XMII Logic for calculating mean time

Hi All,
My xMII is connected to OPC and from OPC server I am getting the Status of few equipments. I am trying to calculate the mean time between failures. Let me be bit precise.
Lets take for example, an equipment called Reactor. The Reactor was in running status at 6:00. The status was failure at 6:15, again failure at 6:30. So, I have to track the mean time between two successive 'Failures'. If the time difference between two successive failures exceeds 15 mins, then an entry of that equipment is to be made into the database.
Can anybody help me out with a logic as to how should I proceed??
And please explain the steps in detail.
Thanks in Advance,
Lipsa.

If your OPC tag is a digital tag, you can se the totalizer block and some simple math to achieve this.  But you'll need to read the documentation first, try it, then come back with questions!

  • SAP logic for calculating the replenishment requirement - IS Retail

    Hi All,
Could you explain from where does the RPLRQ field is getting picked up from the WRPT table. And what is the SAP logic for calculating the replenishment requirement for a particular article.
    Regards,
    PSS

    Dear PSS,
Field RPLRQ represents for the replenishment requirement determined in the previous replenishment run. This can be changed when follow-on documents are created if order optimizing is active (for example, if quantities are to be rounded off).

  • How implement logic for messsage timeout / "time to live"

    Hi all!
I have a scenario where it is critical that a message will be delivered before a given deadline and if not (e.g due to target system being unavalable) the message must be discared and an alert raised. The timeout logic must be processed as late as possible in the pipeline to be accurate (e.g. in the adapter / delivery logic).
Is there standard functionality available for this in PI/XI or is a custom adapter module needed?
In the latter case could you point me to some resources / sample code for custom module development.
Points will be awarded for helpful answers.
    Best regards,
    Christian

    Hi
If you are using ccBPM deadline branch can be utilized for this purpose.
Otherwise i don't this this is possible.

  • Logic for Calculating Period wise Stock??

I wasnt to get the  stock of any year/period. I know  it comes from MBEW/MBEWH .Can ny body tell me the logic to calculate stock? or there any direct table available from where it can just be picked up. I can not use stock standard report for some reasons.
    Regards,
    Sunil

    Hi,
If it is with respect to a plant and storage location, then we need to use MCHB and MCHBH tables in which Stock for the current period we will get it from MCHB and Stock for the previous period we will get it from MCHBH.
Opening Stock  = Stock from MCHBH for the Period -1.
Closing Stock  = Stock from MCHB for the Period

    Hi Guhapriyan!
In table EKKO / EKPO you find the purchase orders. Be sure, they are still open: EKPO-ELIKZ = space.
In table EKET you will find (estimated) arrival dates -> take deliveries of corresponding week.

  • What is the logic for 2LIS_17_I3HDR to pick a order as completed on time?

    Hi, Experts:
I am working on PM using 2LIS_17_I3HDR to load data. In 2LIS_17_I3HDR, there is a field called "orders completed on-time". I am wondering what is the logic for 2LIS_17_I3HDR to identify if an order was completed on time. I would assume it compares some kind of completion/finish date with a planed/schduled comletion/finish date. Would someone please tell me what fields in what table or in transaction IW39 DOES does 2LIS_17_I3HDR  use for this?
    Many thanks!
    Jenny

    Hi, Ram:
    Thank you for the reply!
The key figure is ZHLAFIH_TGERL (Number of On-time Closed Orders). I saw some SAP programs refering to its component type "DZHLAFIH_TE" too.
    Thanks,
    Jenny

  • Do logical processors constitute as pCPU's for calculating pCPU to vCPU ratios?

I have been trying to get a solid answer of what constitutes as a pCPU.  In vCenter, if you click on a cluster > summary you get a total of "Processors."  This number, however, is the summation of core count for all the hosts in the clusters.  In the article from zdnet (http://www.zdnet.com/virtual-cpus-the-overprovisioning-penalty-of-vcpu-to-pcpu-ratios-4010025185/) he mentions that logical processors (when hyperthreading is turned on) are to be counted as pCPU's when determining your pCPU to vCPU ratio for CPU Ready Times (or the vm processor scheduler).
Ultimately, this is what I am trying to determine (i.e. what my pCPU to vCPU ratio is).  We have a lot high of CPU Ready Times and I'm trying to determine how much net new hardware (pCPU's) I need to order (please consider that we are already pursing right sizing vm's and do not need information on ready times per se; rather, just trying to get the low down on what constitutes as pCPU's here and/or how the VM scheduler works with logical processors).
    Thanks in advance!

