Write mode :Add Time Stamp in J2SE Adapter

Hi All,
     We are using J2SE receiver adapter while converting Idoc to File and the file comes in the following format.
<filename>20080310-104448-995.dat
But client wants it in more specific format.
<filename>.D20080310.T104448.P00995.dat
or
<filename>-D20080310-T104448-P00995.dat
I have got no  idea on this. So , if any one of you is aware, request you to let me know......
Thanks,
Viji

Hi,
I think you need to assign it dynamically as you cannot change the format for Add TimeStamp

  • File adapter- Add time stamp

    Dear All,
    Scenario:-
    File to Proxy and Acknowledgement SAP to File.
    Once the file is received by SAP and first ack is send as recepit of file to Legacy system, after that the process goes ahead and do other validation and the same outbound proxy is triggered and send the respeonce.
    Now in Ack i am using the same strucutre to send the file receipt and the other response and in file adapter I am differentiatiing the file with Add time stamp option.
    Problem:-
    My Ack Response from R3 is coming very immidiately. For example Reciept time stamp and other response time stamp is same.
    Hence my legacy system is not able to differentiate which is the first flow. Ideally after receipt the other file will be seen by Legacy.
    How can I resolve the problem in case when the time stamp for both the flow is same.
    I can see Add time stamp option has yyyyMMdd-HHmmss-SSS wat is SSS stands for?
    Chirag.

    Hi,
    My Ack Response from R3 is coming very immidiately. For example Reciept time stamp and other response time stamp is same.
    Request / response timestamp can't be same, even if it happens at real time.
    I can see Add time stamp option has yyyyMMdd-HHmmss-SSS wat is SSS stands for?
    SSS is milliseconds having values between 000-999.

  • Receiver FTP processing parameters should not add time stamp

    Hi Gurus,
               I want to write the file at receiver end with the same name as in source directory.. (I dont want the time stamp to be added to my file at receiver side)
             For that i have configured processing parameters as
                1) File Construction mode --- create
                2) checked Overwrite existing file
                3) Put File -
    use temporary file
                4) Temporary File Name Scheme --- rec_*.tmp
                5) File type -
    binary
    But the files are not written in target directory..
    How to troubleshoot it...

  • File name for append processing mode with time stamp

    Hi Experts
    we are doing file to file scenario using the processing mode as Append.
    the requirement for us to append the files and we need to have new file name with time stamp added to the appended file.but in the processing mode of the file adapter either we can append or add time stamp. thatz the problem I am facing now.
    we are doing file based processing not message based ,micheal blog regarding the dynamic file name is for message based not for file based.
    Please provide your valuable comments.
    Thanks
    Faheem

    Hi mohamed,
                      I suggest you to map the target source structure to the required filename u want, like for example ur filename is input26062008.txt means to the target structure u perform the following mapping
    constant (input) concat with currentdate function --> concat with constant .txt --> map this concat to target. So u will get the filename u expected with the time.
    Then in the communication channel u select the mode as append. Now ur requirement will get solve i think so. plz try.

  • Appending and add time stamp at a time........

    Hi all,
    i am working on a scenario...
    it is file based..no mapping and bpm can be used.
    I need to pick up file through xi and append it and put in the target with time stamp to it.
    we can achieve this if mapping or bpm is allowed.....
    But,in file processing we can use only one option at a time.....
    I found a way:
    scenario one: files will be appened and kept in a temparory folder
    using another scenario we will pick up the appeneded file and add time stamp and keep in target structure...
    but i dont think this is advisable...
    please suggest me any other ways to achieve this...(can run operating system command be helpfull??)
    thanks in advance..
    Regards,
    Kiran.

    HI,
    Yes you are right, Appending and adding Time Stamp will not be possible simultaneously.
    Refer - this could help you
    Dynamic Filename with TimeStamp
    Dynamic Filename with TimeStamp
    /people/william.li/blog/2006/04/18/dynamic-configuration-of-some-communication-channel-parameters-using-message-mapping
    But some how you have to use mapping for it. Then if its allowed to use the mapping then as you have suggested, should have to go for two scenarios. No alternative,
    Probably also you can try with Customized Adapter Module for this.
    Thanks

  • How do I add time stamp to photo in photoshop?

    How do I add time stamp to photo in photoshop? I have saved photos from a camera phone to the computer. They still have the META data on them (aka the date and time from when the picture was taken). How do I put them on there?

    The following is old but may still be valid with Yosemite (it addresses how to remove the name but indirectly also how to display it): http://osxdaily.com/2012/01/10/remove-user-name-from-menu-bar-os-x/

  • Add time stamp array into first column of text file

    I am writing daq output to a file by using array to spreadsheet string vi then write that to a file but I would like to add a time stamp array into the first column of the text file. How do I do this?

    When you use a DAQmx Read, you have the option of returning a waveform data type. This includes time data. If you were to use this and either Export Waveforms to Spreadsheet File or Write Measurement File, this would included. To stick with the regular Write to Spreadsheet File, you would have to create an array of timestamps yourself based on a start time and the sample rate of the DAQ. Then you would convert this and the data array to strings and use the string array type of Write to Spreadsheet instead of the DBL type.

  • Add time stamp in Final Cut?

    In Final Cut is there any way to add a time stamp, like what you get on a consumer camcorder? The customer wants the date and time to show on the final video. The time and date was not recorded when I recorded the event.

