XI PCK (SP9) Loopback Example

Does anyone have the definitive documentation on getting this to work in SP9?

Testing sap adapter on PCK
1.     Prerequisite:
My current PCK is SP14
2.     Configure the property in service SAP XI Adapter XI in visual administrator
Reference document: Partner Connectivity kit ->Adapter and Module Development ->Example Adapter and Example Module -> Configuration Objects for Adapter
Test in the browser the url specified in xiadapter.isconfig.url using the username in xiadapter.isconfig.username and password in xiadapter.isconfig.password
The property xiadapter.adapterTypeNamespace keeps default value http://sap.com/xi/XI/System
3.     Configure the file adapter inherent in PCK as sender and receiver to make sure the testing environment is ok
For configuring the file adapter, find the help doc in Partner Connectivity kit->Adapters->File/FTP Adapters to configure the channel:
Find help doc in Partner Connectivity kit ->Adapter and Module Development ->Example Adapter and Example Module -> Configuration Objects for Adapter Test to configure agreement
4.     Test the file adapter whether it works. If not working, I am not clear too.
Check adapter channels whether it configured right: http://host:port/mdt/amtServlet
Check adapter agreement whether it configure right: http://host:port/MessagingSystem/monitor/auditlog.jsp.
5.     Get the sample adapter from the PCK named sample_ra.sda
6.     Change the property xiadapter.adapterTypeNamespace to value http://sap.com/xi/XI/Sample, due to the sample adapter using this namespace.
7.     Deploy the sample_ra.sda using sdm tool
8.     Upload the metadata named SampleRA.xml located in sample_ra.sda to the server: http://host:port/CPACache/schemaupload.jsp. Specify the adapter type to JCA and adapter namespace to http://sap.com/xi/XI/Sample complicant to the info denoted in RA.xml in sample_ra.sda.
9.     Configure the sample adapter in pck like file adapter.  In the dropdown list, you select the “JCA|http://sap.com/xi/XI/Sample”. Pck address is  http://host:port/pck/start/index.jsp
10.     Test the sample adapter, if it is not ok, maybe I missed someone, please tell me.
Check adapter channels whether it configured right: http://host:port/mdt/amtServlet
Check adapter agreement whether it configure right: http://host:port/MessagingSystem/monitor/auditlog.jsp.
P.S. 1.the namespace in xiadapter.adapterTypeNamespace need be compliant to the adapter namespace being tested. I got it from forum. Just followed it
    2. For my own scenario, I need to use my own adapter and file adapter to work together, I just change my own adapter’s namespace to http://sap.com/xi/XI/System.

  • CRio 9014, 9116 and 9870 - serial write not working

    Hi,
I am trying to read string from the text file and write to the serial port on 9870. The string are being read fine, they are getting in the Write_FIFO, the wait on IRQ passes all the bytes to the serial port. BUT I am struck, because there is nothing coming out of the serial port. I tried using scope to see if there is any signal, but there was not any. I have attached the FPGA and Host side of the program for any quick suggestions.
Can some body please help? I will appreciate it a lot.

    Hi,
I talked to an NI help, and they suggested to try and work out the serial loopback example. I tried to implement that and at the end of the run, the execution drops no errors but i do see the timed out indicator going true for the read part of the program. I have tried everything i know of, I will appreciate any help. I have attached the FPGA and host programs if anybody wants to check it. The digital output channels were used just see if the sequence structure runs, and it does run fine.

  • CMS(IR ID Object's Transports) Process For SP12

    Hi All,
Recently, we have upgraded our XI to SP12.
But since then, we are facing problems with our IR and ID object's transports.
When we follow our regular transport process we are facing issues.
Is there any CMS document especially for XI SP12?
Does anybody know about the exact process for transporting IR and ID objects?
We have followed our regular Export from DEV system then import it in Staging and then assemble and then import in Production.
But is there new process for SP12?
    Please help.

