Xml inbound server

Hi!
I need to set up a inbound java proxy (stand-alone) for XI 2.0. There is a way to work around a bean implementation. By implementing the method on a Web Server.
In the documentation I read that, SAP offers the alternative by using a so called XML-Inbound Server. Which is a standalone application listening on the HTTP Port to receive the HTTP request coming out of the XI, delegating the request to the implementation method, and returning with a http response to the XI....
My only problem is to find this XML-Inbound Server. What is it? Just a bunch of jars? The Documentation tells me about go and startup scripts, and properties file where I can bound classes to lookup-names.
any hint would be great

Hello Emile,
do you have a solution regarding your problem? If not, here is a good one.
I think you have inserted the code inside the generated proxy method. Within this method it is a little bit tricky to get the controller structures filled. This could be done by parsing the input data once more... Here is an code example for this:
ls_input_data-name = 'INPUT'.
GET REFERENCE OF input INTO ls_input_data-value.
APPEND ls_input_data TO lt_input_data.
lo_server_context = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
lo_payload_protocol ?= lo_server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>payload ).
lo_payload_protocol->set_extended_xml_handling( extended_xml_handling = 'X' ).
lo_payload_handler = lo_payload_protocol->get_payload_handler( '<Name of structure data element>' ).
lo_payload_input = lo_payload_protocol->get_sent_request_payload( ).
lo_payload_handler->get_request_data_from_payload(
  EXPORTING
    payload = lo_payload_input
  CHANGING
    request_data = ls_input_data ).
But a much easier and better way is to insert the following coding within a constructor of the generated Proxy class.
lo_server_context = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
lo_payload_protocol ?= lo_server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>payload ).
lo_payload_protocol->set_extended_xml_handling( extended_xml_handling = 'X' ).
As in each standard ABAP class, you can insert your own constructor within proxy classes. If you do so and insert the code in it the controller table will be filled with the needed information.

Lars

  • Extended xml handling in asynchronous inbound (server) proxy

    Hello,
    I want to activate extended xml handling on an asynchronous inbound server proxy.
    looking at online help:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/73/3f5c3c3906b006e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

      lo_server_context   = cl_proxy_access=>get_server_context( ).
      lo_payload_protocol ?= lo_server_context->get_protocol( if_wsprotocol=>payload ).
      CALL METHOD lo_payload_protocol->set_extended_xml_handling( abap_true ).
    However the controller tables remain empty when executing a scenario to the application system.
    Also adding a static attribute extended_xml_handling does not have the correct result.

  • MDM adapter Non-XML Inbound Messaging

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario where I transport a csv file via PI (NW711_05_REL) to MDM using the File adapter (sender) and MDM adapter 7.1 7.1 (receiver).
    The message is sent through to the MDM port fine, and it seems to choose xml as default file type and PI MSG ID as file name.
    This results in an xml file with csv content.
    As I want to put the file on the port with its original file type (csv) and name, I need to tweak the MDM adapter a bit. For this I have tried to find MDM specific modules, but have been unable to do so.
    I have found a u201Cwork aroundu201D by using u201CSet Adapter Specific Message Attributeu201D on the sender file adapter u2013 described on help.sap.com
    Configuring the sender file adapter as described in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmdm71/helpdata/en/48/9854884d3217cee10000000a421937/content.htm i am able to set the "FileName" attribute in dynamic configuration.
    This enables me to get some of the desired effect, as the file on the MDM port is now a csv file u2013 half way there!! However the file name remains PI MSG ID...
    Am I missing something here or is the adapter not working as intended? I donu2019t understand why it should only use the file type when the entire filename and type is there. I would assume that the entire filename and extension would be used in the MDM port.
    I have tried achieving the desired result by using the "AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean" on a JMS adapter, but the result is the same.
    I would like to avoid developing my own custom module to handle this, as it seems like it should be possible to handle in a more standard way.
    I hope someone out there can help me out, and hope to see a lot of good replies.
    Best Regards,
    Jesper

    have you gone thur these settings?
    Non-XML Inbound Messaging
    When the backend system uses the PI File Adapter sender as the communication channel to deliver messages to the PI server, and the receiving MDM channel corresponds to an inbound MDM port of type other than XML (for example, Flat text file), then you must enable the File Adapter Specific Message Attribute named File Name as follows:
           1.      Edit the corresponding File Adapter sender communication channel.
           2.      In the Advanced tab, choose Set Adapter Specific Message Attribute.
           3.      Choose the File Name.
           4.      Save and activate the changes.

