Wrong highlight order!!!

I know this issue has been touched on before... but I'm wondering if there are any new solutions! For some unknown reason, when more than one button is placed on a menu, or sub-menu, the highlight -- in preview mode or when you burn the disc -- immediately goes to the very bottom button, the last chapter, exactly the OPPOSITE of where it should go! In other words, it's as if the iDVD designer felt a viewer would want to start at the last chapter and work his way back to the first!!
This design is completely insane...and I'm wondering if anyone has any brilliant ideas to "trick" the program into working properly, so the DVD you create might actually resemble a normal, professional DVD you would buy at a store, and not some half-assed, ill-conceived disc created by an amateur using a faulty program like iDVD.
Power Mac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I wonder if you imported your chapter in reverse order - ie. import the last chapter first to the first chapter last, if it would then highlight it in the correct order? If you set the buttons to then free positioning you can put them in the right order? Just a thought not an ideal solution but maybe a possibility.
I don't know if iDVD6 is the same as 5 in this, but I did notice with one of the v5 themes, the chapters always came in on the submenu in reverse order, with the last chapter at the top of the list. I, of course, reversed them when creating the DVD. When I played it in a DVD player, the ordered positions remained from the 'bottom up.' You can't import the chapters in reverse order because iMovie orders them by their timed position in the movie.
If you could know the order of the button selection BEFORE creating the DVDs, one could simply place the correct buttons in that order. I guess it would look funny and out of order on the screen, but the button-select order would be correct.
I always number each title of my chapters so that I don't get confused as to which comes next. I guess I don't really mind if the DVD seems to get them out of order--so long as they are numbered correctly it is easy to select the right chapter.

  • Wrong track order in ipod

My ipod has the wrong track order for at least three different albums of three different artists. Its only one song on each of the albums. All the album info is correct and in itunes the songs are all in the right order. I've restored the ipod twice to no avail. Any ideas

the only thing I can suggest is make sure your playlists are in the right order when syncing, so maybe have your albums in the right order when syncing? I know my purchased playlist is in whatever order I sorted it last...usually by play count. SO my most played song is at the top of that playlist. Maybe it works like that for albums too, so make sure the songs on the album are sorted by track #

  • Chapter Highlight Order in Reflection White

I'm having very frustrating problems with the chapter button highlighting order on a DVD created using the Reflection White theme. I have two pages with 6 buttons on each page. Each pages use a different highlighting order and neither page uses the order that I want.
Each page has 6 chapter buttons arranged in two rows of three. The buttons where correctly placed in left to right, top to bottom order. This is the highlight order which should be used. If I'm starting with the upper left button highlighted, pushing the right arrow button on the remote should highlight the buttons in this order: UL, UM, UR, LL, LM, LR, UL, etc.
The problem is that the actual highlight order is very different. One page produces the order: UL, LM, UM, LR, UR, LL, UL, etc. The other page has this order: UL, LL, LM, UM, LR, UR, UL, etc. Obviously, this is very non-intuitive and inconsistent.
    (Note: U = Upper, L = Lower, xL = Left, xM = Middle, xR = Right)
I've tried everything I could think of to correct the order. I've tried creating new submenus and dragging the buttons to it in order, copying the buttons to it in order, copying the buttons in an order which would put them in their current highlight order, then rearranging them, and even digging into the project file using PListEditor Pro. It seems like iDVD is probably generating the order automatically as it's encoding the menus, and that the length chapter names may be affecting the order. (The names on my disc are very specific and can not be changed.)
Has anyone figured out how to get the chapter menu buttons in Reflection White to highlight in a logical order rather than something that seems, well, like a drunken stagger?
    PowerBook G4/500   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

The only solution I came up with was using the first theme page from Reflecton White. Then using portfolio color for the remainder theme pages. I too report the bug to Apple, there are a few other themes that work in the same fashion for example Reflection Black.

