WS activating fails because of RIC refererence

Now I have another question.
We have two versioned tables and
If we create a RIC link to a record in a workspace and then we want to delete this recork in the LIVE workspace we cannot do that because there is still in a linkage in the workspace.
OK, that can be acceptable.
But if we delete the linkage in the workspace and after we want to delete this record in the live workspace we still cannot do that because the workspace manager history stores the created and deleted linkage. It seems accepteble because we could rollback to the state when the linkage was not deleted yet.
My question is what we could do by deleting this kind of records. What solution can be in this situations? ((Maybe we could delete the referenced records in the _lt table? I know that it's not the best solution))

Hi Orsi,
If we are raising an error when you are trying to delete a parent record, then there exists 1 or more versions for which the child table row has not been deleted. In your case, this is most likely the version that existed before you created the child workspace. This is required to operate this way to maintain data integrity. Otherwise, the child row at that particular version would not have a parent row, which cannot be allowed.
So, there are 2 options:
1. Specify the RIC constraint as 'on delete cascade' so that when the parent row is deleted, all of the child rows will also be deleted.
2. Call enableversioning on the parent table. This scenario that you stated can only happen when the child table is versioned, but its parent table is not versioned.

Step 1
I have an Analytic View where I have CALDAY among Private Attributes and VALUE in Measures. I add an Attribute View with UCALDAY (whatever it means) and implement a new calculated measure CALCVAL with logic as follows: if( (date("CALDAY") <= date("ATV_SEL_UCALDAY")), "VALUE", 0). It works fine.
Step 2
I added another Attribute View where the key attribute is its own CALDAY field, making a join by that field. Activated the Analytic View failed with the error log as follows:

it is extremely hard from such description to figure out what is the problem...
You might need to paste the screenshots so that we can take a look...
Just one hint - make sure that you do not take attribute and use it as calculated measure or vice versa - this will definitely lead to error.

Nope. You either have to elect to set a sim pin, or your carrier requires such. Some carriers, do in fact, require sim pins. -
Unload dbsrv7 fails because there are active connections

i want to stop ZEN before backup runs and wanto to unload dbsrv7 as a cron
job but it fails because there are active connections open. The console
message is the following:
DBSRV7.NLM still has active connections
Unload module anyway? N
Our Server ist runnig Nw6 SP2 and ZFD 4.01 with IR 5
Ive found nothing helpful at the knowledgebase and ive tried the utility
stuffkey from Coolsolutions but it dows not work.
How can I stop DBSRV7 automatically with a switch to yes at the console
screen?

I've installed XE 10.2 under Fedora Core 7 from the downloaded .rpm. The RPM installs fine, and I've run the config from the command line. I've edited my bash file to load the environment variables. Here's my hosts file:

Activation failed + USR_MISSING_PRIVILEGE
Hi Folks,
We had some DCs working fine on our track. We made changes in one DC(by following checkout and checkin correctly).
When we tried to activate this activity, we got activation failed message. We checked the associated activation log. There we found that error was on one import statement.
In the meantime, one more team member created his activity on same DC and checked in(but not activate). We created one more activity in which we commented this line. When we tried to activate it, it gave us error message "CBS ERROR:The user does not have authorization for the requested operation", because now it was considering the predecessor activities too.
Basically, there are several activities currently which are not getting activated. (some bcoz of code error on above mentioned import statement, some bcoz of USR_MISSING_PRIVILEGE error).
We found that assigning nwdi admin role can solve atleast usr_missing_privilege so that we can activate all the predecessor activities. But, our clients are not ready to assign that role to us.
So, is there any other way around?

in order to activate activities of other developers you need the CBS role XDeveloper. Details can be found in the documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/da/f812d366aa44ad83a30418b34dae1c/frameset.htm. For 7.1x suitable groups are created by the NWDI setup automatically (NWDI.XDevelopers), but for older releases you have to assign the roles manually.

I had my Ipad for a very long time... I would say for over two years, but never had the chance to update it to ios 5 or higher... till today.. I updated through Itunes.... Well... this thing is not working anymore because it tells me that the activation failed... ... I tried restoring it and nothing... and the nearest apple store is about 3 hours away... what do I do?... By the way... all I do with my ipad is play games with my kids and check for email and music... no weird stuff... can anyone help?
From what I am reading I am assuming that your iPad hasn't yet been updated past iOS4. If thats correct,
try using this article for help updating from iOS 4 or earlier : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4972
I will tell you that before updating from 4 to 5 or later, you must erase and restore your device before completing the update.