    RK,
    With no details of how you configured the XML server, what were the parameters used in the configuration for using external database, etc, I dont know how much can someone help you.
    This is an Oracle error, so a few things that could be problematic with your "big" xml -
    1.) An element name could be of length > 30 characters (Oracle table name length limit is 30)
    2.) There are some special characters in the element name
    3.) Element name begins with a Number
    4.) Element name is an Oracle reserved word.
    This list can go on.

  • Got error: Location Code is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server

    Hi,
    When I perform Compliance rule screening on GTM - Globel Trade Management,that I defined GTM as an Trading Partner on EBS R12.1.3,
    GTM can send response to EBS,but I see the following error message via Transaction Monitor on EBS workflow:
    [The Standard:OAG, Transaction Type:ITM , Transaction SubType:EXPORT_COMPLIANCE and Location Code GTM6.2 is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server. Pls check your Setup.]
    On EBS,I defined an ITM Partner for GTM,named 'GTM6.2',according to the document created by you: ITM Setup.doc
    and I also finished the following steps:
    1. ITM Application Users
    2.ITM Partner Service Types
    3.ITM Parameter Setup
    4.Order Type Creation: ITM Only
    5.Customer Creation: create a customer named 'GTM6.2', also enter 'GTM6.2' as EDI Location
    6.Define Transactions on XML Gateway as following:
    <Header>:
    Party Type: Customer
    Transaction Type: ITM
    Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLIANCE
    <External Transactions (Lines)>:
    Standard Code: OAG
    External Transaction Type: ITM
    External Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLAINCE
    Queue: APPLSYS.ECX_IN_OAG_Q
    7.Define Trading Partners on XML Gateway as following:
    <Header>:
    Trading Partner Type: Customer
    Trading Partner Name: GTM6.2
    <Trading Partner Details>:
    Transaction Type: ITM
    External Transaction Type: ITM
    External Transaction Sub Type: EXPORT_COMPLAINCE
    Map: WSHITEIN
    Source Trading Partner Location Code: GTM6.2 (same as the value what defined in EDI Location for customer)
    I think the combination of External Transaction Type, External Transaction Subtype, Standard Code,Source Trading Partner Location Code
    should be existing once done above steps, I have no idea why the error prompted.
    Does someone can tell how to trace the error?
    Thanks,
    Rambler

  • XML Data Server Problem

    I am trying to setup an XML data server and can't get passed the error: java.sql.SQLException: Could not generate the DTD because the file could not be created. Verify that you have write permission in the directory.
    I have placed my xml file in the odi\demo directory where the sample files are and it doesn't seem to help. Here is the url I'm using: jdbc:snps:xml?f=../demo/xml/sample-incident-report1.xml
    This url does not give the errors and connects w/o a problem: jdbc:snps:xml?f=../demo/xml/salesorg.xml
    Same directory, one gives the error and one does not.
    Thanks for any help.

    It seems that anything a little complex causes this error. I've tested with relatively flat xml documents and don't encounter the problem.

  • XML Data Server and model help

    All,
    I have the following files
    1) travel.dtd
    2) travel.xml.
    I've set up a XML data server with JDBC driver com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver and URL = jdbc:snps:xml?d=c:/XML/travel.dtd. I have created a model in designer and have successfully reversed the datastores generated from the dtd.
    The travel.xml file has data populated within it, but when I right click on the datastores, there is nothing displayed. This makes sense because the xml server is configured to point at the .dtd. Do I need to change my topology connection to connect to the xml document as opposed to the dtd. Can someone tell me what i'm missing?
    thanks for your help.