  • Photos sync from iPhone 9.4.2 got wrong display order in iOS 6

First of all, before I updated iPhoto to the newest version 9.4.2, all things worked fine.
I have set iTunes to sync photos to my new iPad from my iPhoto library, and I have create many smart albums. I know the display order of the photos synced to iPad is sorted by the photo's create time. and it's ok for me.
But after I updated to iPhoto 9.4.2, the problem come. The photos in the smart album on iPad got wrong display order. The order now is sorted by rotation! the landscape direction comes first, then the portrait direction after that. After some time study, I found this only affect the photos which are newly imported to iPhoto. The photos imported before I updated the iPhoto work fine.
Then I tried to create a totally new iPhoto library which contains the whole same set of all the photos, and continued to create the same smart albums. After I synced to the iPad again, the display order of all the smart album got wrong! They all sorted by rotation!
The display order in iPhoto itself on my MacBook was fine. The problem only occurs on my iPad.
I tried all my best to figure out why, and failed, then I thought it may be caused by the update of the iPhoto.
Yesterday, I visited Apple Retail Store, and met some geniuses. They didn't solve this either.
    Can anyone help me? Thanks!

  • Wrong sort order for rapid sequences of images

When I have a sequence of shots taken at high speed, i.e. a number of them have the same timestamp, being taken within the same second, I find that LR displays some of them out of order. For instance, I have a sequence of 5 frames all with timestamp 9/4/07 2:17:32pm and the file names show up in this order - 1740, 1742, 1741, 1743, 1744 (these are the file names assigned by the camera)
The frames show in this order with any of the sort order options selected except, of course, File Name, and in that one instance they display in the correct order.
Is there a way I can specify in LR that I want to sort in Capture Time order then within that in file name order? This would give me the result I want. The reason I don't want to simply use file name order is that with images from different cameras with differing file naming conventions, or with file names I may have applied, that would not give me correct time sequence as shot. I want to see a whole day's images in correct time sequence regardless of file name.
If there is not a way to specify this in LR, should I add this to the Feature Request list?

Capture Time and Import Order do the same thing.
Additional information - I see the same wrong sequence is presented in the import dialog when I try to import the same photos again (they happen to still be on the card). So, I think it is initially caused by the order that the camera lays down the photos in the file structure on the card, or in the way that Windows reads them off the disk. (I have a Canon EOS 30D, SanDisk CF card, using a card reader rather than plugging the camera to the PC.)
If I use the import dialog's renaming process (in my test I chose filename - sequence) and apply a sequence number to the images the sequence number ends up wrong. So LR is importing the photos in the wrong order (may not be LR's fault?)
So, this modifies the definition of the problem and of the feature request. No longer is it simply the sort order displayed in the library; it needs to be addressed at import time as well.
Here is my attempt to redefine the feature request:
    - when importing images that are taken in rapid sequence (multiple shots within the same second) LR should allow for sorting the images by camera-derived file name to correct out-of-sequence delivery from the card/camera. This sort order, when selected, should re-arrange the preview thumbnails so the photographer can verify the images will be imported in the correct order.

  • "View- Sort Photos- By Title" produces WRONG sorting order!

    Hello,
I have a set of pictures named Scan 1.jpg, Scan 2.jpg, Scan 3.jpg, etc... up to Scan 102.jpg
They all belong to the same "Event" in iPhoto.
When I am inside that Event, I need them to be sorted by their name (Scan 1, Scan 2, Scan 3, etc).
So I choose the option: View->Sort Photos->By Title
However, that shows pictures in the wrong order, as follows: Scan 1, Scan 10, Scan 100, Scan 101, Scan 102, Scan 11, Scan 12, Scan 13, etc, Scan 19, Scan 2, Scan 20, Scan 21, Scan 21, etc... The logic is clear but it is wrong!
Finder recognizes the correct order of files, named in such way, so why doesn't iPhoto?!
Please suggest if you have any solutions OTHER than renaming the original files to Scan 001, Scan 002, etc. I assume that would work, but I really would hate to spend time on renaming. There must be an easier way. I am surprised that iPhoto makes this mistake in the first place - I remember coming across this issue during Windows Explorer times. When I switched to Mac it was a pleasant surprise that Finder understands in such situations that the order should be 1, 2 3, 4, 5 etc and not 1, 10, 100, 11, 110, 111, 12, etc. What a disappointment to bump into that bug in iPhoto! I hope there is a solution. Please advise!
    Thanks everyone in advance.

That's been an issue with several apps for a while. You can batch rename the titles in iPhoto using the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Title to Text menu option with the check box checked to add a sequential number to each photo.
You can always revert back to the original file name using the same menu option.

