WRT54G SIGNAL IS ON-OFF-ON-OFF....

A little help?..I set up the new router and 2 computers. Worked fine for about 20 minutes. Then the "WLAN" light on the front of the router started to bilnk off and on every 10 seconds and I had a connection and then I did'nt! Off and on...connected and then not connected........I reconnected the wires for internet for now, but, the whole purpose of this is to have no wires!
I have Windows 2000 Pro on each computer.WMP54G cards in them and of course the WRT54G router..
Any help would be appreciated.

You need to perform a DFU Mode Restore of the iPhone with iTunes on computer. You must also have a SIM card of the original Carrier that this iPhone was produced for.

All of a sudden, the radio signal LEDs went off and node went dead

In order to change the I/O variable data type of my node from single to array of single, I simply press and hold the rest button on WSN-3202 for 7seconds. At the end of it, the radio signal LEDs went off and node went dead. All attempt to bring it back to life proof abortive. What should I do?

BB 9300 Signal sign is "OFF"

Hi,
Since yesterday i noticed my BB 9300 signal sign is "OFF". I tried switching it off, removing the battery and sim for a few seconds and switched it on again but still the same. I already went to my service provider to check on my sim but it worked on other phone. They gave me a new sim maybe the sim has the problem but when in used the new sim still the sign is "OFF". I even tried using a different sim but still it didn't work. What should i do? what is the problem?

Why my WiFi signal keeps cutting off?

Does any one know why my WiFi signal keeps cutting off after I installed Lion?

If you hold down an "option" key while you pull down the Wi-Fi/AirPort menu bar item, what value do you see for "RSSI"?
It might help to reset the connection settings on your Mac using these steps one at a time until the problem is resolved, recognizing that, depending on your problem, not all of these steps will make sense:
1) Use the AirPort/Wi-Fi menu bar item to turn AirPort/Wi-Fi off, then on again.
2) Try to select your Wi-Fi network from the AirPort/Wi-Fi menu.
3) In the Network panel of System Preferences delete the AirPort/Wi-Fi item from the left column, then add it back.
4) In the same panel as (3), define a new location and see if you can make that work.
5) In the same panel, select the AirPort/Wi-Fi connection item, click the "Advanced" button, select the "TCP/IP" tab, then click "Renew DHCP Lease". Note that the fix this step implements may be temporary.
6) In the folder /Library/Preferences ( _not_ <yourhomefolder>/Library/Preferences), move the folder SystemConfiguration onto the Desktop, then restart your computer. See if you can now make your AirPort connection work.
These steps may not help, but they'll only take a couple of minutes to try. Before you try these, if you have any special network settings on your Mac for things like DSL credentials, note all your network settings, because the latter steps will destroy them. If you got all the way to the last step, if things don't work any worse than before, you can trash the saved SystemConfiguration folder.

Wireless Signal Flashing On/Off

Hi, the wireless signal on my MacBook keeps "blinking" on and off and I am unable to connect to the wireless provider i normally use. What could be causing this? It is strange because my other computer is connected fine. This has happened before and it eventually just stops and the wireless signal remains full. But I'm curious why this would be happening... anyone know?

Signal bar shows off instead of bars

Hello everyone... new with Blackberry... I have a 8350i and suddenly the signal bar shows the word off instead on signal strenght bars and the NEXTEL word wit upper and lower cases... I have read something that tells me that maybe I switchet by mistake to an inactive line.... any Ideas.

Router WRT54GS wlan light turns off randomly

I have a WRT54GS where the wlan light turns off randomly and I cannot connect to it. If I power cycle it everything works again until the light turns off. I have checked the firmware version and it is running 7.50.6 and on the download website the highest version they have available for it is 7.2.06.
I also notice that when I connect to the router wired and go into the web interface at first the web pages paing like they should but after a few minutes they start to paint slower and slower until they finally just timeout and fail to paint.
Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

Regarding the Firmware Version : Your Hardware is v7 and you already have the latest firmware Ver 7.50.6, you checked the Firmware for the hardware v7.2, firmware version 7.2.06...Both these Firmware's are totally different do not use the v7.2 firmware version 7.2.06...
You should try to hard reset your router for 30 seconds and then re-configure it...
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

WRT54gs v6 on and off connection

I have done so much with my wrt54gs v6, that have to the idea I should erase everything and start like newbe to wireless, including the net.
As I have it now, it makes me go to wireless page and have windows configure, and 50% it goes connected, the other 50 I reset the router with the back button, and configure again (it looses the wep password...

if u are constantly losing the connection , check whether u have the latest firmware on the router...the latest firmware available on the webiste ( www.linksys.com/download ) is 1.51.0....upgrade the firmware using the ui....reset the router and power cycle...reconfigure it again...
hopefully this should fix your problem....

