WLST script to set Server Overload and JTA settings

I need to develop a WLST script to set a Server Overload settings like Max Stuck Thread Time and JTA settings like Transaction Time out. I can do it by navigating to Server->Overload tab and Services->JTA tab in weblogic admin console but my requirement is to do it in WLST.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I know that ALSB used to provide APIs for SOME customizations, monitoring and control of services. I have not tried APIs in OSB for a long time and dont know if the APIs are still the same or if some of them have been deprecated. But I can say that the APIs for customization of end point values will definitely be available.
However, I do not think there will be an API for marking HTTPS as enabled in proxy configuration, that you will need to do using the sbconsole UI or by importing an updated version of service.
You can find the APIs here:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/apirefs.1111/e15033/toc.htm
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/admin.1111/e15867/app_apis.htm#OSBAG739
If you do need more info then search for ALSB APIs and you will get older docs but they might have more details.

  • Server Overloaded and Warning Status

    I have a WebLogic cluster, includes 3 Managed Server running on 2 separate machines (Each has 16Gb Ram and 8 CPU - Sun Sparc). Each start with parameters
    Starting WLS with line:
    /usr/jdk/instances/jdk1.6.0/bin/java -server -Xms1024m -Xmx2048m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m
    Some time ManagedServers have status "OverLoaded" and "Warning". When that happened , I stop and start server and server status return to OK.
    Checking the status with "prstat" command, I saw that java process used just from 1Gb Ram to 2Gb Ram and CPU is under 3%, very little CPU used
    What I have to do to make server return to OK status without restart?
    And how to make server running with OK status everytime?
    And How many Managed Server can I create on each machine with that hardware?
    Thank you!

    What I have to do to make server return to OK status without restart?Maybe stop some or all applications can be usefull.
    And how to make server running with OK status everytime?You must tuning the enviroment, maybe should adjust JVM parameters passed to weblogic server, check thread pools, etc. For Sun HotSpot JVM, you can use -XX:+AggressiveHeap option for throughput applications, give it a try.
    See [WebLogic Server Performance And Tuning|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs92/perform/index.html]
    And How many Managed Server can I create on each machine with that hardware?This decision depends on applications you want run, weblogic resources required, how many clients will be attended, and so on. If your weblogic server using 8GB achieves the goal, then you can setup another instance using the remaining available, and so on.
    I hope this helps.

  • How do I remove All OS X Server data and configuration settings

    My server app crashed and I deleted the app using app cleaner and removed the server file from the Library folder, owever when I try to reinstall the setup defults to the setting from the initial install.  Is there a way to remove all the stored data, profiles and OD included) as well as any configuration settings, such as those for AEBS and host name and ip address.  Essentially, I would like to perform an install that is the same as the initial, a truly cela install.  I am using a Mac Mini 2013 model as the server and MBP 15" as the main client.

    Completely clean install?  Wipe and install OS X, and then reload Server.app and configure that.
    Might want to report the error to the App Cleaner folks, too.

  • CSM : Server overload and sorry-server

    Hi,
    I have a portal of eight real servers and one sorry server, which should redirect new user to another portal, in case of an overload condition of all eight real servers. Server load is measured on each real server using a custom developed agent, which basically measures the real CPU load. If a real server experiences an overload, the local agent uses the CSM XML interface to set the maxcons value in the CSM to stop accepting new connections. However, I want to continue accepting sticky connections (request with a valid cookie). The experience shows that the CSM does accept to create new connections to real server reaching maxcons, even if a cookie exist.
    This causes a problem if we want to redirect NEW users to another portal in case of overload, but to keep EXISTING users in the server farm, even if the number of connections could increase slightly above maxconns...
    How can I solve the problem ?
    Thank you

  • Trouble with clock and date settings

    Hi Folks,
    Every time I start my G5 I get a message telling me to set the clock and date settings. I set them as requested and save them and put the little lock on them, but next time I start the computer the same message appears.
    Would anybody be able to assist please?
    Thanks in advance,

    You might need a new battery. Go to http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and find your exact model - the manual should show you where it's located and which type you need to buy. They're not expensive.

  • Sequence and Capture Settings Help Needed

    Hi there...
    Need some advice on setting my Sequence and Capture Settings in FCP 6.0.4.
    I have a Sony HDR-SR1 (AVCHD) and I know I how to bring the footage in through "Log and Transfer", but I'm not sure what I should be bring the footage in as.
    Should I capture with HDV, or can I bring the footage in as ProRes 422 (HQ)? Once captured, should the Sequence be set to HDV - 1080i/60, or should it be set to the ProRes setting? Or, does AIC still play a factor in this and I should choose that?
    Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I bring in as HDV, the file size will be very large. But if I bring it in at ProRes 422, the filesize will be smaller, but how much will I lose in compression?
    Also, does anyone know if I'm stuck shooting 1080i/60 or can I get 1080i/50 or 720p/24/25/30?

