Wrong file blocking a queue in JMS adapter

Hi there,
I've this scenario with a  JMS sender which puts an EDI file into a queue. But when this file has any error, we get an error in communication channel monitoring.
The error is not important, the problem we have is that, whenever it happens, this message automatically starts being reprocessed blocking the queue.
Is there any way to avoid this reprocessing?
Thanks in advance! Iñaki.

Hi Agasthuri,
The queue always tries to reprocess the file so it's still working but with the same file. I know how to manually delete that file from the queue so the next one can be processed, but I'm trying to figure how can this be automatically done whenever an erroneous file arrives.
Regards, Iñaki.

  • Push different type of messages to JMS Queue using JMS Adapter

    Platform: Oracle SOA 11g. JMS Adapter.
    I got to push different types of messages as string to same queue. JMS Adapter requires schema to push a message to a queue. Since messages are of different types, how can I push them into queue. I tried to use singleString schema. Result is that actual message gets wrapped into <singleString> root element which is not the required result.
    Any hints or links shall be appreciated.

    Thanks fo ryour reply and help. I appreciate that.
    Wrapping of original message in <singleString>  element is done by JMS Adapter as the very last activity/setting. I am not composing/transforming message into final shape with singleString through transformation.
    Once message is with JMS adapted on one end, it is in Queue on the other end. No control.
    Since consuming end is not in my control and requires the actual message in Text format, I need to have the message target queue in Text format.
    If I select the Opaque schema, following error message is thrown.

  • How to send message to a queue using JMS adapter

    Hi,
    I need to send messages to the default queue(demoQueue) available in the server using a JMS adapter in a BPEL process.
    I tried doing the same by using an invoke activity that invokes the JMS adapter service to send the message to the queue. I deployed this process in the server and gave an input to send it to the queue. The prcoess executed without any errors in the BPEL console.
    I am also using Hermes v1.0 to monitor the queue but it says that it dint receive any messages in the queue to read.
    I am sorry that i have restrictions from the client that i can't post the code here. Please let me know if anyone has got any solution or if you know any other way of doing the same.
    Thank you

    You can use the following procedure :
    DBMS_AQ.ENQUEUE (
    queue_name IN VARCHAR2,
    enqueue_options IN enqueue_options_t,
    message_properties IN message_properties_t,
    payload IN "<ADT_1>",
    msgid OUT RAW);

    Hi Dennis,
    Did u get a solution for this.
    Even i have a same scenario where i have to select the destination queue dynamically.

  • How to read Java Object message from JMS Queue using JMS Adapter .

    Dear All,
    In my scenario i have to read a java object message from JMS Queue . I tried by using the JMS Adaper ,but i am not getting any Payload . Can any one tell me is there any special settings for JMS Adapter to read the Java Object message .
    I am able to read the Message successfully thru JMS Adapter but in SXMB_MONI it is not showing any payload .
    I also went in Message monitoring but i am getting this type of message in Sender JMS Adapter  in Audit Log.
    JMS Message ID XXXXX Message Type Null unknown.Payload can not be read and will be empty.
    JMS Message ID XXXXX Payload Empty can not read.
    Please Help.
    Lateef

    Hi,
    As far as i know, JMS Object Messages is not supported by XI JMS adapter.
    you need to have the JMS provider to transform the message to bytes messages.

  • Configuration for JMS Adapter Sensor action and JMS Queue sensor action..!!

    Hi,
    Id like my BPEL process to send an XML message to JMS on Websphere,I was able to do this through a JMS adapter.But I would more like to add sensors into my process which would really do the same thing - send an XML message to JMS Q.
    Now I understand that there are two ways to do this,JMS Queue and JMS Adapter - thorugh bpel sensor action.
    I am able to use JMS Queue and it works fine , but adds its own xml tags to the message,Is there any way I could send only my xml payload as a message to the queue??
    Also could any1 tell me what is the configuration for JMS Adapter sensor action?
    Any suggestions how do I go about it??