My air play blue signal keeps shutting off

I have i tunes on my mac i have the apple tv so i run movies and music fr my mac to my tv and receiver...my problem is the blue air stream logo keeps going fr the blue logo to the computer logo ab
nd the music starts then i go into my general settings on my apple tv and make sure i am using the right wifi then i close then its ok for a few minutes and then it stops again....i do not know much about computers but if you can help it would be great!!

I have an Iphone 4 and i recently (2 days ago) jumped in my pool with it. I put it in rice for 24 hours and it turns on but searches for signal and turns off randomly.

I can only use it on the charger as well.

Your phone's fried. Pure and simple. Electronics and water don't mix.
Bring your phone, and $149 for an out of warranty replacement to Apple.

Hi, i have a wrt54g wireless router. my problem is that i can detect wireless signal from my 1 dell and ibm laptops and connect to internet. my friends laptop cant detect wireless signal from my access point. i already check my settings and set mix signals and ssid broadcast enabled on my router and still some laptops cant detect signal. can someone help me out? thanks

It's not a problem on your router because your computers are getting the connection from your router just fine. Maybe your friend's computer's wireless switch is off (if it's a laptop). That's why she can't detect it.

WRT54GS signal strength -- upgrade vs settings

I have a WRT54GS version 1 router with firmware v. 2.07.1. I've had it for a long time, but I have never been thrilled with its signal strength. Of course, I defined a unique SSID for my network, and I use channel 7 instead of the default channel.
Even when I lived in an apartment, I could only get 50-75% signal strength to my Linksys 802.11b adapter that I use for my TiVo. Now across my house I get about the same.
It seems to me that there are two good options for trying to improve the signal strength:
1. Upgrade to an 802.11g adapter and make my network all-G instead of b/g.
2. Mess around with setttings in the router.
3. Upgrade the firmware.
I'm definitely going to do #1, and I don't have much faith that #2 will help much--though I'd like to hear others' thoughts on that.
The firmware is quite old, and I'd like to upgrade it, but I'm a little bit afraid of messing something up (esp. since this version of the firmware doesn't seem to have the "save configuration" option).
Should I be afraid to upgrade the firmware? If anything should go wrong (knock wood), are there ways of recovering?

Try upgrading the firmware i would suggest. There is no harm in upgrading the firmware.
Your current firmware is 2.07.1. Thats quite old. The latest firmware is 4.71.4.

The Setup for WRT54GS is almost same as mentioned here.
You need to reset the router after the firmware is upgraded. You will loose all the settings once the router is reset. You can open the setup page and configure the settings again. It might take some time but its worth the effort. Trust me, firmware upgrade will not do any harm to the outer but instead boost the performance.

WRT54GL broadcast keeps cycling on and off

I've had a WRT54GL ( for about a week now ) with no real issues. Today my wife mentioned that the net's been flaky ( wireless nto hard wired ). I originally noticed what seemed like minutes for my desktop of laptop to connect to any web pages. Loads were extremely slow. According to the computer I had a 1 mbps connection. I did the standard resetting of the modem and router..babble babble babble. Of course all of which didn't help.
Eventually, I ran a wifi analyzer from my phone to determine an ideal channel. However, while running the frequency scanner I also noticed that my broadcasting would continue to drop off the radar for a quick moment then return. This seemed to be true no matter what channel I set. What's interesting is that the signal would read as extremely strong for 45 sec - 1 minute, then completely drop the signal, then another strong broadcast.
Other neighboring signals don't exhibit this behavior....well I would see the weaker signals coming in and off the radar from time to time.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? I'm guessing it's some type of interference? However if that's the case I can't explain why my signal seems so strong. I'm assuming I'd see a lot of fluctuation in my signal before dropping off ( instead of going from 100 to 0 in the blink of an eye ).

Connect one computer wired with the router and let me know the IP address from the Router… You can check the IP address in the following manner:
If you wish to find out your own IP address, you should run the same ms-dos prompt by clicking Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt. A black pop up box should come up, type: "ipconfig /all" … There check the IP address and Default Gateway under LAN….
You can try out the following steps:
# Open up the browser and on the address bar type “Default Gateway” that will open up the Router setup page…
# Then Click on wireless Tab and select you can make Standard Channel to 6, 9, 11... Click Save Settings...
# Then click on Advanced Wireless Settings, change Beacon Interval to 75, Fragmentation Threshold to 2306, and RTS Threshold to 2307...
# Avoid using cordless phones, microwave ovens nearer to the Router…
Then check the connectivity….