    The orginal footage is not DV, it is DVCPRO 25. I am capturing in the DV setting because of the length of the footage. The DVCPRO deck doesn't have a firewire output.

  • Printer Redirection and device settings

    I have a HP CP5225dn printer that I am redirecting in Windows Server 2008 and device settings are not populating correctly. I have defined tray 2 as 11x17on the print server and it shows as letter in the redirected printer. I have used both PCL5 and PCL6
    drivers on the client/server with no success. The only way that I can get it to recognize the 11x17 tray is to use the Easy Print driver. However, with this driver it prints extremely slow. I don't have an option to try 2008R2 to test if this would speed up
    the print process since Microsoft made significant changes to the Easy Print Driver. I have also verified that the laserjet 2000 series printers have the same issue with the redirected printer. Any thoughts?

    Hi,
    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    Does the client have latest RDC version installed and either .Net Framework 3.0 SP1 or .NET 3.5 SP1?
    Did you find any specific error in application or event log?
    First of all for slowness issue with Easy printing, you can apply this Hotfix and check the result.
    FIX: After you apply hotfix 954744, printing performance may be significantly slower when you print documents by using Terminal Services Easy Print

  • How To Set Server Start Parameters With WLST?

    I have WLST scripts that create my WebLogic 10.0 domain(s), managed servers, resources, etc. I'd like to add code to set the server start parameters but I can't seem to find the properties related to server start like root directory, java home, arguments, classpath, etc.
    The relevant piece of the script here that I have so far is:
    def createManagedServer(d,noManagedServers,managed_server_port):
    dhome = DOMAINHOME + "/" + d
    readDomain(DOMAINHOME + "/" + d)
    x = 0
    while x < noManagedServers:
    ms = d + "Man" + str(x+1)
    create(ms,'Server')
    cd("Servers/" + ms)
    lp = managed_server_port + (x * 10)
    set('ListenPort',lp)
    set('AutoRestart','true')
    set('AutoKillIfFailed','true')
    set('AutoRestart','true')
    set('IgnoreSessionsDuringShutdown','true')
    set('GracefulShutdownTimeout',30)
    cd('/')
    x = x + 1
    updateDomain()
    closeDomain()

    From WLST you can find these parameters in
    wls:/DOMAIN_NAME/serverConfig/Servers/SERVER_NAME/ServerStart/SERVER_NAME
    Of course, from your scripts you can set these parameters once you have created the managed server and getting its MBean.
    I hope this helps

  • How to use boot.properties to bypass username and password entry in WLST while connecting to server?

    I'm currently writing a script that starts managed servers through WLST and I want it to avoid having the user enter their username and password similar to how startManagedWebLogic.sh does when a boot.properties file exists in the security directory of the server.
    Currently, the way my script is set up is that it starts up WLST and enters the connect command, where it requests the username and password. The admin server URL is pulled from a config file used for the script.
    Does anyone know how to supply the boot.properties file into WLST to have it automatically use the values in there?  I do not want to have to save the values in plain text, nor do I want to have to create a new file to store them if it isn't necessary.  I've read this thread weblogic.system.BootIdentityFile not working with WLST and tried copying boot.properties to domain home but didn't have any luck and still had to enter username and password.  I have also tried looking into how startManagedWebLogic.sh pulls the values from the boot.properties but was unable to clearly identify how this is done.  Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Examples are presented here: Middleware Snippets: Starting and Stopping a Java EE Environment when using WebLogic
    The examples use the Node Manager and Admin Server to start the managed server. To start the AdminServer nmStart is used. Note that boot.properties (in ${DOMAIN_HOME}/servers/${ADMIN_SERVER_NAME}/security) must exist in order to start a server with nmStart.
    Next you can use, for example, the ServerLifeCycleRuntimeMBean to start the managed server (in this case the Node Manager and the Admin Server will make sure a boot.properties and startup.properties are propagated to the right directory ${DOMAIN_HOME}/servers/${SERVER_NAME}/data/nodemanager.
    When the Admin Server is not available you can also use nmStart for the managed server. In this case you have to create boot.properties and startup.properties yourself by using nmGenBootStartupProps and copy them to the ${DOMAIN_HOME}/servers/${SERVER_NAME}/data/nodemanager directory.