I recently purchased an Apple TV (2 months ago) and it was working fine but now all of a sudden under General Settings, About, it says activation failed and it will not allow me to view Hulu Tv etc. Also, an error message comes up saying I need to verify payment information in my iTunes account. I went in and verified and its still not working. I reset all the settings, I tried restoring, I restarted and also reset my modem and wireless router (even though it's hard wired to the modem. In addition, I turned on home sharing on all m devices and nothign is listed under "computers"... totally annoyed.
Has anyone else had this issue? I am so frustrated! Thank God for Airplay so I can watch TV because I don't have cable, only apple tv.I just noticed this problem today. I had the same exact issue. I tried rebooting it and it wouldn't come up. It would just show the activation failed screen. I did a restore from iTunes. Now I can use it but it still says activation failed under settings > general. Did you by chance have iOS 6 beta installed?

doing an Enterprise to Standard downgrade, I have removed enterprise edition of SQL Server 2008, rebooted and while installing standard edition, I get the below error saying "You SQL server 2008 installation completed with failures. Some or all identity
references could not be translated"
Bit of background. This server has another express instance of SQL Server 2008. I have
used local system account, network service as well as our general SQL service account, but I get the error towards the end of the installation and it fails saying “Some or all identity references could not be translated.”
I am installing a named instance with the same name as before but fails. I have tried
creating a new test instance that fails too. Any ideas? I have uninstalled SQL enterprise edition from
Add and Remore Programs/Programs and Features. I've also run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility but no joy.

Newsfeed error - The operation failed because the server could not access the distributed cache.
Recently installed SharePoint 2013 RTM, on the newsfeed page an error is displayed, and no entries display in the following or everyone tabs.
"The operation failed because the server could not access the distributed cache."
Reading through various posts, I've checked:
- Activity feeds and mentions tabs are working as expected.
- User Profile Service is operational and syncing as expected
- Search is operational and indexing as expected
- The farm was installed based on the autospinstaller scripts.
- Don't believe this to be a permissions issue, during testing added accounts to the admin group to verify

Activation fails using automated phone system
I've used a MAK to activate several Windows Server2012 R2 machines using the automated phone system. On one machine, I enter the confirmation ID and get the "Thanks, you're all done" message, but when I check using slmgr, it still shows Unlicensed.
I've tried using slmgr /atp <confirmation ID>, and get "Error: Product activation failed." I believe I am entering the correct confirmation ID, because if I change it I get an error message that the confirmation ID is invalid.
Any ideas on where to look at why product activation is failing would be appreciated!Hi bmoranb,

Results: Over the weekend, the memory hit critical mass and CRM failed

Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, CRM 2013 On Premise - both on the same box, Email Router is installed on the same box. We have not yet applied either of the two new UR for 2013.

We just recently increased the available memory from 8GB to 24GB to help ensure that there is enough memory. This error never happened on CRM v4. According to the resource monitor, SQL is only reserving 20.7GB of RAM and there is 694MB of RAM in Standby.
The main Async service is using 660MB and the maintenance Async service is using 265MB.
To resolve the issue temporarily, I restarted both Async services this morning. Shortly after everything came back, they were holding fairly steady around 350MB and 200MB. It's been six hours since then.
The last time I spoke with Microsoft about a similar problem, they suggested increasing the amount of RAM.It became more and more of a problem. It was impacting the users in a more subtle way at first. You couldn't configure the CRM for Outlook client. After a while, they couldn't use CRM in Outlook at all and users reporting not being able to complete phone
call activities. I opened a ticket with MS and they suggested the same as Wilson Lou did. The organization error had nothing to do with the creep on the async services usage of RAM. It was indeed caused by SQL stealing all of the memory. Limiting the max usage
to 24GB RAM has resolved that error.
My Async processes are still using a LOT of RAM, but now that I have more than enough RAM, it doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. They are currently using about 700MB RAM each.
Also, I have upgraded to SP1, UR2.

In SM50/51 nothing is running anymore, so I guess something failed. The system log and the shortdump lists are empty ??
I load the hierarchy through the PSA the datasource is 0GLACCEXT_T011_HIER but I think that there is no problem with the datasource because the data is loaded into the PSA right (green lights) when I process the data after that then it stay's yellow.
The content used is business content and I adapted note 663945
There are no routines and ofcourse I switched on activate hierarchy..

I did the below to resolve this after lot of research and same worked for me in 3 servers;
1)
Disable UAC by Disabling the setting "User Account Control: Run all administrators in Admin Approval Mode", under Computer
Configuration\Policies\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options. And reboot the server
2)
Remove all existing installed features of dotnet 3.5 and reboot the server
3)
Install Windows Process activation service using add features and reboot the server
4) NowInstalled Web(IIS)

Hello. I've been having this issue from time to time; I'm trying to connect to another computer which has both *Remote Management* and *Remote Login* activated. On this computer I got *Encrypt all network data (more secure)*, and for some reason after I try to connect to another computer (that has Remote Login activated) I keep getting this error:
Connection failed because its identity could not be confirmed. This could represent a security problem, or your SSH known_hosts file may be out of date.
Disable the "Encrypt all network data" security setting or update your SSH known_hosts file.
How would I update the SSH known_hosts file? And I thought all this was made automatically? I used to be able to do this before, but its not working lately.Just found the answer:
