Wrong Reciever message interface name in SXMB_MONI in PI7.1

Hi All,
Some of the interfaces that are getting executed in PI7.1 have wrong reciever message interface name in SXMB_MONI view.
In SOAP Envelope
1.Reciever message interface name is getting populated in <SAP:Sender> tag and
2. Sender message interface name is getting populated in <SAP:Receiver> tag.
But the end to end message flow is getting executed succesfully.
It is not particular to any one of the interfaces. It is occuring randomly.
Did any one encounter this problem earlier? Please share your inputs to resolve the same.
Thanks,
Younus.

Hi,
The SAP note mentioned - contains details specific to SOAP Adapter.
The problem which we have mentioned is occurring across adapters.
Even in SICF transaction. All the details have been correctly maintained.
Any further steps to resolve the issue will be helpful.
Thanks,
Younus

  • Get/set message interface name in adapter module

    Hello,
From an adapter module, I'd like to get or even set the Message Interface name of the message that is handed over to the function "process" of the adapter module.
I've got two context's, sessioncontext and modulecontext. With both contexts, you can get values from that context. I'm not sure which context has the message interface name of the message currently being processed, and I'm also not sure what that value is called (moduleContext.getContextData("name");).
The reason for this is that sometimes you'd like to do something different depending on the type of message being processed.
If anyone knows how to do this, I'd be glad to hear.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
    Greetings, Walter.

    Hi Walter,
It is fairly easy to get the interface name. When you have extracted the XIMessage there is a parameter, which allows you get the Action, where you can get the interface name.
I have tried to change the interface name. You need to create a new message an copy the content from the old message over to this. This is a little tricky and I'm not able to get any code samples for you.

I don't know mean of message interface. Can you send me documan or example for this topic.
Second; I don't know security of web services.

    Hi,
You can create webservice for message interfaces as same as you created for FM, BAPI...
Here you need to mention the message interface  name for which you need to create webservice..

  • Payload via the message interface

    Hi all,
Is it possible to get the payload/log information for the XI message from the table SXMSPMAST via the message interface name ?
    Thanks for your help

    Nope.
But you can get details from table SXMSPEMAS. I think best would be you can create a view with join on MSGGUID with SXMSPMAST and then you can filter records base on messsage interface name. Field "OB_NAME / IB_NAME" from table  SXMSPEMAS indicate outputbound / inbound  interface name respectively.
You can find all othe fields here.. Interface Namespace, Communication Party..so on.
    Hope this will help.

  • Wlc monitor client detail show wrong interface name

    Hi,
Do anyone know why I see the wrong interface name when looking at the client details?
In the shown example the interface name should have been id017_publikunm not id161_admin
The vlan nunmer 2317 and IP address 10.17.237.x is correct for id017_publikum.
I hope some one out there can help.
    Aksel,

I know its an old post but I encountered the same problem recently. What I did was I went to the same client properties and clicked on the remove button. It removed the association and when I filtered for the same client mac address I could see it has connected to the correct interface. So it was getting the correct IP Address also.............problem solved :)

  • Message Interface in SXMB

    Hi,
I had configured an Message Interface and successfully tested and transported to Production.
I had checked the cache and everything seems to be fine.
Unusually, the MI is not appearing in the list of interfaces in SXMB_MONI.
But if i manually keyin the name and search, I am getting the search results.
    What would ahve gone wrong?
    Regards
    Krish

    Hi,
Have you tried a cache refresh?
Try the cache refresh with the link:
    http://host:j2eeport/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
    http://host:j2eeport/CPACache/monitor.jsp
    - In Integration Repository/Directory go to menu Environment ->
    Clear SLD Data Cache
    - In R/3 go to transaction SXI_CACHE -> menu XI Runtime Cache -> Start
    Complete Cache Refresh

  • Error message when opening Outlook: The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.

In an Exchange 2010 server/Outlook 2013 environment, one of our users is getting an error message every time they start Outlook. The error message says: "The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error. If the problem

Size of .pst file: 2.3 GB (Unicode format so there should be plenty of space left)
    OS: Windows 7 (64-Bit)
    Application: Outlook 2013 (32-Bit)
The user upgraded from Outlook 2010 a few months ago and the error message has only recently started appearing on startup. I thought it was a corrupt mail profile, so I have already tried creating a new mail profile, as well as the repairing tool in Outlook.
I even tested another email account and that worked just fine. So apparently it is something wrong with the specific user's account/profile and not something wrong with the computer - since my email account worked fine on his computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same error message, only in my situation Outlook would only open successfully every 4 or 5 attempts. When Outlook would open (versus just hanging at the splash screen), I would get two dialog boxes with the warning/error message.
After I clicked okay I could get into Outlook.
Previously I experienced this problem running my Office 2010 client with my Exchange 2007 mailbox on my old laptop.  The problem followed my mailbox through an Exchange 2010 migration (so new Exchange org), client upgrade to Outlook 2013, and a new
laptop (so I knew it wasn't a corrupt profile).  This led me to the conclusion that it was a corrupt item(s) in my mailbox.
To resolve the issue, I archived *everything* in my mailbox to a PST file, ran SCANPST to fix the corruption, and then uploaded everything back into my Exchange mailbox one folder at a time, stopping after each folder to close and restart Outlook so I could
narrow down which folder had the corrupt item if the problem recurred.  I'm happy to say my issue is now resolved.

  • Setting interface name dynamically from client for SOAP Adapter...

