Workitem Display in Original System

A workitem appears in the CRM, there is a link which says Display in Original System. see page 757 figure 26-4 in Practical Workflow for Sap.
How can I get this to work, right now if I click on it, nothing happens.
PLEASE HELP the newbie Newbie is an under statement.

Hello,
I know this can be done, but am having some trouble finding where...
First off, a little background, my company has two systems, one for domestic and one for international. There was a great deal of development done for the international system that the domestic side now wants for themselves as well.
I have transported all of those objects from the Development box of the international system to the Development box of the domestic system, but to complete the process, I now need to switch the original system on all of that development from the international development system to the domestic development system to avoid having to do a repair every time a change is required to this development in the domestic system.
Does anyone know where this is done?

I know that our company had to do this also. But I was not involved in the project. The only thing I could find was a program that changes the original system.

Why won't my Intel iMac boot up, either from the internal hard drive or the DVD drive? It just displays a light grey screen, without any other icons, etc. The fact that it won't boot from the original system DVD is what baffles me the most. Any ideas?

If the C key for Install Disc or R Command for OS X Recovery startup commands are not working, try holding the Option key for the Startup Manager.

If that does not work and you using a wireless keyboard, it may have become unpaired and you need to dig up a USB keyboard to invoke the startup commands.

Cube is still assigned to original system after system copy

Hello Experts,
After system copy (BW and ECC), some cubes are still assigned to the original system.
Displaying the flow, the cube is assigned to the new system and the original one and the error message RSAR203 "Source system & (old one) does not exist" is araised.
I see that RFC connexion with original system are still in the system (were not deleted by basis team).
I have this problem only for cubes.
Any idea how can i fix this issue?

You can try the tcode 'bdls'. in this tcode you copy all tables to new source system.

How can I make apple sell me my original system restore 10.4.7 discs for my

My apple expert made me take out all but the drive I intended to erase and install, put that drive in position 1, and insisted I could install tiger from my retail tiger disc, which is 2005 PPC. I told him this, but he said it did not matter, and that I was wrong to say that it was just PPC. Of course the tiger dvd is not recognized as a bootable disc on my mac pro 1.1, nor is any startup disc on any volume created with the ppc installer. The purpose of my initial call was to purchase the 10.4.7 original system restore discs. I purchased the machine a few days ago so that I could use tiger volumes when I needed to, but still move forward with snow leopard on other drives. It came without system disks. Can I buy the disks from an outside vendor? Who? I need to use multiple OS setups.

I heartily thank everyone who posted and gave me good advice. I could tell that I got cooperation from apple only after posting this, so I did not want to respond until I actually got the discs.
Now I'm looking for an airport extreme card and I find that searching on the apple store turns up no results, only base stations. I have 3 airport cards, but sure they are all too old since they were for motorola G5's and 4's. And I'm wondering how to access svideo now... I'm nursing my aged cracked titanium powerbook because it has a pcmcia slot and svideo out, two things I use for importing cf cards and microdrives and presenting with my laser projector. The svideo cable allows the machine to be a long distance from the projector, or the projector from the amplifier. A display adapter is no help, and I have several, unless I can find a converter to svideo. I want to use a macbook 13" white plastic because of weight. Even though it can't run my video software, I can at least show things on screen and carry work back and forth, but I don't understand the refusal to address Svideo and and the card slot. SD cards only do so much, and usb readers are notorious now, everyone has to use them, and they are not reliable. Buying a heavy large mac book pro 17" does not do me any more good than lugging around my tower machine. iPad will be wonderful when it gets a keyboard and full computer functions- and runs regular software. But that is a few decades from now.
So many of my colleagues have had to buy pc laptops. They saved a lot of money.

First, make sure your TV is tuned to display the correct input signal. Most TVs have several inputs (multiple HDMIs, cable connections, RCA etc) so double-check that you're using the correct one - HDMI1, HDMI2 or whatever is written next to the port.
I assume that you have a mini-Displayport to HDMI adaptor? If you open displays preferences, first tick the box that says "show display preferences in menu bar" then locate the menu and click Detect Displays. See if that helps.

Display settings in System Preferences acting up

I'm having trouble with my Display settings under System Preferences. I am not using an external monitor. My display seems to be working fine, but when I open Display settings to change resolution and colour, weird stuff happens. Basically, I cannot use this preference pane at all.
My display is 1920x1200, but when I open the Display settings, I get two windows, one telling me that "I am about to change [something something], some applications cannot display information correctly if the screen has less than 800x600 pixels", and the other one, the usual main window, telling me that my resolution is now 640x480 (it isn't).
If I hit OK in the extra window that pops up, my resolution changes to 640x480 or something similar, and I am unable to change back unless I reboot. Also, in the main Display settings window, it says <<< DO NOT LOCALIZE >>> under the list of available resolutions, as well as << do not localize >> in the box where I can change refresh rate. None of the buttons seem to be working.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? This was working just fine when I received my new MacBook Pro a few days ago, but now it's not. I've been repairing disk permissions and rebooting, etc.
I have been installing the trial version of Adobe CS5, but had massive problems with this installation (as a lot of people are reporting with CS5 and Snow Leopard...) and uninstalled them again, cleaning out Adobe preference files. Could I have deleted some other important files by accident in this process?

Quit System Preferences, then delete these files or folders.
Users/yourname/Library/Preferences /com.apple.systempreferences.plist
Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/By Host/com.apple.systempreferences.xxxxx.plist and com.apple.PrefPane.Network.xxxxx.plist (the X's will be numbers)
Also, Users/Home/Library/Caches
Now relaunch System Preferences. Let us know.

Problem in Image Display from DMS System

I have an issue . I am saving the Image from CV01N and i am attaching the same to the Material through Material Master and i have a path SAPR3://SAPR3CMS/get/200/DMS_5FC1/DE75271A542EB8F1AC8100215E54283E/FKSN101375RUN155XX.bmp which is stored in SAP Server . Can anybody help me out that how can i display the same path in Smartforms . Please help me out with the same if the Possible in Smartforms .

Can 23" cinema HD Display support Game systems connectivity

I currently have my display connected to my MacBook but space is a factor at my dorm. Can I use my Apple 23" Cinema HD Display to connect my xbox 360? I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter but i get no picture. i also have a xbox VGA cable if i need to go that route. I figure digital to digital should give me a better picture, the an analog to digital. Can my 23" Cinema HD Display support game system connectivity or these older display were meant for Mac's Only?

followup question... Does the 23" cinema HD Display support HDCP? Could that be the cause for a blank screen. the power light is solid. I when to Display settings and lower resolution on the monitor, still no picture?

The issue is resolved. It was because of updating the IE version from 6 to 7.
We have degraded the IE version back to 6 and it all worked fine.

How to display the Portal System ID in a theme or iView?

Hi everyone,
I am trying to figure out a standard way to display the Portal system ID within the portal theme or within an iView. The complaint from users is that, if they are working in both Production and multiple test systems simultaneously, it is very difficult to decipher which system they are actually in.
Does anyone have experience with this previously?

Hello Charles.
A standard way is a modification of the Portal name which is displayed in a title bar of a browser's window. For this you have to edit the Central Configuration:
1. Open System Administration > System Configuration > Service Configuration;
2. In Browse Tab open Portal Runtime > Central Configuration;
3. Locate and modify portal.html.head.title property.
4. Save changes.
5. Restart portal server.

[SOLVED] Incorrect time displayed in my system

Hey Archers,
I have trouble correct time being displayed in my system.
My BIOS time is:
May 18 2012 08:39:21 PM IST
Date command displays
Sat May 19 02:09:59 IST 2012
Clearly the time displayed by date command is localtime+05:30 (Asia/Kolkata), when I expect it to be just localtime.
How do I correct this?
I dont dual boot and have just Arch installed on my machine.
And my /etc/rc.conf has this:
HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
Please correct if my understanding is wrong, but is this how it works?
When I say HARDWARECLOCK=UTC and TIMEZONE=''Asia/Kolkata",
It assumes, hardwareclock, time displayed by BIOS, is infact UTC, and, since the user is interested in timezone, +0530, it adds 0530 to hardware clock.

You were right, my hardware clock was on local time.
So this is what I did to set it correct.
1. Set the HARDWARECLOCK to "localtime" in /etc/rc.conf
HARDWARECLOCK="localtime"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
2. Reboot the system
3. Set the systemclock to UTC by doing a -0530 (minus 05 hours 30 minutes)
# date `date -d "-05 hours -30 mins" +%m%d%H%M%Y`
4. Copy the system clock value to hardware clock
# hwclock --systohc
5. Edit the /etc/rc.conf to set HARDWARECLOCK back to UTC
HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
TIMEZONE="Asia/Kolkata"
6. Reboot the system.
And yes, now my system clock displays correct time
Just setting HARDWARECLOCK to "localtime" also worked. But since I the beginners guide recomments "UTC" I did all this.

Generate Change Pointers in non Original System

I have developped in the inbound badis a trigger to generate the change pointers in a non-original system.
Do you know if there is a standard way to generate change pointers in a non-original system?
Landscape is as follow:
Original System => Intermediate System => Final System
I would like to generate change pointers in the Intermediate System to transfer master data into the Final System...

the configuration for change pointers is already done, the problem is that if changes are send from the original system, it doesn't generate a change pointer in the intermediate system.
In the end, the intermediate system doesn't send the information to the final system as there are no change pointers generated by the changes received from the original system.
What I'm doing at the moment is to generate those change pointers in the inbound badi in the intermadiate system, I'm wondering if there is not a standard solution for this kind of implementation.

I am getting this message "Carry out repairs in non-original system only if they are urgent" while i try to edit a z function module which i have created in the development system. Because of this I can't change the code, I need to use the insert, delete....buttons.

Obviously the Z-function module was originally created on another development system. Therefore you get this message.
If you have transferred your function group to another development system then simply change the source system of the function group. You can do this using transaction SE03 (function "Change Object Entries...") or you can use function module TRINT_TADIR_MODIFY.
