Is it possible to view the workstatus via EVLCK for entities which i have no read rights for? Version: BPC7.5 SP06

Hi Jeff,
If you don't have read rights to an entity then you won't be able to see that entity in your dimension list so I think you shouldn't be able to see the work status data either using EVLCK. Correct me if I am wrong.
Why not create a simple example in ApShell and test this out? Let us know what you find out.

Hello,
We were told by SAP representative that in BPC 7.5, we can do a selective transport - like we can manually select the objects in an appset to be transported. When checked the transport program/Tcode in BPC 7.50 - we dont find that option.
Can someone confirm if we can selectively transport objects from an APPSET.

Hi,
As the transport in SAP BPC is realized through the copy of the whole AppSet, SAP has set the ability to restrict the transport of certain objects through their changeability.
The changeability for SAP BPC objects is maintained through the table UJT_TRANS_CHG (accessible through transaction SE16) but not from tcode UJBPCTR.
There are two levels of changeability:
D (Development): The objects whose changeability is set to D can be transported from one environment to the other using the BPC transport tools. Objects in non productive environment are usually set to D, unless for specific cases (exclude a specific a type of object from a transport).
P (Production): Objects whose changeability is set to P cannot be transported and cannot be modified. This is usually the case for productive environments. However SAP provides the possibility to set specific types of objects changeability to D in a productive environment in order to allow their modification on the production system if needed.

sap BPC 7.5 sp03 on Dec 26 2009 (around April 2010 - june 2010 for all customers ) ,
sap BPC7.0 sp06 was on Oct 2009 ,

Consolidation of Leaving Entities - BPC7.5(NW) SP06

Following is the scenario:
1. Legal Consolidation of Entities in BPC (YTD application - as source data is YTD)
2. Financial year is Apr2011 to Mar 2012
3. In May 2011 two entities are sold off
4. First Consolidation in BPC is Jan 2012. Before that consolidation is being carried out is excel/
Now since the entities are sold off in May, the income statement in Jan2012 should consider the values of the leaving entities using transactions till May 2011 and should ignore all transactions after that. Also, all balance sheet accounts should be reversed. This is because the application is a YTD application. So we have to maintain the sold off entities in the entity dimension. But should we add them in the DHE in JAn2012? How do we handle this scenario? Should we mark the entities as Leaving in May 2011 in the DHE and carry out consolidation for all the months from Apr 2011?
Request someone to help us with this scenario on How does BPC handle leaving entities (during the year) w.r.t to legal consolidation.

If the entity method is leaving in 2011.DEC, you musn't consider the entity in 2012.JAN. So in this case you must not introduce the entity in the scope (or group) for 2012.JAN. System don't get into consideration that entity in 2012.JAN.
If you need something different, you should create another different method for that entity, and associate the different automatic adjustments for your specific leaving situation.
But the normal situation is that one, not to include any financial statements of the entity in 2012.JAN, because you sold it in 2011.DEC.
Other different issue is related with what you should do if a entity leave the scope during the year in 2011.MAY, how could you keep the P&L to 2011.DEC? I think the are differents issues.

Erro CX_ST_MATCH_ELEMENT no PI após implementação do SP06

Pessoal,
Após a implementação do SP06 do GRC (a versão anterior era a SP03), não estamos conseguindo mais ter as aprovações das notas. O processo para no GRC durante a assinatura da nota, mais especificamente após a execução da SENDER INTERFACE SIGNN_SignNFe_OB, ou seja, não esta executando SIGNN_SignedNFe_IB.
A mensagem de erro pela transação SXI_MONITOR no GRC é a seguinte:

Aparentemente para ser um erro de SPROXY (ver imagens abaixo), porém verifiquei pela SLDCHECK e SXMB_ADM que a RFC correspondente ao ESR esta correta e já tentei executar u201CPosition ESRu201D pela SPROXY.
Alguém sabe o que esta acontecendo?

Performance issues with SAP BPC 7.0/7.5 (SP06, 07, 08) NW

Hi Experts
There are some performance issues with SAP BPC 7.5/7.0 NW, users are saying they are not getting data or there are some issues while getting data from R/3 system or ECC 6.0. Then what things do I need to consider to check, such as what DataSources or Cubes I need to check? So, how to solve this issue?
What things I need to consider for SAP NW BI 7.0 u2013 SAP BPC 7.5 NW (SP06, 07, 08) Implementation?

Hi,
New SP was released in February, and now most of the new bugs should been caught ,This has a Central Note. For SP06 it's Note 1527325 - Planning and Consolidation 7.5 SP06 NetWeaver Central Note to fix any issues. Most of the improvements in SP06 were related to performance, especially when logging on from the BPC clients.There you should be able to find a big list of fixes/improvements and Notes that describe those. Some of the Notes even have test description how to reproduce that issue in the old version.

