X200s model | 3 monitor potential

Hello.
This entry has 2 questions. I would appreciate some help on both.
QUESTION #1:
I have an x200s laptop (bought in 2010).
It has in its ultrabase a displayport (something that has angered me since i saw it. i assumed it would have a dvi or hdmi but that is another issue).
I have just bought a USB 2.0 UGA multi-display adapter.
1 monitor is connected via the ultrabase VGA port (19" monitor)
1 monitor is connected via the ultrabase displayport with a DVI adapter (22" monitor)
1 monitor is connected via the USB 2.0 adapter with it's VGA adapter (17" monitor)
Question-->The quality is not perfect but it is very good (a bit hazy on all 3 of them). Thoughts on tweaking my graphics card? is it possible? maybe i am missing a driver?
It is the Mobile Intel(R) 4 series express chipset family. regretfully no nvidia or ati .
QUESTION #2:
At home I have a only 2 monitors. I have 1 connected via the displayport with a DVI adapter (20" monitor) and i just bought a new monitor that is 24" and it has only 2 HDMI and 1 VGA.
the picture through the USB 2.0 adapter connected to the HDMI hookup is horrific (24").
Question--> how can i use the HDMI connection via the USB 2.0 adapter but get a smaller resolution? should i use the displayport with a HDMI adpater? will it pose the same quality? or is the graphics card just not able to support that resolution? am i missing drivers?
a bit long. sorrry. any help would be appreciated!
thanks
Graib

are you using native resolution of monitors on all three monitors?
what are the model and make of all the monitors you are using?
you can change the resolution through the display property.
By right clicking on desktop, choose property, then choose display
If you are in win 7: control panel -> display -> screen resolution.

  • SAP XI and Business Process Modelling and Monitoring

    hi All,
Could anybody tell me whether SAP XI has any Business Process Modelling tools or any Process Monitoring tools?
If any, are these analogous to IBM WBIs Modeller and Monitor? Also does SAP XI provide any human interaction?
    Regards,
    Shree Norway

    Hi,
In the XI-Repository you can build Business Procces with the Process Builder.
for Monitoring you can use the Workflow Monitoring on XI.

  • Modelled Deadline Monitoring - Solution for the same

    Hi All,
I have a requirement where i need to use modelled deadline monitoring. My requirement is that when a work item is sent to a specific group. If that group does not respond to the work item in 3 days i need to send an escalation mail to that group and their superiors. After that i need to send the escalation mail every day till the work item is  not executed.. How do i acheive the same using modelled deadline monitoring and do i need to make a user decision for ths task or is it possible to do the same without that.
      Awaiting your reply shortly.
    Regards,
    Lailu Philip.

    Hi Philip,
I have an idea. But I dont know how much its is good. After 3 days, mail has to be send to the approver. Then make a one background method, In method write a code to append the workitem number into a custom table.
Now create one zprogram, and read the workitem ID from the custom table. Then find the work item status using table SWWIHEAD. Then write a condition, if the status is ready then send a mail to the user using the FM 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. This whole logic will be in your zprogram.
Then schedule one job and assign this program to that job. So it will run once per day and find the work items with status ready and it will send the mail to the correcsponding User.
Finally you can delete the corresponding entry at the Ztable from your workflow.
    I think It will work.
    Thanks.

  • Modelled Deadline Monitoring

    Hi all,
I have developed a custom workflow and i am using modeled deadline monitoring in the same, the escalation happens properly after the deadline is reached, but the workitem is still visible in the previous agent's Inbox i have activated the processing obsolete option in the outcome tab of the workitem i have also checked the configurations in SWU3 and all of them looks to be fine, can anyone please help me on how to make the workitem disappear from the inbox once the deadline has reached.
    Thanks
    Saurabh Anand
PS: Points will be rewarded to useful replies.

    Saurabh,
    1. In the 'latest end' path of the work item insert a process control step.
    2. In the Control tab of the process control, for 'function' choose 'set work item to obsolete'.
    3. In the 'workflow step', enter the step id for which you have made the modeled deadline monitoring.
When the deadline is reached for the work item, it is removed or 'obsolete'-d and workflow continues through the 'processing obsolete' path.
    Reward points if useful.

