlighted by requests occasionally made in these forums by top Adobe engineers to let the other teams know when there are problems in one application that impact our workflow in another one.
    Bridge, of course, has a separate engineering team.
    Sorry, that's all I can say.

  • Is it possible to enable / disable personal hotspot through MDM?

    Is it possible to enable / disable personal hotspot through MDM?

    If you are using the Smartbar you just enable or disable the relevant Menu Item using SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY and that will automatically enable or disable the corresponding Button.
    (you will need to use the Menu module menudefs.mmb which is a MMB version of the standard menu and smartbar and from that you can get the names of all the menu items.)
    If it is a normal toolbar canvas with buttons on it you can use SET_ITEM_PROPERTY to enable and disable the buttons

  • Programmatically enable/disable application scrollbars

    Hi,
    At present I need to modify some of our custom tools in LabVIEW 2010 to work on lower resolution screens. The automatic rescaling functionality is not really an option as it distorts most UI features. I have looked at adding a vertical/horizontal scrollbar to the application and this appears to do what I need reasonably well. Unfortunately for those who do have the high resolution screens, I don't really wish for the scrollbars to be enabled. Is there a way of programatically enabling/disabling the vertical or horizontal scrollbar of an application? I can see this being possible on the controls, but haven't found the option for the actual application.
    Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  • How to enable /disable MWI ?

    Hi,
    I want to write a small application to enable/disable IP Phone lamp. But confused by how to enable MWI(Message Waiting indicator). TAPI ? AXL ? or some others , which can implement it . Could you give me some direction, thank you !

    I never checked what happens on a database level. However, for any actions that have a direct influence on a device, writing directly into the database is the wrong approach.
    As an example: if you set a forward (callforward all) via database (and not AXL), calls may well be forwarded, but the phone's status won't be adapted (so you don't have the callforward indicator and no information about the callforward). If you set the callforward via JTAPI or AXL, the phone's status will also be updated to show that it has been forwarded.
    When you configure a phone, you'll see the same thing in many cases.. especially in older CCM releases, you were often told that you need to reset the phone to apply a change you've made. In newer versions, this is often (but not always done automatically.. you'll see the phone restart after pressing update).. it's the same thing here.. you write into the database, but then you also have to apply those changes to the phone (one good example is changing a line label.. you won't get the label to change on the phone by just writing to the database.. you have to restart the phone for it to load the new label name).
    Even if you need to get the mwi status, JTAPI will do that for you (CiscoAddress.getMessageWaiting - and to set it, it's CiscoAddress.setMessageWaiting). Since you need a CTI command to set the MWI, you can as well resort to CTI to get the MWI status as well and don't bother with the database.
    fkcallingsearchspace_mwi is definitely not it though - I can tell you that without looking at the diagram since fk_anything is a foreign key and you have an uuid value in that field. The mwi status would be a boolean since it can have just two values. In fact, it's numplan.ismessagewaitingon but as I said.. with any element that has a direct influence on a phone's appearance or behavior, you cannot just change it... at best you need a phone reset. And if you do it with JTAPI (and probably TAPI too.. I can't be sure because I've never done TAPI and hope to never have to), you can change the MWI status on the fly without having to restart the phone, which is much more elegant.

  • Automatic enabling of communication channels

    Hello,
    does anybody know if there is a way to enable/disable communication channels automatically using a batch script or anything similar? Background of my question is that I have got some JDBC sender adapters polling all the time. It would be very convenient to be able to control them in a programmatic way.
    Kind regards,
    Heiko

    Hi Vishal,
    thank's for your help but that's not exactly my requirement. The idea was to have some kind of trigger on the DB starting, when data comes in, the commincation channels automtically. It's a little tedious to do all these things manually. Other messaging systems (e.g. MQ Series) provide a scripting environment to do these things.
    Kind regards,

  • OIM Java API silently ignores accounts operations such as enable/disable/revoke

    Hi
    I am facing a strange situation here.
    My Java app (standalone) was able to set provisioned accounts to "enabled" and then disabled these enabled ones.
    Now, provisioned accounts can't be enabled anymore.
    Commands issued from Java API using ProvisioningService such as "enable", "disable" and "revoke" are being simply ignored. No exception raised, no changes.
    Am I missing some step? Do I need to run any scheduled job in order to "commit" these changes performed from the OIM Java API?
    How do I debug this?
    TIA