  • XI PCK loopback scenario

    Hi,
I've read something about using the PCK in a loopback scenario to develop and test Adapter-Modules on one machine, without having a full XI running.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any detail information how to do that.
It would be really nice and helpful if someone could give me some tips how to do that.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

You find this in the online documentation for XI 3.0

  • SP9 on PCK - file adapter configuration or Messaging System Test

    Hi,
I have upgraded my XI 3.0 PCK from SP1 to SP9. This is fine but now I do not have the Messaging System Test JSP
(I could not install the old one).So I would like to
configure the file adapter to send to my adapter some outbound messages.
I have tried configuring the file adapter as
I do on full XI server but the file adpater on PCK
just doesn't want to recognize the binding. No error logs, nothing. Any ideas what could be wrong ?
    Sincerely,
    Maxim Naidenov

The configuration of the PCK is different to the XI.
    You need:
    Communication Channel:
    -> for Sender (File)
-> for Receiver (XI) (Here you enter the URL of the XI)
sender agreement (matching sender channel and interface)
receiver agreement (matching receiver channel and interface)
As the XI needs the same configuration for partner and service as the PCK, you should create two partners for PCK and XI and assign the sender channel to the service belonging to the partner PCK and the receiver channel to the service belonging to the partner XI.
    I hope that helps
    Stefan

  • PCK :: Configuration Example: Message Exchange

    Hello experts,
I has a problem with the configuration example from the SAP help to the partner Connectivity Kit.

I have built up everything like in the description - two PCK (party_A and party_B) and XI (party_XI).
In message monitor of the first PCK (party A) stands that a message is explained successfully and second with error.
    Status: waiting.
    Details -

    Is it executable?

    Hi Zoran
While using BPM as well you will need to have communication channels.
    BPM - > BAPI request.
    BAPI response -> BPM
both sender and receiver channels are required for you.
1.Demand for a material is send via HTTP to XI
2.XI does a material availability check to the SAP system
3.A material reservation has to be done if there are any materials available in the stock (inventory) to the SAP system
4.If there is no material available a purchase order to a supplier (no SAP) has to be done via FTP
5.Parallel to the purchase order a purchase order confirmation is send to the the SAP system.
6.The supplier sends a purchase order confirmation to XI
7.The XI sends a purchase order confirmation to the SAP system
If i understood your requirement correctly and you want to use BPM. You need to do following in BPM
Receivestep1(receive HTTP post) -> transform1(mapping to BAPI request) ->send step1(Send BAPI request to SAP) -> Receivestep2 (Receive BAPI response from SAP) -> Transform2 (Map BAPI response to File)-> send2(File post to non SAP supplier)-> Receive3(receive purchase order confirmation)-> transform3(map to SAP purchase order confirmation)-> send3(Purchase order confirmation to sap)
    You need no of channels
    1.Receive 1 - (HTTP)
    2.Send1/Receive2 - (RFC)
    3.Send2 - (FTP)
    4. Receive3( HTTP or FTP)
    5. For purchase order confirmation.
    Thanks

  • PCK loopback configuration in NW04s

Hello, my company has a few PCK installations on Unix and Linux machines (NW04s). I am trying to create a loopback scenario. By loopback I mean that the PCK works without an integration server and it sends the messages to itself. I use file sender and file receiver. The sender tries to process the file, but fails. The message is logged in the error log. I get the following error in the error log:
"Exception: no XI receiver agreement configured in PCK for XI message header."
Could it be a configuration problem in the "SAP XI Adapter : XI" service? Any other ideas? On a NW04 PCK it worked fine.

  • PCK loopback trouble in SP14

    Hi,
We try to use the PCK to test adapter development. According to help.sap.com you should be able to configure a loopback scenario by setting some xi adapter properties in visual admin, our values are:
    xiadapter.internal devModePCK
    xiadapter.isconfig.url http://localhost:50000/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
    xiadapter.isconfig.username pckreceiver
    xiadapter.isconfig.password saptech
When posting messages it indeed tries to post them back to the PCK but we get the following error:
    Transmitting the message to endpoint
http://localhost:50000/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI using connection AFW failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.MessagingException: Could not parse XMBMessage due to invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML.
    Anybody seen this before?
    rgds Johan Göthberg

    1. did you test the url in browser
    2. does the sap sample adpater's namespace map with namespace in sap xi adapter xi in visual admin?
    3. the jndi is something like deployedAdapters/<adaptername>/shareable/<adaptername>
the adapter name is the name of your archive, if your archive is myadapter.sda, and your jndi is deployedAdapters/myadapter/shareable/myadapter
    4. can you try the file apdater in pck first

  • PCK Update to SP9 hangs in SDM

hi there. i'm having trouble upgrading my PCK installation. the WEB AS update seemed to work just fine using SAPInst. Now that it comes to deploying the new AdapterFramework my SDM causes trouble.First time it hung during deployment of the AdapterFramework Core - several packages have been deployed but then it hung when deploying '*security.service'. after 20min i killed sdm and now i cannot get sdm to deploy this SAP-XIAFC-sca file at all since it always hangs/freezes in Step 2 of 4! Even when i restore my backup where no SDM-deployment at all has been done - still the same. any suggestions ? i'm stuck...