To anyone who is still looking for the answer as to whether logical processors constitute as pCPU's when determining the vCPU to pCPU ratios, the definite answer is yes.
    See Scott D. Lowe's document here: https://communities.vmware.com/servlet/JiveServlet/previewBody/21181-102-1-28328/vsphere-oversubscription-best-practices…
Which also confirms with this zdnet article: http://www.zdnet.com/virtual-cpus-the-overprovisioning-penalty-of-vcpu-to-pcpu-ratios-4010025185/
From an empirical stance, I would agree this is correct as well.  We are able to easily get an 8:1 ratio without any ready time or heavy "workloads."  I have been monitoring this since the original post and have not had any issues and having great density results.

  • Currency Translation for Calculated Key figures

Hello Friends I want to use the Currency Translation for Calculated Key figures.
But when I go to Query and go to conversion tab it is always greyed out. Does that mean we can set the fixed conversion type for calculated key figures. like ZSAD Total debit - credit -flow value.
What is the way to do fixed currency translation in query for calculated key figures.
All the below is done now just want to specify this in query but I can'nt since it is greyed out.
    All the below is done
I have created a Currency Translation Type " FiscperConversion" "ZVHGR" now this has Exchange Rate Type from Variable "ZVARN" (Which is a variable single value manual input on 0RTYPE Infoobject for exchange rate.)
    2. Now Currency Tab: Target Currency is selected from Variable placed in the Report. ZRPVAR.
    3. Now the Variable Time Reference is used. Standard Infoobject 0FISCPER
    which is beginning of period.

    Hi soniya
Your calculated KF is result of some calculation ...so system will not allow u to do any translation on it...to get CT on CKF you should do it on base key figure...still if you wish to do then you can create a formula variable having processing type a customer exit...write code in cmod to rad exchange rate and multiply ur CKF by this formula variable....
    Thanks

  • Worrying about iMac with Logic Pro. (i mean big fan noise)

    hi.
i am thinking about buying a new iMac with Apogee Ensemble. but i am a bit worried about the fan noise from imac when i use lots of plug-ins and etc.
well... the best way is to buy a Mac Pro and stash the machine in a machine room or a cabinet or something. but the budget is low here.
does anyone have any good ideas? do i have to take the fan noises? or is it really so powerful so that makes no such big fan noises?
    thanks

I have no doubt that you and I haven't been reading the same posts, but I was under the impression that most people were much more infuriated that there was no announcement or run up to the launch (and thus they bought L9 just before).
Actually, we have been reading the same posts! Apple, historically, have never (and I do mean NEVER) pre-announce releases of Logic Pro. They are always announced on release day, even going back to before the Mac App Store, when boxed versions were still available. Apple do have quite a generous refund policy, so I suggest that anyone who feels cheated could always 'report an issue' via the link in the receipt email and try and obtain a refund. Personally, I would never buy a current version of Logic Pro until July was over, but as I've been using it for over 11 years now (before Apple bought Emagic), I guess I'm very familiar with the release times.
So why not keep support for EXSManager/Keymap, or at least a download link for paying customers. There is no other program that can do what it did unless you want to go back to an old version of Logic and utilise functionality that they removed yet is still relevant today.
Redmatica wouldn't have been allowed (under the terms and conditions of the buyout), to keep making the EXSManager, it would have been illegal as it's now an Apple product. That's like saying why didn't Emagic keep making a version of Logic for the PC after Apple bought them, because they obviously weren't allowed under the terms and conditions because it became an Apple product. While I can understand your frustration, you also have to understand the legalities that take place during takeovers and buyouts, as it's really not as simple as it may at first appear.