    Sorry for my ignorance, but where's this "resource history" thing in OIM?
    Here's what I am doing.
    First, I use the Self Service UI to provision an account. This account belongs to an application instance backed by the OIM Webservice connector.
    I suppose it works because after requesting the account, the connector creates it and returns back a unique ID (which is assigned to the account uid) and the account shows up in "my accounts" tab as "provisioned".
    So far, so good.
    THEN
    I run my standalone java app from outside OIM, which uses OIM Java API. This app connects to OIM as xelsysadm, and I search for the account and do something like this
    public void enableAccount(String uid) throws AccessDeniedException, NumberFormatException, AccountNotFoundException, ImproperAccountStateException,
        GenericProvisioningException, InvalidUidException {
      Account a = findAccountIdByUID(uid);
      if (a != null) {
        System.out.println("enabling "+a.getAccountID()+":"+a.getAccountStatus()+":"+a.getAccountData().getData().get("UD_AVNC_USR_LOGIN")); <<< here I confirm I am changing the right account, it is
        ProvisioningService provService = oimClient.getService(oracle.iam.provisioning.api.ProvisioningService.class);
        provService.enable(Long.parseLong(a.getAccountID()));
      }else {
        throw new InvalidUidException(uid);
    then I expect to refresh "my accounts" tab and see my account status changed from "Provisioned" to "Enabled".
    I don't know if these screenshots may help, but anyway
    These are the tasks for the provisioning process. I believe the one we're interested here is the #22
    these are the status definitions for the process. They're also created by default during the OIM webservice connector module import process I guess
    these are the task to object status mapping for the task #22 below, also created automatically I guess.
    I am a little bit confused because the OIM manual -- http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/user.1112/e27151/myaccess.htm#OMUSG3166 -- says the user can just perform the operations on the accounts, but says nothing about any kind of restriction. I mean, what are exactly the state transition for accounts (the default one)?
    TIA

  • Enable/disable fields in Workspace form

    Okay here is my scenario. I need to disable some fields on a form depending on which user logs onto workspace to open the same form.
    1. User1 logs onto workspace and opens leave request form, fields at the top of the form are enabled for the user to fill out, bottom fields which are for leave request administrator to fill out are disabled but visible.
    2. User1 fills out top portion of leave request form and completes form. Workflow sends form to leave request administrators "To do" list in Workspace.
    3. Administrator opens up submitted form in Workspace and sees User1's filled out data on the form and the bottom fields are now enabled for administrator to approve or dissaprove. Bottom fields only include two check boxes, two text fields and one date field.
    Now how is this done? I am sure their maybe scripting involved? if so what is it and at what events in the form? Is this whole process done in the form or through Admin UI or Workebench as well? Please help!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Rahat,
    You can use the same form and enable/disable some fields according to the user's role with only little scripting. Review the steps the below:
    1-First place a hidden field ("user_role") in your form
    2-Insert a script object into your form onder "Variables" in object hierarchy and write a script for enabling/disabling the fields (regarding the value of "user_role")
    3-On the initialize and change events of the "user_role" call your script object
    4-On your process design, put a SetValue service before User tasks. In the asssignment you should set the desired user_role to the form, so that the script is triggered in your form and the fields are enabled/desiabled

  • Enable/disable/defaulting the radio button in tabular Form

    Hi friends,
    I have one radio button column in my tabular form with 3 values for it.
    <li>FC
    <li>BC
    <li>EC
    I need to enable/disable the radio buttons according to the position of the user.
    If the position of the user is CEO means,
    then FC radio button has to be checked defaultly and also for him he needs to have BC and EC radio buttons to be enabled.
    If the position of the user is between(1-4) grades means,
    then FC radio button has to be disabled, but BC radio button has to be checked defaultly and also for him he needs to have EC radio buttons to be enabled.
    If the position of the user is between(4-6) grades means,
    then FC, BC radio button has to be disabled, but EC radio button has to be checked defaultly.
    How i can achieve this radio button enabling/disabling and defaulting it dynamically according to the user.
    Where i need to specify this kind of restriction inorder to work for me in my application.
    Brgds,
    Mini

