WSRP connection test error
Hi,
I'm testing WSRP Consumer functionality with NetWeaver Portal SP 10. I have my own WSRP producer (WSRP4J with Pluto) which works fine with other consumers (e.g Liferay portal). I do the necessary steps to register a WSRP producer and perform a connection test with the following result:
Producer object was found
Could not retrieve the WSDL file; the handshake URL may not exist or may be invalid
What exactly does this mean? Which possible error sources do I have to check? The WSDL file is accessible by the portal, I used an XML-iView, telnet and common browser access to test this. The producer was tested with other consumers. Where can I find the log files of the WSRP connection test?
Any help will be appreciated.
Regards,
Kevin
Hi All,
Please make sure you have set the proxy settings in System administrator->Service confiuration->Application->com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice->Services->Proxy. Please make sure you changed the 'Overwrite JVM...' property (if exists in your vertion) to 'true', save and only then restart the httpservice.
In order to trace the WSRP funcionality to a log file, please use the visual admin and in the Log Configurator -> Locations -> com.sap.portal.ivs.wsrp.consumer switch the tracing level to 'All' / 'Debug' and save. the logging will be sent to the latest defaultTrace file under \JC<xx>\j2ee\cluster\server<y>\log\
Thanks,
Avi.

Kindly help me to solve this problem.
Thanks
Jibin.Hi Jibin
This is mostly likely due to JCO or network setup rather than the ESS/MSS application
Please see the following link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/f6/daea401675752ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm
In particular check network services as per note
Note 52959 - sapms..., sapdp.., sapgw.. unknown (or not found)
Please check JCO connection settings as well as per
Note 723562 - SAP Java Connector: Configuration and Requirements
Please check availability of message server and that user terminal can ping Portal server
and Portal server can ping ECC server
Hope this helps
Best wishes

System Configuration - SAP Web AS Connection - connection tests error
hi
I have a SAP ECC 6.04 and sap portal 7.01
When I entered in option System Administration / System Configuration / System Landscape / Portal Content Tree / Systems / SAP_ECC (System created by me)
I founded the following error (in SAP Web AS Connection / Tests the connection to an SAP Web Application Server )
SAP Web AS Connection
Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
1. Checks the validity of system ID in the system object.
2. Checks if the system can be retrieved from the PCD.
3. Check whether a SAP system is defined in the system object
4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name
5. Checks if the host name of the server can be resolved.
6. Pings the WAS ping service; works only if the service is activated on the ABAP WAS.
7. Checks HTTP/S connectivity to the defined back-end application
Results
1. The system ID is valid
2. The system was retrieved.
3. The system object represents an SAP system
4. The following parameters are valid: Web AS Protocol (http) Web AS Host Name (htc-svr-erp.humantech.es:4200)
5. The host name htc-svr-erp.humantech.es was resolved successfully.
6. The Web AS ping service http://htc-svr-erp.humantech.es:4200/sap/bc/ping was not pinged successfully. If the ping service is not activated on the Web AS, you can try to call the ping service manually.
7. An HTTP/S connection to http://htc-svr-erp.humantech.es:4200 was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall.

only first connention is fail cause of above error.
I checked NLS_CHARACTERSET in Database

We set up the Data Management Gateway and created a new data source (odata to SQL via sqL user)
Did a connection test and it was successful!
Tried the URL (maybe it needs more):
https://ourdomain.hybridproxy.powerbi.com/ODataService/v1.0/odatatest
That resolves to some :8051 port address and then spits out this message:
The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details.
I checked and the data management gateway is running.
Does that 8051 port need to be opened on our firewall for this server? How can I confirm that is the issue.. I see no event on the server indicating this is the issue?
I am seeing this event:
Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database 'PowerBiTest'. [CLIENT: IP of the Server]O365,
Is this still an issue?
Thanks!

