XML forms show content of HTML document

Hi all,
I want to show the content of a html document stored on portal KM in the SHOW form. Can this be done? The user can browse in the EDIT form to this html document and store its path. By using a label I can only show the document path or make a link to the document. I'm unable to show the docs content.
How can this be done?

I think this could be done by directly editing the XSL. Unfortunately making changes this ways renders the forms unmanagable because you'll lose your changes when you try to use the forms builder after making your changes.
As for how you can actually do this in XSL, you'll probably have to research that more to be sure. I think you can use a document() function, but I'm not really an XSL pro.

XML Forms show raw xml after transport

Hallo experts,
at the moment I am working to set up a SAP Enterprise Portal 7.4. I was able to export KM content from our old 7.0 portal.
The only problem i am experiencing is that xml forms, that I exported and imported through standard KM export / import, are showing as raw xml.
The forms are available in forms builder and I also generated a preview (compiled the form) for each form and saved after that.
There are no errors in the log that point me in a direction, so please help.
Do you have any ideas what I am missing?

XML forms based content authoring

Hi All,
I was wondering if UCM suite provides any XML forms based authoring as provided by many other Web Content Management product suites OR Site Studio or Site Builder are the only ways to create the content?
What exactly I am looking for is the very conventional way of creating content using XML forms based templates and then applying XSLT to it to generate the output in desired format.
Please let me know if any one know about this or will be helpful if somebody can provide pointers on this.

UCM provides Web Forms functionality. Take a look at Web Form Editor - the component to Oracle Content Server.
Web Form templates can be visualy designed using Web Form Editor.
When user fills in and submits designed and published web form, new content item is created - a form with the data. Data is stored as XML document and can be passed through the workflow for aprove process or integration into back office systems.

Filter Predefined Properies, Feedback Search, XML Forms Show form issues

Hi all,
I have created XML forms with XML builder and I have some questions.
1. When filtering by predefined properties I want to filter by two properties, which are the same. For example, if there is a publication with two authors and author is the predefined property, in the first field I write the name of the first author, in the second field I write the name of the second author, the result is all publications, which are by both authors and all publication, which are either by the one, or by the other.
I don't have this problem when I filter by two different predefined properties. For example the author and the year. Than the result is all publication, which are by the author AND published in the requested year.
How can I set this option to be able to filter by two same predefined properties and the relation between both properties to be AND?(only publications by both author)
2. In the Show form I have created link to the feedback, using XML Forms BUilder, but I need to write first the feedback to be able to see already existing feedbacks,
if there are any. In the ResourceRendering Form I have created link to the feedback by LayoutSet, where I can see first, if there are already existed feedbacks.
If there is any possibility to set a LayoutSet for the Show Form or any other way in the Show form to display first the existing feedbacks and than to be able to write a new.
And something else reffering to the Show form, is it possible to rate the item from Show form or at least to have link to the rating, not a link to the Details.
I have tried to create a link to the /Properties/col:rating, but it doesn't work. The link dispays the value, if it has been already rated.
3. Is it possible to search for any information in the feedbacks(to make the feedback searchable)?

Number of "Draft Forms" showing in Licensing Adobe Document Services, why?

Hi Friends,
I can see following details under the services -->Document Services License Service in VA of ADS Server.
Number of SAP Forms : 0
Number of Customer Forms : 0
Number of Draft forms: 3 <-----only showing.
so where is the setting ? How to convert it customer Forms. why it is showing as Draft forms? any idea???

Forms are classified and displayed as:
● Customer Forms, the total number of your forms.
● SAP Forms, the total number of original SAP forms.
● Draft Forms, the total number of forms in a draft state. Draft forms are forms that are not currently in production and therefore do not count as a licensed/unlicensed form.

Viewing XML Forms in a folder

Hi, I wanted to know if we can control what XML form shows up in a Document library i.e. if I right click on a folder in KM, say Supply Chain > New > Forms, then is there a way by which I can control what forms show up when I click on "New". Thanks for your help.

Hi Victor, Thanks for your help. In my portal, the Document libraries I am trying to access i.e. SRM, SCM, Netweaver etc. are in:
root > GCP Content > GCP Documents > Solutions and Services. Now, when I go to any of these folders, i.e. SRM etc. I want to be able to control which forms are being displayed. I did create a test folder at the location which you have mentioned and also mentioned the required Folder Path but still it does not show up in : root > GCP Content > GCP Documents > Solutions and Services. Can you please provide me with some assistance? Thanks.

How to achieve Single content but multiple views in XML form builder

I have requirement something like this.
I am using xmlform builder to generate the content template for our portal.
I have 5 links where I need to render html content dynamically. I am using NewsExplorer and NewsBrowser layout. Presently I have created 5 xmlforms project and design the layout in the renderlist item. I am not satisfied with my approach. It seems very inefficient of doing it as all the content layout is same. but all the different iviews has different content to pick.
To make myself clear I am giving with an example
I have two iviews
Policy1 and Policy2 which are KM Navigation Iviews whose init path are diferent path to get the different content.
As the content has to generate dynamically , I am using NewsAuthor to create the content.
To achieve this , I have created 2 xmlform project( though the rendering format is SAME) and 4 iviews ( news explorer and newsbrowser for each ie policy1 and policy2).
Since I need to generate some 100 contents like this .
I do not think my approach is a very efficient one though the rendering format remains same.
I wish to achieve this by using one xml form project , one News author and one news browser to create different content as long as the rendering template format is same
this is something like this
when I click on the Policy1 link for content creation , It should only shows Policy1 content format . and should not display the content authoring for policy2. This holds good for the viewing also .and also I would like to create only one xml form project as long as the rendering format is same.
can anyone please tell me how to achieve this ?

To make your project link alone visible, try this
To make the global setting for the availability of XML forms, choose Content Management > Form-Based Publishing > Forms Availability > Global Setting.
To make specific settings for folders, choose Content Management > Form-Based Publishing > Forms Availability > Folder Settings.
You need to give the name(s) of those XML project(s) you want to display in the Forms to Include parameter in the Settings for Folders.

ESS - LWE html documents visble only to content and GP admin roles

Hi,
Some of the content(the html documents) in LWE is only visible for the administrator but not to all the other employees. Like New hire check list for 'My first days' is not visible to all the users, but is only visible to the user with roles content adminstrator and GP roles.
Is ther eanything that needs to be done to rectify this.

Using .xsl in javascript for portal .html (document iview)

Hi,
I prepared .html document has javascript code in it.
Javascript code uses activex object to process .xsl for xml operation.
I used html document in document iview but problem occured.
I think activex object cause the problem or i gave wrong address for xsl document.
If i place xsl document in same folder with html document, how can it be addressed (xsl path)?
Is there sample html document using javascript code that uses xsl and activex object in it?
And is it tested as document iview with no problem?

I just completed designing a website for my restaurant using Dreamweaver 8. I included my menu as part of the website and now wanted to print it for customer use in the restaurant. The document is in html format.
You can only print your source code from Dreamweaver. I don't have DW8 installed anymore, but i think it's: File > Print (or Print Code).
If you want to print how it looks with the HTML rendered, then print it from a browser.

How to use adifferent Show form to display a document created by XML forms

Hi,
I have created some XML documents using an XML form.
The XML form contains two Show forms, Show & Show2. The default is Show. When I view the XML document via a KM Docs iView the default Show form is used to display the resource.
If I wish to display the XML document using a KM Docs iView, but using the Show2 (non-default) form how is this done?
I have created Layout Sets for each of the different ways to display the XML forms, but there is no option to choose Layout Set in the KM Docs iView config.

BPELConsole: Initiate does not show HTML or XML form to fill in variables

i am using a xsd with a cascaded import of other xsds.
If i use one import layer everything is fine.
But if i use something like:
1.xsd (imports 2.xsd)
2.xsd (imports 3.xsd)
The BPELConsole refuses to show me a HTML or XML form where i can fill in the variables...

For time being create one dummy process with request and response as a string type and call your process with the [xml]string input by creating partnerlink.
Generate xml from the schema with xml generator tools.
or use java api to invoke the process.

Document types show up twice when creating a new blank HTML document.

I followed the below instructions for getting HTML 5 as a document type option on CS4. Although I do have HTML 5 as an option now, my other stock CS4 document type options now show up twice in the menu. Any idea how to fix this?
To add the HTML document type, however, you need to modify the file named MMDocumentTypeDeclarations.xml. Here’s how to do that:
1. Find the configuration folder then navigate to the documenttypes folder. The Configuration folder can be found under the folder where you installed Dreamweaver.
2. Find and make a backup copy of MMDocumentTypeDeclarations.xml (MMDocumentTypeDeclarations.xml.bak)
3. Open MMDocumentTypeDeclarations.xml in your favorite text editor. If anything goes wrong, you can always get back to the default state by replacing your changes with the backup copy.
4. Go to the end of the document and find the </documenttypedeclarations> tag and add the following lines just before the </documenttypedeclarations> tag:

You should now have an HTML5 document type option when you create a new document.
There was an issue with Dreamweaver CS4 that needed to be fixed in code to fully support HTML5 documents which is why upgrading to CS5 was recommended. In CS4, Dreamweaver’s definition of a well formed HTML document has a meta content type which isn’t required for HTML5 documents so, no matter what we do to CS4, any HTML document created by CS4 will have the following:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
Replace that line with this:
<meta charset=utf-8">
You’ll need to do this every time you create a new HTML5 document.
Once you finish go to Preferences New Document and select HTML5 as default Doc Type...

How can i convert the HTML information in XML form to a PDF?

Hi does any body know how can i convert the content of an HTML field in a XML Form in a regular text to include in a PDF in a Java program?

Hi ,
On the tool bar you have an option "Browser" which is next to "HTML Editor" .
You know that for using these elements wo have to map them with Data Schema.
Step by step
1. In data Model Under Data Schema Add a child and name it Read_More.
2. In the left hand corner ,click on tab Type and from the drop down select "rid"
3.Click on the "Browser" from the toolbar (as told earlier) and drag and drop it on the form.
4. Drag the Data schema which u have made(Read_more) and drop it on the browser on form. On right hand side u will se the mapping done.
5.Click on the "Browser" which is there in the form and on the right hand side of the form u will see the property window.
6.In property window change the value of action property to "Item Entry point"
7. Repeat step 3 and 4 in Render and show form but using "label" nad not browser.
Do not forget to add Save button in Edit Form.
This will solve your problem.

You need to research the difference between an AcroForm and an XFA form. You're trying to access a "Field" object, which is an AcroForm object. An XFA form does not have fields, it has nodes. The JavaScript you are using is specific to AcroForms and you are working with an XFA form.

XML Form - Link open in Portal Content Area

I have created an XML form which displays a list of images as links to KM documents (eg a Read More... link).
The problem I have run into is that any link that you click on opens up in a new window.
Is there a setting somewhere that indicates that all links should be opened in the portal content area, rather than in a new window?

Rasim,
You can try doing this.
Logon to Portal.
Click Personalize option on the top left corner and choose work protect mode.
Choose "Discard unsaved data (open page in same window)"
Save and Exit.
Logoff and relogin and check.