    Since its not displaying anything as you are saying you just change the property to "f" and check.
    Example
    jdbc:snps:xml?f=/xml/myxml.xml&d=/xml/myxcd.xsd&s=MYSCHEMANAME
    ("s=MYSCHEMANAME": This schema will be selected when creating the physical schema under the XML data server.)
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks

    JDBC Driver: com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver
    JDBC Url: jdbc:snps:xml?f=../demo/xml/Money.xml
    When I hit "Test", it gives me this annoying message:
    java.sql.SQLException: Could not generate the DTD because the file could not be created. Verify that you have write permission in the directory.
    I have no idea why. I definitely have permissions to write to that directory.
    Following the advice in my previous threads, I tried some new JDBC Url values. Here are the results:
    jdbc:snps:xml?d=../demo/xml/MONEY.xml&s=MONEY&rt=MONEY&ro=false
    This gives me a "Successful Connection", however when I try to add a New Model and Reverse it, it does not generate any data. (Sometimes this gives me an error, other times it seems to "work" but generates no data/tables).
    jdbc:snps:xml?d=../demo/xml/MONEY.xsd&s=MONEY&f=../demo/xml/MONEY.XML
    This gives me the following error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1
    jdbc:snps:xml?d=../demo/xml/Money.xsd
    This gives me the following error: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1
    Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? I even tried following Sai Praneeth's example (from my Re: New ODI User having trouble creating an XML Data Source... thread) with his exact simple xml file, and that works fine. Is there something wrong with my XSD file? ANY help would be appreciated, as I'm completely lost. Thank you.

    I have some Interface Mapping questions I was hoping someone could help me with. As you know, my source is an XML File and my target is an OracleDB. I'll start with the "EFFECTIVEDATE" field which was automatically mapped when I added the Source and Target Datastores. As I previously mentioned, this caused an error "Target Column EFFECTIVEDATE: Data may be truncated: the target Column is smaller than the source Column". After looking further into it, would the problem be that the "EFFECTIVEDATE" datatype in the XML is "DATETIME" whereas the "EFFECTIVEDATE" datatype in the database is "TIMESTAMP"? If so, what would be the fix for this? Could I convert it in the Implemenation Mapping like so? -
    CONVERT(MONEY.EFFECTIVEDATE,TIMESTAMP)
    Would using that in the Implementation simply do the trick?
    Anyway, moving onto some of the other TARGET fields...
    -ACTIVITYGUID
    This should be an automatically generated new GUID value. How could I implement this into the Implementation?
    -TRANSACTIONGUID
    I'll need to query some of the other tables in the database in order to get this value. Is this allowed in the Implemenation? Do I have to add said tables to the target somehow? Can I just query the other tables in the Implementation field using normal select statements, etc.? I'm a bit confused on how this would work...
    -TYPECODE
    This needs to be a fixed value of '01'. How do I simply do that in the Implementation?
    The other fields will all be implemented similar to the above so those are the main questions I have for now. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Parse XML Inbound Interface file

    What are SAP best practices to parse XML Inbound Interface file?
    Currently we are parsing XML Inbound file with custom ABAP code, but it is somewhat cumbersome and requires maintenance.
    We do not any middleware that can parse file for us.
    Is there is any best way we can handle this without lot of maintenance..

    You can do it thro XLST..
    Check this links..
    Upload XML to internal table and vice versa in SAP 4.6C
    /people/r.eijpe/blog/2005/11/10/xml-dom-processing-in-abap-part-i--convert-an-abap-table-into-xml-file-using-sap-dom-approach
    YOu can do it through XLST. it is supported in ABAP from 4.7. you can create a XSLT, and read you XML, then CALL TRANSFORMATION to convert a XML into ABAP data structure.

