All SAP Gurus,
We have posted the wrong GR (by mistake).
Part I cptured during GR (MIGO).
Part II also posted.
Now, we came to know that there is problem with GR, so we want to reverse GR and Excise entries.
What are the steps to be followed?

Cancel the GR document if usage decision is not done. for Excise post the document using transaction J1IEX and then cancel the document with same trasaction.
If usage decision is done by quality the do the return delivery and create out going excise invoice using transaction J1IS.

Hi Jakub,
Yes, you can query TDM files for samples with certain specifications. Take a look at this Tutorial Introduction to LabVIEW Data Storage VIs. The section on Query Conditions demonstrates how to look for select samples using the Data Storage express VIs.

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion. Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

Just noticed the same problem. I was able to do it before updating. Hope there's a simple answer. That is a big reason why I got the iPad and iBooks.

Part 1 not Post for excess of qty

Hi.
I have one problem during STO
When i despetch 1 Material total of 108 KG in different batch say B1(40),B2(41) and B3(27)
I make delivery say DEL1
I make excise invoice say EXC1 for qty 108 for three batch
when i go for MIGO against outbound delivery DEL1 and enter excise invoice EXC! with Part 1 system shows me error message Part 1 not Post for excess GR qty
and in excise tab it shows qty for 1 batch only say B3 for all item tab.

Two way,
1) Cancel Good receipt document with MIGO t-code and create new document for material receipt and capture part 1.
2) Go J1IEX - capture excise invoice against your material document.
Than post it with J1IEX.

Music Video displays wrong ARTWORK. Displays a POSTER FRAME rather than the JPG that I have given it.

I am using ITunes 11.05.5 on Windows 7 Professional.   Have thousands of videos ... MP4 Music Videos.   I make my own "ARTWORK" (on JPG per artist for all music videos by that artist). I place the artwork in the file by "GET INFO", "ARTWORK", copy in my own JPG Image.    I confirm that there is only one image in the ARTWORK and that it is the correct image.   When I save and go back to the GET INFO everthing is fine.   When I view it in MS Explorer or in ID3-TAG the ARTWORK is also fine.   This process works fine for most everything but unexplainably fails and I can't fix it on certain occasions.
THE FAILURE:    Let me explain the problem that occurs on rare occasions (and once it occurs I can't ever fix it).   Lets say I have 5 music videos from the artist, John Jones.    I embed my own artwork (the same ARTWORK for all music videos from this same artist, John Jones) and all five videos group under the proper. same ARTWORK in the GRID VIEW.   Now, I obtain another music video from John Jones, once again I put the same ARTWORK on this file and now when I go into GRID VIEW it displays a POSTER FRAME (of that artist, John Jones) that I have never seen (although it must have come from the video since it is a POSTER FRAME of John Jones) ..... from that point on, all six music videos from John Jones also display that same ARTWORK (the wrong poster frame - but same poster frame for all John Jones music videos) even tho the first five were displaying properly before (but not longer).     It is as if a POSTER FRAME of John Jones is in cache and associated with the artist John Jones and can not be deleted.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ITunes, but it doesn't work.    I have tried deleting the new Music Video that I added and that started the problem (number six); hoping the the original five would return to nomal ... but that does not work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

this one is actually a really rare symptom of a flaky connection to the ipod on a Windows PC. there's more going on in terms of hardware on nanos and 5th gens than in the earlier models ... so if the connection is flaky to precisely the right/wrong degree, itunes will see the ipod, but misidentify it as an earlier version of ipod.
tracking down the cause of the flakiness can be tricky ... as you already know ...
just checking. have you tried connecting with a different (known-good) USB cable? does that seem to have any impact on the rate of occurence of the problem?

Editing XML in ePub files (also posted in ID forum)

I posted this in the InDesign forum a few days ago but got no response, so I'm trying here. My apologies for the double-up.
I'm about to start preparing ePUB files (from InDesign CS4) for a particular distributor whose instructions state:
"Text encoding should all be in UTF-8 (this can be checked in the OPF, the first line should be “<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>” ".
When I check my initial test files using PDFXML Inspector (with pretty printing turned off — thanks Gabriel Powell) the first line states only “<?xml version="1.0"?>”.
I ran a test by simply adding the "encoding="UTF-8"" bit to that line and everything seems to work fine in Calibre and Digital Editions (as it did with the unedited version — there seems to be no difference).
BUT, is this the correct way to do things or am I inadvertently setting myself up for disaster?
Does InDesign automatically export with text encoded as UTF-8 — or some other format?
Are there other settings in InDesign which alter the way text is encoded and the XML is generated?
AND — my other question...
This distributor is also asking for additional metadata entries.
Can I integrate them anywhere within the metadata or are there particular ordering protocols that need to be adhered to?
As you can see, I'm an XML ignoranti and any assistance will be most gratefully received.

Please be aware that I have not got any ePubs to the retail stage as yet, I was working flatout on a bunch of ePubs for a few months when the project got put on the backburner — so my experience is limited.
I'm not sure what your process is, but InDesign CS4 does an OK job of creating ePubs — just so long as you set the files up correctly (eg. the easiest way to get page breaks between chapters is to save each chapter as a separate InDesign file and then combine them in a book. ALSO, everything should be styled using paragraph, character and oject styles)
Unless CS5 has SIGNIFICANT upgraded support for ePub, you might be wasting your money.

He gives the most outstanding introduction to ePUB from InDesign I've yet seen.

