WRT300N vers. 2 europe. firmware 2.00.20 trouble with loosing intenet after abourt 2 minutes

after upgrading from firmware 2.0017 to 2.0020 i have trouble with the wireless connection to internet.
After i have been logged on in about 2 minutes i loose connection to the internet.
there is still wireless connection to the router.
This has happended just after i upgraded, i had no problems before.

I talked with Linksys support today about my problem and they will replace my router to a new. They have not that problem with that firmware version.

Can I restore a WRT300N with WRT350N Backup

I am using a WRT350N (ver 1) and have an "older" WRT300N (ver 1.1) as a backup. Can I restore to the WRT300N with the backup of settings made from the WRT350N. I use MAC filtering and have 15 MAC addresses and certain access restrictions so the ability to do this would save time. If not, can I restore to another WRT350N?

In general, you cannot restore settings (using a router configuration file) from one model or version of a router to another. Each router model and version has different hardware built into it, and therefore has unique firmware, and a unique set of firmware settings.
In general, if you save a router configuration file, you should only use it to restore settings if:
1) the router is the same model and version, and
2) the firmware is the same version, and
3) the router was running correctly when you saved the router configuration file.

Help/Advice needed on setting up home office network please

I hope someone can help me with some technical difficulties i am having with a home / office network.
Computer equipment i have is:
2 desktop PCs on same floor different rooms.
2 laptop PCs to be used wired in office and/or Wifi if possible any room
2 Apple mac Laptops to be used wired in office and/or Wifi in any room.
1 HP Laser printer with network enabled
1 TB HDD network enabled
1 Linksys WiFi extender unit

I have an NTL Cable modem
Linksys WR54G ver 2 router ( with the option of going to aLinksys WRT300N ver 2 router)
A Netgear Dual speed hub DS116
What i would like to do is have one office holding 1 desktop pc, 1 HP Printer and the other office holding the 2nd desktop PC with USB printer attached. I would like to be able to go Wifi around the house for all PC & Mac Laptops with the option of connecting them by wire in the office if required.
Idealy i would like to be able to share files, folders and printers between all units as well as all having internet access through the router's firewall.
I also use Zone Alarm Pro.
At the moment i have in one office the WR54G attached to the cable modem with one Desktop PC wired in to one of the 4 ports. in a 2nd port i have a cable going to the 2nd office into the DS116.
Connected to the DS116 is the 2nd Desktop PC, the HP Laser printer and the 1TB HDD.
The Wifi extender is in another room.
For some reason every now and then the whole system goes wobbly and seems to loose settings at which point internet access is denied and ihave to go back to 1 pc into the cable modem and starting rebuilding the network.
Can anyone give me an idiots guide to settin this kind of system up with specificsettings on each item if possible.
I would say i would also like to use 1 desktop PC for gaming now and then which at the moment sems very hit and miss with speed etc.

IMAC (ver 10.4) / HP (XP home) Laptop & WRT300N v.1

No problem acessing the router with the hp.
No problem turning the imac's aiport on and also immediately accessing router.
Problem: We've WEP'd,disabled SSID, and enabled MAC through the firmware (using latest version of software) on the hp - however, now the imac can't find the router. Haven't changed the password yet or renamed the network. Can't find address on imac (Apple's tech support is closed on weekends).
Other issue 1: SES didn't function with the hp and have no idea how activate the "START" on the imac.
Next issue: Security light is not lit on router and hp wireless connect still shows 'unsecured' connection. What did I miss?
No firmware available in .bin format for the imac.

As you have disabled SSID broadcast, u will not be able to see the wireless network on IMAC. Also you have enabled MAC filtering on the router. In order to get the wireless MAC address of the IMAC, click on the Apple icon -> System Preferences -> Network. Select airport here in the show box and the page will give u the wireless MAC address of the airport. The security light is not lit that means wireless security is not enabled. Try enabling the wireless security once again manually. open Internet explorer ……in the address bar type http://192.168.1.1 (default IP address). Leave the username field blank and in the password type “admin” ( Default Password). When the configuration page loads up fully…..click on the tab that says wireless…just below wireless click on the sub-tab that wireless security….try changing the security settings here. Powercycle the router……If security light still does not come ON……upgrade the router firmware.

WAP in WRT300N

My question is, how I can enable WAP for security key in this router. Problem is that I bought this one on Ebay and I can't download new firmware, in wich I suspect, there is that feature, becouse my model is ver. 2.0 and on oficjal site there is only to download firmware for ver 1.0.