    In the mean time, to get this project done, it looks like I'm editing 60 tiny titles for my one hour video.
    I'm not expert in Motion, but if you already have it, give yourself 5-10 minutes to try and publish the Time Date generator. The basic steps are (I'm doing this from memory so the names of things might be wrong):
    1. Sart up Motion and choose a new FCPX Generator template project. Set the project settings that match your own project settings in FCPX.
    2. Drag the Time Date Generator into the project.
    3. Publish all the parameters you might want to change in FCPXby right clicking on them and selecting publish parameter.
    4. Save the project. this will ask you for a name and category, which once saved, automatically appear in FCPX.
    5. Drag that one new generator to your project, change the duration to fill your whole timeline, and set the parameters to your starting date/time.

  • Write signal with time stamp

    hii...
    I've a student project to read and write data from a continous signal with labVIEW.. I'm going to read the system for 24/7, The reading program already finished.
    The problem is in the writing procces.. I have no idea how to write data to file with low level vi.. I'm new in LabVIEW and I already try some modification to my program but it still don't work as i want.
     I want the writing procces only occur when i press the button and it only run for a few second with constant time stamp.. It just to check if there are any data missing or not.. The system are a fast (It's what make problem bigger).
    I'm getting crazy at all.. If some one could help me i will be very grateful... I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 and PCI 6259...

    Hi Dani,
    here's the two-loop version...
    When you use the local you wouldn't need the queue at all... But using locals may lead to race conditions (not in your simple vi, but general) - locals don't provide "atomic" data access.
    In Labview the wire is equivalent to variables in text programming languages!
    The vi uses the producer-consumer-scheme (Erzeuger-Verbraucher-Struktur ?): one loop is producing values, the other is consuming them. It's a common scheme in LV programming, you will find examples and a lot of threads here in the forum.

  • Add time stamp?

    Hi, I'm wondering if there is a feature or a way in FCP to stamp the new time-code on a video I'm creating? (better yet, if i can show frames count instead).

    You can choose "Frames" from the Format popup.

  • Changing Time Stamp in Receiver Adapter's File Naming Schema.

    Hi All,
    I am working on a ABAP Proxy to File(FTP with FCC) scenario.
    I have a requirement to place the file at FTP with naming schema XSP_SUPPLIER_CC_DD_MM_YYYY.csv.
    I have checked many blogs which talks about Dynamic Configuration, but here the naming schema we fetch is from sender file adapter's ASMA(Adapeter Specific Message Attributes).
    But in my case sender side is ABAP proxy.
    How can I achieve this??
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Sachi

    Hi,
    >> but here the naming schema we fetch is from sender file adapter's ASMA(Adapeter Specific Message Attributes).But in my case sender side is ABAP proxy.
    You can use dynamic configuration to not only fetch values from message header you can use it to put values to message heade also.....you can write  UDF (code will look like below) and in the UDF you can create string with required filename and concatinate it with the timestamp...
    try {
    String filename    = "";
    String timestamp = "";
    DynamicConfiguration conf1 = (DynamicConfiguration) container
        .getTransformationParameters()
        .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key1 = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http:/"+"/sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    filename = "XSP_SUPPLIER_CC_"sourceFiledValue(Supplier)addtimestamphere+".csv";
    conf1.put(key1,filename);
    return filename;
    catch(Exception e)
         String exception = e.toString();
          return exception;
    Supplier>UDF>TargetMessage
    In the file receiver communication channel check the ASMA property target filename.

    Priyanka

    Hi,
    You have to Use Add Time Stamp Option in the Receiver File Adapter--Under File Construction Mode
    Check this

  • I used "Get Waveform Components" to separate waveform data. I need to get the time stamp and write it on file as an header.

    I am not able to solve the problem because I can't find an I/O vi that writes on file time stamp data. An error occurs, because of connecting different data types. How can I convert time stamp data so that I can use it as input in a write on file vi? Please, help me!

    The problem with the selection seems to be that you are using two different indexing tunnels on the for loop. One of them loops over every value of the first incoming waveform, the other one over all waveforms in the incoming array. The value you wire to the N terminal will be ignored, the number of loop executions will be the minimum of your indexes. Anyway, the loop doesn't seem to do what you wanted:
    - If you want to store the complete waveform: loop over all waveforms, check for the maximum of each of them and write it just like you do now.
    - If you want to store only the values of each waveform that actually exceeded the threshold: You can either use 2 nested for loops to iterate over each value of each waveform. Use shift registers t
    o create new arrays of timestamps / values for the values you want to store. You need to either convert the waveform to x-y-pairs (VI on analog waveform palette) or calculate your own timestamps. You might as well want to check out the "Search waveform" VI. Configure it so that value+-tolerance covers the band between your expected minimum value and your threshold value. The VI will give you the indices and timestamps of all fits.

  • Date and Time in Sender File Adapter Target Directory

    Hi there,
    is there a way of using Date and Time from XI to the Target Directory naming? To use variable substitution some fields of the message had to contain that date and time information, which is not our case.
    For filename you can use "add time stamp" option, but and for target directory?
    Thanks and regards,
    Henrique.

    Hi there, Moorthy
    We've tried to write that shell script that you mentioned, but now we have a few doubts on how to make it create the proper directory.
    In the file adapter, my target directory is "/%var1%/%var2%/", where %var1% and %var2% are variable substitutions, referencing data which comes from the payload. Now, I need the shell script to append "/<Year>/<Month>/" in the target directory. But where to archive the script? If it stays in the root directory, than how to make it create "/<Year>/<Month>/" folders inside a directory which is variable (/%var1%/%var2%/)?
    Is there a way of passing %var1% and %var2% as parameters for the shell script?
    Thanks a lot,
    Henrique.
