Working with internal table issue

Hi all
i have internal table with the follwing data
and i want to move the entries (FNAM ,FVAL ) that relate to one screen 0101
into new table and the entries for the new screen 7101 to diffrent table

what is the best way to do that assume the tables content can
be change i.e. have more screens.

Web Service Test in SE80 does not work with internal Table

Hello,
I have created a web server based on a function module. It works fine when the server is invoked from outside (.Net or SOAPUI).
However, when I test it in SE80, (open the Server and then F8), it shows error message:
Access to the table ref. node 'Y02VSI_CAE_CONDITIONITEM' outside a loop
(Germany Zugriff auf den Tabellen-Ref-Node 'Y02VSI_CAE_CONDITIONITEM' außerhalb einer Schleife )
The test xml is generated from SAP, I just fill the data as following:
This XML is absolute correct. Why item ('Y02VSI_CAE_CONDITIONITEM) is outside a loop?
Is it a bug from SAP?

Hi Dianlong,
Please check if SAP note 1132501 is relevant for your ECC release. If you apply the note, you may have to re-generate the web service from the function module.

I am getting problem with internal table & work area declaration.

I am working with 'makt' table ..with the table makt i need to work with styles attributes ..so i declared like this

    But end of program i need to update dbtable "makt"...i am getting problem with internal table & work area declaration.
i think makt table fields mapping and internal table/work area mapping is not correct. so please help me to get out from this.

Java API for working with Pivot Tables...?

Hi,
I want to create/modify an existing pivot table in an excel sheet. Is there any open source available to work on pivot tables.
I have seen few articles mentioning that POI supports updation of data, though the apache site says that it does not support working with pivot tables. I am able to copy an existing excel template with pivot table to a new excel using poi but am stuck with updating....

The JExcelAPI does not support working with pivot tables... I am still in search of an open source to work with pivot tables....
btw, we are able to update an existing pivot table using apache poi. But we need to change the data range of the pivot table during run time... Am stuck with this... Has anyone come across any open source to work with pivots???

InDesign CC 2014 is very very slow when working with a table.

InDesign CC 2014 is very very slow when working with a table. Every 1/2 - 1 hour it nearly falls back, impossible to work with. While this project must be finshed quite soon..
What the hell is the matter with this Creative Cloud. I havea very fast iMac form 2014. I closed all other programmes, even cannot listen to music now. More people with this problem??

@Martien – How complex is your table?
How many cells? Merged ones as well?
Complex formatting of texts inside the cells?
Complex formatting rules of table rows and/or columns?
Many images inserted?
If yes, and the table is running through many text frames of many pages, I fear, you can do nothing against slowness.
Nothing but: Greek text, not showing the page contents in the Pages Panel, in short: anything you can do to get better performance in redrawing of the screen.
If you have the chance to break up one big table in several parts, do that and edit its parts one after another isolated. Pehaps in different documents.
Then merge the parts in one table, if you want to flow it from page to page.

Well a virtual host will certainly help working with a firewall its may mode of operation is to allow a different IP and / or DNS URL to work.
Are you sure the virtual host you added is the correct one as per what you want to do? I ask because you may have one in there for a different reason.
As I mentioned earlier though, whilst I am happy to contribute and try to help I am by no means an expert in doing what you are trying to do. I've always thought that changing a name like this would involve a re-install of the server which is something I believe you are trying to avoid. Personally I don't recall seeing a situation like yours work without re-installing which is why I encouraged you to speak with Support.

No, you can not declare internal table with header line in OO context. You have to declare the work are/header line separately
Example:
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_it_tab.
        INCLUDE STRUCTURE mara.
TYPES: tot_sum TYPE char40.
TYPES: END OF ty_it_tab.
DATA: it_tab TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF ty_it_tab.
DATA: wk_tab TYPE ty_it_tab.
LOOP AT it_tab INTO wk_tab.
ENDLOOP.

Issue with Internal Table

Hi All,
I have defined an internal table 'with occurs 0'.
While debuggining, i am observing that only 50,000 lines are getting populated in that internal table.
How to increase the capacity of the internal table, so that it can hold more number of lines?

I have defined an internal table as follows...
data: IT_CATSDB TYPE BAPICATS2 OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
I have used a BAPI called "BAPI_CATIMESHEETRECORD_GETLIST" which will retirieve the Timesheet details of all employees within a given date range.
Now, the number of entries that we got from this BAPI are stored in the internal table it_catsdb.
I have observed that this internal table is holding max of 50k lines.
If i check the database table (CATSDB) for the same conditions in SE11, i am able to get around 1L lines.
Hence my report is showing incorrect output.
Kindly help me out with some logic, so that this internal table can hold as much as data possible without any restriction.....

Logic issue with Internal Table

I have an internal table with following structure.
Name of Internal table: ITAB
Fields:   userid      login date     number
Values: abc         01012008
             abc         02012008
             abc         02012008
             abc         03012008
Now i should store the value for the field itab-number, based on the ita-logindate.
If the field logindate is having same date for 2 times (for the user 'abc'),
the field itab-number should have the value as '2' .
Basically i want to display a report to show how many times a user has logged into SAP system for a given date.......
How to incorporate this logic?

Static internal table issue - Used in BI Extractor

Hi,
We are reading data from a table in to a static internal table and using this table for future lookups.
Once in a while we can't find data while doing a lookup from this static internal table , But most of the time it works.
   Is it possible that data from this static internal table is removed due to memory issues during peak periods.