    Hey Anirudh,
    Thanx for the response :-)
    All these hold good when I have an AQ adaptor right,But the thing is I want to send a message to a 'JMS' queue with out actually using an adapter configuration wizard and everythng..So I resolved to JMS queue Sensor action..Heres the xml snippet from the sensorAction.xml files which is generated..
    <actions targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test_JMS_Logging" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor" xmlns:tns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test_JMS_Logging" xmlns:pc="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor">
    <action name="JMS_LogEntry" publishName="" publishType="JMSQueue" enabled="true" filter="" publishTarget="jms/L_Queue">
    <property name="JMSConnectionFactory">jms/L_QueueCF</property>
    <sensorName>ActivitySensor_JMS</sensorName>
    </action>
    </actions>
    This works grt and adds messages to the queue..But adds its own header info according to the sensor.xsd loacted at the Oracle_home\bpel\system\xmllib\ folder.
    Right now the XML message added to the Queue is:-
    <actionData xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor">
    <header>
    <sensor sensorName="ActivitySensor_JMS" classname="oracle.tip.pc.services.reports.dca.agents.BpelActivitySensorAgent" kind="activity" target="AddLEntr

    <updaterName>AddL_Entry</updaterName>
    <updaterType>scope</updaterType>
    </variableData>
    </payload>
    </actionData>
    My requirement is that I need to add a sensor to the BPEL process which posts 'Only my payload message to the JMS queue'..
    What I would want the message in the Queue to be is : -
    <data>
    <ns0:LCName xmlns:ns0="LC_Test1http://www.ulrhome.com/2008/10/L_Entry">LC_Test1</ns0:LCName>
    </data>
    Also while creating a Sensor action I get another option as JMS Adaptor,I am not sure of what value to type in this wizard..Heres what I keyed in..M sure this is not right..Cos it dosnt work :-)
    <action name="SensorAction_JMS" publishName="" publishType="JMSAdapter" enabled="true" filter="" publishTarget="jms/LoggingQueue">
    <property name="JMSConnectionName">Log</property>
    </action>
    </actions>
    Could any 1 tel me what values are the right values..And does JMS Adapter mean that I have to create a JMS Apator in the project and give that connection name as a Value..
    I am not finding sufficiant Documentation for 'JMS Adapter' so M clueless and right now any help will be appriciated :-)

    Please let me know if any of you have faced similar issue.
    Thanks

  • Content conversion in Sender JMS Adapter

    Hi,
    Scenario is file to IDoc
    My source file is   ' ; ' separated file coming from MQ via JMS adapter. now  I need to convert this to XI.
    Source DT looks like
    Root
    HEADER  (Occurance 1)
         Field 1
         ISOCURCD
         TRANKODE
         IDENTIFIER
         DATO
         TIME
    DETAIL(Occurance 1 to unbounded)
         ISOCURCD
         TRANKODE
         EFFDATE
         COMMDATE
         DKKVAL1
         USDVAL1
    TRAILER(Occurance 1)
         ISOCURCD
         TRANKODE
          TRANCOUNT
    According to How to use content conversion in JMS guide from SDN i have configured the content conversion parameters in the module of JMS sender adapter.
    In the processing sequence  given the module name as localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean and module Key as Plain2XML.
    And in module configuration
    Parameter Name                      Parameter Value
    Transform.Class                          com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
    Transform.ContentType                     text/xml;charset=utf-8
    xml.keyFieldName                          TRANKODE

    xml.documentNamespace                          http://XXX.XXX.XX/xi/XXXXX
    xml.processFieldNames          fromConfiguration
    xml.conversionType                                   StructPlain2XML
    xml.recordsetStructure          HEADER,1,DETAIL,*,TRAILER,1
    xml.HEADER.fieldNames           Field1,ISOCURCD,TRANKODE,IDENTIFIER,DATO,TIME
    xml.HEADER.fieldSeparator                     ";"
    xml.HEADER.keyFieldValue                     H
    xml.fieldSeparator                                      ";"(if i don't use this then the file is not being picked and getting an error in the CC monitoring of RWB saying xml.field separator missing.)
    Similarily for Detail and Trailer records as well.
    But when I run the scenario, the file is being picked up but I am not getting any payload into the inbound message.
    Can you please help me where I have configured wrongly. And one more thing will this configuration help for ; separated file .