  • PE4 File Export giving wrong field order

In PE4, when I execute File-Export with the following settings:
    General/File Type: Microsoft DV AVI
    Video/Compressor: DV PAL
Keyframe and Rendering/Fields: Upper Field First
It creates the AVI OK, but GSPOT shows that the AVI is Lower Field First, not Upper Field First as specified in the settings.
Why?  Is this a bug or does selecting DV force LFF (if so, then why isn't the UFF option greyed out in the settings?).
What I am trying to do is create some smaller sub-projects in the form of AVI's, which I will eventually import into a final large project.  The source files for the subprojects are mpgs from an HD camcorder, so they are Upper Field First (UFF), and so I am using the PAL Harddisk project preset, which expects source files to be UFF.
Since my final project will include both UFF mpgs and those AVI subprojects, I want the AVIs to be UFF also, so that I don't have to selectively reverse field orders etc.
    Is this wrong?
    Thanks
    Dave

==> "You can even use Premiere Elements for the conversion by applying field order reversal and then exporting to DV-AVI."
Splitting hairs I know, but again to clarify for me:
For the initial conversion to DV-AVI, if I start a project in PE4 with a UFF preset, bring in my UFF mpgs, then export to DV-AVI (WITHOUT applying field order reversal), is this doing the same as what you suggest?  That is, in this case, the field reversal is taken care of by PE4 behind the scenes because I told it to do so by using a UFF preset?  Or do I still need to manually reverse the fields?
Sorry to be dense, but there seems to be many ways to do the same thing, and I'm trying to figure out the simplest and least error prone way to do it.

  • Wrong internal order budet been carry forward, reverse KOCO

    Hi SAP Expert,
Our customer is select variatn SAP&01 in KOCO for budget carry forward process on end of 2009. Order type Z001, Z002 & Z003 is been carry forward.
Now user find out that order type Z001 & Z003 should not be carry forward from 2009 to 2010.
Is there any posting or tcode to revese back internal order document been posted in 2010 for order type Z001 & Z003?
The wrong document been carry forward is posted with activity "CfSdr" .
Please advice is there any possible to reverse carry forward run or do manual posting adjustment to offset amount been carry forward from 2009 to 2010.
    Thanks.
    regards,
    ng chong chuan

    Hello Chong Chuang,
It is possible to process the carry forward program more than once for
a fiscal year.  Each time, budgets are carried forward that were NOT
    included in previous runs.
To rerun the carry forward program, you do this directly in the KOCO
transaction.  There is no specific reversal option, since the
system only carries forward amounts which were previously NOT
carried forward.  You simply rerun the program for the fiscal year
desired.  You can try this in TEST run to begin with, to
verify what amounts will be carried forward.
I hope this information helps you.
    Kind regards,

  • MRP minimums suggest wrong purchase orders

    Hi,
We have a problem with a customer that is usign the MRP the message is in SAP and turn it to de SDN forums for a correction in a future release. In the following DRQ you can look for the DRQ and message that have the detail of the wrong behaivor.
Description of requirements: (Please provide a detailed description)
This case was reported because if we run the MRP wizard tool using minimums it doesn´t recognize the PO created. When we create a new PO to satisfy the minimum required or any sale order which their lead time required is less than 21 days after the PO created (it means that the items will not arrive at time to satisfy to the client) the system do not recognize this PO created and still requesting it u201Cnu201D times to satisfy this demand because it will never satisfy it, and that´s because the lead time with most of our suppliers are 21 days and some articles which are expired or will be soon, still requesting until the items arrives at the warehouse and be registered in the system.
Most of our articles (70% aprox.) come from foreign suppliers and the lead times that we have with them are 21 days; so as you can see is very necessary for us that the MRP tool run well because that means that the responsible to make the purchases will trust in the MRP recommendations to make the purchase process faster than it is right now and principally because we want to control our stocks to reduce it at least in 40-50%.
Valid as of: (Date that this legal requirement is applicable)
    No legal requirement.
*Business needs: (Please describe the impact on your business, if the
    functionality is not realized)*
the system can create false purchase orders, this alters the integrity of the information to make actual purchases

  • Wrong track order on import

    Hi Everybody-
Usually I can fix this problem but this one CD stumped me and I can't get the tracks in order on iTunes 11 ( which *****, IMHO)
If I change setting to import time/date then the tracks line up fine but that changes the order of the artists and I like them alphabetized.
So...  What am I doing wrong ? I've already spent an hour on this and re-imported the cd.
    Thanks

When I have issues importing CD's on iTunes, I use Music Brainz.
Its scans the files, organize the id3 tag, covers etc.
    Hope that helps

  • Wrong production order connected to a sales order - how to change?