Your router supports WEP, WPA, and WPA2. WEP is no longer recommended, except as a last resort. You should be using WPA or preferably WPA2. The settings for this are on the "Wireless" tab, "Wireless Security" subtab.
On the WRT300N, for WPA select "PSK-personal" with "TKIP".
For WPA2 select "PSK2-personal" with "AES".
To allow devices that support only WPA (but not WPA2), as well as devices that support WPA2 on your system at the same time, select "PSK2-personal" with "TKIP or AES". This will allow some of your devices to use WPA2 while other (less capable) devices use WPA. Your WPA2 devices will be using AES. Your WPA devices will be using TKIP.
Please also note that Windows XP requires a patch to run WPA2. Go to Microsoft Knowledge base, article ID=893357 and it will direct you to the patch.
Sadly, the patch is not part of the automatic Windows XP updates, so lots of people are missing the patch.

Upgrading WRT300N Firmware

OK, stupid question. My router (wrt300n) firware version is v0.93.9. This version is not listed in the tab for current firmware. Which firmware version should I dowmload. Secondly, do you have to upgrade to each new version, or go to the latest release available? Thanks!!!

0.93.9 is an old Firmware, this firmware belongs to WRT300N v1 router...
Download Firmware 3.00 MB, Ver.1.03.6 for WRT300N v1...
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
NOTE : Always download the firmware for WRT300N v1(not v1.1 or v2)...You don't have to upgrade to the new version, version cannot be changed it remains the same...

atualizei o firefox para a versão atual e através da versão antiga não quis atualizar seguindo as instruções desinstalei o navegador e baixei e instalei a versão 36.0.1 disponível apesar de escolher a opção de torna lo navegador padrão na instalação ele informa na aba geral das opções que o firefox não é meu navegador padrão segui todas as instruções disponíveis para isso e não consegui efeito nem pelo painel de controle do windows o que posso fazer ??? agradeço pela atenção e a ajuda em solucionar este problema que é a primeira vez que acontece em três anos de utilização do firefox meu navegador favorito..

Olá, também tivesse esse problema, ou foi mais ou menos assim.
Limpe os rastros do navegador em seu PC, vá em %appdata%, e exclua a pasta "Mozilla", passe um CCleaner na máquina também pra ver se da algo.

New to the WRT300N - Firmware & help needed

Hi. First off, I apologize that this is going to be very long. I really hope someone will take the time to read it all and give me some help.
I posted about a week ago about problems with my WRT54GS. All of a sudden with no changes, the wireless stopped working. I tried for a few days to fix it with no luck. I decided to order the WRT300N (I figured if I was going to buy a new one, I'd upgrade and this is the one that Linksys recommended).
I should mention that after ordering the new router, the wireless on the old one started working again but it wasn't working normal. The signal quality had always pretty much been excellent and now it started going up & down but at least it was staying connected.
The new router came today. I disconnected the old one and connected the new one and everything went smoothly. Both my wired & wireless computers worked great. Less than an hour later, the wireless disconnected. I went to view available networks and my network (I use our last name) was gone. I shut off the laptop and it still didn't see the network. So I started looking at the router settings just to be sure that nothing had changed. About 15 minutes later, the laptop found the network and connected again. The signal quality dropped to good and has stayed there ever since.
Just for information, when the laptop is on the desk (which it is 90% of the time), it's only about 5 feet away from the router. I have not tried to take the laptop out of the room yet. Also more information if it helps. I have a large "U" shaped desk. My monitor for my desktop sits in the middle. On either side are the speakers. To my left (in front of me) is a UPS (plugged into this UPS is the tower, monitor, speakers, cradle for my mouse, modem & router), then the tower (I can't put it on the floor because I have physical issues that would prevent me from accessing it there). Now if I turn my chair to the left, the desk has an upper level. This is where my DSL modem & the router are. They are on the end near where the computer is on the lower level. This is the same setup we were using before. Old router worked great for almost 2 years with signal strength at excellant on the laptop. It just started acting up all of a sudden. If I go back to facing center and then turn to the right, that's where my husband's laptop sits. The only other equipment there is a calculator and a lamp and on the floor is another UPS which has his laptop (which has an Intel wireless G card in it), a laser printer, and the above mentioned calculator & lamp plugged in.
Prior to today, I had the Logitech MX3100 keyboard & mouse set. I had purchased a new mouse (Logitech MX Revolution). So I was using the keyboard from the MX3100 with the new mouse and everything was fine running that way for weeks before the problem kicked in. So I don't think it's got anything to do with the mouse. Today's setup is a little different. I am no longer using the MX3100 keyboard. I am using Logitech DiNovo Edge, which uses a bluetooth dongle. I also don't think it's any interference from this keyboard since this is a pre-existing problem.
I do have a cordless phone in the room (it's on the left hand side of the desk from where I sit at the opposite end from the modem & router...also it's one of those that doesn't need a phone line)but it's a 5.8 ghz.
The old router had the option to change the channel, etc. This one has auto for standard channel & wide channel & there's no way to change it that I can see. Radio band is also set to auto but does have 2 choices under it (standard & wide). As I said before, I use our last name for our SSID. It's the same one I've been using for years. There is no one else around here with that SSID. Network mode is mixed.
Concerning the firmware....the information for mine is WRT300N V1.1 firmware v1.51.2. I tried to look for an update but the only one in the list is the WRT300N V1.0. I did click on that but the firmware version is lower and I don't want to screw anything up. Is there a firmware update for me or not? If so, please point me in the right direction as I can't find it.
Concerning the signal strength....would it help to buy a new wireless card for the laptop? The Intel card has been updated with the newest software. The card is internal and to my knowledge can only be replaced with the same card or a bluetooth card. (Computer is a Dell XPS M140.) I do have a card slot but I'm confused because I think Dell called it an Express Card slot and I don't know whether or not the Linksys notebook card that is recommended for this router would work in this slot. If the card would work, is it worth the expense?
What else can I try. I thought about moving the router furthur to the left but it would require moving a few other items and I'm not sure if the cords are long enough. Would it help if the router & modem were not plugged into the same UPS? I do have a regular surge protecter near where my phone is. I would really rather leave them plugged into the UPS though for obvious reasons.
Also if it helps, I have the router on it's side with the 2 antennas on the end pointing straight up and the flat one in the middle I have angled this way.
I hope I have given enough information for some suggestions.

