Xerox Phaser 4500 : "remote host did not accept file (32)"

Am trying to print to our networked Xerox Phaser 4500DT at work. Set it up as an LPR printer as I did with Tiger (setting it up as IPP gives a permission denied error when you try to print), and printed a test page. Worked fine.
Try to print any sort of useful document, however, and I get a "remote host did not accept file (32)" error, when it's spooled about 20% of the document. Anybody run into this, or have any ideas?
I've tried Leopard's built-in 4500 driver, and the Leopard driver from the Xerox website (which seems to be the same version anyway). I've also tried the trick of putting "lp" in the queue name field, which seems to have been the cause of this error for some people. No joy for me, though.

That seems to be an LPD error message, so you could try setting the printer up as either IPP or JetDirect, if the interface supports either one.

Went to tiger 10.4.4 and cannot print. Wireless connection to HP photosmart 1215 via SMC 2804 router was working with Gimp print driver - photosmart 1100 (1215 driver never did work). After months of fooling around after Jaguar to Tiger upgrade and similar printer failure, I was finally able to get this option (hp 1100) to work. Now, another update and no printing AGAIN. G5 iMac, other mac - G4 iMac - doesn't work after update either. What is going on??

    Hi All,
I am using SUN ONE Webserver 6 on AIX with Oracle 8i. Every now and then I get this error
java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: A remote host did not respond within the timeout period.
I am not able to unterstand this. Some one please help...
    Thanks

Are you able to connect to the database server from the same machine where you are running SJS Web Server using JDBC?
Are the driver and the Database using compatible drivers?
Does it normally work? Is the error accompanied by other symptoms like application failure or unusually slow responses?

    HI
I have a opened in servlet which is not closed. My servlet uses it for various checks. When a request comes after long time, my servlet tries to make a database call and that time I am getting following error.

  • Communication error, user "did not accept your invitation"

I think need some help. I have read many of the topics, however i have not been able to address my issue. Let me start by saying I am new to Macs (about 3 weeks) and not very technical. I have a Imac and also running time capsule as my wireless connection. As instructed i obtained an AIM account and attempted to do video chat, however when I try i get a communication error, user "did not accept your invitation". I have spent about an hour with apple tech services and have been able to successfully connect to the Apple test buddy. In fact my friend was also able to connect to the Apple test buddy. I have not tested a connection with anyone else.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue.

    Hi Thank you for responding,
The message says that there was a communication error - did not receive response from the other person. On the other side they received the same error. Below is the error log
Yes, Time Capsule sits between my modem and my computer. I also have a Voice over Internet phone.
The entire set up is as follows.
Internet modem (make; Ambit) to Voice over Internet Modem to Time Capsule (set as router - share a single IP address using DHCP & NAT)
as for setting up time capsule - i set it to "i don't have a wireless network and wanted to create one"
I have not attempted to reach anyone in table 2 - I will do so and let you know
my error log -- again thanks for your help

  • The remote server did not respond to a connection attempt

I have two Exchange 2003 servers: Old and New. Emails from the new server can go out however, users on the new server cannot receive emails from the old or the internet.
I get the following error:'....remote server did not respond to a connection attempt....'
All emails are stuck in newserver.domain.com.

    Hi KimaniBob,
Since Exchange 2003 is a very old Exchange version, we have not supported for Exchange 2003. It is recommended to upgrade your Exchange server to Exchange 2010. Your understanding will be appreciated.

  • SAP Router - Host did not respond 8 times

    Guys,
I'm able to test OSS connection successfully in SM59. But in service connections, whenever i open connections, the connection failing to open with the "Host did not respond 8 times " error before changing to Cancel. Any suggestions please?

There was a little glitch in the saprouttab file, which i fixed. But interesting to note that it didn't clear the error. I keep having the same error, but SAP was able to connect inspite of that. As i read elsewhere, often times this error is misleading. anyway, thanks.

  • Host did not respond error in connecting the SAP Router from SERVICE PLACE

    Dear Sir,
We renew the Router Certificate by October 2008.  We are using broadband connection in our office with firewall (ISA) .
When we try to connect the sap router from SAP Service Market Place, It is connected and after some time, status is changing to Host did not respond due to timeout.
We checked the SAP Router Tab File also. It is correct.  Guide us to solve this issue

  • SAPRouter Status : Host did not respond

    Hi,
When I try to open service connections some times I get it connected.
But some times I get this message( Host did not respond ) with a warning sign on it.
Please suggest what could be the problem?
And why it is just a warning?
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Juan / Wolfgang,
Very much thankful for your time.
    Sorry for delayed response.
I get connected to the sapserv2.. for some time the status remains connected.. and when i refresh it after some time it changes to "Host did not respond" ...
If it is timeout it should not connect at all..
Even though the status is Host did not respond still SAP is able to connect and work.
Wolfgang : I will go through the note and will come back to you.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Saprouter - Host did not respond times

    Hello,
We have configured the saprouter with a VPN, the test connection in SM59 is OK.
When I try to start  "R/3 Support" in SAP Support Portal, the SAP Service Connector gives me the message: "The service connection has been opened successfully." but SAPRouter status does not get "connect", it keeps on "Host did not respond x times".
How can I find the problem? If the SAP Connector shows me "The service connection has been opened successfully."?
    Regards

    Hi Richard
    1.  Is it new SAProuter installed or already working one?
    2. In which OS? could you refer the SAP links

UseCase: I have installed Flash Builder 4.5 on computer 1. On this computer we configured our licence. This was 4 years ago. Now we set up a computer 2 with Flash Buidler 4.7. We were trying to put in our license to this computer. It did not accept this serial. Is it possible to initialize several computers with the same serial number or is this issue related to the version 4.5 or/and 4.7.

This is probably one of the files that is required by the template you are using.
These files are inside the iWeb app. Control click the iWeb app icon and select "Show package contents".
You need to dig down through the folders and files to find what you want...
    Contents/Resources/da.lproj/Templates/
If the file is missing you would need to re install the iWeb app...

  • Server I5SAP did not accept login request as admin on port 50718

    Hi,
We have BI 7.0 running on ISeries on a dual stack.
When we are trying to apply Support Stack through JSPM we are getting an error.
The JSPM is able to connect to server and when the password is supplied it does not take it.
I have tested the password by loggin into the system as j2ee_admin and the password is correct.
There is no VPN in between the remote host and the Server.
I did applied java stack on another SAP System which is physicall running on the same system with another system no.
The system from where I am connecting to the server does have the host entry of the server. (As per NOTE 783965)
The server is on i5sap.bobjane.com.au and host file carries this entry.
I did try connecting to server as I5SAP.bobjane.com.au / I5SAP/ ipaddress but nothing worked.
I am unsure about the what could be the problem.
    Appreciate any suggestion.
    Thanks & Regards

From here it is evident that , it is not authorization or connection problem but the service is missing in the instance itself..
You can see 50717, 50718 missing in BIP instacne where as 50517,505718 available in BIQ instance.
    Appriciate any help.