    Hi,
does anyone have experience in setting the sender interface name in the HTTP-SOAP request dynamically? I have followed the instructions in "How To Use the XI 3.0 SOAP Adapter" on page 17 (see also SAP Note 856597) which say:
"If you select Use Encoded Headers and Use Query String,
[...]The sender SOAP adapter creates the XI message header according to the
information provided in the query string. [...] In the sender SOAP adapter, you can use only some of the parameters, but the first
parameter must always be the version. For example, you send from the Web service client to the following URL: http://<host>:<j2ee-port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=<party>:<service>:<channel>&version=3.0&Interface=http%3A
    %2F%2Fsap.com%2Ftest%5ETest
This will overwrite the default interface and namespace of the sender channel."
This is exactly what I need! However, what I actually get as a response following this description is a SOAP:Fault with a java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1.
Has anyone got this to work properly?
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your input. I am using the following format for the call (with "x" standing for one letter each):
    http://xix.xxx.xx.xxx:5xx00/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:xx_xxx_xxx_xxxx:xx_xxx_x_SOAP_S&version=3.0&Interface=http%3A%2F%2Fxxxxxxxx.xx%2Fxxxxxx%2Fxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx%5Exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Anything wrong with that? With unchecked "Use Encoded Headers" and "Use Query String" it works fine (default interface) but as soon as I set these flags I get the SOAP-Fault response.
We are on XI 3.0 SPS18.

  • Question about message interface

I developed a jdbc to file scenario, it works, but I'm confused.
I designed a message interface for jdbc outbound,
    CustomerRow
    |--row
         |--CUST_NO
         |--......
I set Document Name = 'resultset' in jdbc sender adapter.
I can see payload in SXMB_MONI.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <resultset>
    - <row>
      <CUST_NO>pp3433</CUST_NO>
      <SALES_ORG>org1</SALES_ORG>
      <DISTRIBUTION_CHANNEL>dis1</DISTRIBUTION_CHANNEL>
      <DIVISION>div1</DIVISION>
      <FLAG>N</FLAG>
      <LAST_UPDATE>2008/11/05 15:24:53:843</LAST_UPDATE>
      </row>
    - <row>
      <CUST_NO>ppy3233</CUST_NO>
      <SALES_ORG>org2</SALES_ORG>
      <DISTRIBUTION_CHANNEL>dis2</DISTRIBUTION_CHANNEL>
      <DIVISION>div2</DIVISION>
      <FLAG>N</FLAG>
      <LAST_UPDATE>2008/11/05 15:24:53:843</LAST_UPDATE>
      </row>
      </resultset>
You noticed that resultset is not 'CustomerRow' in message interface which I defined.
I don't know how it can work.

The parameter Document Name should ideallly contain ur Message Type root name. As u have changed it to 'resultset', it is replaced at the sender adapter and then flow continues.
There are very few occasions when success raises a question

  • XI message interface type

    Hi ,
I have scenario file-XI-R/3.I am not doing any mapping.
I have created 2 message interface say MOUT of type outbound with message type MT1 and MIB of type Inbound with message type MT2.
In Integration directory by mistake I have put MIB everywhere in sender and Receiever interface. But to my surprise everything worked fine and XI has not given any error message.Accoding to documentation we should use message interface of type outbound inorder to send data to XI.
Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong?
    Thanks.
    Rekha

Are you using proxy on R/3 side ?
If so then direction does matter in this case. Since the proxy interfaces/classes are generated based on your inbound/outbound interfaces.
To generate inbound proxy you should have inbound interface. But looking at the problem description should'nt be problem since you have used inbound interface MIB on as a sender and receiver.
The messages in R/3 are in open staus or XI ?
You can logon to R/3 and use SXMB_MONI to monitor incoming messages. Check the status of messages in R/3 aswell.

    Anand

    Hi,
Please find the repository API’s in the SE24 class builder that can be used for accessing repository objects from the ABAP stack of SAP XI. Check CL_SRAPI* in the SE24 transactions for digging further.

  • Sender Mail Adapter - default interface name

    Hi,
I need to receive through one e-mail sender channel tree different kind of messages.
In sender mail adapter I specify ecept other parameters "Default Interface Name". When I send a message with a same as defined in an interface the message is processed correctly.
But when I send a different kind of message then I get an error : "Receiver could not be determined".
Is any way around how through one sender e-mail adapter receive a different kinds of messages ?
    Thanks for any help,

  • Message interface with two types of message types

    Hi experts,
I am having problem that a proxy cannot be generated because  of the (mixed) types of the message types that the interface is using.
The first message type is defined in the repository and another is defined as an external definition, imported in from an outside source.
Here is the SAP message I received when I tried to generate the proxy for this interface.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Interface uses external and internal message definitions
    Message no. SPRX122
    Diagnosis
In a message interface you can use messages from different sources:
    1. Message types and fault message types edited in the Integration Repository
    2. Messages imported into the Integration Repository (external definitions, RFC, IDoc)
In the current message interface, message types from different sources have been used.
Since messages from these different sources must be handled differently during proxy generation, such a mixture of messages within a message interface is not possible.
    System Response
    The interface cannot be generated.
    Procedure
Change the interface definition accordingly in the Integration Repository.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The imported xsd is quite large and also contain many large includes. I don't have the option of creating the message type manually.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you,
    -michelle

    Hi all,
I tried several things and the problem is still not resolved. This is what I learned.
First of all, I believed the SAP message about mixing of internal and external message is misleading or even wrong. I tried with both message types being external but I still get the same message that the interface has one internal and the other external message type.
Secondly, since Arvind suggested that I might have used an xml element that is not currently supported by ABAP proxy, I then change to another definition with the most simplest elements. I then attached this other definition to the interface and tried generating the proxy again. I still get the same system message that I am using mixing of message types in one interface.
My conclusion is XI still is not capable of generating ABAP proxy from external definition.
Does anyone have any comments/suggestion/experience on this issue?
    Best regards,
    -michelle
