XI/PI trial - when?

Well it's been a few years already since SAP promised an XI trial and still nothing. Will there ever be one?
I can't understand why SAP doesn't want to make a PI trial available to the community, especially if they claim it to be such a "strategic" element in the NetWeaver suite. Probably one more reason why it hasn't really caught on in the market as compared to the competition. Shameful...

Dear Thomas,
Pls find the forum:
Re: XI in SAP Netweaver 7.0 ABAP Trial Version?
Hope this will ans your query.

  • Why do I keep getting prompted to use the Acrobat XI Trial when I already have Acrobat XI Pro?  How do I get this to stop?

Every time I open a PDF file, I get prompted with an Acrobat XI Pro message that asks me if I want to "License This Software" or "Continue Trial".  I signed a year commitment about 3 months ago and continue to be billed for Acrobat Pro XI, so I'm not sure why I'm getting this message.  It says I only have 23 days remaining on my "Trial", so not sure if it will revert back to the software I bought at that point or not.  It is quite annoying having to deal with the pop up every time though, so would prefer to fix it, if possible.

    Hi Tom,
You might need to accept the end user license when prompted following the on-screen instruction.
Let me know if it works fine.

  • What happens to the form I created with free trial when I upgrade?

I signed up for a free AdobeForms account 6 months ago.  In that time I created a really detailed form.  I am still able to access the account and the form to this day without any problems.  However I now want to upgrade my account so I can do more with the form I created with the free account.
What will happen to my existing form when I upgrade my AdobeForms account to paid subscription?  I am assuming it would just remain in my account.  However when my secretary called to order the full subscription, the sales rep suggested that the existing form created via the trial would be wiped-out upon upgrading the account.
Is this true/accurate?  I do not want to lose the form I have already perfected when upgrading.
    Thank you for any info!!

Thanks!  Ok... well we're going to order the full subscription now, I made a PDF backup of the web form in case, but really looking forward to not losing the designed form.

  • CS3 Extended trial when CS3 installed

I am wanting to trial CS3 extended on a system which already has CS3 installed. When I download the trial it does not attempt to install CS3 extended as a separate application but merely "repairs" the existing CS3 installation and does not give me an opportunity to trial CS3 extended!
How can I get CS3 extended trial to install as an additional but entirely seperate application?
To add a further complication the system is a windows 64bit. The current cs3 is installed but does not take advantage of 64 bit features and installs as a 32 bit application in C:\Program Files(86). I understand CS3 extended is meant to take advantage of 64 bit so clearly a seperate install into C:\Program Files is needed. The whole purpose of the trial is to see how well CS3 extended takes advantage of the Windows 64 bit OS.
Naturally I do not want the existing CS3 installation to be changed or in any way compromised by the trial.
    Thanks in advance for info

I registered here on the Adobe site in 2000 or the year before but my contacts with Adobe and a few of their old hands go back long before then.
I agree with your "flying F" comment and deeply regret the loss of direct contact with and responsiveness of the pre-"contracted out support" days. I agree that the "old engineers" appear to have been deterred from posting but IMHO that had little to do with Bobs analysis about negative comments by users when the forums got going. The pressure on the engineers not to contribute appeared to have more to do with their honesty and tendency not to contradict users who voiced legitimate grievances. This was not welcomed by management who seemed to me to have morphed the organisation from a user responsive outfit to a much more bunkered view of the world. To me the turning point came after the blistering Adobe received when, in the eyes of many users, they failed to respond quickly and efficiently to the introduction of firewire.
Since then response has IMHO gone down hill to the extent that they the response to legitimate user complaints is pretty poor. The way they responded over the misleading information about the differences between PS CSs and CS3 extended is a case in point. Most organisations would have at a minimum said OK if you are going to spend some more money with us then we will be v. happy to upgrade you from CS3 to CS3 extended rather say you have to pay full price for the extended version on top of paying for CS3. This is therefore a reasoned objection to what to me appears to be a grossly insensive way of dealing with a legitimate enquiry.
There are those hear who say it is not worth commenting here because only users hear what is being said.
I do not agree.. I understand the discussions here are carefully read by a team at Adobe HQ .. attention is only paid when enough voices speak with sufficient reason and clarity. So IMHO we should speak up responsibly here with the expectation that what we say will be listened to even when the listening is not publicly acknowledged!!
I also agree that plain ******** is destructive and should be discouraged.
There needs to be a clear understanding that as users we need Adobe's products and those of us who are long established users wish Adobe well. On the other hand Adobe do have a responsibility to be responsive to us and to clearly expressed reasonable needs.
I also believe there are those whose primary role here is to damp down expectations that what is said here may have an impact there. IMHO the PR should not be believed.