    Hi Bob,
    thanks for your reply first, and your suggestion too.
    I tried in the below manner on the lov definition of my radio button and it hide/shown according to the user who logs into the application.
    SELECT 'FC' d, 'FC' r FROM DUAL WHERE lower(:APP_USER) = (select lower(user_name) from apps.xxhy_ams_details_v where upper(job_name) = 'CEO')
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'BC' d, 'BC' r FROM DUAL WHERE lower(:APP_USER) IN (select lower(user_name) from apps.xxhy_ams_details_v where grade_name
    BETWEEN 1 and 4 OR lower(:APP_USER) = (select lower(user_name) from apps.xxhy_ams_details_v where upper(job_name) = 'CEO'))
    UNION ALL
    SELECT 'EC' d, 'EC' r FROM DUALBut how i can check the radio button defaultly according to the user who logs in .
    <li> If the employee with the position CEO logs into the application means, he needs to have FC to be checked defaultly.
    <li> If the employee with the grade between(1-4) logs into the application means, he needs to have BC to be checked defaultly.
    <li> If the employee with the grade between(5-12) logs into the application means, he needs to have EC to be checked defaultly.
    Note:
    Instead of hide/show the radio buttons defaultly whether it is possible to enable/disable the radio button according to the user who logs into the application.

  • Enable/Disable Column in a Advanced Bean Table

    Hi,
    I have 2 columns that needs to be enabled/disabled on a standard oa page PO Lines summary page.
    I went through couple of blogs/forums and found 2 approaches :-
    Approach 1
    1) Extended the standard VO POLinesMerge.
    2) Added a attribute column DeriveDisplayFlag of type VARCHAR2 . This call a database function and will return Y or N
    3) Added a attribute of type ShowAdditionalColumn boolean. the get method of this attribute returns TRUE if DeriveDisplayFlag is 'Y' otherwise returns FALSE.
    4) created a substitution for the custom VO
    5) uploaded the substitution to mds.
    6) copied the xml/class files to $JAVA_TOP/..
    7) Bounced entire middle tier
    8) using personalization, entered a SPEL command on the rendered property. I know rendered will hide/show the column but for time being I just want this to work.
    But this fails :-
    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Message not found. Application: FND, Message Name: FND_VIEWOBJECT_NOT_FOUND. Tokens: VONAME = XXPBPoLinesMergeVO; APPLICATION_MODULE = oracle.apps.po.document.server.DocumentAM;
    I am not aware how to get around this. Can someone help please?
    Approach 2
    1) steps 1 to 6 from Approach 1.
    2) trying to extend controller class OrderLinesTableRNCO. But have couple of questions. This iis a advanced bean table so how should i reference individual record and the column that i need to disable/enable ?
    Conceptual questions
    Also, when i am entering a new record at what point in time the 2 new attribute will derive its value? the 2 attributes are dependent on the Item number column but i have not created a dependency between the attributes and Item# column.
    Will the controller logic fire for every column while i am entering a new record?
    Thanks.

    Hi Anil,
    Thanks for the response. I have given up that i will get reply on this post.
    I have done the substitution and upload the jpx to umsing importer.
    But you are correct may be i might have done something wrong. Can you please help me. I can send you the files if you can review and let me know it will be great.
    Also, will this approach work since PO Lines is a advanced bean table ?
    One of the experts suggested to use Bound values. I am not sure how to implement it though?
    I have went and told back to my business team that I am not able to do this so now they have asked me to enable/disable columns based on a dff value on po header. I thought this will be easier by extending the controller class on PO Lines table but that too is not working.
    Can you help me please ?
    Here is my code to extend the controller class :-
    package xxpb.oracle.apps.po.webui;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.common.VersionInfo;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAControllerImpl;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageContext;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.OAWebBean;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.message.OAMessageLovInputBean;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.message.OAMessageTextInputBean;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.table.OAAdvancedTableBean;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.table.OAColumnBean;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.table.OASortableHeaderBean;
    import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.table.OATableBean;
    import oracle.apps.po.document.order.webui.OrderLinesTableRNCO;
    public class XXPBOrderLinesTableRNCO extends OrderLinesTableRNCO
    public void processRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
    super.processRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    OAAdvancedTableBean tableBean =
    (OAAdvancedTableBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("LinesTableRN");
    OAMessageLovInputBean poLineLov =
    (OAMessageLovInputBean)tableBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("XXPBSecondaryUOMLOV");

    But after selecting Yes option of the radio_button, only when user select "Other" option of the Select_List item the Text_box should be enabled otherwise it should be disabled for any of the options of the Select_list item.