  • Create jms queue xml data server

    Hi,
    What's the difference between jms queue and jms queue xml data servers and how to create jms queue xml data server.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    JMS messages can principally be processed by Oracle Data Integrator in two formats:
    - JMS Messages: containers for rows of data, handled through JMS Queue/JMS Topic Technologies. With JMS Queue/JMS Topic technologies, each JMS destination is defined similarly to a flat file datastore. Each message in the destination is a record in the datastore.
    - XML Messages: containers for XML files, handled through JMS XML Queue/JMS XML Topic Technologies. With JMS XML Queue/JMS XML Topic technologies, each messages payload contains a complete XML data structure. This structure is mapped into a relational schema (XML Schema) which appears as a model. This use the Oracle DI Driver for XML (see the driver documentation in Oracle DI documentation).
    Find below a step by step creation process for such a destination:
    1. Data Server
    To create a JMS XML Queue data server, you declare a simple JNDI connection. The only JMS XML specific information is added to the URL. This information defines the XML file format.
    The JNDI URL should be : <JMS_RESOURCE>?d=<DTD_FILE>&f=<XML_FILE>&s=<SCHEMA>&JMS_DESTINATION=<JMS_DESTINATION_NAME>
    - JMS_RESOURCE: JNDI resource corresponding to your JMS queue that will contain the XML payload. You would specify this URL if you were managing normal JMS messages.
    - DTD_FILE: path to a DTD file that describes the XML structure. Mandatory if the parameter XML_FILE is omitted.
    - XML_FILE: path to the XML file with a structure similar to the expected XML messages. Mandatory if the DTD_FILE parameter is omitted.
    - SCHEMA: schema name that will contain the XML structure. This value must match the one set for the physical schema attached to this data server. This parameter is mandatory.
    - JMS_DESTINATION_NAME: name of the JMS queue or topic. This parameter is mandatory.
    2. Schema
    Creation is straightforward: In the Schema (Schema) and Schema (Work Schema), enter the name of the <SCHEMA> defined in the data server JNDI URL.
    3. Model
    Use standard reverse-engineering. As the Oracle DI Driver for XML is used the XML structure will be reversed as a relational structure.

  • Using the fireworks XML RPC server

    Hi, I am trying to use the XML RPC server in fireworks to export pages of a PNG.
    The relevant help url: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/fireworks/cs/extend/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d1183c949219-7ffe. html
    And the pdf version: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/fireworks/cs/extend/fireworks_cs5_extending.pdf (chapter 7)
    All I want to do is open a file, call exportPages(), and close it. So far this has been a very painful experience. I have CS5 Design Premium on a mac (os 10.5) if it matters. But I have the same problem 1 with my copy of CS3.
    Problem 1
    Fireworks never ever returns a document id. It also does not return an error number. The value attribute of the returned obj element and any error attributes are empty. Here are some example calls and responses:
    request: <func name="createDocument" obj="fw"></func>
    response: <return><obj value="" class="DocumentClass"></obj></return>'
    request: <func name="closeDocument" obj="fw"><string order="0" value="0" /><bool order="1" value="false" /></func>
    response: <return error=""></return>
    Note the value of the response is empty. This is always the case, unless I get something back that is not an integer. For instance. I am able to get the path url of the open doc:
    request: <func name="getDocumentPath" obj="fw"></func>
    response: <return><string value="file:///Macintosh%20HD/Users/me/work/somefile.png"></string></return>
    Is anyone else using this with any success? Will a FW dev some here and set me straight? I am opening a socket with python like this:
    import socket
    self._sock = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM)
    self._sock.connect(('localhost', 12124))
    It seems like anything that is an int on FW end doesn't come through the response?
    Problem 2
    When I open a file that was created in CS3 with the API, a blocking dialog pops up asking about converting the fonts. FW will not return my request until this dialog is dismissed. Is there any way around this? This pretty much nullifies any automation with fireworks on files create by an older version.
    Any help or insight into either of these would be extraordinarily helpful. Or if you have a way to export pages from a FW PNG without running fireworks, I would love love love to hear it. Judging by the RPC documentation, the availability of info online (virtually none!) and my experience with it, it seems adobe doesn't care about it all that much.

    Hi Priyanka. It seems you are using the JS api? Flash? I am trying to use this via the XML RPC server in fireworks. Those are precisely the calls I am making to the RPC server with no avail: they do not return document ids. If you get a chance, can you (or anyone) run the following python code? Just open fireworks CS5, open a file and run this python code. It should return (print) the document id of the current document in a value="" attribute.
    import socket
    s = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM)
    s.connect(("localhost", 12124))
    dom = '<func name="getDocumentDOM" obj="fw"><string order="0" value="document" /></func>\0'
    s.send(dom)
    res = []
    r = s.recv(1)
    while ord(r):
        res.append(r)
        r = s.recv(1)
    print ''.join(res)
    Like I said earlier, this code works for me with CS3, but does not work with CS5; value="" is empty.
    I am not running this on a server. I am just trying to do some batch processing.
    Ben