  • How do I find a serial number after re-formatting and reinstalling? System is claiming I have a trial when I've purchased almost $10,000 worth of Adobe software.

I purchased Production Premium which includes Photoshop CS5.1 Extended.  Had to reformat hard drive and reinstall software.  Photoshop will open only as a trial.  Says it needs serial number.  The serial number for Production Premium 5.0 and 5.5 don't work. There is no serial number for individual programs, just the entire suite.  Adobe won't provide phone support.  How am I supposed to get a serial number from a forum???

That's what I did.  I re-installed the entire suite.  Then opened Photoshop 5.1 Extended from Applications.  When I open, it says I'm opening a trial version unless I put in the correct serial number.  I've tried the serial number from the 5.0 suite and the 5.5 suite, both of which we purchased for over $5,000. Neither work and Adobe's telling me they won't provide phone support for anything other than Creative Cloud, and my back office at Adobe verifies I'm using the correct serial numbers.  It's appearing that Adobe's view now is if you aren't regularly renting the latest software from them, they just don't give a damn about your purchases, no matter how extensive. So now where do I go next if Adobe won't support?

  • Why do I have "Start Trial" when I already have a licensed copy of Photo shp

I have licensed PhotoShop 13.0.2.  Twice now when I've tried to start it, I got a pop up screen that required me to "Start a Trial" go to Adobe.com, and enter my serial number before Photoshop would load.
This never happened before.  What am I starting a trial for?

Hello, Pete. I'm assuming you mean you have full Photoshop, in which case you'd be better off asking in the Photoshop forum:
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/general
This forum is for Photoshop Elements, which is only up to version 11 now.

  • Flash Trial when newly downloaded refuses to work unless I pay?

I downloaded a trial version to test it (And so I'd have flash at home, I need to finish off a big project for monday)  and It won't open unless I get a License and it doesn't give me the option to continue trial -  though I've only just downloaded it so the trial isn't up? Why is that?

when you install you're offered to license or use the trial.  if you select trial and see a message that the trial is expired, there's nothing easy to do to regain the trial, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/trial-software-expired-early.html

I have bought adobe premiere elements and Photoshop 12 . When i install the software i ad the serial number and it installs. However when i start using the program it says its in trial mode and i need to enter a serial number?

  • CS6 programs start telling me I'm using a trial when I'm not

I have a creative cloud account and use the programs on two computers. Since a week or so one of the computers Adobe keeps reminding me that my trial version will only work for a limited remaining number of days. It gives me the option to keep on using the trial or enter an unclock code which I don't think I have since I'm using CC. So what can I do?

I am having the exact same problem. So I went through the Adobe help stuff, and this is the conversation that ensued:

You are now chatting with 'Satish'
Satish: Hello! Welcome to Adobe Customer Service.
    Satish: Hi Marti.
    Marti Reed: Hi Satish
Satish: I understand you are not able to work with your subscription software. Am I correct?
Marti Reed: So my problem is I have a subscription to Photoshop CS6 and tonite when I opened it it told me my free trial is over and I need to purchase a subscription.
Satish: Thank you for the information.
Satish: I will be glad to check and help you.
Satish: May I have the order number of this subscription software please?
Marti Reed: I need to fix this ASAP as I am in the middle of something I need to get done.
    Marti Reed: The order number?????
Marti Reed: Are you kidding me???
Marti Reed: Where do I find the order number???
Satish: I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
Satish: May I know by using which email address you have placed the order for subscription?
Marti Reed: My email address is [email protected]
    Satish: Thank you.
Satish: May I place you on hold for 2-3 minutes while I check for the information for with resources?
Marti Reed: Nothing in my account information has any kind of "order number" listed for my "Creative Cloud sing-app membership for PHotoshop (one year)"
Marti Reed: Yes. I'm fine with a 2-3 minute hold
    Satish: Thank you.
    Marti Reed: You're welcome!
Satish: Thanks for your time and patience.
Satish: Marti, I request you to login to creative.adobe.com by using your Adobe ID and password and you will be able to use the subscription with out any issues.
Marti Reed: ??????? Log in from where?
Marti Reed: I just want to open my software
    Satish: Please click here
Marti Reed: So I logged in and I get nothing but a screen that says "You don't have any files yet."
Marti Reed: How is this supposed to make it so that when I open Photoshop CS6 it opens???
Marti Reed: So I did that and when I try to open PS CS6 I'm still getting the message that I need to purchase a subscription
Marti Reed: Are you still therem Satish?
    Satish: Yes.
    Satish: I am here.
Satish: I am sorry Marti, since we are from the general customer support team and have not been trained on resolving technical issues with the software.
Satish: However, we have a relevant technical support team who can check and help you resolve this issue.
Satish: Let me check and help you with the contact number for the technical support team.
Marti Reed: I'm in the middle of a project I need to complete ASAP and you aren't trained on resolving issues with the software?????
Satish: I am extremely sorry, since we customer service are not technically trained technically for technical query.
Marti Reed: I'm also in the middle of a major Adobe sponsored CreativeLIVE Photoshop week and I will describe what happened tonight.
Satish: Please click here for the contact details
Marti Reed: That's the very same page that led me to here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Satish: Please contact 800-833-6687.
Marti Reed: You have GOT to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!
Marti Reed: That means I have waited about an hour to get nowhere.
Satish: Our technical team chat service are not available at the moment.
Marti Reed: So I just called that number and they're telling their business hours start tomorrow morning. This is ridiculous!!!!
Satish: I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you in this regard.
Marti Reed: This is way more than an inconvenience. This is a total fail.
Marti Reed: So there's nothing you can do to just make it so that the product I have paid for works???????
Marti Reed: What are you here for?
Marti Reed: So I have a job I have to complete by tomorrow morning and I have a subscription I have paid for and it is completely screwed up and Adobe can't just make my subscription work?\
Satish: I am sorry Marti, we have not been trained on resolving technical issues with the software.
Marti Reed: But that's what the website sends paying customers here to resolve and you can't resolve it? What are you supposed to be doing?
Satish: I am sorry about that. We do have the technical chat support right now at this time.
Marti Reed: It's not an issue with the software, it's an issue with the subscription. And the website led me here to resolve that.
Satish: I apologize you had an unpleasant experience with the phone wait time. Let me assure you we are improving our services so that we can service our customers with all the resources available.
Satish: Once again we apologize for any kind of disappointment caused and hope to serve you in future.
Marti Reed: I am saving this conversation and will be posting it.
Marti Reed: So please kindly tell me what you are here for since obviously you are not here for what the website led me here to do.
Satish: I am sorry as we are from customer support and the issue you are facing is with technical issue.
Marti Reed: So what is customer support, then, if it's not about customer support?
Marti Reed: Oh, I get it. It's about telling me Adobe has screwed up my subscription, so I can't access a product I have paid for when I need it, and I need to go through an hour-long process that leads me nowhere but to a phone number that doesn't work until tomorrow morning.
Marti Reed: That's gonna go over really well tomorrow at Adobe-sponsored CreativeLIVE Photoshop week when lots of people are asking about whether to subscribe to Adobe's subscriptions.
Marti Reed: Customer Services conveniently exits Customer Services because Customer Services is not about Customer Services. Got it. Thank you Adobe Customer Services!!!!
Satish: Marti, I completely understand and I apologize for the frustration you have gone through. Definitely I wouldn't have been happy if this has happened to me. Let me reassure you that we can help you with query regarding Customer Support, however this is something beyond Customer Service team can help you to fix this.
Satish: I will personally follow up with this and ask one of the technical support team to contact via phone once they are available.
Satish: May I have your phone number and the best time to contact you please?
    Satish: Are we still connected?
Marti Reed: My phone number is 505-255-0164. The best time to contact me is in the next 30 minutes, after which I need to go to bed after not finishing the job I need to finish. The next best time is tomorrow morning 9AM Mountain Standard Time, before I start back in with Adobe-sponsored CreativeLIVE Photoshop Week.
Satish: I am sorry the technical support team is not available to fix this issue. However, I can ask them to contact you as soon as they are available. They should be available through chat within next 2 - 3 hours.
Satish: Is that okay for us to call you after 2 - 3 hours once they are available?
Marti Reed: No it's not. If they can't call me in the next 30 minutes, it's too late. It's 10:38 here and I need to go to bed.
Satish: I completely understand that. Unfortunately they are not available now so that I can ask them to contact you right away. If they are available I would have transferred this chat in the beginning of this conversation.
Satish: Is that okay for us to call tomorrow morning 9 AM Mountain Standard Time?
    Marti Reed: Yes
Satish: Thank you for confirming. I will ask them to contact you tomorrow morning 9 AM Mountain Standard Time.
Satish: Once again we apologize for any kind of disappointment caused and hope to serve you in future.
Satish: I am happy to help. Is there anything else I can help you with?
Marti Reed: Apparently not. I just want to be able to dependably use the software I am paying for. People are very interested in using the subscription service to use Adobe's products, everybody was asking about it today. If this kind of thing is going to happen, there needs to be a way for Adobe to quickly respond to it.
Satish: I completely agree with you there, if the product does not work after paying for the service is the worst thing that can happen. Rest assured we are looking at all these issues and working towards to avoid such errors in future.
Marti Reed: Especially when photographers are often under major time pressures
Satish: Yes, I agree with that and we are working to improve our overall services and I am sure this should not happen in future.
Satish: I appreciate your time and patience.
Marti Reed: There are a bazillion people participating in this week's Adobe sponsored CreativeLIVE Photoshop week. The idea of subscribing to the products is constantly talked about. I've loved it until tonight. There's some kind of big glitch and Adobe needs to fix it ASAP
Satish: Yes, we are looking at this glitch and ensure we will rectify these kind of errors as soon we are aware of it.
Satish: Thank you for contacting Adobe.  We are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Goodbye!
Thank you for chatting with us. Please click the "Close" button on the top right of the chat window to tell us how we did today.

