Workflow for Book Assignment

I tried assigining book of business for an Account based on following condition ;
Scenario > Created a new account
Account Details Page (filled with all required details)
Territory - North America (picklist)
& saved the account record
workflow details >
Record Type - 'Account'
Trigger Event - 'When new record saved'
Workflow rule - [<Territory>] = 'North America'
Action- Assign a Book
Book Name - North America (sames as territory name)
Assignment option- Replace type
Apply To - Both
I have checked all pre-requisites for workflow and all seems ok, but still this workflow is not working. Then i tried to use the REGION field on Account details page and it worked. I am not clear why the values in TERRITORY filed are not accepted whereas for REGION its works fine. Thanks to guide me on the same..

Try with Territory Id. (Territory is a joined field)

    I am trying to build a workflow that places records into our company books according to who the user is. I think I can do this off of either the User Name or User Role.
    So far I have built the following:
    Record Type = Account
    Trigger Event = When new record saved
    Workflow Rule Condition:
    [<Owner>] = 'Rzeldin' OR 'JSchmuke'
    When I do this, it correctly routes the new RZeldin Account records, but it does not route the JSchuke records. I need include a sequence of users who belong to the book in the Rule. I have 125 user in the company that I need to route to thier particular book. How can this be done? Is there an easier way to do this that what I have started?

    So I have built this and it's not working:
    UserValue('<BusinessUnit>') = Materials Handling and Construction AND UserValue('<BusinessUnitLevel1>') LIKE "Construction*"
    I want it read: User is in Business Unit Materials Handling and Construction and also Business Unit Level 1 contains the word "Construction"
    We have several Business Unit Level 1 values with Construction, but I want it to capture them all.
    Can someone please tell me what's wrong with the expression?

    Certain points need to check :-
    1. Check the item is assigned to that org where you are creating order.
    2. Check the item attributes and warehouse default if any.

  • Book assignment using workflow

    We are using around 400 workflows to automatically assign Books for record types > Account, lead, Opportunity & activity. User are reporting performance degradation..I would like to know ;
    If number of workflow could be the reason for performance degradation?
    If its not a good practice to have so many workflows? Book staructure is flat and data only in leaves..
    Today its simple expression with trigger event "New record saved" & "Modified record saved", can change in expression help improve performance?
    Is 'Manager visibilty' has some roles to play ?

    Just wanted to update this with how I solved the issue.
    I used [<OwnerId>] = "AEOA-L1QUR"
    I included double quotes and realised i was mistakenly using the owner integration id rather than the owner id.
    When using the Alias field it appeared to work when i used double quotes, but the alias field is set AFTER the workflow fires so it is not much use!!

  • Workflow for building Photo book Page in Photoshop & Lightroom

    I am working on publishing a Photo Book using MyPublisher and will be laying out each page in Photoshop rather than using their templates.
    I need advice on the best workflow for accomplishing this task--here are some details:
    1. Images are Imported to Lightroom, are Flagged, and adjusted with Develop settings (Cropping, Basic Panel, Paintbrush etc.)
    2. I do add some capture sharepening to the image in Lightroom (not much).
    3. Use the EDIT IN Photoshop CS6 with 1 or more images from Lightroom as SMART OBJECTS.
    4. In Photoshop, I am changing the Image Size (sometimes upsizing for full page spreads) and resolution (everything goes to 300 DPI).
    5. Doing more intense Creative Sharpening for each image.
    6. I am using a variety of custom actions to layout pages with 1, 2, or 3 images plus text. I create a new document that is sized for the entire page (11.08 x 14.08 @ 300dpi for Deluxe Hardcover). I fill the background page with a custom pattern simulating textured paper and then layout the images for either a Left or Right Hand page.
    7. Saving page as a Photoshop File and re-importing into Lightroom
    8. Publishing the Photoshop Files as JPEGS with Medium Sharpening for Glossy Paper
    9. Importing the JPEG of the Page into My Publisher as a single image the sive of the entire page.

    I often use Photoshop to set photos in iPhoto books. I am not sure how Apple does the trimming of its books, but I have had no problems with edge trimming of pages whose photographs to go to the edge. There is no white to be seen. I haven't closely compared the original 11" x 8.5" photo with the one in the book, but generally the results look right.
    In terms of working out the gutter for two page spreads for a 11" x 8.5" book size. I measured an existing book and found the physical page width to be 11" exactly. I measured the gutter to be 0.25". So that means using Photoshop to create the image size of 10.75" x 8.5". It seems to work okay.
    Just interested if you have set a gutter, and if so, to what specification?

    After deactivating Standard workflow WS20000050,and activating your customized workflow, you have to assign agents for your custom workflow. Select agent assignement icon in the application tool bar(Red colour icon). Select the template and goto Attribute button, choose General task. After this Agent assignment only your workflow will get triggered.
    Then refresh your buffer memory in SWU_OBUF.

    Configure workflow to apply the different approval flows for booked and re-booked contracts. Even with AME rules, you still will have to write the query to determine the type of contract being approved. The only good reason to use AME is to utilize HRM rules (ie, organization hierarchy) to manage approvals. Use of AME will not help you configure workflow based on whether or not a contract is being booked or rebooked.