NW CE 7.1 SP06 for SAP Strategy Management (SSM) environment

I have been unable to find NW CE 7.1 SP06 installation files in SWDC. The path I have tried is:
SDWC > Installations and Upgrades > Entry by Application Group > SAP NetWeaver and complementary products > SAP NetWeaver CE > SAP NETWEAVER CE 7.1.
When I navigate there, there is only an 'Info Page' tab, not a 'Download' tab like I am accustomed to seeing for downloading installation files for other products. There is an 'Installation' link on the Info Page tab but this just takes me to another info page with a warning:
"The following products have been classified with export control list position 4D003c (Strong Encryption). These products are subject to export control! Please consider this fact in case of export and/or shipment to other member states of the European Union. If so, please check whether you need an import license."
We thought it could be a licensing issue but we do have access - we checked with our partner contacts at SAP.
How do I get the installation file(s)?

I solved the issue bye updating jvm manually. Both jspm and update manager didn't update successfully.

Resolution (to support adobe document services for my specific instalaltion)
Check JVM version in Netweaver u2013 open file
c:\usr\sap\<NWinstance>\<NWnumber>\exe\sapjvmmanifest.mf. See SAP JVM version
(e.g. sapjvm version: 5.1.055)
If SAP JVM version is earlier than 5.1.0.55 apply the patch from SAP Note 1469491:
1) Download patched JVM from the link provided in SAP Note 1469491 for
required platform
2) Unpack downloaded SAR archive using Netweaver SAPCAR tool
3) Check JVM version and platform in file sapjvmmanifest.mf. E.g.
sapjvm os: NTintel
sapjvm version: 5.1.055
u201Csapjvm osu201D should be the same as in the installed NW JVM u2013 see file
c:\usr\sap\<NWinstance>\<NWnumber>\exe\sapjvmmanifest.mf
4) Stop Netweaver services
5) Substitute Netweaver JVM folders
c:\usr\sap\<NWinstance>\<NWnumber>\exe\sapjvm_5 and
c:\usr\sap\<NWinstance>\SYS\exe\jvm\NTI386\sapjvm_5.1.0xx by SAP JVM
from the patch package
6) Start Netweaver services

Setting of WorkStatus is incorrect

Hello all
I am trying to send data with schedule input.
When i press "send data" ---> "Validate submission before sending", i get this error: "setting of WorkStatus is incorrect. Please contact your administrator".
I cheked the "Work Status" in my Appset, nothing seems to be wrong.
Please advice.

Im on 7.5 sp9 and having this very same issue and not getting anywhere with SAP support.
How can you change the work status order. The work status settings screen does not seem to let me change the dimension details.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Duplicate Handling in not working fot FTP and working for NFS in PI 7.31 SP06

Hi Experts,
To handle the duplicate files and I enabled the check box (Enable Duplicate Handling) in Sender File adapter , but this is working in case of NFS option and it's not working for FTP protocol.
What I observed is if the same file received second time from FTP server and File date and time is current file created date and time in FTP server.
But in case of NFS file time is last file modified date and time.
As per SAP help duplicate file is working based on last file modified date and time stamp - but this is not same for duplicate file in case of FTP.
I am testing this in PI 7.31 SP06.
Please help if you tested this option in PI 7.31 using sender FTP.
Because our scenario we might received from sender FTP duplicate files and this I wanted fix using our standard check box option.

User-Defined Message Search - PI 7.1 - EHP1 - SP06 - Not working

Hi Friends,
Recently, we have imported SP06 in our PI system (PI 7.1 EHP1). The SXMB_MONI has now new tab "User-Defined Selection Criteria".
To implement user-defined search, I have created filer, extractor, namespace prefix for one outbound interface through transaction SXMS_LMS_CONF. (As it is explained in SAP EHP1 features PDF and the link "http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/c85598f63335bfe10000000a42189d/frameset.htm".
Also we have created logical port through transaction SOAMANAGER. (followed the steps as mentioned in PDF)
After filters, extractor, namespace prefix created and activated, I have checked the extractor through Test Extractor, it is working fine. (All are green, given below is the output)

(same material I put), it shows the message "No message is available for selection".
Friends, could you kindly clarify why I am unable to search through SXMB_MONI? Am I missed any of the steps?

Were you able to resolve the issue ?
If not, You need to execute program SXMS_EXTRACT_MESSAGES to build index for the user defined search from the old messages.
The job bulids index from the already processed messages.
Choose the relevant Method when creating the extractor
Method
You can choose between two methods:
Extract During Message Processing
Select this method if you want the attributes to be extracted from the selected messages while these messages are processed.
Extract with External Job
Select this method if you want to extract attributes from messages that were already processed, or if you want to change the extraction of attributes from messages, from which attributes were already extracted.
For this method you need to set up and use the job SXMS_EXTRACT_MESSAGES.