Thanks for the response. I was wondering if anyone would take the time to read such a long post. I wanted to be sure to try to give as much information as possible.
My desktop (Dell XPS400) tower is made out of metal...but the router is actually not sitting on it. There is a shelf to the left of my tower (when I'm facing it, otherwise it's to the right of it). That's where the modem & router sit. The shelf sits about 3" over from the edge of the computer and it's about 7" above it.
As far as the wireless card for my husband's laptop...I'm still thinking about it. I'm wondering if there would be any improvement in speed or the quality of the connection with the N card.
Now I just went into the router's settings and tried to make the changes you suggested. I was able to change the radio band from auto to wide BUT once I do that, I loose the ability to leave the wide channel & standard channels on auto. The options for the wide channel are 3-9 and the standard are 1 & 5. I don't know which ones are best to pick so for now I'm not changing anything. I didn't change the advanced settings either as I wasn't sure if I could do that without changing the other settings first.
My husband has noted that he does see the quality of the connection occasionally jump to excellant. For the most part it's staying on good in here. We haven't brought it out into the living room yet to see what it does out there. He hasn't needed to. He has had it disconnect on him a couple of times as well.
I did forgot to mention in that book I wrote that we do live in an apartment building. We are on the 1st floor in the back of the building. Our office is between our living room & another bedroom. There is an apartment above us. There is another apartment on the other side of the other bedroom. Our bathroom is across the hall from this room, other side of that is the kitchen and then there is an apartment in the front of the building. Our front door is off the living room, a hallway seperates our apartment from another one. There are 4 apartments on each floor. Laundry (directly under us) & storage in basement.
I give all these details to try to get the best help. I don't know if all this extra info is helpful or not. We have been using Linksys routers for quite a few years now. This is our 3rd one and our 2nd wireless one. We have been in this apartment for a year now and had no trouble until a few weeks ago. Previously lived in another apartment of the same floor plan in the same complex but on the 3rd floor (boy did we hate walking up those stairs!) with no trouble.
Looking forward to hearing back from you so I can try to make the changes you suggested.

ITune ver 9 problem with potcasts in my playlists

On previous versions of iTune I entered podcasts into my playlists and was able to sync them to my Nano. I upgraded to ver.9. In iTunes i still can enter the podcasts into my playlist but when I sync my Nano these playlists do no longer include the podcasts. What changed? The podcast do however show up under the podcast menu as on previous versions of iTunes.

It isn't just happening to Nano users. I have a Classic and I'm having the same problem. It isn't an iPod problem, it is an iTunes problem. If you go into the iPod-->Music panel and Click "Selected playlists, artists, and genres" you can see that any play list that contains ONLY podcasts will not appear in the list.