    Hello all!
We are using ERP ECC6 - I now I'm in SCM but this has to do with PP and there was no other forum.
    I have following problem:
After the MRP a production order was created for a sales order. Because of the production in another plant
the production order which was created automatically had to be technically completed and a new one
    created.
If you want to check now the availability, the sales order finds nothing, because it's linked to the one,
which was technically completed. Now is the question how can I change the production order for this
sales order. (In the production order the correct sales order is connected!)
Is there a way / transaction to reconnect the wrong one?
As I found out it's connected to the field AUFNR in the table VBEP. But how can I change this
field within a transaction and not in the database?!?
    Help urgently needed,
    Thanks Barbara

    Hi Nandha,
actually this causes the problem. We use special procurement key 80 - production in another plant.
The problem is that we don't want to produce all orders in this plant. And SAP doesn't allow us,
to use the special procurement depending on for example a special order type.
We have an order type which is used for rebuilding the completed machine, but this needs to
be done in the other plant. This are just a few orders a day, but there has to be a "clean"
    solution for them.
    Thanks,
    Barbara

  • Interlaced footage in secondary preview - wrong field order.

I just got CS5 Production Premium and an EVGA GTX 465, which is basically a GTX470 with less CUDA cores (352 instead of 448). I added the card to the list in the Premiere CS5 txt file (the so called hack) and everything seems to work perfect except for one thing. When I play back interlaced footage that I shot with either of my two AVCHD cameras (Canon HF100 and Panasonic AG-HMC40), the footage in the TV set (which is setup as my second monitor) will play with the fields in the right order but after a few seconds it will start playing as if it were progressive, or as if the fields were in the wrong order. Then, eventually, it will go back to play the fields in the right order, and then the wrong order, and go back and forth like that. It switches every ten or twenty seconds. This happens both when the footage is played back in the source window and in the timeline.
Thanks to the GPU acceleration, it plays smoothly always even with added effects and even with different tracks at different opacity levels (I tried three tracks, one at 25%, another at 50% and the other at 100% and it played without skipping a frame), but I don't understand why it doesn't always send the right field order. I wonder if it has anything to do with the cable that goes to the TV set, since it's DVI on the end that I connect to the video card, and HDMI on the other end. Regardless of that, I purchased the cable from Monoprice and it's a very thick, well shielded cable. The card comes with a mini HDMI output, but the cable that comes with it is not long enough to reach the TV. Still, I'm not sure that it would make a difference.
Is this happening to any of you? Could this be a problem with the card itself, with my footage, or with Premiere?
Note: I had switched the "Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration" to "Compatibility mode" in the Nvidia control panel and it didn't make a difference in anything related to CS5, whether it's this particular problem or anything else.

    JSS1138 wrote:
We should probably just get the details, instead of speculation on what hardware is being used.
Oh, the system is pretty fast, but Premiere always took a huge toll when external preview was enabled, it was like that in CS3 and CS4 as well. But here are my system specs just in case:
    AMD 1090T @3.8 Ghz (stable)
    16 GB of DDR3 G.Skill RAM
    Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5
Western Digital 1.5 Gb Black Edition (as one of the video drives, the OS drive is a standard WD)
    EVGA GTX465 1 GB
So while this may not be the fastest computer in the world, it's more than fast enough for HD, with 6 cores and 16 GB of RAM.
This is something that's either wrong with Premiere's design, but maybe there's a workaround, which is what I'm trying to get to. I've been trying many things in the "Manage 3D" section of the Nvidia control panel, but nothing seems to work. VSync on or off, Triple Buffering, etc, etc, the problem is still there.
Obviously if I right click on the monitor window and instead of "Both Fields" I choose either first or second field, I get just that, but I don't see why do I have to edit interlaced video with just one field instead of both.