In past time, I had the same error. The problem was with memory parameters for SDM. Check memory parameters for SDM.

  • How can I create a loopback activity

    Hello All.
How can I create a loopback process in BPEL? For example: I have a flow that has a human task that submits a proposal. After
this, Theres is another human task that will review this proposal with Approve or Reject options. If it is approved, then the flow goes on. If it is rejected, then the flow has to go back to the proposal subimission process. You can see an image (the first image in the URL) that ilustrates this flow here: http://onbpms.com/2007/02/08/looping-backward/. The rest of the page is not important. Just look at the image to understand my problem. How can implement such loop in BPEL?
I´m using JDeveloper Studio Edition 10.1.3.2.0.4066 and SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0
    Thanks for any help,
    Glauco

Yes, I have. This is the instructions that oracle gave me.
    There are two approaches:
    1) use WHILE bpel activity.
    a) Have a variable initially set to N, and loop it till it becomes Y.
    b) Inside the loop, you can have the assign activity, and human task call.
    c) If the humantask result is Reject, continue the loop again
    d) Else, set the variable as Y and end the loop
    2) Use scope
For loopback process you can place the process in a scope and make use
of the replay scope method to repeat the scope.
a).Place the assign and UserTask in a single scope.
    b) For the Reject condition in the swtich activity , place a throw
    activity that throws a remoteFault.
c). Put a catch around the scope to handle the fault thrown by the Reject condition.
d). In this catch place a throw activity, with local part = replay. Choose the remoteFault fault and change de local part to replay
e). This would replay the whole scope when the reject condition is meet.
    Both approaches work just fine.

  • JCO conn. for WAS 6.40 trial install (EP 6.0 SP9 download from SDN)

    Hello,
I have a question regarding JCO connections for web-dynpro example/tutorials. I have installed WAS 6.40 sneak preview from EP 6.0 SP9 download from SDN. Installation instruction says:       Choose "No SLD available"
but the web-dynpro example/tutorial asks to create JCO connections by going to web-dynpro -> content admin..etc on http:<host>:50000..Here, all the tabs relating to creating JCO connections appear to be "protected" on my screen. so I can't do anything further. By going to http:<host>:50000/sld, I also tried to add SLD server..but that is not helping. There is some "import" button, but which CIM file (in which folder etc) am i supposed to import for a simple test system? What are the steps for a bare minimum setup so that I can use the WAS 6.20 system at work-place as my backend & try out the web-dynpro examples? Do I really need SLD setup? Where is documentation about all this after one installs the WAS 6.40 JAva? I was expecting it somewhere at least in the eclipse IDE help-documentation..None of the web-dynpro tutorials explain this !
    thanks

  • Adapter Development - No documented examples.

    Hi All,
There is documentation in regards to the example custom adapter at the following location:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/8b/895e407aa4c44ce10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
However, the code and the help files do not really advise how you build any type of adapter from scratch.  This seems to be a tightly held secret at SAP and I was wondering if someone can provide or reference a blog or similar which describes the process to build a custom adapter (in and/or outbound).  I don't feel it's really that complicated as I believe most of the code in the example should be reusable.
Note - I can't even get this type of information from my SAP XI subject matter expert and I feel this is an area where XI is perceived as not mature!
    Regards,
    Matt
ps. It's not my intent for rampant custom adapters to be developed, but where the design is impacted poorly due to limitations in say the JDBC adapter, we need to understand what's involved to build an adapter.

    Hi Matt,
The information you are looking for is available from service.sap.com.
Specifically, you want to download the XI PCK, which contains the code for a complete adapter.  The PCK also includes testing tools for "loop back" so you can examine the contents of messages sent without using an XI system.
PCK is used by various 3rd parties to develop adapters.
To install PCK, you will need to download the WebAS J2EE also.
    Regards,
    Bill