A couple of things I found I needed to do to get ePubs looking right in anything other than ADE:
• I got a better result if I wrote my own CSS — InDesign does not do a good job of this at all, AFAIC. Export style names only and use these as the basis for your CSS.
• Indesign fails to list fonts in the manifest, so if you want to specify your own fonts you need to add them manually and reference them in the manifest. Don't bother trying to embed fonts at export — it causes too many problems, it seems.
• The only thing I need to do in the xhtml files is fix a few non-alpha characters sometimes (like bullets, apostrophes, quotes, etc) I've no idea why these sometimes fail and sometimes don't.
FYI:
I use both Calibre and ADE to view ePubs — because they will each highlight different issues.
I built my CSS and a few other bits and pieces in Text Edit — this makes it easy to re-use things like the CSS for multiple publications.
I use PDFXML Inspector to do the editing — this allows siginificant editing capability without the need to unpack the ePub.
And I use Terminal to repackage ePubs (ie. after adding a fonts folder, or whatever) — using the command lines in Gabriel Powell's tutorial.
ie. I've spent nothing on additional software — it's all either free or already on the Mac.
It's a very steep, frustrating learning curve — LOTS of trial and LOTS of error. But it's also fun.

Ordinal Problem - also posted in InDesign Scripting

I am running InDesign CS3 on XP. I know there are other posts about ordinal problems, but none seem to lead me to a solution.
My many fonts work with ordinal in MS Word when typing numbers like 22nd, 36th, etc. However, the same fonts in InDesign do NOT display ordinal type. Only a select few fonts work with ordinal in InDesign. When I scroll to the "Open Type" submenu for most fonts, ordinal is in brackets [ordinal]. I still select it, but nothing comes of it. Even with basic fonts like Tiimes New Roman.
Any ideas of how to fix this? Just seems odd when the fonts work in MS Office but not Adobe.

It can't be done (safely -- see below) with a single GREP; 1st, 2nd, 3rd need special handling.
In general, you can look for
(?<=\d)th\b
and replace with no text, just Superscript in the Change To formatting. This looks for any text "th" with a number on its left (the parenthesized expression), and a clear word break on its right (the backslash b).
"1st" needs
(?<=1)st\b
"2nd" and "3rd" need
(?<=2)nd\b (?<=3)rd\b
If your text allows it, you can try to do all at once:
(?<=\d)(st|nd|rd|th)\b
-- this way you also automatically pick up wrong ordinals, such as "1nd".

G/L a/c and "Only part 1" while posting MIGO

I am posting MIGO, while posting I am getting the following error msg:
1) G/L a/l 300030 does not exit in the chart of account INT , msg no 8i195,
I have created the account 300030 in FS01, but still I am getting the same error saying account is not maintained in english language.
Also, what necessary setting have to done to get " only part 1" posting tab when we select ok item and select excise invoice tab.

Part 1 ledger got updated but part 2 value is coming as 0 while checking in J1I7.In MIGO base value and excise duties are captured correctly.
How to get the values updated in Part 2 ledger?

and in J1I& check your selection parameter like excise group and material should be correct

Dear guru's,
User is trying to post the Excise Part-2 by using the T.code : J1IEX , but he is getting the error message " Balance in transaction currency".
Detailed Error message is
"A balance has occurred in transaction currency 'INR' with the following details:
Exchange rate '00', amount ' 0.02' and currency key 'INR'.
The data in the transaction currency were transferred from the calling application."
system response "Your data cannot be processed in FI."
can any one help me to resovle the issue? Suitable answers will be rewareded.

Third Part Remittance - Garnishment posting

While doing the Third party posting for Garnishments, it works fine when the EE doesn't have a retro. But if the EE has a retro, it doesn't post. It gives a message saying its already evaluated in the prior pay period. Can someone tell me how to overcome this issue.

865PE CPU Voltage Limitation? (also posted an P4 based board 2 days ago)

Hello everybody,
I already posted that at P4 based board, but I thought posting it here as well, as you're more likely to play with such settings and values.
I have a P4 2.4C oc @ 3.3GHz with [email protected] The only thing keeping me "down" here is that if I set Vcore to 1.9Volts or higher my system won't boot at all. The screen stays black, and the CPU surely doesn't work as it stays cold. Loading BIOS default values is a pain in the a... as insert won't work (for some of you this is delete for your mobos) and usually the only way is to turn the PSU off while the mobo tries to boot. Any clue why this happens???
-Is it a defect of the board?
-Is it a protection limit of the board? Then why it allows much higher values?
-Is it a defect of the CPU?
-A protection limit of the CPU?
-A PSU problem? I own a cheap (for it's watts) 550PSU.
Please help! I want more speed!

Your temperatures are too high, which leads me to think we and other pople have a sensor problem or something similar.
I think it could be a combination of things as I have just tried a few tests with and without my case cover on and the results are only 1C lower without the case cover on.
Currently I am getting CPU 59C Idle NB 39C Idle and only 3C higher under load. I think that if the ambient air temp is very high (like it has been in London for the past week) it causes the sensor to overload or go haywire as it cannot cope. I am pretty sure that the Intel thermal protection is very good (if it does not work they have to replace you CPU if it is under the 3 year warranty) so they must be pretty confident of its abilities.
The other thing to consider is that I also de-installed PC Alert4 and went back to PC-Alert3 which seems to be more accurate when comparing between the 2 within the space of a few minutes as PCA3 showed 10C less CPU & 13C less NB.
Probably a combination of PCA4 and poor sensor methinks.
I doubt if extra case fans will make a huge difference but will still another 1 in just in case as they are cheap.