Error in Connection Test when connecting to R/3
Hi All,
Although I am able to connect to the R/3 server through the portal (SAP screen is visible and the transactions are running,) the Connection Test fails at the second step i.e. the Connector settings and User Mappings. I have checked these settings and they appear to be fine.
The Test connection results are as follows:
a> Retrieval of default aliases successful.
b> Connection Failed. Make sure User Mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct.
I am also unable to connect to the data source through the Visual Composer. Although the systems are visible, the Bapis are not retrieved. It returns the same error. I have even installed the Portal Add-ons for Visual Composer.
Please help.
Regards,
Deepak.Hi Guys,
Thanks to you all for the suggestions. Rajiv, the settings are as per your suggestions, yet its not working. Also, we are using UIDPW method to logon to the R/3 system. We are able to connect to the R/3 system through the portal and even the transactions are running. The problem is when we test the connection. It fails on step 2. The problem this is causing is that we cannot connect retrieve the data from the R/3 system through Visual Composer. We can connect to the portal thru it though and even the systems are available. But once we select the system and try to retrieve the BAPIs, it throws an error.
We are using EP6.0 SP9 and Visual Composer 6.0 Patch 5.

i am using my MS Access 2013 to connect with my oracle database. I created the odbc link and successfully have connection test pass. However i can;t link the database with my MS access. When i am using different software (mapinfo), i am able to connect to oracle database. The error is"1013: user requested cancel of current operation"
In MS access, i open the external data and select odbc. Select my odbc link created previously, enter the password and after a while the error message pop up.
But if i am using another tools, such as SQL Developer or Mapinfo, i will able to connect to oracle database using the same odbc link. -

Workflow configuration error - System Account connection test failed
Hi,
Has anybody faced a problem with Workflow configuration? The version we are using is 2.6.2 on Oracle database 9.2.0.5 on AIX5L. The workflow installation from 9.2.0.1 installation CDs goes through without any problem. But when the workflow configuration tool comes up it fails with the following error.
"SYSTEM account connection test failed".
The system and sys accounts are fine as verified by sqlplus. Any help is greatly appreciated.
The log file is shown below.

Thanks,
ChethanWe had this problem on 2 machines.
On the 1st machine, we tried the local install option after a few days (Local option with no connect string) and it worked with no problems!
On the 2nd machine, we could never get it to work even after opening a tar with Oracle. Finally we did a remote install from the 1st machine into the database on the 2nd machine. During the remote install while running wfinstall on the 1st machine, we just had to choose the remote option and the database service name for the connect string.
Thanks,

RWB - Cache Connectivity Test - Adapter Engine shows error
Hello Friends,
In our one production system (PI 7.1), while do 'Cache Connectivity Test' from RWB -> Component Monitoring, it shows the following error for Adapter Engine under Integration Directory.
Error:
Cache notification from Integration Directory failed Error when accessing the System Landscape Directory.
No SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found
But, Integration Server - ABAP, Integration Server - JAVA shows green color. The messages are flowing through the Adapter Engine fine. i.e I am seeing 2 Adapter Engines under Integration Server in Component Monitoring. One Adapter Engine is in grey and another Adapter Engine shows green color.
When I click the grey color adapter engine, it immediately turns to red color and some different host name url is displayed (http://<wronghost>:53000/AdapterFramework/rtc).
So, what could be the problem ?
Kindly clarify, friends.
Thanking you.
Kind regards,
Jegathees P.Hello Jegathees
Apply the solution in note #804124 HTTP communication with XI Adapter Engine fails. Set the parameters:
SLD.selfregistration.hostName
SLD.selfregistration.httpPort
SLD.selfregistration.httspPort
as described in the note.

Error during connection test for Content Producers in FPN
Hi,
I have a question regarding connection test for content producers in FPN. Please let me explain the scenario,
The portal server (PS1) is in the network domain say "XYZ.com" and we are accessing the portal from different domain say "ABC.com" via browser. We need to configure another portal (PS2) which is in the network domain say "mno.XYZ.com" with PS1 using FPN. We have imported the certificates of portal PS1 (consumer) in PS2 (producer) portal server and done the required trust configurations using VA in PS2 portal server.
Then we created a new content producer object for the PS2 portal (producer) in PS1 portal. But when we did the "Connection Tests" it gets failed with the following error message,
"Could not retrieve the WSDL file; the handshake URL may not exist or may be invalid".
Can any one please tell me why this error message is coming. Is it due to any network connection issue?
Thanks,
Gokul.Hi Ginger,
somehow, yes :-) I deployed the iFlow for customer master replication. After creating a customer the trace looked different and terminated at the reverse proxy. So the simple connect somehow is not able to do the same...