I am working on BPC7.0NW version with Legal Consolidation.
   My Scenario is so simple that I got from SDNu2026
Following steps outlines how consolidation environment should be set
1.Consolidation (Legal) AppSet creation/Parameters setting
2.Master Data (Dimensions) Set-up----Which I have done by taking some sample data sitting with my frd u2026(we are new to this type of preparing some sample master data)
3.Application creation/Parameters settingu2014Done as given in SDN Scenario
4.Table Driven ABAP Program Maintaining (Data Manager Packages, Scripts Logic, Business Rules)
5.Rate Data and Ownership Data Update
6.    Work Status Setting
7.     Journal Template and validation setting
But I am facing lots of problems from 4-Step from DM(where he hasu2019t specified the steps for how to do the consolidation from step by step and basic order to do consolidation like FX Restatement,ICELIM and so onu2026what is the criteria shold I use these functios and how u2026)
And Basically iam From ABAP domain and donu2019t know much abot scripts and functionality used in Consolidation..
How business rules are useful in Consolidation..
These are my primary steps and prb facingu2019s..How to come over these Prbs and any detaild scenario is there with any body and worked with itu2026

SP06 API Connection Questions

Hello API Experts,
I have a few questions related to connections to MDM using the API presented with SP06. SP06 introduced new options for connections via classes in mdm.sessions package. Which connection types are preferred for a java web services environment, using classes in mdm.sessions package or mdm.net package? What is the reasoning behind your choice?
When I create a UserSessionContext I notice that 2 connections are created ( I watch the connections in MDM Console as I'm debugging my java app ). When I want to get rid of these connections I do a releaseSessions( ) and destroySessions( ) call. The connections disappear from MDM console (that's good) but on my java console window in eclipse I get two messages printed from the mdm.logging.MdmLogger class:
SEVERE: Can not find session for release. Session context: '< my connection info >'
SEVERE: Can not find session for destroy. Session context: '< my connection info >'
Is this really a problem since the connections seem to disappear from the Console?
Finally, what are the differences between releaseSessions and destroySessions and would one ever want to releaseSessions and not destroySessions with the intention of picking them up again later and if so, how would you pick them up again at that later time or would the API just hand them back to you when you later ask for a new __SessionContext?

Hi Mark,
The new classes introduced in the com.sap.mdm.session package were introduced in order to make session creation less painful for the software developer. It is up to you, though to choose how you wish to create a connection to an MDM server.
The function releaseSession marks a s session as available for destruction. DestroySession immediately calls for destruction of the session. So you should use one of these functions, but not both of them.

SAP BPC 10.0 Netweaver : Workstatus email notification sender is the User how to change it ?

I've just set up email notification for Workstatus. I works fine but I've noticed something that won't be accepted by my customer :
I Had created a BPC Service User SMAIL to send email notification. But it is useless since the email notification sender is always the user who actually made the workstatus change.
This is very strange because this means that SAP can send emails IN NAME of Users. By default the email used is the user's email set up in SU01 and if the user has no email the sender mail adresse is : USERID@DEFAULTHOST
Default domain defined in SCOT transaction for SAPCONNECT.
I think that this situation raises a security breach ; to my opinion SAP should not be able to send emails in the name of users.
Do you have any idea to change this situation in order to make all notification emails send by one unique System User as BPCSERVICEMAIL for instance.

Hi JW,
The answer to your question #2 is that we won't have SSIS packages in BPC7NW since all SQL server based functionality won't be there in Netweaver version. If you use migration tools to migrate from BPC5.x to BPC7NW, it can convert SSIS packages. However any custom SSIS code would have to be converted manually. BPC 10.0 NW Workstatus Mail

Hi gurus,
We have developed a program for changing workstatus and sending mails. In this program we have used the standard function module UJW_API_UPDATE_WS_LCKS. This function takes each combination of {entity, category, time} change its status and send a mail to the owner of the entity,
When our client initializes the budgeting process, the program is executed for the twelve months of the year and sends several mails. For example, if we fixed the entity and the category, twelve mails are sent to the owner of the entity. But, we want to send only a mail with the information of the twelve months. It is possible with UJW_API_UPDATE_WS_LCKS?

No Roles In Access Request - GRC 10 SP06

With GRC 10 SP 06 ,I am facing strange issue .In Access request when I search for roles to be assigned I am not getting any result .
I have performed all post installation system and same working with SP 05 in other landscape .
Important steps like running back ground jobs for user.role.profile synch role import all is done .

Hi,
You have hit a similar problem I faced after moving to SP06.
What is the value assigned to the "Role Status"? If it is not "Production/PRD", then Access request doesn't allow it to be displayed as a selectable option for assignment. Prior to SP06, this was not checked, but SP06 got updated to ensure roles that are not in Productive use status can not be assigned for usage.
Once you change this status over in the roles you wish to make available for assignment via Access Request, you should be able to search and select them.