  • Problem setting the PoolList attribute in a WLST script

    Hello !
    I ran the configToScript command over config.xml which has a JDBCMultipool composed of two JDBCpools. It threw the next script to create the JDBC Multipool:
    print 'configuring resource: JDBCMultiPool/MyJDBC MultiPool '
    try:
    myResource = create("MyJDBC MultiPool","JDBCMultiPool")
    except Exception:
    # print 'This resource JDBCMultiPool with name MyJDBC MultiPool failed to be created. The script will try to get it anyways.'
    myResource = (getTarget("JDBCMultiPool/MyJDBC MultiPool"))
    myResource.setPoolList("poolCatalogos01,poolCatalogos02")
    #cmo.addTarget(clusterTarget2)
    # If this fails you will have to add this target manually from the console
    from java.lang import Exception
    from java.lang import Throwable
    try:
    myResource.addTarget(clusterTarget2)
    except Throwable, th:
    print 'Problem in adding target '+clusterTarget2+ ' due to '+th.toString()
    However when the script is executed it fails at the line:
    myResource.setPoolList("poolCatalogos01,poolCatalogos02")
    and shows this error message:
    TypeError: setPoolList(): 1st arg can't be coerced to weblogic.management.configuration.JDBCConnectionPoolMBean[]
    I have tried some other ways to set this attribute, however I hadn't had any success. If some one can provide some advice, I will be grateful.
    By the way:
    I am using a WLST version downloaded last April, of 2004.
    Thanks !

    There is a bug in configToScript that is not generating the right script for setting the Pool list. This will be fixed in the next version of wlst. Here's a workaround.
    try:
    myResource = create("MyJDBC MultiPool","JDBCMultiPool")
    except Exception:
    # print 'This resource JDBCMultiPool with name MyJDBC MultiPool failed to be created. The script will try to get it anyways.'
    myResource = (getTarget("JDBCMultiPool/MyJDBC MultiPool"))
    p1 = getTarget("JDBCConnectionPool/poolCatalogos02")
    p2 = getTarget("JDBCConnectionPool/poolCatalogos02_BEA")
    plist = jarray.array([p1,p2], weblogic.management.configuration.JDBCConnectionPoolMBean)
    myResource.setPoolList(plist)
    let me know if u see any other problems, thanks,

  • How can I set my date and time to ebay network time server?

    In the system preferences I would like to set the date and time to ebay UK time?
    I thought a quick google would be bring up the server and I can't find it.
    At the bottom of every ebay page there is a link to official ebay time
    But its not a live feed of time to get it to the second.
    I want it to be accurate so that I can use applescript to snipe bargins.
    Many Thanks
    Matt

    Just trying to go along the free route. I found Garage Buy   This doesn't work to well but lets you create an applescript and enters the auction into ical. Then you can set ical to run the script once it gets closer to the time.
    Ical only lets you set a time of a minute before the date. So you have to edit the script to add a Delay 59 to have it run 1 second before. From a few refreshes of the time page it looks like ebay time is a second behind, that could be easily be due to time to load the page. anyway i'll opt for a delay of 57secs and give that a try.

  • WLST script deploy EAR File in Weblogic Server

    Hi,
    Can any one help me providing the steps to deploy EAR file using WLST Script.
    Thanks in Advance.

    You can use the deploy command, for example,

  • Does and how osb 11g support  WLST scripts

    Does 11g support WLST scripts to import and export OSB configuration?
    Here are the old ones (as I see, dated 03.03.2009). For old 10.3 they worked perfectly.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/soa/service-bus/collateral/osbsamples.html
    In new release names of few libraries changed (e.g. from com.bea.common.configfwk_1.2.1.0.jar to com.bea.common.configfwk_1.3.0.0.jar), so I simply changed the names in my scripts to use them for 11g. It didn't work. Old scripts (with old libs) don't work for 11g either.
    So my question is does OSB still support this kind of deploying, and how can I do that?
    Thanks in advance.

    @ frf
    Is it working for you ? The scripts are running fine for me but the values are not geting changed.

  • Script to perform post server build configurations and validate settings

    Hello!
    I would like to create a script that can set numerous Windows server settings and validate that they are indeed set correctly, based on a predefined list of settings.
    For example: A third party company deploys servers from templates.  I am tasked with going through the build and verifying certain configurations and settings are set, based on my company's build request. Depending on where the server resides (physically)
    it will get specific settings.
    Is there a way to script making the correct changes and also display a validation report that all the settings/attributes that were changed, meet the expected value?
    Settings like dns settings, netbios, pagefile size/location, Terminal Server host settings(session limits etc), local admin accounts, windows features, bginfo, drive letters, drive sizes, installed ram, number of cpu cores, date/timezone, and the list goes
    on.  I currently run a few batch files to make the changes, but I'm still required to check that the settings are correct.  It would be nice to have all the batch files rolled into a script that makes changes and then runs a validation test against
    those changes. Or at the least, make changes and display all of the current values/settings so I can validate they are the correct ones.
    I have little scripting/powershell experience.  I could use some assistance to get me going in the right direction.