  • How to set ApplIndentityData header field in JMS adapter

    Hi Guys ,
        I have one requirement for update the field in SAP JMS header. I am using transport protocol for IBM Websphere MQ in JMS adapter.
    While sending data to IBM Websphere MQ Queue via JMS Adapter, need to set the field called ApplIndentityData with the appropriate value which is populate to a MQHRF2 header of a message.
    So, regarding that where will do it? Means JMS receiver adapter or IBM MQ level. If JMS receiver adapter, I think using ASMA, So please guide me how to set this filed value in JMS adapter or share any document you have.
    Thanks & regards
    Vijaykumar S

    Hi RejaSekar,
           I reffered your blog and did the below settings in JMS module and ASMA settings.
    1) Changed the mode for u201CJMS-Complaintu201D instead of u201CWebsphere MQ(non JMS)u201D
    2) Additional JMS message properties tab created below property name and java type.
           LocalName    --> String
           Partname      -->  String
    3) In module parameter tab added the below module name and key
        AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean   -->  LocalEnterpriseBean  -->  RFH2HEADER
    4) Under parameter Tab
         RFH2HEADER       -->   key.0      -->     insert http://sap.com/XI/System/JMS  DCJMSMessageProperty0
         RFH2HEADER       -->   key.1      -->     insert http://sap.com/XI/System/JMS  DCJMSMessageProperty0
         RFH2HEADER      -->  value.0    -->    LocalName
         RFH2HEADER      -->  value.1    -->    PartnerName
    Kindly check the above settings whether this is correct or wrong. If anything wrong please let me know what we need to change JMS receiver adapter.
    Actually my requirement is need to set these parameters and set the value to that parameters and pass in to /usr folder of a WebsphereMQ message.
    Kindly check and help me out.
    Thanks & regards

  • Support for Topics in XI JMS Adapter

    Hello Everyone,
      I am trying to configure Topics instead of queues for JMS Adapter and I am not able to exchange messages with Topics. However, when I change Topics with Queues in JMS configuration file on XI 2.0, the scenario works okay.
      Can anyone let me know if JMS adapter for XI 2.0 or XI 3.0 supports topics. If yes, then what changes should I make in order to exchange messages with Topics via JMS adapter.
    Thanks,

    Hi Lalit,
    No support for JMS topics in SAP XI 2.0 nor XI 3.0.
    I don't know why it isn't supported.  Maybe SAP wants to avoid the hassle of configuring durable subscribers.  And customers forgetting to remove durable subscriptions whereby message pile up until the JMS broker runs out of disk space.
    Kind regards, Guy Crets

  • Special Characters not showing correctly in XI from JMS Adapter.

    Hi All,
    Scenario: IBM Websphere MQ->XI->CRM (RFC Adapter)
    We have a flat file being picked up by JMS adapter and content conversion is done. The scenario works fine except when specific swedish alphabets appear in the flat file. When i checked in XI, these characters appear as rubbish characters.
    I understand that we need to use CCSID and put the value 00819 in the CCSID of Destination field for the Comm Channel. However i still did not have any luck after changing this field. Do i need to flush my queues and restart MQ?
    Does anyone have any idea what i am missing?