ABAP transformation to XML for sap chart engine with internal table

I am new to the SAP chart engine, XML and transformations so please be patient with me from an ABAP-program I am trying to call a Z-transformation and attach an internal table with two columns. In the ST program I want to loop through the table and for each row insert the two values from the table in the XML.
In an ABAP-program I have an internal table containing datacoordinates for a scattered chart.
The table looks like this:

As a prototype I just add a few coordinates like this:

I have created a Z-transformation and I call it like this (I also have a separate transformation for all the customizing generated with SAP chart designer but that one works fine):

HylaFax on OS X 10.4.7 Working with internal modem but not USB Modem

I have managed to configure and install HylaFax on a powerbook G4 with an internal fax/modem.
Only a couple of hangups to get that configuration to work.
As per the prerequisites outline here:HylaFax Prerequisites
You need the Xcode tools to use it's compiler.
The only other thing you may not have is:
libtiff
ghostscript
If you are running an x-serve you probably already have an MTA as well (postfix)
There are someOS X Specific install instructions of which I only had to follow the first couple, to create a user. Some of the latter instructions I found unecessary since startup is handled by launchd as far as I understand.
Before I compiled I had to put the hylafax source on a thumb drive, I know it seems wierd, but it worked. Something to do with the HFS+ format of the hard drive. But low and behold it worked. (the hylafax website mentions issues with other disk formatting besides UFS, but the fat32 formatted thumb drive worked for me)
A little side note:
You need to actually download the ghostscript fonts from the ghostscript project FTP site and mv them to the proper location:
/usr/local/share/ghostscript/8.54/fonts/
Once installed run:
/usr/local/sbin/faxsetup
It should prompt you to install your modems.
After doing this I had to start hylafax
#sudo /usr/local/sbin/hylfax start
and run a faxgetty command to enable incomming and outgoing
#sudo /usr/local/sbin/faxgetty ttys.modem
After doing so I was able to receive faxes and open them up with a pdf viewer, as well as send faxes via an application or printer driver on the mac and PC (windows xp with win hylafax print) Super SIMPLE! which is great for end users.
Okay so here is why I am actually posting on here. It is great that I got this working, but the final configuration will be on an x-serve that has no internal modem, and I would like to use more than one modem in case of high traffic incoming and outgoing. I purchased 2 apple usb fax/modems and when running faxaddmodem it even recognizes the modem, but never is fully able to use it like the internal modem. If anyone has any insight it would be great.
The issue I am seeing is that when I run
/usr/local/bin/faxstat -s
The modem says Waiting for modem to come ready

Just wanted to say I got hylafax to work with a usb modem on a powerbook, not sure if it's stable and user friendly enough to be used my a wide base here, but it's definitely cool, and it does work. I just wish it had LDAP/mysql integration, instead of the flat file business it has.
Anybody with any input on hylafax would be great.

Finding duplicates:Minus set operator in dealing with internal tables

Dear experts,
I am newbie to ABAP developement,i have been given an assignment to find the duplicate list of vendors in lfa table.
Now duplicate list doesnot means that text tokens will be just exact to conclude them as duplicate ,it could also be like
1111 Vendor ABC
1222 ABC Vendor
If anybody has clue ,how to work on such a problem ,plz come forward.
Right now i just tried initially how to find exact duplicates,i found on change command,it do works.
Then i am trying a new way which should just do the same thing.
I did as per this algorithm
1.Compute wholesome list in one internal table itab1
2.Used delete adjacent duplicates in itab2.
3.I feel itab3=itab1-itab2 will contain all duplicates in itab3.
Can anyone give me a hint.How can i do A-B ?.

There is no special aided SET operations upon internal tables in ABAP. Concerning your particular task I would say that you can try INSERT statement for each record in your internal table without preliminary comparing them with DB table. If there is a record in DB table with the same key then sy-subrc after INSERT will be non zero (actually 4) and no real insert would occur. So, only those records would be inserted which have no counterpart in DB table.

Sum in internal table issue

Dear Experts,
I have a Qty field which needs to be summed up when material no, po no and size are same in my internal table
Eg: PO no     Mat no     Size      Qty
      111          001          L          10
      111          001          L          20
needs to be shown as
      111          001          L          30
I have tried using the collect statement in several ways but unfortunately ddnt work out. Any suggestions?

Although Farid's sugegestion of looping and over two tables and summing would work I don't there is any reason to desist with your original approach of using the collect statement. The collect statment is designed exactly for this purpose and would be more efficient than two nested loops. As described before the folloiwng code should work the correct data elements inserted instead of the descriptions

         po_num type po_num,
         mat_no type mat_no,
         size type sizw,
         qty type qty,
        END OF tys_structure.
data: lt_table type standard table of tys_structure
           with non-unique key matnr, po_no, size,
         ls_workarea type type_structure.
collect ls_workarea into lt_table.
One additional note, It would probably be better to use a unique key of a sorted or hashed table if you only want the results to be aggreagted by material no, po no and size. I suggested a non-unique key of a standard table here because it is more flexible and i don't know what elese you might want to do with this table in your code.

Space removed from character data type when move to internal table issue...

I converted material code and other details into internal table which have corresponding data types.But in internal table,I can see material code as left justified ,but after that space was removed.For example if material code is 'ABC' then rest of the space(material char(18)) are removed.But I need remaining spaces.I tried to concatenate material code with spaces (caoncatenate matnr ` ` int etc .. )at right side and moved to another internal table.Its working.But the problem is material codes have different values like one material 'ABC' and another like '123893-h' etc.So I need to calculate the space(out of char 18) dynamiclly and need to put space based on material code value.

You have not told the purpose of having these spaces.
is it for transfering to a file?
If that is the case, use a table with fixed lenght lines instead of many fields.
i.e. try something like this
DATA : i_tab type standard table of BUSDATA,
wa_tab type BUSDATA.
wa_tab+0(10) = material number.
wa_tab+10(10) = material code.
wa_tab+20(4) = company code...
append wa_tab to i_tab.