  • Select the approval Agent for Modeled Deadline Monitoring for WF WS14000133

I have setup a deadline monitoring for WF WS14000133 using the modeled approach and added the "Send Mail" Test along with a Loop so that the the appover will get an email every day after three days of not approving a shopping cart.
I noticed in task "109 Subworkflow n-step over Value" there is a task container element "&APPROVALAGENTS.ACT_AGENT&" which contains the approver. I am tring to put it in a Workflow container element that I created referencing "WFSYST-AGENT". When I try to setup a binding to import the value from the task container to the workflow container I get the following error:
"Data object 'APPROVALAGENTS' is elementary )component 'ACT_AGENT' does not exist)
Does anyone know how to fix this or does anyone know another way I can get the approval agent to the WF container so that I can send the email to them in the "send email" step?
According to SAP this can be done....this is what they say on help.sap.com:
"Actual agent: Element WIActual_Agent in the task container
If you want to transfer the actual agent of a work item (available under the element ID WIActual_Agent in the task container) to the workflow container for further use, you define an appropriate element in the workflow container to contain this information.
You create this element with a reference to the ABAP Dictionary field WFSYST-AGENT."
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/c5/e4b06d453d11d189430000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

    hi ,
the field actual agent gets will filled once the responsible agent completes / performs an action on it. Hence it is suggested to use some method / rule to get the responsible agent and create one local workflow container variable (table) to fill up the agents instead of manipulating the workflow variables directly.
In this way, you can check if the table of agents and then send accordingly the deadline messages.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I monitor  Potential VM growth in DirectoryService ??

    greetings
    i have a 10.4.10 Mail server ( postfix/cyrus/squirellmail ) connected to a directory system.
    occasionally the system reports
<code>Potential VM growth in DirectoryService since client PID: 0, has 1150 open references when the warning limit is 500.</code>
if i don't kick start mail services ( serveradmin stop/start mail ) the open references will climb and cause the system to die.
where is this number coming from and how can I put a tail on it ie " monitor the open references if it reaches *threshhold restart "
I know this doesn't solve the issue. It has gotten better with load balancing and more replicas. I have plans to migrate this server to a new machine with clean install. But in the mean time I need to keep it up.
    any insight would be helpful.
    thanks

Did you ever figure out how to fix this VM growth?

  • HTML-DB 1.6 (Apex) Page size and Page Model and monitor size

    Hi everyone,
We developed our application based on 17 inches monitor. But, today one user told us that she has a 15 inches monitor. Thus, she don't see full page, she has to use the scroll.
Is it in our model that you can reduce the page size for example 80% size in the page model to fit with 15 inches monitor ?
Or to define a variable in the page model and have two different buttons one for 15 inches monitor (80% page size) and an other related to 17 inches monitor and more (100% page size) this pourcent should be the value of a variable in the page model ?
    Thanks. Bye.

    Hi Timiche,
The easiest thing to do would be to make sure that the width of items on the page (especially tables) are set to a percentage and not a fixed px value. This way, the items will spread out to fill the available screen width.
You should also bear in mind that users can change the resolution of the screens - 640x400, 800x600, 1024x768 etc. It would become a nightmare to try and cater for all possible resolutions and screen sizes by dynamically changing the fixed width dimensions of all objects on a page! I would check what items need to be of fixed width and change all the rest to percentages.
We tend to inform our users that pages have been designed for a particular resolution - currently 1024x768.

    Andy

  • Monitor model (Desktop Monitor) was not loaded in the client resource explorer | SCCM 2012

    Hi Everyone,
We have SCCM 2012 installed and configured. More than 2000+ computers have been installed SCCM client and manageable by SCCM server.
The inventory (Desktop Monitor) was not loaded in the client resource explorer (For some clients it got inventoried). Is there are possibilities that the Max file size might get exceeded the actual limit for the hardware inventory
which has to be increased in the registry?
    Please provide us a solution.
    Thanks in advance,
    Iniyan G

See dataldr.log on the site server. It would show .mif files that exceeded the file size. InventoryAgent.logon the client might also help.