       The another option is to delete the contract version.. you can do this calling the BBP_PD_CTR_DB_DELETE & BAPI_TRACTION_COMMIT by sequential. get the change version guid from BBP_PD and pass the GUID to BBP_PD_CTR_DB_DELETE. make sure you have put 'X' for iv_save_on_db flag... this is not good way to do.. but the worst case this might help..
    or try to release the contract via SWO1 - BUS2000113 - SETRELEASED method..

    Launch the Address Book. You must be running Mac OS X 10.4, iCal 2 and Address Book 4 at a minimum to take advantage of the creation of the Birthdays calendar in iCal by entering birthday data in your Address Book contact records.
    Select a record to update and press the Edit button at the bottom of the main window. If the 'birthday Birthday' field label and field do not appear, open your Preferences… dialog and choose the Template pane, then add the birthday field by selecting it from the drop down menu labeled Add Field.

    Hi Tai,
    To check how the status flow works, please follow the procedure as mentioned below:
    1. Create a appraisal template
    2. Maintain the status/ Sub status flow.
    3. In the status flow, you will have one field called as Person Authorized. Please select either "Appraisee" or 'appraiser", as per your requirement. Also specify the pushbuttons
    4. You have to mention the Person Authorized for each statge of process flow.
    5. Once the status flow is ready then create youyr template using appcreate. Enter your appariser or appraisee id.
    6. Then login using appraiser or appraisee ID (as defined in the status flow) and go to Phap_admin_pa.
    7. Select you template. As per the status flow, you will see the pushbutton in your template

    Hi All,
    Can you assist us on how the below requirement can be achieved in SAP.
    For specific document types, the user must not be able to post the JV, if the total amount of the document is more than specified amount limit , say 10K (local currency). He can only PARK the document and the other user /manager have to review the document (JV) and have an option to approve or reject the JV with comments/reason for rejection.
    When the Doc is approved by the Manager/Other User, it has to been posted in the books (to the financials) and if rejected, the Doc has to return back to the creator of the Doc for modification as per the comment made in the rejection note.
    A mail has to triggered when the Doc has been parked and also when the manager approves or rejects the document.
    What are the setting has to been carried out in Finance module to implement the control.
    We know that through workflow this can be achieved, but not sure the process.

    According to me, you should activate workflow for Parking Documents.
    As per your requirement, first of all you will need to create workflow variant for parking document in SPRO> Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Incoming Invoices/Credit Memos > Carry Out and Check Settings for Document Parking > Create Workflow Variant for Parking Documents. In this, you can put an amount from which you want to initiate the workflow.
    Then, assign to company code. Then you will need to define release approval group and path. Both will be assigned to to your document type with the combination of your variant.
    You just go through the process, you will come to know the things and also take the help of ABAPer to determine the sub workflow and parent workflow.

    I have a question about Siebel On Demand performance.
    I would like to use book functionality to manage visibility for my company. My organization is quiete complex and I need to create more than 1000 book. So to manage book assignment, I have to create more than 2000 workflows (one for creation, one for modification) per Object.
    Do you think there is a risk of performance using so many workflows?
    Is it possible to use Territory functionality to manage users visibility on a record?

    I would recommend using Book of Business to manage visibility for your company. It is not possible to use territory functionality to manage users visibility on a record.

  • Std workflow for Parked Invoices?

    hi guys
    are there any std workflows for parked invoices? Our requirement is that once the Finance clerk creates a customer or vendor invoice he should only be able to park it and not post the invoice. Once the invoice is parked then the system should trigger a workflow and a notification neeeds to be sent to the approver to approve the invoice. Once it is done the finance clerk will post the invoice.
    I switched on the event trace and did a trace on while creating a parked invoice. No event is triggered when the document is parked. If i post the document the event POSTED of object FIPP is triggerd. So since we dont have any std events raised when a document is parked is it possible to have a workflow?

    Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting global setting -> document -> document parking -> create workflow variant for parking documents.
                                      Assign co.code to a workflow variant for parking documents.

  • Regd Workflow for a new custom page

    HI ,
    We have created 2 pages for some functionality where in user can login n serach for a person and update certain attributes like his source/company, assignment category etc.
    First page he can searach the person and after search results come in, he can click on a link and go to the next page where he can edit the attributes n submit.
    Now after updating and submitting the page, we have a reqt to send notifications to the initiator in case the user has approved the txn or rejected or sent for correction. But we dont know how to achive it with the 2 pages n no workflow.
    How to launch a workflow for this ?
    or is there a way we can send notification from backend without using workflow n it shud still come in the worklist of a person.

  • Approval workflow for creation of organization

    Hi,
    I need to configure an approval workflow for the creation of organization. When the admin tries to create a new org, the approval should go to a admin group. The org should get created only once approval is done. I have configured an approval workflow for the Xellerate Organization resource object. I have created an unconditional task where the assignment tab has the admin group. When I test it, the org gets created without going through the approval process. Could someone please tell me what am I missing?

    You'll have to raise request for Dummy Organization. It's Order for Organization so will not appear for user.
    I am not sure the full flow/complete requirement of your.
    APMU, you want approval while creating Organization into OIM.
    This is not possible OOTb when you create ORg in OIM.
    You'll create 1 dummy Org
    1 Dummy RO "OFO".
    Attach one Object Form with this RO.
    Raise request for Dummy Org and Give the name of Org on the object form for which you want approval.
    In the provisioning workflow, use OIM API to create Org into OIM.
    Done !!!