I have 3 different itunes accounts and would like to combine them into just one for all my devices, a macbook pro, an iphone 4S, an older IPOD, and a ver sion one Ipad. how can i do this on all devices ?

i had one for a long time, then when i got the ipad i didn't realize they would all still work under one so i set up the second one on that
then when i got the new iphone i put in the info for the first and main one from my mac pro and it would not work at all, and i knew it was right, then it asked me to create a new one or i couldnt finish the setup
hence why i have 3 now

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close. (ver 1.4.1)

I completed a search for this problem here and other forums, and found very useful information, however, I still need help. My laptop is an HP Pavillion dv1000, Intel Centrino, Windows XP, 1.24G of RAM; Camera is a Canon 5D, shooting JPEG only.
After a couple of weeks enjoying a vacation in the Caribbean, it was time to load all the new pics in the computer. I removed the card from my camera and using windows explorer, downloaded all pics in MyPictures folder. I created a new folder for this trip, and while I was there, I decided to reorganize several folders from previous trips. I renamed and moved folders around, deleted pictures, etc. (I believe that all the changes that I made created my problem.)
Once I finished all the changes with my folders, I launched Lightroom (ver 1.4.1) with the idea of synchronizing the folders and start working on my new pictures. After apx 8 seconds, I got the message: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
After a google search, I found a lot of potential answers to my problem, including this one, which I tried:
"It might also be worth trying a temporary test catalog, just to see whether it's specific to that catalog. To do so, go to File menu > New Catalog and create a new catalog somewhere easy - Desktop perhaps - and just try importing a few photos into that test catalog and see if you can get it to freeze. I'm wondering if the catalog's been damaged slightly by that initial unexpected close, and if so, we'll see if we can get that sorted out for you."
I did exactly that (created a test catalog) and I don't get the error. I am not clear on what does that mean. Could you help me understand it? What do I need to do to use my old catalog? Is it damaged? How can I fix it? Did I loose all the work that I did in my previous pictures?
If I go back to my original catalog, I still get the error.

Here's something you might try:
Create a new, empty catalogue and try File->Import from catalog... and specify your broken one as input. With luck the damage will be left behind.
If that doesn't work, try deleting or renaming your preferences file. Look here for its location.
And if that doesn't work, try deleting or renaming your presets folder. See that same website for details.
Let us know how you make out.

Firefox não está atualizando para a última versão

Olá, bom dia.
Uso o Firefox 34.0. Eu vi que saiu uma versão mais nova, 34.0.5. O problema é que meu Firefox não quer atualizar de jeito nenhum para essa versão com o .5 no final, indo naquela parte onde verifica se tem atualização (opção sobre o Firefox). E até o próprio site da Mozilla detecta que estou usando a versão mais recente possível. Mas se for fazer download no site da Mozilla mesmo, a versão que vai baixar é justamente a que tem o .5 no final.
Enfim, por que meu Firefox não atualiza de jeito nenhum para essa última versão? Terei de fazer a instalação manualmente para atualizá-lo? Só gostaria de saber isso mesmo, obrigado.

Na verdade isso não me ajuda, uma vez que a verificação de atualização não retorna nenhum aviso de falha. Ele simplesmente não "enxerga" que tem uma versão mais nova, acha que a 34.0 é a mais recente que tem. Mas não traz nenhum aviso de erro, falha ou qualquer coisa do tipo.

Minha versão antiga do itunes não quer desinstalar para a nova versão ser atualizada

Atualizei meu iphone para o ios 7 que é imcompatível com a versão de itunes que eu tenho atualmente no meu computador, nas tentativas de atualizar o itunes para a versão compatível com o ios 7 sou informada que é impossível desinstalar o itunes que já tenho, já tentei desinstalar pelo paineld e controle e nada, me ajudem estou impossibilitada de transferir músicas ou fazer qualquer coisa pelo itunes. Obrigada.

Atualização da versão 17 da Nota Fiscal Eletronica

Olá a todos.
Baseado na nota Note 1538854 - SAPK-10017INSLLNFE: Support Package 17 for SLL-NFE, precisamos aqui na empresa atualizar a Nota Fiscal Eletrônica para a versão 17. Na parte ABAP e XI Content tudo certo e importado com sucesso.
Tenho dúvidas quanto ao importação do arquivo SLLNFEJWS11_0-20003296.SCA. Alguém tem alguma dica de como fazer?
Desculpem a pergunta de leigo, mas o responsável por isso está de férias e ficou comigo essa atividade.

Como você disse que é uma atualização, qual seu SP anterior? Só é necessário este deploy se sua versão era anterior ou igual a SP10, caso esteja entre 11 e 16 já está na "ultima".