  • Macbook air 2011 model to connect to an external 1080p monitor QUESTION

i have the July 2011 Macbook Air 13". I would like to connect it to a 1080p lcd monitor or an hdtv.
Can anyone recommend a decent model? i do not want to spend more than $300 and would prefer either a 27" or 32"
When connected to an external monitor, will i get higher screen resolutions instead of my 1440x900 that i have on my air?

Its going to be tough to get a "decent" model LCD monitor of that size for less than $300.  A decent model of that size will START at around $300.  That being said, your resolution will depend on what mode you set the monitor at from your Air.  If you set the mode as Mirrored, you will only get the 1440X900 on the Air, but if you set it at Extended Desktop, it should fully fill the monitor.  Also, you can set the external monitor to be the MAIN monitor with the computer operating with the display closed to get the full screen at 1080, but then you will need an external keyboard and mouse.

  • Missing technical information on X200/X200s/X300 for final buying decision

    Hello Thinkpad community,
    I am planning to buy a thinkpad x200s, x200, x300 or x301 to replace my z61m.
Since I am missing some detailed technical information, it is hard for me to make this decision. Please help me to fill the gaps.
    X200/X200s
My favourite is the x200s, since the main requirement is ultra mobility. To make it usable also on the outside of buildings, I am interested how bright is the display
    1.) Candela / nit of X200s?
    2.) Candela / nit of X200?
However, I want to use the notebook when I am at home as desktop system with a dual Monitor setup, too.
3.) Does the x200 / x200s with extension bay support dual monitor setup (one via vga, one via digital output)?
4.) If dual monitor setup is supported, what is the maximal supported resolution for two monitors?
5.) Is dual monitor setup supported with linux?
    X300/X3001
Just in case the display / resolution of the X200s is two small (I will have to check it in real in a lenovo partner store if it will be available in Germany) for me I will switch to X300 / X301.
    5.) Candela / nit of X300?
    6.) Candela / nit of X301?
Dual Monitor support of X300 series?
7.) AFAIK, X300 supports only dual monitor in combination with this usb-docking station with NO linux support (window drivers needed). Is that true?
8.) AFIAK, the X3001 has dual display out on the notebook itself (vga and display port). Can thes ports be used in parallel fo dual monitor set up?
9.) If dual monitor setup is supported with X301 is it working in combination with linux?
    64-Bit Operation System support
If I wouldn't have stumbled across this tread (http://forums.lenovo.com/lnv/board/message?board.id=X_Series_Thinkpads&thread.id=1485&view=by_date_a... I wouldn't dare to ask, thought it would be impossible because of the 32-Bit processors. Does the X200 / x200s support 64-Bit Operation systems? Especially Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition or SUSE / REDHAT X86_64 64BIT? Not that I would need it for office usage, however some servers (local development & testing on ultra mobile thinkpads rocks ) require this.
Thanks to your feedback! I am really eager to come to a decision, place the order and have a terrific ultra-mobile, but still desktop friendly notebook
BTW: Is there any technical document listing some or all of the information which I am missing? If yes, I cannot find it on the lenovo web site...
    Thanks & Regards!
    Kris

64-bit OSes are supported on all X300/X301 and X200/X200s models.   server 2003 and 2008 are not officially supported but will run on the above equipment.   there's a chance that not all drivers can be found however, especially for 2003.   2008 is much easier to implement since it registers with most drivers and apps as simply being vista with SP1 (since vista shares 2008's kernel).

  • X200s Display problem

Hi all! I would like to ask for help in diagnosing a display problem in my X200s, model 7470-5GA.
Attached below are photos of how it looks (white flickering screen). There are times when I boot the laptop and everything appears to be normal and okay until after Windows starts and the problem comes back.
I've tried connecting it to an external monitor. There is a signal but there is no display on the external.
I've also tried booting Linux from a USB to check if it's only happening in Windows. The issue persists in 3 Linux distros I've tried.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Finej,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As per the query we understand that you are facing the issue with Display on your ThinkPad X200s.
As per the snapshot I am sure it is a hardware issue and it might be with Display screen or with system board. However I request you to confirm this in BIOS mode if the issue persists in BIOS mode also.
And also connect the external monitor while performing the BIOS boot, to perform the steps you have to keep tapping the F1 key after switching ON the system.
    Hope to hear back soon!