  • Downloading XI pro trial when I'm already running XI standard?

Hi, I currently own XI standard (Windows 8) and would like to try XI pro, primarily for pdf --> ppt. However, when I try to download the XI pro trial the download assistant states that I'm already running a more updated version and the XI pro trial download is halted. Do I need to uninstall XI standard first? Other suggestions? Thanks

Stantheman yes you will need to remove any previous installations of Acrobat prior to install Adobe Acrobat XI Professional on Windows 8.

  • Shows as trial when I've paid for photography plan

I've tried EVERYTHING Adobe suggests including uninstalling Lr, CS, Creative Cloud, etc.   My CC says I have no updates to install for Lr, but when I try to set Lr as my default to import photos (Mac laptop with current OS), Lr is grayed out and tells me it is the expired trial version.   I am paid up monthly for a year, so it OUGHT to play nicely, but won't.  How do I fix this?

I downloaded from the web I think.  When I open the CC icon (in the bar across the top of my Mac screen)  and click on Lr, it tells me Uninstall Unavailable.   ???  If I go to Finder, Utilities, Adobe Installer, it doesn't show Lr or the option to uninstall--only for CC and Photoshop (and Elements and CS6).  I uninstalled CC, Photoshop 2014 from CC, and CS 6.  I emptied the trash can, and used the CC Cleaner Tool.   Then downloaded CC again and Photoshop again, but it said Lightroom is already installed.  ???   It's a never ending circle.....Thank you for your help.  Still confused!

  • How come Adobe keeps signing me up for a trial when I've already paid in advance?

I have a paid-up membership, but, when I activate the CC programs, the programs ask me if I want a "trial" and will not open until I sign in and then it opens a trial (30 days left).
I am deeply concerned that this will muck up my already operating membership and existing files. Please advise as to how to save my already months of work in the CC.
Am afraid it will lose those months of work!!!
    Thanks.

  • Are there still problems with the free Iwork trial when you then buy it?

    Hi all,
new macbook user - it's brilliant by the way, and first post on here so hi all.
Saw this thread via a search, and saw similar points on an Amazon review:
    http://discussions.info.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2202953
Does anyone know if this problem still exists (thread was some time ago) or can I download the free trial without worrying (would like to do some work this weekend and dont want to wait for delivery of the software - I def plan to buy it).
Apols if the topic has been recently covered, please direct me to that if so
    Thanks

Apple made a decision which boggles my mind: there are two versions of iWork, one you purchase online getting a serial number you apply to the demo. The demo contains the full contents of the program, you lose nothing by purchasing the program this way. The other version of iWork is a boxed copy, the same as the demo+serial# except that this version requires no serial number. Mixing the two creates unhappy people
If you download the demo and then purchase the boxed version you must remove the demo (and all support files and preferences associated with the demo) before installing the disc copy. If you don't, the program thinks you need a serial number and continues working in demo mode until it expires.
If you can't wait for the box to arrive, why not just download the demo and purchase the serial# online from Apple?

  • Why is CS6 on trial when I've had it for a year

Last year i started my game programming course and got a CS6 master collection code that I used and then a few months later they told me to create an account which I did. I then used my code again attaching it to my account instead of just my computer. Now its September again almost a year since I initially redeemed the code and I'm on the trial of CS6. It never said any where that all i had was a 1 year subscription and i was under the impression I had CS6 permanently. To make things even worse I sign in to view my products and apparently I've never had CS6 before.

These keyboard are not forever.  I had one fail and Loditech offered to give me a new one, but I didn't have the receipt.  I sucked it up and bought another one. A new one can be had for $70-$100 and there are several on eBay for around $25.