    Hi Lookman,
    We need to make sure that the conversion to UFT-8 is done correctly, I see that as a potential cause. So first, stop the communication channel in XI, send a test file and download it from the Queue manger where XI is supposed to read the message from (using a tool like RFHUtil).
    Then use a code page detector tool (http://cpdetector.sourceforge.net/) to make sure that the data is indeed in UTF-8.
    By the way, the destination code page field in a Sender communication channel has no effect(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c1/739c4186c2a409e10000000a155106/content.htm).

  • JMS Adapter - Correlation ID

    Hi,
    I am looking to use the JMS Adapter to put a message on a Queue (ActiveMQ), which is consumed and serviced as a request with a correlating JMS Message being produced as a response.
    An  Async Message is created by the client and forwarded to the JMS adapter via an AMF Channel which creates the actual JMS TextMessage and puts it on the queue, in response my clent receives the Acknowledgement (MessageAckEvent) which contains a correlationID in the format:
    9D90B26-2006-52C7-FE31-70926243CDBE
    Which is attained form the request messageID - A'OK
    The poblem is the JMS TextMessage created does not contain the correlationID !  The JMS Adapter code does this:
    public Object invoke(Message message)
    // named Flex message props become JMS headers
    Map msgProps = message.getHeaders();
    msgProps.put(JMSConfigConstants.TIME_TO_LIVE, new Long(message.getTimeToLive()));
    The correlationID like time to live is not in the AsyncMessage headers - Im thinking this could be an issue, does anyone agree ?
    I think the correlationID should be populated in the same way as time to live.
    There is also another issue in terms of the flex client creating the original Async Message. This has a property of correlationID which is able to be set, though in terms of the JMS Adapter this is ignored. If I set this property manually and send to the JMS Adapter the correlation ID in the Ack does not contain what I set, and again holds the messageID.  To be fair I think this is not the intended use of the correlationID property, and is for correlation within internal topics, but from the JMS Adapter point of view looks a bit weird.
    Can anyone confirm if they think my ramblings are something that could be raised as an issue or whether I have just missed the point completely as Im not very good at reading documentation :-)
    Cheers,
    Jonathan.

    I looked into the wsdl and xsd file which correspond to my JMS Adapter.
    There is one line:
    <jca:header message="hdr:InboundHeader_msg" part="inboundHeader"/>
    Is there a way to add this information to
    <message name="JMSCorrelationProcessRequest_msg">
    <part name="JMSCorrelationProcessRequest" element="imp1:JMSCorrelationProcessRequest"/>
    </message>
    If this is possible i can access the header variables in BPEL...

  • Dynamic configuration bean in JMS Adapter

    Hello Experts,
    My scenario is JMS(Active MQ) to File.Its just Passthrough scenario and no mapping involved.
    Filename will be coming in one of the JMS Property (say businessId) and I need to set this filename to file adapter.
    I have refered the stefan's blog and used the Dynamic configuration bean module in sender JMS adapter.
    getFilename key.1 write http://sap.com/xi/System/JMS DCJMSMessageProperty4
    getFilename value.1 module.filename
    setFilename key.1 read http://sap.com/xi/System/File FileName
    setFilename value.1 module.filename
    But required filename is not populated in the target File.Any other configuration is missing here?

    Hi Karthiga
    Did you set the ASMA properties in both your sender JMS channel and receiver File channel?
    For the JMS adapter, as shown below, you will need to enter the DCJMSMessageProperty4 into the table
    Configuring the Sender JMS Adapter - Configuring the JMS Adapter in the Integration Directory/PCK - SAP Library
    If you want to set additional JMS message attributes, select Specify Additional JMS Message Properties (Maximum of 10).
    In the table, enter the names of the JMS message properties whose values are to be included in the message header of the PI message.
    The technical names of the additional attributes are DCJMSMessageProperty0, DCJMSMessageProperty1, ..., DCJMSMessageProperty9.
    For the File adapter, you need to check the ASMA FileName attribute.
    Once you have this configured, in your message, you should be able to see that the value is in the DynamicConfiguration section of the SOAP header.
